David Breidenbach
Hopewell-Loudon graduate

David Michael Breidenbach, 22, of 78 Allen St., died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at 24 Fostoria St.

He was born June 10, 1978, in Tiffin, to Wayne and Paula (Smith) Breidenbach, who both survive on Allen Street.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Daniel and Roger Breidenbach of Yorktown, Va., and Tiffin, respectively; a sister, Mrs. Shawn (Judy) Messnard of Tiffin; maternal grandparents, Paul and Glenda Smith of Tiffin; and two nephews. His paternal grandparents, Carl and Regina Breidenbach, preceded him in death.

A 1997 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mr. Breidenbach was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

The Rev. James Say will officiate at the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St.

Pedro DeLaRosa Sr.
Fostoria maintenance worker

Pedro "Pete" DeLaRosa Sr., 66, died at 5:42 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Medical College of Ohio.

Born June 28, 1934, in Asherton, Texas, he married Frances R. Reyes (Zepeda) on Oct. 7, 1955, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. She survives in Fostoria.

Seven children all survive in Fostoria, including: four sons, Mario L., Omar B. Sr., Pedro J. and John A. DeLaRosa; and three daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Mary A.) Stewart, Mrs. Dennis (Celia D) Herr, and Anna M. DeLaRosa. Also surviving are: 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ismael J., Bonifacio, and John A. DeLaRosa, all of Fostoria; and a sister, Ofelia Caredenas of Toledo.

Preceding him in death were: a son, Pedro DeLaRosa; a granddaughter, Alisha DeLaRosa; and a brother, Santos DeLaRosa.

Having retired from Fostoria Area Federal Credit Union, Mr. DeLaRosa had worked 17 years in maintenance at St. Wendelin Parish, Fostoria, where he was a member. He served in the U.S. Marines in the Korean War era.

The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with burial to follow in St. Wendelin cemetery, Fostoria. The United Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military graveside services.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Another rosary will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church before the Mass.

Memorials may be made to the church or to the United Way of Fostoria.

Thomas P. Guthrie
Marion resident

Thomas P. Guthrie, 54, of 345 N. Prospect St., Marion, died at 3:43 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in the Marion General Hospital.

He was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Lima, to John Joseph and Zella (Ball) Guthrie. His mother survives in Tiffin. He had never married .

Survivors also include: a brother, Paul S. Guthrie of Dayton; and a sister, Mrs. Roger (Patricia A.) Frisch of Cincinnati.

His father is deceased.

Mr. Guthrie, a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School, had attended St. Joseph College, Rensselaer, Ind. for three years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.

Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery at a later date.

There will be no visitation.The Hoffman-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Donald W. Eingle
A.O. Smith retiree

Donald W. Eingle, 54, of 7890 SH 23, Carey, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in the Emergency Room of Fostoria Community Hospital. Arrangements are pending at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.

Karen L. Fisher
Factory assembler

Karen L. Fisher, 52, of Sandusky CR 268, Clyde, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in the Toledo Hospital.

She was born Oct. 11, 1948, in Bellevue, to Hobart and Ruth (Karg) Lenhart. Her mother, now Ruth (Karg) Lenhart Gerstenberger, survives in Fremont. On Aug. 19, 1968, she married Thomas Fisher, who also survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Greg Fisher of Clyde; a daughter, Amy Fisher, also of Clyde; a grandson; two brothers, Dennis Lenhart of Clyde and Terry Lenhart of Delaware, Ohio; two step-brothers, David and Donald Gerstenberger, both of Clyde; a step-sister, Shirley Van Kirk of Bellevue; and her step-father, Charles Gerstenberger of Fremont.

Her father died in 1962.

Mrs. Fisher, a 1967 graduate of York High School, was employed as an assembler at Wollins Plastics in Clyde.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Olbia L. Dirmeyer
Retired bookkeeper

Olbia L. Dirmeyer, 91, formerly of 214 Summit St., Upper Sandusky, died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, in the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.

She was born March 2, 1909, in Eden Township, Wyandot County, to William and Sarah M. (Tschanen) Dirmeyer. She had never married .

Survivors include a brother, Walter Dirmeyer of Upper Sandusky; and a sister, Linda Rowland of Toledo.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Robert and Benedict; and a sister, Ruth.

Miss. Dirmeyer, a 1928 graduate of Eden High School, had attended Tiffin Business College.

She retired as a bookkeeper after 25 years of employment at Pfeifer Hardware, Upper Sandusky. She also was an assistant curator at the Wyandot County Museum, Upper Sandusky.

A member of the Green Thumb Garden Club and the Protestant Faith, she attended John Stewart United Methodist Church, Upper Sandusky.

The Rev. Cathy Wirth will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Wednesday service in the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Upper Sandusky.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Wyandot County Historical Society or a charity of the donor's choice, in care of the Bringman-Clark and Company Funeral Home, P.O. Box 246, Upper Sandusky.

Robert Francis Ledwedge
Retired Mercy Hospital LPN

Robert Francis Ledwedge, 80, of 6256 W. TR 112, Fostoria, died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Fostoria, to Patrick and Catherine (Lemm) Ledwedge. His wife, Mary A. (Colatruglio) Ledwedge, whom he married April 27, 1940, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, survives.

Other survivors include: four children, Mrs. Robert (Katie) Gosche of Fostoria, Patrick J. Ledwedge of McCutchenville, Mrs. David (Francine) Ritzler and Mrs. William (Joanne) Kagy, both of Findlay; two sisters, Patricia Meyers of Fostoria and Mrs. Richard (Julie) Wasserman of Fremont; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, William and James.

A retired licensed practical nurse, Mr. Ledwedge had been employed at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin for 31 years; at St. Francis Home and St. Bernardine's Hospital, San Bernardino, Calif.

A World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Philippines and Japan, he attained the rank of staff sergeant.

He attended St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, where he served as a Eucharistic minister for many years; the former Holy Name Society and the Third Order of St. Francis.

A Catechist certified in basic and advanced C.C.D. teaching, Mr. Ledwedge taught classes for 23 years at St. Patrick, St. Andrew, Liberty; St. Stevens, Republic and Rock of Ages in Hawaii. He also worked as a teacher's aide in the St. Wendelin Schools.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick Catholic Church, with con-celebrants the Rev. Art Niewiadomski and the Rev. Richard Dunn. The rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, where a wake service will take place.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Right to Life, the donor's choice, Little Sisters of the Poor, Oregon, Ohio; Sisters of St. Francis, Tiffin; Ursuline Sisters, Toledo; The Sisters of Notre Dame, Toledo or Sisters of Mercy, Tiffin.

Harold D. Wiseman
Atlas Crankshaft retiree

Harold D. Wiseman, 60, of 1739 Crystal Ave., Findlay, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in an auto accident at the corner of SR 281 and 199 in Wood County.

He was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Vinton County, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Alice (Knapper) Wiseman. On Nov. 9, 1973, he married Mary L. Stearns, who survives.

Survivors also include: three sons, Randy and Steven Wiseman, both of Wayne and Jeffrey Wiseman of Bradner; a step-son, Daniel Shaver of Findlay; two daughters, Kristal Wiseman and Mrs. Roxann Garner, both of Wayne; two step-daughters, Robin Arnold and Penny Shaver, both of Findlay; 13 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a brother, Dale Wiseman of Findlay; and four sisters, Buelah Palmer of Woodville, Mrs. Breta Mock of Gibsonburg, Ruby Wiseman of Kingman, Ariz. and Mrs. Leon (Violet) Neunum of Indiana.

Four brothers, Watson, Roy, James and Lawrence Wiseman, also are deceased.

Mr. Wiseman retired from the Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria.

The Rev. Gene Milioni will be the officiant at the 1:30 p.m. Thursday service in the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Interment will be in Graham cemetery, Wayne.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Walter A. Von Blon
Retired mechanic

Walter A. Von Blon, 88, of 202 W. Seventh St., Sycamore, died at 10:47 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.

He was born March 20, 1912, in Wyandot County, to William and Ethel (Hall) Von Blon. He first married Catherine Swerline in 1934, and they were later divorced. His second wife, Marie (Ekleberry) Von Blon, whom he married in 1954, died April 22, 1974. His close companion of 24 years, Mrs. Catherine Van Hoosier, died in February, 2000.

Surviving are a son, Gene B. Von Blon of rural McCutchenville; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence E. Von Blon of Sycamore; and a sister, Mrs. Garland Hall, also of Sycamore.

Mr. Von Blon, a retired mechanic, worked for the Sycamore Garage, Simonis Chevrolet and Stover's Gulf, all of Sycamore.

A member of the Protestant Faith, he also worked as a former manager of the Garden Theatre in Frankfurt, Mich. for 10 years and at the Corfman Gravel Company.

A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he also was a member of the Corfman Graveliers and Sycamore American Legion Post 250, where he was a life member.

The Rev. Edgar W. Shelly will conduct the 11 a.m. Thursday graveside service in Pleasant Ridge cemetery, Sycamore, where military graveside services will be conducted by Sycamore American Legion.

There will be no visitation. The Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Sycamore American Legion Post 250 or the Mohawk Historical Society.

Donald W. Eingle
A.O. Smith retiree

Donald W. Eingle, 54, of 7890 SH 23, Carey, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in the Emergency Room at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born May 23, 1946, in Carey, to the late Sylvester C. and Doris M. (Edgington) Eingle. He married Becky Row, and they were later divorced..

Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Brian (Jeanie) Jacoby of Carey; two sons, Brian Hackworth of Carey and Larry Hackworth of Dunn, N.C.; five grandchildren; and a brother, David E. Eingle of Findlay.

Mr. Eingle, a 1967 graduate of Carey High School, retired from A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co. in Upper Sandusky in October, 1999, after 31 years of employment.

He was a member of the Protestant Faith, Springville Militia and Local 1643 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Pastor James R. Sharrett will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Wednesday service in the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Donald W. Eingle Memorial Fund, in care of the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, Ohio 43316-1169.

Doris Lucille Brause
Search Ministries volunteer

Doris Lucille Brause, 69, died around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at her home in Mission Viejo, Calif., of multiple myeloma (cancer).

She was born May 3, 1931, in Mansfield. Her mother, Mildred L. Oswalt, survives in Danville, Va. Her husband, Dr. Dorsey W. Brause, survives in Mission Viejo.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Ann B. Barkley of Mission Viejo; a son, Ned G. Brause of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Marvel E. Johnson of Danville; a brother, Dr.John N. Oswalt of Jackson, Miss.; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Brause had served as a volunteer for Search Ministries for the past nine years.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mission Hills Church, Mission Viejo. Burial will be in El Toro Memorial Park, Lake Forest, Calif.

Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday in the O'Connor Laguna Hills Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, Calif. and at the church 1-1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials may be made to Search Ministries Expansion Fund, 5038 Dorsey Hall Rd., Ellicott City, Md. 20143.

Bessie Sutto
Sister of Tiffin resident

Word has been received of the death of Bessie Sutto, 81, of Ozark, Ark., who died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in an Ozark hospital.

She was born Oct. 7, 1919, to Clarence and Loretta Billiard. She first married Ghale Croxton. Her second husband, Joseph Sutto, whom she married Jan. 13, 1968, in Sandusky, survives.

Survivors also include: a step-son, Ken Sutto of Lacey, Wash.; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Kessler of Tiffin and Gladys Smith of Auburn, Ga.

Mrs. Sutto, a 1937 graduate of Attica High School, had lived in Marblehead until retiring to Ozark.

Upon her request the body was cremated.
