Joshua Paul Carlson
(1977- 2004)

EDON - Joshua Paul Carlson, 27, of Edon, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident which occurred in Muskegon, Mich.
Born May 10, 1977, at Toledo, he was the son of Sandie (Ziegler) and Todd Carlson.
An Eagle Scout with Troop 66, Toledo, he was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Edon, Williams County 4-H and had attended high school in Edon.
Surviving are his parents; a son, Jobe Carlson; a daughter, Gabrielle Heckman; a brother, Daniel Carlson; sisters, Deanna and Stephanie Carlson; grandmother, Peg Ziegler; and grandfather, Walter Carlson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin Ziegler and Barbara Carlson.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-7 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee.
Services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. A memorial service will also be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Edon.
Memorials may be made to Williams County 4-H or Boy Scout Camp Pioneer.

Sammie "Sam" Mullins
(1948 - 2004)

PAULDING - Sammie "Sam" Mullins, 55, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Boston Heights. Born Nov. 7, 1948, at Gapville, Ky., to Curtis (Miller) and Dennis Mullins, he married Wilma Sue Marsh on Jan. 20, 1972, and she survives.
Employed as a manager of local operations for Alltell Corporation for 30 years, he had served two terms in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict.
He was a former member of Kenton Masonic Lodge FA&M, a former member of the Paulding Lions Club, a former member of Paulding Kiwanis Club and a former Boy Scout leader of Troop No. 320, Paulding. He was a member of the Paulding County Carnegie Library Board for 18 years and Paulding VFW Post 587.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gaylord (Sonja) Proxmire III of Paulding; a son, Shawn Mullins of Bryan; a sister, Mrs. Dennis (Penny) Seabright of Kenton; three brothers, Denver (and wife, Trish) Mullins, Charlie (Dorothy) Mullins, all of Kenton, and Danny Mullins of Sidney; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tommy Mullins; and an infant grandson, Jonathan Proxmire.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 8-11 a.m. in the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Glenn Sprang and Pastor Michael Joseph Wells to officiate. Burial will be in Paulding Memorial Cemetery with military graveside services.
Memorials may be made to the Paulding County Carnegie Library or to the American Cancer Society.

Frances Knapp

Frances Knapp, 85, of Bryan and formerly of Englewood, Fla., died early Saturday morning, June 12, 2004, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio-Bryan.
Arrangements are pending at the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan.

Mattloc E. Overmyer
(1983 - 2004)

CECIL - Mattloc E. Overmyer, 21, of Cecil, died Thursday morning, June 10, 2004, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Crane Township, Ohio.
Born May 6, 1983, at Cass County, Ind., he was the son of Penny (Keegan) and Gerald "Butch" Overmyer.
Employed in maintenance at Diehl Inc., Defiance, for one and a half years, he was a graduate of Paulding High School and a member of the Defiance Eagles and the Crane Township Volunteer Fire Dept., Cecil.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. A.J. (Kelly) Greathouse of Monticello, Ind.; a brother, Johanthan Overmyer of Cecil; grandparents, Kenneth and Maxine Keegan of Cecil, Mrs. Frank (Sally) Sturdivant of Delphi, Ind., Gerald (and wife, Beverly) Overmyer of Bolton, Texas, and Al and Sandy Brown of Delphi, Ind.; great-grandmother, Iva Keegan of Montgomery, Mich. He is also survived by one niece, one nephew, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were an infant sister and grandfather, Dave Burkett.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-9 p.m. and 8-11 a.m. in the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forder-Bethel Cemetery, Cecil.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Loren C. Blomeke
(1938 - 2004)

GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. - Loren C. Blomeke, 66, died Monday, June 7, 2004, at Green Valley, Ariz. after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born Jan. 8, 1938, at Edon, Ohio, he was the son of Blanche and Basil Blomeke.
Working as a mechanical engineer for most of his life, he was employed at Aro Corp for over 30 years and Raytheon Corp. for 13. He most recently worked at Wal-Mart as an assembler. A member of the Valley Presbyterian Church, he was also a member of the Desert Hills Golf Club and the Loyal Order of the Moose, serving as past president.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Gwen Dickinson and Mrs. Riley (Cindy) Smith; six grandchildren, Erik and Aimee Dickinson and Faith, Hope,  Taylor and Lauren Smith; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Diel; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 18, at 2 p.m. in the Valley Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to the Arizona Cancer Center/UAF, P.O. Box 245013, Tucson, AZ 85724 or the Carondelet Hospice Services, 1802 West St. Mary's Rd., Tucson, AZ 85745-2619.

Lula M. Allen
(1929 - 2004)

EDGERTON - Lula M. Allen, 74, of Edgerton, died early Saturday morning, June 12, 2004, at her residence.
Born June 28, 1929, at Jacksonville, Ill., to Hazel (Andrews) and Edward Vincent Tighe, she married John A. Allen on Dec. 20, 1947, at Jacksonville, Ill., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1987.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Lee Ann) Abbruzzese of Edgerton; a son, John P. (and wife, Teresa) Allen of Edgerton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Ida Reif of Edgerton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be private with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Edna E. Becker
(1920 - 2004)

STRYKER - Edna E. Becker, 83, of Stryker, died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan.
Born Aug. 29, 1920, at Hillsdale, Mich., to Effie (Whitney) and the Rev. Walter Linebrink, she married Glen F. Becker on May 2, 1943, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a bookkeeper for the Stryker Village Clerks office for many years.
She was a member of the Stryker United Brethren Church, where she had served many years as the church pianist.
Surviving are three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a son-in-law, Michael Travis of Osseo, Mich.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Terry Becker; and a daughter, Barbara Travis.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Nick Woodall to officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Stryker.
Memorials may be made to the Stryker United Brethren Church or to Gideons International.
