Edwin Daniel Deinzer

Edwin Daniel Deinzer, 73, 42 South Tecumseh Trail, Tiffin, Ohio, died Saturday Nov. 24, 2001, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.

He was born April 6, 1928, in Seneca County, Ohio, to the late Raymond Edward and Norrine (Heabler) Deinzer.

Surviving are a sister, Beverly Imhoff of Rittman, Ohio; three nieces, Catherine Imhoff of Laurel, Md., Mrs. Rick (Jennifer) Hooper of Kingston, Tenn. and Mrs. Kenneth (Cindy) Mann of Rittman, Ohio; an aunt, Margaret "Peg" Lenz of Tiffin, Ohio; and several cousins.

A brother, Dale, also is deceased.

Mr. Deinzer retired after 33 years at the General Electric Company, where he worked 27 years as production supervisor.

He was a life member of Izaak Walton League of American, serving the Local Chapter as membership secretary and corresponding secretary. He also was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association).

A U.S. Army veteran, having served two years, he attended St. John United Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 28, in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Culp officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Garden, with Military graveside services conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Izaak Walton League or a charity of the donor's choice.

Margery J. Doncyson

Margery J. Doncyson, 85 years old, 396 TR 1179, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 6:55 p.m. Saturday Nov. 24, 2001, in Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, Ohio.

She was born Aug. 18, 1916, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Clarence L. and Anna (Flechtner) Riehm. Her husband, Myron K. Doncyson, whom she married Sept. 2, 1936, in Tiffin, Ohio, survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter-in-law, Marcia Doncyson of Tiffin, Ohio; four grandchildren, Todd Doncyson of Lewis Center, Ohio, Mrs. Michael (Shelly) Rex of Athens, Ohio, Mrs. Robert (Anna) Busby of Redding, Calif. and Stephen Doncyson of Fort Carson, CO; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Rex, Cory Rex and Derek Doncyson.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, Stephen T. Doncyson and Michael K. Doncyson; a daughter-in-law, Sandra (Blust) Doncyson; three sisters, Mary Lou Raymond, Katherine Leahy and Hermina Frankart and a brother Richard Riehm.

A homemaker, Mrs. Doncyson was a 1934 Columbian High School graduate.

Private graveside services will be today, Nov. 26, 2001, in Fairmont cemetery.

Richard C. Ward

Richard C. Ward, 75, formerly of 301 E. Seventh St., Sycamore, Ohio, died at 3:55 a.m. Sunday Nov. 25, 2001, in the Ruffing Family Care Center, Tiffin, where he had resided since August 1999.

He was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Charles A. and Jane I. (Askam) Ward. His wife, Jane M. (Clifford) Ward, whom he married Jan. 4, 1952, in Tiffin, Ohio, is deceased.

Survivors include: two sons, Michael Ward of rural Tiffin, Ohio and Charles Ward of Wilmington, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Jody) Gamber of Rushsylvania, Ohio and Mrs. Stephanie E. Scott of Hamilton, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Ward had no brothers or sisters.

A 1941 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, Mr. Ward retired as a broker and from the Tiffin Police Department.

He was a member of the Baptist Church, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Lions Club, Tiffin Moose and Kiwanis Club.

He served in the Army during World II and the Korean Conflict. In World War II he fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. As a master sergeant in Korea, he was awarded a Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

There will be no funeral service. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, with the date and time to be announced. The United Veterans Council will hold military services at a date and time to be determined.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to United Veterans Council.

Paul A. Frey

Paul A. Frey, 73, of 13426 CH 95, Upper Sandusky, died at 7:35 p.m. Saturday Nov. 24, 2001, in the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.

Arrangements are pending at the Bringman Clark and Company Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky.

Candy L. Yates

Candy L. Yates, 48, of East Buckeye Street, Clyde, died Saturday Nov. 24, 2001, in the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo.

She was born July 31, 1953, in Sandusky, to the late Richard James and Dorothy (Perrin) James Detamore, who survives in Buchanan, W.Va. Her husband, Terry Yates, whom she married Dec. 20, 1975, also survives.

Other survivors include: A son, Jeremy Michael Yates of Clyde; two sisters, Terri James of Sandusky and Mrs. Rodney (Diana Sue) Karr of Put-In-Bay; two brothers, Rick James of Tiffin and Larry James of Castalia; a half-sister, Regina James of Indiana; and two grandchildren.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Charlene M. McClung

Charlene M. McClung, 63, of North Union Street, Fostoria, died at 1:25 a.m. Sunday Nov. 25, 2001, in the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo.

She was born May 3, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Henry and Helen M. (Gardner) Meyers. On Jan. 5, 1957, in Chicago, Ill., she married Ralph G. McClung Sr., who survives.

Survivors also include: two sons, Ralph G. Jr. and Christopher L. McClung, both of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Jess (Charlene) Opperman of Columbus and Mrs. David (Donna) Buchholtz of Fostoria; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sister Ann Therese Hoover, OSU

Sister Ann Theresa (Eleanor) Hoover, 93, a member of Ursuline Community for 68 years, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at the Ursuline Center, Toledo.

Surviving are a stepsister, Mamie Rossow of Bloomville, and nieces and nephews in Tiffin.

The funeral liturgy will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Ursuline Center Chapel. Internment will be in Resurrection cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Visitation will be after 2:30 p.m. today at the Ursuline Center, 4035 Indian Road, Toledo, where a vigil service will be in the chapel at 7 p.m. today.

The Coyle Funeral Home, Reynolds Road, Toledo, is in charge of arrangements.

Mervin Z. Graham

Mervin Z. Graham, 84, of 603 Caribe Blvd., Fort Wayne, Ind., died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, in the Lutheran Home.

He was born June 6, 1917, in Bloomville, to the late William C. and Merdtie (Mauck) Graham. He first married Edna L. Kellermeier. She is deceased.

Survivors include: his second wife, Thelma I. (Court) Graham of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Carolyn S. Graham of Fort Wayne; a brother, William C. Graham Jr. of New Martinsville, W.Va.; a sister, Kathryn Escher of Tiffin; three stepsons, Max Winebrenner of Florida, Rex Winebrenner of Fort Wayne and Len Winebrenner of Hoagland, Ind.; and two step-grandchildren.

Mr. Graham was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Lindenwood cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Kathryn Ann Caudill

Kathryn Ann Caudill, 63, of 13640 CR 24, Arlington, died at her residence early Monday morning, Nov. 26, 2001.

She was born Aug. 4, 1938, in Salyersville, Ky., to Frank and Nettie (Frazier) Smith. Her mother survives in Carey. On June 26, 1954, in Carey, she married Leroy "Shorty" Caudill, who survives.

Other survivors include: children, Kevin E. Caudill of Fostoria, Kim L. Caudill of Findlay, Mrs. William (Kathy E.) Feasel and Kristina A. Arend, both of Mt. Blanchard, Kenneth A. Caudill of Upper Sandusky and Keith A. Caudill of Carey; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Otto Smith of Findlay, Franklin Smith of Sycamore, Jessie and Jim Smith, both of Findlay, Lois Will of Carey and Phyllis Poole of Toledo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery, Carey.

Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home.

Evelyn Marie Watson

Memorial services were held Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Miller Mies Mortuary Chapel for Evelyn Marie Watson, a longtime Downey resident who died at her home Nov. 6, 2001.

She was born in Los Angeles Dec. 15, 1944.

She graduated from Columbian High School in 1963 and attended Tiffin University before moving to California.

From 1972-1983, she was a customer service representatives for Pacific Press Inc., and later worked as an executive secretary for Jeffries Bank Note Co. She then worked as secretary for the family business, Lifetime Motor Express, as well as performing various other tasks.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Watson; her mother, Marguerite Hedden; a sister, Mary Pierce; sister-in-law Judy Suter; stepsons Gary, Scott and Ken; grandchildren Tommy and Peyton; aunts Edna Gray and Mary Warmuth and uncles John and Harry Baker.

Pastor Michael Peligrino officiated. Burial was private.

Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.

James W. Kramer

Memorial services for James Wesley Kramer, 86, of 12 Pennsylvania Road, Vermilion, Ohio, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday Nov. 30, 2001, in the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Ohio at Grand Street, Vermilion, where the family will receive friends after 10 a.m. Interment will be private. He died Monday Nov. 26, 2001, in Marymount Hospital, Garfield Heights.

He was born In Kenosha, Wis., lived 20 years in the city of Vermilion and 50 years before that in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio.

James W. Kramer is the beloved husband of Evelyn (Koester), his wife of over 60 years; dear father of Jack Kramer of Tiffin, Claudia Springer (Jeffrey) of Miami, Fla. and Janet Peer (Craig) of Brooklyn Heights; uncle of Marjorie Huiner, Gale Kramer and Cheryl Hanson; grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of seven. He also was the brother of the late William and Fred

Mr. Kramer spent over 30 years on the board of directors of the Cleveland Growers Marketing Company, watching the business grow from a cooperative marketing effort organized by Cleveland area farmers to a major produce and food wholesaling operation. He worked with the Ohio State Cooperative Extension Service in its efforts to serve the greenhouse business in Cuyahoga County, reporting on the results of seed developed especially for greenhouse use and on the efficiency of tomato plants grown in areas where CO2 production had been enhanced. This interest in the scientific basis of farming started in his high school years at West Technical High School and led to his participation as a 4-H club advisor in Cuyahoga County.

As a councilman of the Village of Brooklyn Heights for 16 years, he represented the municipality on the early regional planning boards responsible for directing and organizing urban growth patterns in the greater Cleveland area. Before Brooklyn Heights existed, he served as constable, a forerunner to today's policeman, for the area known as Brooklyn Village. He later served as captain of the Brooklyn Heights volunteer fire brigade and frequently responded to calls as driver for the village ambulance.

Mr. Kramer retired in 1980 from the greenhouse business he ran with his twin brother, Frederick Kramer, and moved with his wife, Evelyn to Heidelberg Beach near Vermilion where they have maintained a vacation home since the 1960's. In his later years, Mr. Kramer served in various capacities, including president on the board of the Heidelberg Beach Association and maintained the Vermilion rose garden for several years.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to contribute to the Alzheimer's Association.

Emma M. Wagner

Emma M. Wagner, 80, of Westhaven Drive in Fostoria died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Toledo to the late Fred and Charlotta (Peter) Ostrowsky. She married Ralph A. Wagner Sr. on Jan. 16, 1942, in Napoleon, and he survives in Fostoria.

Survivors also include: five sons, Ralph A. Wagner Jr., of Fostoria, Edward A. Wagner of Findlay, Thomas A. and Craig A. Wagner, both of Columbus, and Gary A. Wagner of Tampa, Fla., and a brother, Donald Ostrowsky of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Private services will take place at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria with the Rev. Larry Knigga officiating. Burial will be in Fountain cemetery in Fostoria.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Edith Fay Pullom

Edith Fay Pullom, 87, of Fostoria died at 6:21 p.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria where she resided.

Arrangements are pending at Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria.

Norma E. Neuman

Norma E. Neuman, 87, of Fostoria died at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Independence House in Fostoria.

She was born July 13, 1914, in Milan to the late Louis and Louise (Horn) Behrens. She married W. Earl Neuman in Monroeville on June 26, 1937. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1999.

Survivors include: three sons, Richard A. Neuman of McComb, Ronald E. Neuman of Nashville, Ind., and Rick J. Neuman of Fostoria; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Fostoria. Interment will be in Maple Grove cemetery in Findlay.

Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.

Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria is in charge of arrangements.

Lenore Myrtle Cline

Lenore Myrtle Cline, formerly of Tiffin, Ohio, died peacefully on Oct. 30, 2001, at Sumner on Merriman Nursing Home in Akron, Ohio.

Lenore was born on Feb. 11, 1916, to Christopher and Helen Egler in Lakewood, Ohio. She graduated from Lakewood High School and was employed by the Fries and Schueles Department Store until she married Edward B. Cline on Aug. 21, 1937. The Clines moved to Tiffin in 1945, where they lived until Mr. Cline's death in 1999.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie, parents Christopher and Helen Egler and brother Christopher Egler Junior. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Estep and her husband, Dr. Ernest Estep of Akron, Ohio; her son, Bill Cline, and his wife, Paula, of Monroe, Michigan; grandson, Chris Cline and his wife, Ami and great-grandson, Andrew Ernest Cline of Brighton, Michigan.

Lenore lived a life centered around her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Lenore was a person with a happy and gracious heart who was loved by all who knew her. She was a wonderful homemaker and was well known for her fine cooking and baking. Lenore made beautiful quilts and pillows which she generously gave to her family and friends. In later years, she enjoyed her work as a Senior Friend for Seneca County. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star and a 50-year member of the Tiffin Lady Lions. Lenore was a woman of strong Christian faith and a member of First Christian Church in Tiffin, Ohio.

For years she and her husband, Ed, would dress up as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and pass out Lions popcorn balls to children all over Tiffin and visit Mercy Hospital and nursing home patients. For more than 35 years they mailed out Christmas cards with Mr. and Mrs. Claus in humorous situations.

Her last two years were spent at Sumner on Merriman where she found a new circle of loving friends and staff. She enjoyed all the wonderful entertainment and participated in all the parties, luncheons, games and church services. She dearly loved all her new friends and they, in turn, loved her. Her family is forever grateful for the wonderful care she received from the dedicated staff and especially her special loving care giver, Donna Brown.

She will always be missed by her children and friends but she was ready to join Eddie, the love of her life and husband for 62 years.

A private funeral for immediate family members will be held Friday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephanie McLemore officiating, followed by private burial services at Fairmont cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Memorials can be made to the Tiffin Lions Club, Box 812, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, to the First Christian Church, 2016 S. CR 19, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 or to Sumner on Merriman, 209 Merriman Road, Akron, Ohio 44303.
