Freda F. 'Pinkey' Fuleki

Freda F. "Pinkey" Fuleki, 90, of 22 S. Clinton, Bloomville, Ohio, died Saturday Oct. 27, 2001, in the Ruffing Care Center, Bloomville, Ohio.

She was born June 1, 1911, in Bloomville, Ohio, to the late Charles and Lizzie (Barger) Adams. In the late '30s, she married W.O. Smith. He died in 1952. In 1954, she married Dennis Fuleki. He died in 1995.

Survivors include: nephew, Don Earl and Jean Behm of Republic,; niece, Zoe Ann Behm-Brown and Raymond Brown of Lyndhurst; nephew, Dr. Charles and Peg Adams of Vermillion; step son, Jeff Fuleki of Elyria; foster child, Steve Stanek of Crestline; Doris Behm of Attica (wife of deceased nephew, Paul Ervin Behm); Evelyn of Upper Arlington (wife of deceased nephew, Gordon Gene Zack); a step grandson and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were brothers, Earl, Alvin and Gordon Adams and a sister, Florene Behm .

Mrs. Fuleki was employed as a clerk for 25 years at the Bloomville Post Office. She also owned the Fuleki Insurance Agency in Bloomville from 1964-1984.

A 1929 graduate of Bloomville High School, she was an avid golfer. She made her home in Largo, Florida, returning to Bloomville in 1996.

She was a member of Bloomville United Methodist Church, the First Christian Church in Largo, Fla. and past matron of Luella Chapter of O.E.S., Bloomville.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Bloomville, also at a later date.

Visitation will be 4-6 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville. Eastern Star services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Luella Chapter of O.E.S., Bloomville or a charity of the donor's choice.

Freda F. Fuleki

A memorial service for Freda F. (Pinkey) Fuleki, 90, formerly of 22 Clinton St., Bloomville, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bloomville United Methodist Church.

She died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, in the Ruffing Family Care Center, Bloomville.

The Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home of Bloomville is in charge of the arrangements.

Sister M. James Lammers

Sister M. James Lammers, 89 years, of the Sisters of St. Francis, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday Oct. 28, 2001, in St. Francis Convent, Tiffin.

She was born Nov. 22, 1911, in Putnam County, Ohio, to the late Louis and Caroline (Morman) Lammers.

Surviving are two sisters, Martha Huering and Velma Koelsch, both of Toledo, Ohio; and a brother,James Lammers of Fort Worth, Texas.

Two sisters, Kathryn Otey and Helen Deters, also are deceased.

Sister James was received into the Order of St. Francis on March 8, 1932, and professed her first vows on March 8, 1934. Her final vows were professed on March 8, 1937. She was a kitchen and dining room housekeeper in Carey, Payne, Millersville, Willard, Reed, Bucyrus (all in Ohio), Joiet, Illinois, Paducah, Kentucky, before returning to the St. Francis Convent, Tiffin, in 1976. She spent most of her life in housekeeping and food service.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 31, 2001, in St. Francis Convent Chapel, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, with the Rev. Michael Dandurand officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Convent cemetery.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today Oct. 30, at the Convent Chapel. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Lenore Myrtle Cline

Lenore Myrtle Cline, formerly of Tiffin, Ohio, died peacefully on Oct. 30, 2001, at Sumner on Merriman Nursing Home in Akron, Ohio.

Lenore was born on Feb. 11, 1916, to Christopher and Helen Egler in Lakewood, Ohio. She graduated from Lakewood High School and was employed by the Fries and Schueles Department Store until she married Edward B. Cline on Aug. 21, 1937. The Clines moved to Tiffin in 1945, where they lived until Mr. Cline's death in 1999.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie, parents Christopher and Helen Egler and brother Christopher Egler Junior. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Estep and her husband, Dr. Ernest Estep of Akron, Ohio; her son, Bill Cline, and his wife, Paula, of Monroe, Michigan; grandson, Chris Cline and his wife, Ami and great-grandson, Andrew Ernest Cline of Brighton, Michigan.

Lenore lived a life centered around her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Lenore was a person with a happy and gracious heart who was loved by all who knew her. She was a wonderful homemaker and was well known for her fine cooking and baking. Lenore made beautiful quilts and pillows which she generously gave to her family and friends. In later years, she enjoyed her work as a Senior Friend for Seneca County. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star and a 50-year member of the Tiffin Lady Lions. Lenore was a woman of strong Christian faith and a member of First Christian Church in Tiffin, Ohio.

For years she and her husband, Ed, would dress up as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and pass out Lions popcorn balls to children all over Tiffin and visit Mercy Hospital and nursing home patients. For more than 35 years they mailed out Christmas cards with Mr. and Mrs. Claus in humorous situations.

Her last two years were spent at Sumner on Merriman where she found a new circle of loving friends and staff. She enjoyed all the wonderful entertainment and participated in all the parties, luncheons, games and church services. She dearly loved all her new friends and they, in turn, loved her. Her family is forever grateful for the wonderful care she received from the dedicated staff and especially her special loving care giver, Donna Brown.

She will always be missed by her children and friends but she was ready to join Eddie, the love of her life and husband for 62 years.

A private funeral for immediate family members will be held Friday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephanie McLemore officiating, followed by private burial services at Fairmont cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Memorials can be made to the Tiffin Lions Club, Box 812, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, to the First Christian Church, 2016 S. CR 19, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 or to Sumner on Merriman, 209 Merriman Road, Akron, Ohio 44303.

Nora M. Starr

Nora Maude Starr, 100, of Florida and formerly of Clyde, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at the Manor at Blue Water Bay in Niceville, Fla.

She was born May 27, 1901, to the late George W. and Estella M. Lacey. She married LeRoy Trusdle who died in 1923. She later married Alvin Starr in August 1926. He died March 25, 1982.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alton (Nora) Gibson-Butz of Naples, Fla., and Mrs. William (Ethel) Frame of Valparaiso, Fla., three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McPherson cemetery in Clyde followed by burial.

Arrangements are being made by the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde.

Cleveland G. Renninger

Military graveside services for Cleveland Grover Renninger, 82, of SR 231 in Tiffin, who died Oct. 1, 2001, will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn cemetery in Tiffin.

Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Alice L. Thompson

Alice Louise (Crabill) Thompson, 92, native of Green Springs, and long time resident of Tiffin and Sarasota, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, in Knoxville, Tenn.

Her husband, Joseph L. Thompson is deceased.

Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Terry (Patricia L.) Brennan of West St. Paul., Minn., sons, James A. (Sidney) Thompson of Tucson, Ariz., Joseph L. (Elizabeth) Thompson of Knoxville, Tenn., 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at noon on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church- Egbert cemetery.

Edward M. Alfred

Edward M. Alfred, 63, of Upper Arlington, Ohio and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Thursday Nov. 1, 2001, at O.S.U. Medical Center.

He was senior vice president with Commercial National Bank and a deacon of First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol (Kruckeberg) Alfred; children, Kelly (John) Soss, Chicago, Ill.; Chris (Karolina) Eichhorn, Madros, India; Eric Eichhorn, Chicago, Ill.; Jonathan Alfred, Columbus; grandchildren, Hans Friedl, Maxine Soss and Roman Eichhorn; mother, Marie Alfred; brothers, Chuz (Maggie) Alfred and Andrew (Julie) Alfred; sister, Sue (Bob) Shamansky; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, George E. Alfred.

Edward was a 1961 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's of art degree in fine arts. He was a long time member of Rotary International in Dayton/Oakwood and Wadsworth, Ohio; active in Leadership Medina and a trustee with Medina County Development Corporation. He also was an avid wood carver, golfer and fisherman and talented sculptor and painter.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday Nov. 5, 2001, at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, where family will receive friends immediately following the service in Brownlee Hall. The Rev. Jacquie McMillen will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis-Western Ohio Chapter, 1810 Mackenzie Drive, Suite 120, Columbus, Ohio 43220, in his memory.

Arrangements are by the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio.

Geria S. Brock

Geria Shavon Brock, formerly of Tiffin, entered eternal life Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in Whitesburg, Ky. She was 20 years, 9 months and 1 day of age at the time of her passing.

She was born Jan. 24, 1981, in Letcher County, Ky. to Bill and Carol Sue Brock Cole.

She is survived by: her father, Bill Brock and stepmother, Donna of Jeremiah, Ky., her mother, Carol Sue and stepfather Wayne Cole of Sergent, Ky., two sisters, Katherine Brock of Sergent, Ky. and Ciarra Brock of Jeremiah, Ky., maternal grandparents, Bobby and Katherine Brock of Deane, Ky., paternal grandfather, James Brock of Mayking, Ky., and paternal grandmother, Froney McPeeks of Jenkins, Ky. Linda "Nin" Taulbee from Tiffin was her aunt.

Geria's bright smile will forever be a comfort when we think of her. It will be missed, but always remembered.

Services took place on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at the House of Prayer in Deane, Ky. Burial was in Green Acres cemetery in Ermine, Ky.

The Everidge Funeral Home in Whitesburg, Ky. was in charge of arrangements.

Alice V. Nye

Alice V. Nye, 72, of 3386 S. U.S. SR 23, Alvada, Ohio, died Friday Nov. 2, 2001, at her home.

She was born March 22, 1929, in New Riegel, Ohio, to the late Alfonse and Catherine (Reinhart) Schalk. On April 22, 1950, in St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, Ohio, she married Delbert J. Nye, who survives.

Other survivors include: children, Leonard C. Nye of Tiffin, Ohio; Mrs. Gregory (Janice Nye) Russell of Fostoria, Ohio; Mrs. Matthew (Patricia Nye) Theis of Findlay, Ohio; Edward D. Nye of Carey, Ohio; Gary M. and Karen Nye and Jayme A. and Diane Nye, both of New Riegel, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Wurm, Mrs. William (Gervase) Craig and Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Smith, all of Tiffin; Irene Elchert and Marie Scherger, both of New Riegel; brothers, George Schalk of Wisconsin, Simon Schalk of Carey, Ohio; Florus Schalk of Tiffin, Ohio; Raymond Schalk of Findlay, Ohio and Arthur Schalk of New Riegel, Ohio.

A brother, Bruno, also is deceased.

Mrs. Nye, a homemaker, was a 1947 New Riegel High School graduate. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Alvada, Ohio and the Rosary-Altar Society.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday Nov. 5, in St. Peter Church with the Rev. Harry Cavanaugh officiating. The rosary will be recited at the church at 10:15 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in St. Peter cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Sunday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Paul A. Rohrbaugh, Jr.

Paul A. Rohrbaugh, Jr., 67, of 116 S. Main St., Attica, died early Friday morning, Nov. 2, 2001, at Louis Stokes Veterans Hospital in Cleveland.

He was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Willard to Paul and Alice (Eckstein) Rohrbaugh.

He is survived by his wife Martha N. (Nedolast) Rohrbaugh; two stepsons, Robert Thomas and James Thomas of Bucyrus; two step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Younger of Winterhaven, Fla., and Mary Caskey of Shelby.

He was a veteran of U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, Willard.

Frances M. Lambright

Frances M. Lambright, 76, of Morganfield, Ky., died at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in the Methodist Hospital in Henderson, Ky.

She was born Sept. 6, 1925, in Findlay to William and Cleo (Stein) Hunt. She married Carl M. Lambright in Fostoria on Jan. 17, 1948; and he died July 9, 1991.

Survivors include: a daughter, Sandra Witten of Morganfield, Ky.; two sisters, Virginia Mathews of Tiffin, and Rosalie Haneberg of Fostoria; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Her parents are deceased.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria with burial in Knollcrest Gardens near Arcadia.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Donna M. Moellman

Donna M. Moellman, 74, of 1455 CR 65, Fremont, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in Bellevue Hospital.

She was born July 6, 1927, in Tiffin to Carl and Marie (King) Bish. She married Warren Moellman on Jan. 17, 1948, in Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont. He survives along with: three daughters, Kristine Ernberger of Fremont, Evelyn Kennedy of North Carolina, and Shelly Bender of Burgoon; four grandchildren; a brother, Paul Bish of Washington; three half brothers, Eugene Bish of Florida, Charles and Lester Bish of Tiffin; a sister, Mary Evelyn Holtz of Tiffin; and three half sisters, Marilyn Wherling and Janet Robenault of Tiffin, and Barbara Leirer of Florida.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, Fremont, with burial in Greenlawn Memory Gardens at Clyde.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Rev. J.B. Green

The Rev. J.B. Green, 82, of Arab, Ala., and formerly of 130 N. Buckeye St., Bellevue, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in Marshall Medical Center N. in Arab, Ala. He was born July 13, 1919, in Jenkins, Ala., to Thomas and Callie (Swaford) Green.

His wife, Eissie V. Green, died in 1997.

Survivors include: two sons, Danny of Sandusky, and Roger of Republic; three daughters, Debbie Hunt and Joan Montgomery of Bellevue, and Patsy Peel of Bradenton, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene of Ohio; and two sisters, Willimae Norwood and Dessie Eaton both of Alabama.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Foos and Son Funeral Homes, Bellevue, with burial in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Paul J. Poorman

Paul "Pete" J. Poorman, 72, of 1946 E. State St., Fremont, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at his home.

He was born Nov. 17, 1928, in Fremont to Joseph V. and Anna Marie (Gabel) Poorman. He married Gloria R. Kerner Nov. 22, 1956, in St. Paul Church, Norwalk, and she survives in Fremont. Other survivors include: two sons, Tom of Howell, Mich., and Joe of Fremont; two daughters, Mary Mayle and Kate Rush of Fremont; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Carl of Fremont, and Edgar "Ike" of Naples, Fla.; and a sister, Ruth Molyet of Tiffin.

Mr. Poorman served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Sacred Heart Church, Fremont, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a Wake service at 8:30 p.m.
