Donald Leslie Lee
Life-long farmer

Donald Leslie Lee, 80, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at his home at 20844 Hancock CR 26, Mt. Blanchard.

He was born in Amanda Township, Hancock County, May 25, 1919, to Addison and Margaret (Twining) Lee. His wife, Chloe E. (Benner) Lee, whom he married Feb. 14, 1953, in Eagle Township, Hancock County, survives.

Survivors also include: two daughters, Mrs. Perry (Janice K.) Miller and Mrs. Arthur (Sharon A.) Van Horn, both of Findlay; two sons, Bruce A. and Brian G. Lee, both of Vanlue; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were five brothers, Russell, Morton, Herman, Clyde and Evert Lee; and two sisters, Martha Bright and Frances Lee.

Mr. Lee, a life-long farmer, with his brother, Evert Lee, also did ditching work in Vanlue and the surrounding areas in the 1940s-60s.

A 1937 graduate of Vanlue High School, he was a member of the Farm Bureau.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater and was the recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Pastor Aaron Kaukonen will be the officiant at the 2 p.m. Sunday service in the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey. Interment will be in Lee cemetery, Vanlue.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 1-2 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Lucille B. Stine
Homemaker

Lucille B. Stine, 84, of Tiffin, died at 9:57 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

She was born June 19, 1915, in Attica, to Lester and Jennie (Moyer) Bordner. Her husband, Clarence E. Stine, whom she married May 4, 1933, preceded her in death.

Surviving are: two daughters, Carol Brown of Tiffin and Mrs. William (Donna) Myers of San Maria, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Bordner of Attica; and two sisters, Ellen Cousino of Lakeland, Fla., and Rosemond Baker of Attica.

Also preceding her in death were a brother, Virgil Bordner, and a sister, Dorothy Gangluff.

A life-time Seneca County resident, Mrs. Stine was a homemaker.

Services in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home will be noon Tuesday, with the Rev. Howard Huston officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Melmore United Methodist Church.

Joshua Stallings
7-month-old son

Joshua Thomas Stallings, 7-month-old son of Thomas and JoLynn (Taylor) Stallings of Huron, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999.

He was born April 14, 1999.

Survivors include his parents; maternal great-grandparents, Doyle and Mary Flenner of Venice, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Charles and Sue Taylor, formerly of Tiffin, also of Venice, Fla.; paternal grandmother Dorothy Coffey of Kentucky, formerly of Attica; paternal grandfather, Jack Stallings of Attica; aunts, uncles and eight cousins.

Joshua was preceded in death by twin siblings, Nicholas Keith and Serena Jane; paternal grandmother, Dolores Jane Moore; and several uncles.

Memorial services were Nov. 19 in The Chapel in Akron and on Nov. 20 in Norwalk Alliance Church.

Memorials may be made to Norwalk Alliance Church, in care of the Joshua Thomas Stallings Memorial Fund, 2755 SR 250 S., Norwalk, Ohio 44857.

Mary 'Jane' Souders
Mother of Tiffin resident

Mary "Jane" Souders, 59, of 1428 Sawmill Cove, Findlay, died at 2:13 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.

She was born in Findlay, Nov. 18, 1940, to Hubert A. "Hub" and Alice Ruth (George) Kuhlman. Her mother survives in Findlay. On July 30, 1960, she married James B. Souders, who survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Daniel L. Souders of Bluffton and Scott A. and Matthew J. Souders, both of Findlay; a daughter, Angela J. Souders of Tiffin; five grandchildren; a brother, Karl Joseph Kuhlman of Findlay; and a sister, Mrs. Michael (Anne Marie) Moore, also of Findlay.

Her father and a sister, Jean Ann Kuhlman, are deceased.

Mrs. Souders, a homemaker and child-care provider, also was co-owner of the Pony Express Drive Thru in Findlay.

She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Findlay and its Altar Rosary Society.

A funeral Mass in St. Michael Catholic Church, downtown Findlay, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Michael School.

Harold F. Walton
National Machinery retiree

Harold F. Walton, 85, formerly of 426 W. Seventh St., Sycamore, died at noon Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, in Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky.

He was born in Chicago, Ill., July 22, 1914, to Leonard C. and Bessie (Grummel) Walton. He had never married .

Survivors include: a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Manz of Tiffin; two brothers, Verl K. and Dale E. Walton, both of the Tiffin area; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Delmar and Lowell Walton, also are deceased.

Mr. Walton, a 1932 graduate of Melmore High School, retired as an assembler in 1976, from the National Machinery in Tiffin, where he had been employed for 30 years.

An avid fisherman, he was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and its Christian Service Sunday School class and the National Machinery Quarter Century Club.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was a member of the 550th Ambulance Corps and part of the 5th Army that went through Africa and into Italy.

Private family graveside services will be in Smithville cemetery, Wyandot County, with the Rev. Daniel Bare and the Rev. David Powell, co-officiating.

There will be no visitation. The Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, is in charge of arrangements.

Anthony Taylor
Clyde Elementary first grader

Anthony Taylor, age 7, of CR 212, Fremont, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, in the Children's Medical Center, Toledo, after a sudden illness.

He was born Aug. 1, 1992, in Detroit, Mich., to Troy and Jill (Hadley) Taylor, who survive.

Also surviving are his grandparents Boyd and Mary Beth Taylor of Clyde and Roe and Shirley Moore of Indiana.

Anthony, a first grade student at South Main Elementary School in Clyde, enjoyed playing T-ball this past summer, watching wrestling on TV and collecting wrestling figures.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Foos-Klein Funeral Home, Clyde. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Louis C. 'Louie' Lehman
Upper Sandusky businessman

Louis C. "Louie" Lehman, 81, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at his home at 616 Sunset Drive, Upper Sandusky.

He was born July 1, 1918, in Archbold, to Clement and Beatrice (Grimes) Lehman. His wife, Grace M. (Bunce) Lehman, whom he married April 30, 1951, survives.

Survivors also include: two sons, Roger W. Lehman of Columbus and Douglas J. Lehman of Upper Sandusky; four daughters, LuAnn Lehman, Deb Grover and Jackie Miranda, all of Upper Sandusky and Mrs. Leslie (Linda) Heimrick of McCutchenville; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Gary Lehman of Sandusky.

Preceding him in death were an infant daughter, Mary E.; and a sister, Cecilia Lauber.

Mr. Lehman, an Upper Sandusky businessman for 30 years, owned and operated the former Maxine's Apparel Shop. He also was the co-developer of both the Sunset Springs Recreational Area in Oceola and the Ohio Mini Farms, east of Upper Sandusky.

A World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, where he achieved the rank of sergeant and served in the India-Burma Theater, he was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where he served on its finance committee; Knights of Columbus 2050; former director and member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and served on the Wyandot Memorial Hospital board of trustees.

He also was a founding member of the Upper United Development Corp. and a member of American Legion Post 225.

An avid gardener, golfer and poker card player, he enjoyed being an entrepreneur and seeing things grow.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. James Holmer as celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation at the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, will be 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter Endowment Fund or the K of C Charity Funds.

Donna P. Reidling
Fostoria homemaker

Donna P. Reidling, 81, of Stinchcomb Drive, Fostoria, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.

She was born in Burgoon, March 1, 1918, to Irvin H. and Minnie (DeShetler) Niswander. On April 2, 1940, in Fremont, she married Harry E. Reidling, who died in July 1993.

Survivors include: a son, Roger Reidling of Houston, Texas; a brother, LaVerne Niswander of Fostoria; three sisters, Mrs. George (Mildred) Ingram of Fostoria, Leona Smith of McComb and Mrs. William (Norma) Fillhart, also of Fostoria; three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a son, William Reidling; four brothers, Dale, Cloyd, Wilbur and Robert Niswander; and four sisters, Doris Myers, Margie Zuern, Thelma Thomas and Ruth Rinebold.

Mrs. Reidling, a homemaker, was affiliated with Trinity United Brethren Church, Fostoria.

The Rev. Keith Davis will be the officiant at the 1:30 p.m. Wednesday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Margaret E. Butzin
Former Dayton Marine employee

Margaret E. Butzin, 77, of Green Springs, died Saturday evening, Nov. 27, 1999, in Bethesda Care Center, Fremont, after an extended illness.

She was born in Queen, Pa., July 4, 1922, to Caselton and Linnie (Feathers) Stiffler. On Feb. 24, 1945, she married Arnold A. Butzin. He died Feb. 22, 1997

Surviving are: a daughter, Connie Steinberger of Fremont; a son, Gary Butzin of Green Springs; a sister, Delma Fredrick of Oak Harbor; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Butzin was an employee of the former Dayton Marine in Fremont and prior to that she worked at the Fremont Company.

The Rev. Larry Knigga will be the officiant at the 2 p.m. Wednesday service in the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Interment will be in Limestone cemetery, Limestone, Ohio.

Visitation at the funeral home is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Mary Ellen Myers
Retired federal employee

Word has been received of the death of Mary Ellen Myers, 85, of Port Charlotte, Fla., who died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in a Port Charlotte nursing home.

She was born June 6, 1914, in Tiffin, to Leslie Leland and Ruth Isabel (Robenalt) Frederick. On Dec. 31, 1936, she married Phillip A. Myers. He died in 1991.

Mrs. Myers, a retired federal employee, was a Columbian High School graduate.

Survivors include: Ruth Evelyn Cooper and Robert B. Frederick, both of Tiffin, Leslie Frederick Jr. of Republic and Jack Frederick of Alford, Fla.

A brother Calvin is deceased.

The body has been cremated and interred in Lee Memorial Park, Lehigh Acres, Fla.

Lucille B. Stine
Tiffin homemaker

Services for Lucille B. Stine, 84, of Tiffin, who died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, have been changed to 12:30 p.m. today in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home.

Cozetta M. Daring
Fostoria Industries retiree

Cozetta M. Daring, 77, died at 3:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at her residence at 804 W. North St., Fostoria.

She was born in Fostoria Jan. 29, 1922, to Frank Rader and Alta Mae (Paugh) Rader Cardwell. Her husband, Kenneth L. Daring, who she married June 30, 1978, in the First Christian Church, Fostoria, survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: a son, Jack K. Walker Jr. of Dayton; two stepsons, David Daring of Findlay and Michael Daring of Carey; three sisters, Mrs. William (Garlyn) Saldausky and Phyllis Richard, both of Fostoria, and Mrs. Lewis (LaDonna) Arnold of Tiffin; three granddaughters, two great-granddaughters and three step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Daring, a member of Eagles Auxiliary 430 and Ladies of the Moose 1567, both of Fostoria, retired in 1983 as an assembler from Fostoria Industries, where she had worked for more than 10 years.

Services in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Bertie Dell officiating. Interment will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, where Moose memorial services will be at 6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care.

Eugene B. Runion
Basic retiree

Eugene B. Runion, 68, of 149 E. Buckeye St., Clyde, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo, after a brief illness.

He was born Dec. 24, 1930, in Tiffin, to the late Raymond

and Grace Runion.

Surviving are his former wife, Pat Runion of Indiana; two daughters, Miss Peggy Runion and Mrs. Maria Morrow, both of Clyde; a brother, Bruce Runion of Republic; four sisters, Marjorie Grover of Tiffin, Anna Sieger of Clyde, Betty Straub of Bettsville and Dora Corthell of Green Springs; and two grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Alfred and Sylvester Runion; and two sisters, Mazel King and Lucy Claybaugh.

Mr. Runion, a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, retired in 1985 from C.E. Basic, Bettsville, after 27 years.

He enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling.

Pastor Paul Finney will conduct the 10:30 a.m. Friday service in the Foos-Klein Funeral Home, Clyde. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, where Clyde American Legion Post 122 and VFW Post 3343 will conduct military graveside services.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Zella Pennycuff
Tiffin homemaker

Services were Monday in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, followed by burial in Fairmont cemetery, for Zella Pennycuff, 76, 11 Bobb St. She died at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Mercy Hospital, Tiffin.

Dr. Jacob Yaeger officiated.

She was born in McCreary County, Ky., June 18, 1923, to Lewis and Ada Mae (Strunk) Davis. On Sept. 13, 1939, in McCreary County, she married Robert Lee Pennycuff, who is deceased.

Survivors include: five sons, William Pennycuff of Tiffin, Lewis Pennycuff of Sidney, and Robert L. Jr., Jeffrey D. Sr. and Timothy Pennycuff, also all of Tiffin; five daughters, Sue Caroline Chaney, Debra Brock, Sheila Brock and Michelle Hayes, all of Tiffin, and Shirley Thorton of McCutchenville; 33 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Nelson and James Davis, both of Sidney, and Wendel Davis of Piqua; and five sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Maudie) Morgan of Montecello, Ky., Mrs. Lora Hill, Mrs. Hettie Bowman and Mrs. Don (Sula) Lynch, all of Stearns, Ky., and Mrs. Arnold (Wanda) Jones of Sidney.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Fredrick and Kevin Pennycuff; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Freeman, Clifford and Kenneth Davis; and a sister, Ina Davis.

Mrs. Pennycuff, a homemaker and a resident of the Tiffin area since 1947, was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the church.
