Clarence K. Yates
Former A-T employee

Clarence K. Yates, 73, of 806 Bright Road, Findlay, died at 4:13 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001 in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center. He was born Nov. 6, 1926 to Clarence F. and Maude A. (Rose) Yates. On Jan. 21, 1950 he married Mary L. Shaull, and she survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Debra Coleman of Tiffin; a sister, Mrs. Mary Kathryn Chamberlain of Rawson, OH.; a granddaughter; and two great grandsons.

Mr. Yates served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He retired from San-A-Pure Dairy and a former employee of the Advertiser Tribune working in the circulation department.

The funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay. Burial will be at Arcadia cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

Alva Julius "Duff" Robbins
Retired millwright

Alva Julius "Duff" Robbins, 62, of Tiffin died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in the St. Francis Home.

Mr. Robbins was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Bucyrus to Alva Clarence and Carmelita Delores (Wurm) Robbins. He married Shirley A. Flagg Oct. 18, 1990, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and she survives.

Other survivors include: his mother of Tiffin; five sons, Rick of Safford, Ariz., Rodney of Bascom, Todd of Great Falls, Mont., James of Post Fall, Idaho, and Brian of Phoenix, Ariz.; four daughters, Jennifer Raudabaugh of Tiffin, Tanya Brandt of Bascom, Dawn Robbins of Montana, and Jane Sanders of Imperial Beach, Calif.; four step-children, Terry Shatzer of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Thomas (Robin) Darr and Kimberly Hottinger of Fremont, and Gena McCowan of Tiffin; 23 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and one great-step-grandchild.

His father is also deceased.

He was a millwright for Cooper Tire of Findlay; attended Kansas United Methodist Church; a member of Moose Lodge #846, Briar Oaks Sporting Clay Association of Bellevue, National Sporting Clay Association, U.S.W.A. Journeyman, and the Allen Eiry Senior Center.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Ivan Schwenn officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Michael C. Williams
American Standard employee

Michael C. Williams, 46, of 11 Indian Lane, died at 5:16 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 11, 1954, in Tiffin to Charles R. and D. JoAnne (Henninger) Williams, Jr. who survive in Tiffin. On Feb. 21, 1987, he married Beth Martin in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and she also survives along with two step-children, Chip and (Crystal) Hossler of Cincinnati and Eric N. and (Kim) Hossler of Killeen, Texas; two step-grandchildren; a brother Ronald L. Williams of Fostoria; and a sister, Mrs. Alonzo (Shirley) Shultz, Jr. also of Fostoria.

He was a 1973 graduate of Bettsville High School; a tow motor operator for American Standard for 16 years; an avid pool player he was a member of the American Pool Player Association and the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association-Seneca County or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Carl K. Luidhardt
Retired Decker employee

Carl K. Luidhardt, 70, of 42 Douglas St., died at 2:48 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, in the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center of Toledo.

Mr. Luidhardt was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Seneca County to Otto and Addie Velma (Brown) Luidhardt. He married Doris L. "Dolly" Nye on Sept. 6, 1953, in Tiffin and she survives.

Also surviving are: three sons, Steven Carl and Gary A. of Tiffin, and Jeffrey L. of Apache Junction, Ariz.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Kathleen Winters and Ruth Boyer of Tiffin, and Miriam Reed of Fostoria.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from Jan. 1951-Dec. 1954; worked 37 years for Deckers Furniture as a carpet installer, delivery man and salesman; a member of the First Lutheran Church, United Commercial Travelers; enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie, playing cards and the outdoors; and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Margaret Marks officiating. Military graveside service will be conducted by the United Veterans Council in the Greenlawn cemetery.

Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

MacKenzie Baylie Smith
One-week old infant

Baby MacKenzie Baylie Smith of 25 Hall St. died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in the St. Vincent Medical Care Center in Toledo where she had been born Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001.

Her mother, Sylvia Smith, survives in Tiffin. Her grandparents, Jason and Geraldine Smith of Tiffin and great-grandmother Delialiah Greenwald of Bucyrus, also survive.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with the Rev. William Smith officiating and burial in Fairmont cemetery.

Visitation is one-half hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Cletus Nolan Feasel
Republic resident

Cletus Nolan Feasel, 73, of Parkwoods Home, Republic, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in the Bellevue Hospital.

He was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Tiffin to Charles Mahlon and Emma (Myers) Feasel. He never married .

Three brothers, Carl, Louis and Glen all of Tiffin, survive.

Also deceased are: three brothers, Charles, LeRoy and Wade; and four sisters, Mrs. John (Marguerite) Lamma, Mrs. Dorsy (Mildred) Chaffee, Mrs. John (Helen L.) Bistner and Mrs. Harold (Dolores) Wilson.

He worked at the School of Opportunity and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with the Rev. Gail Angel officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Barbara A. Yambert
Allied Signal retiree

Barbara A. Yambert, 53, of Wagner Street, Fostoria, died at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.

Mrs. Yambert was born Dec. 17, 1947, in Fostoria to Sherman and Garnita (Roth) Babb. On Jan. 17, 1970, in Fostoria she married David L. Yambert, and he survives in Fostoria along with her mother of Toledo; two daughters, Mrs. Brad (Teresa) Eubank of Risingsun and Mrs. Jim (Denice) Walter Jr. of Fostoria; four grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Babb of Fostoria and Billy Babb of Monterey, Tenn.; and a sister, Mrs. Mark Adam (Brenda) Miller of Dayton.

Her father is deceased.

She was a 1965 graduate of Fostoria High School; retired from Allied Signal in 1993 where she worked in Quality Control; member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Fostoria, Fostoria Community Hospital Auxiliary, Ford Wagon Train Camping Club; a volunteer for American Cancer Society and Fostoria Community Hospital; and a Girl Scout leader of Troop #227 for 10 years.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. James E. Michaels officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, "Relay for Life Fund" or St. John's United Church of Christ.

Blanche M. Daniels
Carey resident

Blanche M. Daniels, 75, of 125 High St., Carey, died at 1:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, in Fox Run Manor, Findlay.

She was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Salyersville, Ky., to Roscoe and Myrtle (Dyer) Roark. She married Eugene T. Pahl on Dec. 18, 1944, and he died Nov. 16, 1956. She then married William L. Daniels July 15, 1961, and he survives.

Also surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. James David (Eugenia) Gibson and Lisa A. Gonzales, both of Carey; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Bonita) Craft of Carey, Hallie Burchett and Edeline Mundy of Shelby.

Also deceased are a brother, Gordon Roark; and two sisters, Catherine Arnett and Ruth Rowe.

She had been a waitress at the former Green's, Rall's and Donelson's restaurants in Carey; also worked at Donelson's Meat Packing in Carey; and was a member of Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, with the Rev. Benjamin Knopp OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will be in Zion Bloom cemetery, Vanlue.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, where Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. and a vigil service at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Northwest Ohio Diabetes Association, c/o of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, OH 43316-1169.

Barbara Forsyth
Photographer/artist

Barbara Forsyth, 79, formerly of Cleveland Heights, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in Elmwood Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 11, 1921, in Clyde to Earl Dean and Clara Louise (Henckel) Forsyth.

She was a 1937 graduate of Clyde High School; attended Otterbein College and Bowling Green State University; and employed by Nationwide Advertising of Cleveland as a photographer/artist.

Survivors include: two sons, Timothy Hacker of Sylvania, and Richard D. Williams of Cleveland Heights; two daughters, Mrs. Brian (Kathy) O'Shaughnessy of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Dennis (Suzanne) Wott of Fremont; a step-daughter, Jane Smullen of Katy, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Suzanne Watson of Winter Park, Fla.

Private family services will be conducted and burial will be in McPherson cemetery.

Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home of Clyde is in charge of arrangements.

MacKenzie Baylie Smith
1-week-old daughter

MacKenzie Baylie Smith, 1 week old infant daughter of Sylvia Smith, 25 Hall St., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where she was born Jan. 11, 2001.

Survivors include: her mother; a 10-year-old brother, Derrick Smith, at home; grandparents, Jason and Geraldine Smith of Tiffin; and great-grandmother, Deliliah Greenwald of Bucyrus.

The Rev. William Smith will be the officiant at the 1:30 p.m. Monday service in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.

Visitation will be one half hour before the service Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Maurice L. 'Mauri' Harry
Retired pharmacist

Maurice L. "Mauri" Harry, 69, of Brookstone Drive, Findlay, died at his residence at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001.

He was born July 31, 1931, in Edgerton, to the late Haven C. and Donelda M. (Myers) Harry. He first married Julia A. Hart in June 1953, and they were divorced. He later married Barbara M. Snyder-Hunt on June 4, 1983, in Fostoria. She survives in Findlay.

Other survivors include: two sons, Bruce W. Harry of Bartlett, Ill., and Dr. Steven S. Harry of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Sally A.) Redrup of Maumee; two step-sons, Allen M. Hunt of Jacksonville, Fla., and Gale D. Hunt of Arcadia; two step-daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Pamela) Elkins of Milton, Fla., and Mrs. Robert (Leann) Nye of Ada; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Harry, a 39-year pharmacist, worked at the Union Prescription Center in Fostoria for 21 years, retiring in 1992.

A member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria, he was a 1949 graduate of Bryan High School and a 1953 graduate of the University of Toledo, with a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. David Bringman officiating. Interment will be in Shiffler cemetery, Bryan.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health Care and Hospice, Findlay.

Evelyn R. 'Specky' Trapp
Homemaker

Evelyn R. "Specky" Trapp, 83, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at her home at 52 Clinton Ave.

She was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Tiffin, to Frank and Loretta (Rohrbach) Speck. Her husband of almost 60 years, Nick W. Trapp Sr., whom she married Feb. 4, 1941, in Tiffin, survives.

Survivors also include: two sons, Jim F. and Lonny J. Trapp, both of Tiffin; three daughters, Mrs. Bryan (Joyce) Reid of Roswell, N.M., Mrs. Gary (Elaine) Mielke of Lady Lake, Fla., and Lerona Wilson of Georgetown, Texas; a brother, George Speck of Troy; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

A son, Nick W. Trapp Jr., and three grandchildren also are deceased.

Mrs. Trapp, a homemaker, was a member of First Lutheran Church.

An avid gardener, she graduated in 1935 from Columbian High School.

The Rev. Margaret M. Marks will conduct the 10 a.m. Tuesday service in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion or Community Hospice Care.
