Robert E. 'Bob' Hogan
Gray Printing Co. retiree

Robert E. "Bob" Hogan, 69, of Walnut Street, Fostoria, died at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2000, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.

He was born in Columbus Jan. 21, 1931, to the late Herald and Claudia (Nicholson) Hogan. He married Donna Miller and they were divorced. On March 24, 1984, in Bucyrus, he married Dorothy Dible. She survives in Fostoria.

Survivors also include: a son, Dennis Hogan of Fostoria; a daughter, Sandra Jurrus of Fostoria; a stepson, Bob Dible of Bucyrus; two stepdaughters, Linda Maxwell of New Mexico and Judy Dible of Bucyrus; a sister, June Baker of Fostoria; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild, five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hogan, a 1949 Fostoria High School graduate, retired in 1991 from the Gray Printing Co. in Fostoria, after 30 years of employment.

A U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict, he was a member of Fostoria Elks, Moose, American Legion and VFW.

The Rev. Karl Kessler will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Friday service in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Knollcrest cemetery, near Arcadia, where military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Joint Veterans Groups of Fostoria.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church or Seneca County Hospice.

Dorothy M. Mundy
Millington Plastics retiree

Dorothy M. Mundy, 76, of 9678 CH 111, Upper Sandusky, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2000, in the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.

She was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Wyandot County, to Gilbert and Fern (Payne) Karcher. Her husband, George Edward Mundy, whom she married Feb. 7, 1941, in Tiffin, died May 19, 1974.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis "Butch" Mundy of Upper Sandusky and Tom R. Mundy of Paulding; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Sandy S.) Smith of Upper Sandusky; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Roma Kinley of Upper Sandusky, Illah Jane Wells of Cardington, Alma Kolarik of Arlington and Mary Tiell of New Riegel.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Joe E.; an infant daughter, Janice E.; two brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Mundy, who retired in 1968 from Millington Plastics in Upper Sandusky, collected wind chimes and refrigerator magnets. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, making afghans and cooking.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey, with the Rev. Ron Renauro officiating.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County.

The Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, is in charge of arrangements.

Daniel A. Flickinger Sr.
Relative of area resident

Daniel A. Flickinger Sr., 81, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, in Renaissance Village, Fort Wayne.

He was born in Lakewood to Archie and Amanda (Garn) Flickinger. His wife, Mary Jo Helen Flickinger, preceded him in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Ronald W. Flickinger of Fort Wayne and Daniel Jr. Flickinger Jr. of Bellevue, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Allyn (Ann) Plambeck of Berwyn, Pa.; four grandchildren; a brother, Neal Flickinger of Wickenburg, Ariz.

Mr. Flickinger, a graduate of Tri-State University, was the founder and chairman of the board of Flickinger Industries Inc. tool maker for Devilbiss, methods engineer for General Electric and co-founder of PHD Inc.

A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he attended Waynedale United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, where visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Lindenwood cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the church or Life Support Foundation, P.O. Box 9105, Fort Wayne, IN 46899.

Arthur Wernick
Appliance business proprietor

Word has been received of the death of Arthur Wernick of Pikesville, Md.., who died Tuesday, April 4, 2000.

His wife, Eugenia (Fey) Wernick, is deceased.

Survivors include: three children, William "Bill" Wernick of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Bill (Julie) VanBlarcom of Greenville, Del., and Mrs. Charles (Linda) Cassell of Washington, D.C.

Services and interment are at noon today in Baltimore Hebrew cemetery, Baltimore, Md.

Memorials may be made to the George Washington Cardiac Rehabilitation Fund, attention: Sue Keller, 600 22nd St., NW, Room 108, Washington, DC 20037.

Shiva will be observed at the residence of William Wernick.

A memorial service will be at the Towers, 4201 Cathedral Ave., NW Washington, D.C., at 2 p.m. April 30.

The Sol Levinson and Brothers Inc. are in charge of arrangements.

Cora E. Fitch
East Market St. homemaker

Cora E. Fitch, 91, formerly of 541 E. Market St., Apt. 2, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2000, in the Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born in New London, Ohio, March 1, 1909, to Sanford and Melinda (Beard) Davis. On Jan. 7, 1928, in Norwalk, she married Alfred E. Fitch. He died in August 1972.

Surviving are a son, Floyd C. Fitch of Tiffin; three daughters, JoAnne Y. Dunbar of Tiffin, Alice E. Padgett of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Laura K. "Kathy" James of Dayton; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Alfred Bowman of Mansfield and James Bowman of Cincinnnati.

Five brothers, Arthur, Maurice, Raymond, Charles and Herman Bowman; and a sister, Dorothy Bowman, also are deceased.

Mrs. Fitch, a homemaker, was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Tiffin, its Victory Class and Women's organizations.

Also formerly of 118 Hedges St., she had lived in the Tiffin area for 60 years.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Fairmont cemetery, with the Rev. Margaret Marks officiating.

There will be no visitation. The Turner-Engle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Dalma Caudill Thomas
Former Tiffin resident

Word has been received of the death of Dalma Caudill Thomas, 84, of Phoenix Ariz., who died Sunday, April 2, 2000, from heart failure.

She was born in Letcher County, Ky., and lived in Tiffin

before moving to Arizona in 1974.

Her husband, Carl Thomas is deceased

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Addington and Cleta Parker, both of Phoenix; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thomas had worked for General Electric in Tiffin, retiring as a hermetic motor winder,.

Services took place April 4 in Phoenix. Services also will be at 7 p.m. Friday in the Everidge Funeral Home, Whitesburg, Ky., with graveside services at 1 p.m. Saturday in Green Acres cemetery, Ermine, Ky.

Gina Gaietto
Tiffin resident

Gina Gaietto, 25, of 21 Sandusky St., Tiffin, died Thursday, April 6, 2000 at Toledo Hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1974 in Tiffin to Stephen and Maryanne (McCullough) Gaietto, both parents survive.

Other survivors include: step-parents, Cheri Gaietto and Michael Belmonte; a brother, Dominic Gaietto of Tiffin; a step-brother, Rick Wurster of Tiffin; Maternal grandmother, Marie Gaietto; Paternal Grandmother, Mary Jane Bushkuhl;

She was preceded in death by her: maternal grandfather, Bernard Gaietto; paternal grandfather, Leonard McCullough; and step-paternal grandfather, Richard Bushkuhl.

Ms. Gaietto was a current resident of the Filling Memorial Home of Mercy in Napoleon, OH. and attended the Quadquo Workshop. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

The Rev. William Rose will officiate the Funeral Mass to be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2000 at St. Mary's Church, Tiffin. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2000 at the Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home, Tiffin.

A Wake Service will be at 8 :30 p.m., on Sunday.

Memorials may be made to the Filling Memorial Home of Mercy, c/o the funeral home.

Mary A. Sizemore
Former Carey Homemaker

Mary A. Sizemore, 90, formerly of 593 S. Patterson St., Carey died in her daughter Carol Cole's home in Findlay at 9:21 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2000. She was born March 27, 1910 to Elza and Mary (Patton) Wright. On Dec. 28, 1929 she married Horace E. Sizemore, and he survives in Findlay.

Other survivors include: a son, Carl Sizemore of Carey; five daughters, Charlene Fuller of Findlay, Betty Blind of Carey, June Schwemley of Upper Sandusky, Janet Toland of Columbus, and Carol Cole of Findlay; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were: three brothers, Tollie, Dee and John Wright; four sisters, Della Hall, Lulu Cameron, Caroline Bear, and Arlena Messer.

Mrs. Sizemore was a homemaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Brush Ridge, Ohio.

The Rev. Durward Edwards will officiate the 11 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2000 funeral service at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. Burial will be at Spring Grove cemetery in Carey.

Visitation hours are from 2-9 p.m., tonight at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church of Bridge Hospice c/o the funeral home.

Dolly M. Marshall
Carey resident

Dolly M. Marshall, 67, of 245 E. South St., Carey, died at 9:18 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2000 in the Emergency Room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. She was born March 1, 1933 to Bill and Mary Alice (Horne) Sparks, both deceased. On Aug. 13, 1954 she married Larvell Marshall, he passed away.

Surviving include: three sons, Melvin R. Marshall of Columbus, Alvin D. Marshall of Findlay, and Phillip W. Marshall of Alvada; a daughter, Teresa Marshall of Findlay; five sisters, Carrie Cristp of Findlay, Ann Howard of Fostoria, Mrs. Louise Wise of Upper Sandusky, Ida Walter of Findlay, and Mrs. Dorothy Linhart of Upper Sandusky; a brother, Bill Sparks of Telbarton, W.V.; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were: a sister, Sarah E. Beheren; and a brother, Curtis Sparks.

Mrs. Marshall worked as a nurse's aide at Indian Trail Nursing Home in Carey. She was a member and past youth leader of the Pentecostal Church of God, Carey.

The Rev. Billy Turner and The Rev. Robert Turner will officiate the 2 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2000 funeral service at the Pentecostal Church of God in Carey. Burial will be at the Hickory Grove cemetery in Alvada.

Visitation hours are from 3-9 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2000 at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.

Memorials may be made to the church in care of the funeral home.

Josephine Mira
Bellevue homemaker

Josephine Mira, 86, of 236 Lyme St., Bellevue, died in the Bellevue Care Center on Wednesday, April 5, 2000. She was born June 23, 1913 to Biago and Theresa (Travaglia) Faragi. On April 23, 1931 she married James Mira, he passed away.

Survivors include: three sons, Anthony Mira of Republic, William Mira of Bellevue, and Sam Mira of Huron; a daughter, Mrs. Theresa DeBlase of Bellevue; three sisters, Angie Fontana of Bellevue, and Maria and Biagina, both of Sicily; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband and four brothers.

There will be a private funeral service held at the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Bellevue.

Visitation hours are from 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m., at the Foos & Son Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, 715 S. Taft Ave., Fremont, OH 43420.

Victoria Helen French
Former Tiffin resident

Victoria Helen French, 83, of Ann Arbor, MI., formerly of Tiffin, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at Glacier Hills Nursing Center after a long illness. She was born on April 11, 1916 in Toledo to Joseph and Amelia (Fero) Lofay. On Oct. 10, 1948 she married Carl French, he passed away.

Surviving include: a son, David A. French of Ann Arbor, Mi.; a daughter, Jaynellen Handley of Barrington, Ill.; two sisters, Anna Lofay and Justine McIntyre, both of Tiffin; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Carl and Peter Lofay; and two sisters, Amelia West and Mary Kirchner.

Mrs. French was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, and member of the Caro Community Hospital Auxiliary.

A private family memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Mrs. French.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Muehling Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Ave., Ann Harbor, MI. 48104.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glacier Hills Nursing Center, 1200 Earhart Rd., Ann Arbor, MI. 48105.

Gwendolen A. (Tracy) Rex
Homemaker/floral designer

Gwendolen A. (Tracy) Rex, 90, who died at 5:15 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Seneca House, Tiffin. Her obituary originally ran in the A-T's Monday, April 3rd paper.

The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2000, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation hours are from one hour prior to the Funeral Mass at the church. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
