S. Renee Augustine

A memorial service for S. Renee (Goodwin) Augustine will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Church of Christ. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.

Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lillian K. Jordan

Lillian Kathryn Jordan, 84, of 2320 W. Seneca CR 6 died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, in Ruffing Family Care Center of Tiffin.

She was born April 17, 1917, in Seneca County, to the late Harry and Anna (Wetzel) Rex. She married Carl R. Jordan Sr. in St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin. He died on Feb. 21, 1990.

Survivors include: two sons, Carl R. Jordan Jr. of Tiffin and Walter Jordan of Fredericktown; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Leslie) Leonard of Tiffin; a sister, Leona Agerter; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary Church in Tiffin.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Paul R. Kuhn

Paul R. Kuhn, 89, 527 N. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, died Thursday Nov. 15, 2001, in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

He was born Nov. 24, 1911, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Edward and Bessie (Messer) Kuhn. His step father, John Wagner, also is deceased. His wife, Clara N. (Herig) Kuhn, whom he married Sept. 24, 1938, in St. Joseph Personage, Tiffin, Ohio, survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Dull of Tiffin, Ohio; grandchildren: Stephen, Brian and Chris Dull, Roger and Lisa Young and Cheryl Desjardins, all of Tiffin; and six great-grandchildren.

A sister, Bernice Schetter; and two half brothers, John and Carl, also are deceased.

Mr. Kuhn was employed as a machinist for 17 years at the General Electric, retiring in 1975. A U.S. Navy Seabees veteran, he served in Pearl Harbor during World War II.

A funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 17, in St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Frank A. Murd officiating. The rosary will be recited at the church at 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care, St. Mary Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Eileen M. Henry

Eileen M. Henry, 84, of 440 W. Perry St., Bucyrus, Ohio, died Wednesday evening Nov. 14, 2001, at the home of her daughter in Bucyrus. She had been in failing health for the past two years.

She was born Nov. 12, 1917, in Wyandot County, Ohio, to the late Homer and Winona (Larick) Markley. On June 25, 1939, she married Carl J. Henry, who preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1986.

Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Hudson Stroud and husband, Larry of Pemberville, Ohio and Jeanne Garrett and husband Byron of Bucyrus; four grandchildren, Mrs. Glenn (Kimberly) Orwig of Tiffin, Angela Hudson of Jupiter, Fla., Kenneth Garrett (Dodie) of Gahanna, Ohio and Kelly J. Garrett of Bucyrus; a great-grandchild, Chloe Nicole Garrett; a brother, Daryl Markley and wife Ada of Bucyrus; two sisters, Vera Stillings of Bucyrus and June Bowen and husband Don of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Donna Markley Harbaugh and Norma Markley; and a very special friend Wilbur "Bill" Grau of Bucyrus.

Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Robert, Lee, Ralph and Donald Markley; and a sister, Virginia Aurand.

A lifelong Bucyrus area resident, Mrs. Henry and her husband Carl, owned and operated Henry's Studio for 47 years in Bucyrus.

A 1935 graduate of Nevada High School, she was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She also had been a Gray Lady Volunteer for many years and enjoyed gardening.

The Rev. Sue Chidley will be the officiate at the 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 17 service in the Wise Funeral Home, Bucyrus. Burial will be in Nevada cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to HomeCare Matters and Hospice or Epworth United Methodist Church.

Opal Ellen Roof

Opal Ellen Roof, 79, died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 14, 2001, in Fairhaven Community Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky, where she resided.

She was born Oct. 19, 1922, in Findlay, to the late Harvey and Hazel (Cloud) Trackler. Her step father, Ardie Morgan, also is deceased. She married Leonard Marcas Roof on Nov. 27, 1941. He died Oct. 11, 2000.

Surviving are: a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Joyce Roof of rural Dunkirk; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary Anne) Creamer of Marion and a son, Brad Roof of Conover, Ohio; four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.

A step sister, Doris Sackman; and a brother, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Roof, who was affiliated with the protestant faith, was a member of the Tri-County Blind Society of Findlay. She had a natural born talent for writing poetry.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 17, in The Beach Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Kathy Wirth officiating. Burial will be in Hueston cemetery, Forest, Ohio.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Fairhaven Community, Tri-County Blind Society or Wyandot Humane Society.

Robert F. McKinnon

Robert F. McKinnon, 77, of 502 W. Church St., Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday Nov. 15, 2001, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 7, 1924, in Carey, Ohio, to the late Ira F. and Anna M. (Derr) McKinnon. On Feb. 19, 1949, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, Ohio, he married Dorothy C. Reiter, who survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Roger McKinnon of Findlay, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Carol) McConnell of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Stephen (Patricia) Gamby of Mt. Victory, Ohio and Julie M. McKinnon of Toledo, Ohio; eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a step great-grandchild; a sister, Sister Roberta McKinnon of St. Francis Convent, Tiffin, Ohio; and a brother, Aidan James McKinnon of Fostoria, Ohio.

Also preceding him in death were a son, Richard; a sister, Oread Haferd and brothers, Richard, Howard and Gordon McKinnon.

Mr. McKinnon was employed by Snyder Lumber Co. in Carey, Ohio for 22 years as a finish carpenter and cabinet maker. He retired from the family farm in 1999.

He had attended Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, Ohio, but presently had attended St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was a member of American Legion Post 354-New Riegel, Ohio and American Disabled Veterans. A World War II U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran, he served as a staff sergeant in Northern Africa 1943-45. He enjoyed woodworking, camping with the family, playing cards and listening to classical music. He graduated from Carey High School in 1947.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday Nov. 19, in St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. James Holmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic cemetery, Upper Sandusky, where New Riegel American Legion Post 354 will conduct military graveside rites..

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday Nov. 18 at the Bringman Clark and Company Funeral Home, where a Biblical wake service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County, Wyandot Memorial Hospital or St. Peter Catholic Church, in care of Bringman Clark and Co. Funeral Home, P.O. Box 246, Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.

Bertha (Bea) F. Barth

Bertha (Bea) F. Barth, 88, of 107 Evergreen Lane, Upper Sandusky, died at 3:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001. She was born June 1, 1913 to Clarence and Amelia (Martel) Reinhard. On April 10, 1948 she married Harry F. Barth in St. John's United Church of Christ in Fostoria. He died May 8, 1987.

Surviving include: two sons, Jesse E. and Howard F. Barth, both of Upper Sandusky; a brother, Harold Reinhard of Fostoria; three sisters, Martha Phillips of Fostoria, Joyce Knight of Fremont and Roma Sauber of Tiffin; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Deceased is a son Frederick E. Barth.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home. Burial will be at Old Mission cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitation hours are from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday.

Clifford D. Crawford

Clifford D. Crawford, 79, of Kansas, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center. He was born March 18, 1922 to Otho and Nita (Lee) Crawford. He married Etta E. Donaldson. They were divorced.

Surviving include: three sons, Richard Crawford of Amsden, Ivan Crawford of Kansas and Garry Crawford of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Thompson of Findlay; a brother, Richard Crawford of Riverside, CA.; three sisters, Alice Mae Bloom of New Philadelphia, Betty Klinger of Livingston, MN., and Esther Hartman of Wayne; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mr. Crawford was a WW II U.S. Army Veteran.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be at Weaver cemetery near Bloomdale.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

David E. Wenzinger

David E. Wenzinger, 57, of Carey died at 6:27 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, in the Emergency Room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.

He was born Dec. 26, 1943, in Wyandot County to Richard J. and Audrey (Hendricks) Wenzinger. He is deceased and she survives. He married Sue Rhoades on July 28, 1962, in Carey and she survives.

Survivors also include: a stepfather, Ralph Karcher of Carey; a son, David D. Wenzinger of Carey; a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Gail L.) Warfel of Upper Sandusky; three brothers, John, Tom and Earl Wenzinger, all of Carey; two sisters, Mrs. Dick (Rosemary "Nip") Dahms of Fremont and Chris Rader of Carey; and three grandchildren.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey. Burial will follow in Spring Grove cemetery.

Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Kyle G. Ryman

Kyle G. Ryman, 21, of 474 E. TR 152, Tiffin, died at 9:02 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, in Lucas County, Toledo, Ohio.

He was born June 27, 1980, in Fremont to Kevin H. and Debra (Shireman) Ryman of 474 E. TR 152, Tiffin.

Survivors also include: a brother, Brian Ryman of Tiffin and grandparents Harold Ryman of Tiffin, Donna Ryman of Old Fort and Kathleen Shireman of Old Fort.

A grandfather, Calvin Shireman, preceded him in death.

Mr. Ryman was a graduate of the Old Fort Class of 1998 and was a student at Tiffin University, majoring in Business Administration. He was also a member of the Tiffin University Golf Team.

He was a member of Ft. Seneca Community United Church of Christ.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ft. Seneca Community United Church of Christ with the Rev. Barry Bordenkercher officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Turner-Engle Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Ft. Seneca Community United Church of Christ or Tiffin University Golf Team.

Thomas J. Barlo, Ph.D.

Visitation for Dr. Thomas Joseph Barlo, 58, will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Holy Family Parish in Inverness. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.

Born March 15, 1943, in South Chicago, he died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, while visiting in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Barlo completed his undergraduate, master's and doctoral studies at Purdue University. He served as a senior research scientist for CC Technologies in Dublin, Ohio. A nationally and internationally recognized expert in the fields of cathodic protection and stress corrosion cracking of buried pipelines, he authored hundreds of technical reports and publications.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cynthia (nee Krupp); children, Kristin, Kathleen, Karen, Thomas Jr. and Kimberly; brothers, Joseph II (Barbara) of Hoffman Estates and Edward (Lynn) of Whiting, Ind.; Mrs. Barlo's parents, Helen Krupp and Paul Krupp of Tiffin; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Joseph I.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barlo Children Education Fund, Harris Bank, 50 N. Brockway, Palatine, IL 60067, Attn.: Anthony Hidoo.

Stanley D. Goodman

Stanley D. Goodman, 67, of 504 W. Guthrie St., Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Sycamore, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born Dec. 21, 1933, in Wyandot County to Arthur Goodman and Catherine (Mooney) Goodman Gregg. He is deceased and she survives in rural Sycamore. He married Marilyn L. Rakel on Oct. 9, 1954. She died Sept. 22, 1994. He later married Miriam (Corfman) Koehler on April 8, 1996, and she survives.

Survivors also include: a son, Mark J. Goodman of Vanlue, Ohio; a stepson, Dan R. Koehler of Upper Sandusky; four grandchildren, Chad J. Goodman of Upper Sandusky, Miss Kisha J. Goodman of Vanlue, Adam Koehler and Andrea Koehler, both of Upper Sandusky; two brothers, Merle and Larry Goodman, both of Sycamore; and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Donna) Williams of Lexington, Ohio, and Mrs. Michael (Linda) Buckley of Nevada, Ohio.

A sister, Mrs. Carolyn Hornak, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Goodman worked at Quality Farm and Fleet in Marion for the past five years. He farmed and owned Goodman Livestock Supply in Sycamore.

He was a former Wyandot County 4-H adviser, a former member of K of P Lodge in Sycamore; and a former board member of the Crawford Landmark in Bucyrus.

He was a 1951 graduate of Nevada High School and attended Trinity Evangelical UMC in Upper Sandusky. He loved to hunt, fish, bowl and travel.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore. Pastor Derik Hines will be the officiant. Burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery in Sycamore.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to: the Trinity Evangelical UMC; the Wyandot County 4-H Endowment Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.

Norman F. Phillips

Norman F. Phillips, 77, of Fostoria, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Independence House in Fostoria. Arrangements are pending at Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria.

Marsha France

Marsha France, wife of former Tiffin resident, James T. France, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada following a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 8, 1943, to Dr. and Mrs. William Ayres.

Survivors include: her husband, James; a son, Lt. Derek France of Nellis Air Force Base; a daughter Renee France of Portland, Ore; and two grand-daughters.

Services will take place Saturday at Christ the King in Las Vegas.

Robert L. Lescallett

Robert L. Lescallett, 75, of Tampa, Fla. died Nov. 15, 2001, at his home. He was born Oct. 11, 1925.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Lescallett; a son, Joe Lescallette; a daughter, Diana Lescallette and two sisters, Mrs. Calvin (Betty) Overmyer of Tiffin and Eileen Borough of Miss.

There will be no services.
