Olive O. Wagner

Olive O. Wagner, 100, of Bellevue, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Ruffing Family Care Center in Bloomville.

She was born Aug. 13, 1901, to William and Emma (Behers) Wagner. She married George A. Wagner on May 29, 1933, in Hollidaysburg, Pa. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son, Walter A. Wagner of Bellevue; a daughter, Nellie Mae Perkins of Bloomville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19 in Bloomville. Burial will be in Block cemetery in Republic.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Alice L. Burkart

Alice L. Burkart, 67, 55 Lindsay Ave., Tiffin, Ohio, died Monday Dec. 3, 2001, in the Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Anthony and Adelena (Ricci) Ruggiero. Her husband, Alfred E. Burkart, whom she married May 2, 1953, in St. Mary Church, Tiffin, Ohio, survives.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Dan (Cynthia) Cook of Washington Court House, Ohio, Ms. Jane Burkart of Atlanta, Ga. and Mrs. Peter (Susan) Wade of Pine Mountain, Ga.; a son, Steven Burkart of New York, N.Y.; seven sisters, Mrs. Salvatore (Mollie) Aiello, Mrs Joseph (Maggie) Aiello, Mrs. Carmen (Grace) Mangiola, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Shimer, Mrs. David (Pat) Klopp, Mrs. Eugene (Lucille) McClellan, all of Tiffin, Ohio and Mrs. Leona (Liz) Porter of St. George, Utah; three brothers, Daniel, Anthony Jr. and Frank Ruggiero, all of Tiffin, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

A sister, Mrs. Paul (Anna) Kiesel; and a brother, Bartholomew J. Ruggiero, also are deceased.

A Calvert High School graduate, Mrs. Burkart was a homemaker. She also was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and served as past president of the following: Altar Rosary Society, Calvert Lady Boosters and the Junior Women League.

The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, St. Mary Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Wanda Marie Fisher

Wanda Marie Fisher, 90, formerly of 124 W. Davis St., Tiffin, Ohio, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 5, 2001, in St. Catherine's Care Center of Findlay, where she had been a resident since Oct. 30, 2001.

She was born Dec. 17, 1910, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Wallace and Minnie (Rahl) Eastman. On Feb. 16, 1935, in Tiffin, Ohio, she married Harold H. Fisher. He died in 1983.

Survivors include: two nieces, Jean Flom of Florida and Jean Angus of Tiffin, Ohio,; and a sister, Mrs. Jack (Mae) McPhail of Dearfield Beach, Fla.

A brother, Lester Eastman, also is deceased.

A Columbian High School graduate, Mrs. Fisher had been employed at the US Glass Factory and retired from Lasalle's in Tiffin. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She had lived all her life in Tiffin.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 7, 2001, in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday at Turner-Engle Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church or the donor's choice.

Sister Flora Therese Keller

Sister Flora Therese Keller, OSU, 92, formerly of the Ursulines from St. Joseph Parish in Tiffin, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001.

Survivors include a brother, Jerome of Tiffin and two sisters, Mary Floyd of Tiffin and Madelyn Miller of Norwalk.

A liturgy will take place at 11 a.m. Friday in the Ursuline Center, 4035 Indian Road in Toledo. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph cemetery in Tiffin.

Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. today in the Ursuline Center in Toledo. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. tonight in the Center.

Arrangements are under the care of Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, Toledo.

William P. Hunt

William P. Hunt, 73, of Fostoria, died at 3:43 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Toledo Hospital.

He was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Cottageville, W. Va., to the late William H. and Velma (Nutt) Hunt. He married Betty J. Sayre Feb. 2, 1952, in Cottageville, W. Va. She died May 22, 2001.

Survivors include: a son, Mickey Hunt of Fostoria; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Vicki) West of Chesterfield, Ind., Mrs. Richard (Paula) Reinhart, and Heather Hunt, both of Fostoria; two brothers, Robert Hunt of Titusville, Fla., and Curtis Hunt of Letart, W. Va., a sister, Mrs. Gary (Lois) Hoffman of Letart, W. Va., seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens near Arcadia.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Harold W. Tyree

Harold Wayne Tyree, 71, of 1072 E. CR 38, Tiffin, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 8, 1930, in Whitesburg, Ky., to Alex and Mattie (Ison) Tyree. He married Glenna Hickman, his wife of 46 years, on July 20, 1955, in California, Ky., and she survives.

He is also survived by: four sons, Michael W. (Martha), Mark W. (Connie), Marty R. (Ta-ah) and Mitch R. (Kolenia) of Tiffin; and a daughter, Linda E. (Darrin) Holman of Fostoria. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters.

Deceased include his parents, a granddaughter, four brothers and a sister.

Mr. Tyree retired Jan. 1, 1987, as a machinist from Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky, and also worked part-time at Hanson Clutch in Tiffin.

He was a member of Tiffin Freewill Baptist Church, UAW Local 1216 of Ford Motor Co., Union Grange #1078, and was a lifetime member of Morrison Lake, Inc.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Tiffin Freewill Baptist Church on Eighth Avenue with Brother Watson Combs officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge cemetery on CR 38.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home in Tiffin.

Memorials may be made to Seneca County Community Hospice Care.

Russell D. Spitler

Russell Dorvin Spitler, 86, of Fremont and formerly of Clyde, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, in Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.

He was born July 21, 1915, in Green Springs, to the late William H. and Harriett Magruder Spitler. He married Esther R. Myers on Dec. 30, 1939, and she died Feb. 3, 1983.

Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Lois) Gonya of Fremont; three brothers, Charles Spitler of Sandusky, George Spitler of Clyde, and Bill Spitler of California; and a sister, Mrs. Carlton (Mary) Grover of Fremont.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde.

Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lucille Featheringill

Lucille Featheringill, 73, of Willard, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at Willard Healthcare Center.

She was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Attica. Her husband, Willis H. Featheringill,l preceded her in death.

Survivors include: five sons, Kenny Featheringill of North Fairfield, Chuck, Don, and Bill Featheringill, all of Willard, and Dennis Featheringill of New Haven; three daughters, Judy Smelzer of Lakeland, Fla., Janice Poths of Willard, and Mary Anne Lewis of Monroe; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Dorsey "Skip" Wadams of Attica; and two sisters, Della Painter of Dayton and Ruth Zellner of Bloomville.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Secor Funeral Home in Willard. Burial will be in Attica Venice cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

M. Ruth Burkhardt

M. Ruth Burkhardt, 80, of 499 Miami St., Tiffin, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

She was born Nov. 27, 1921, in Williston, North Dakota, to William and Myrtle (Schell) Hanna. They are deceased. She married John A. Burkhardt on Dec. 25, 1942, in Washington D.C. and he survives.

Survivors also include: a son, Terry J. Burkhardt of Bucyrus and a daughter, Cheryl R. Burkhardt of Temple Hills, Md.

Deceased include: two brothers, Willis and Melvin Hanna and a sister, June Campbell.

Mrs. Burkhardt was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Republic High School and worked 19 years for Tiffin City Schools Cafeteria, primarily at Washington School.

She also worked for seven and a half years with the adjutant general's office at the Pentagon during World War II.

The Rev. Scott Hayward will officiate funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Tiffin. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home in Tiffin and 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Herbert H. Opitz

Herbert H. Opitz, 68, of Fostoria, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born Feb. 19, 1933. He married Helga Liefeld on Feb. 26, 1955, in Germany. She survives in Fostoria.

Survivors also include: two daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Martina) Kramb of Pemberville and Mrs. Matthew (Marnie) Medlock of Columbus; a brother, Heinze Opitz of Germany and five grandchildren.

Services will be private. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fountain cemetery in Fostoria.

There will be no visitation.

Hoening Funeral Home in Fostoria is in charge of arrangements.

Loren C. Harrison

Loren C. Harrison, 83, of Clyde, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at his residence.

He was born June 2, 1918, in Toledo to the late Cleve L. and Anna G. (Meredith) Harrison. He married Audrey Waldock on Oct. 29, 1947, and she survives.

Survivors also include: two sons, Henry C. Harrison of Clyde and Dana R. Harrison of Republic; three daughters, Mrs. John (Christine R.) Beckman of Republic, Mrs. Scott (Heather) Gill of Clyde and Anita Burroughs of Fremont; a sister, Margaret Gamble of Columbus; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Harrison was a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II.

Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde. Military graveside services will be provided by the Clyde American Legion and Clyde VFW. Interment will be in McPherson cemetery in Clyde.

Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Rosella A. Colatruglio

Rosella A. Colatruglio, 79, of 7 W. Market St., died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

Arrangements are pending at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.
