Clariden 'Pick' Harding
Clariden "Pick" Harding, 94, formerly of 153 N. Washington St., died at 7 p.m. Wednesday March 20, 2002, in the Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, Ohio, where he was a resident.
He was born Nov. 12, 1907, in Tiffin, to the late John and Ella (Cramer) Harding. His wife, Grace Beth (Ashburn) Harding, whom he married
Feb. 1, 1942, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons: Jim Harding and wife Kathy and John Harding, all of Tiffin; a granddaughter, Allyson Harding of Cincinnati; step-grandchildren, Lorie and Shawn Rodgers, both of Tiffin and Kim Drake of Columbus; and five great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are a brother and a sister.
A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Harding was self-employed with many different businesses. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin Elks Lodge for 68 years and many other local clubs. He was a resident of Tiffin all his life.
Graveside services will be in Greenlawn cemetery, with the Rev. John D. Teeters officiating.
There will be no visitation. The Turner-Engle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mildred L. Griffin
Mildred L. Griffin, 93, of Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, died at 11:25 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2002, in the Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born Feb. 20, 1909, in Tiffin, to Walter and Rose (Weott) McClure She married
Michael Griffin July 9, 1931, in Tiffin; and he is deceased.
Survivors include a son, Wayne C. Griffin, of Tiffin; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Donald Griffin, died in infancy; and a sister, Annabell Valentine, is also deceased.
She had spent her lifetime in Tiffin. She retired from U.S. Glass Co. after 46 years; was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church, Eagles, VFW and Daughters of America. Her dry sense of humor, love and generosity enveloped her family and friends.
Private graveside service will be in the Greenlawn cemetery with the Pastor Jon Bravinder officiating.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Sunday, March 24, at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Seneca County.
Mike L. Schiffer
A memorial luncheon for Mike Schiffer, 59, of North CR 33, Old Fort, who died at his home Thursday March 21, 2002, will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 25 in Fort Seneca Church..
He is the son of Lawrence H. and Bernice (Hill) Schiffer.
Surviving are his wife, Suzanne R. (Alley) Schiffer.
He donated his body to the Ohio State University Medical College.

Roger B. Boyd
Roger B. Boyd, 77, of 520 E. Tiffin St., Attica, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, from injuries due to an automobile accident.
He was born June 1, 1924, in Attica, to Harry and Hazel (Armitage) Boyd. On Oct. 13, 1949, he married
A. Mildred Boyd in Bellevue. She also died from injuries due to the automobile accident.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert H. Boyd of Orlando, Fla., and William L. Boyd of Willard; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Thomas Lutz, and Elizabeth and Dennis Hanlon, all of Attica; six grandchildren, Matthew Herr of Swanton, Ryan Herr of Attica, Kris Hanlon of Attica, Lyndsey Hanlon of Attica, Tom Lutz II of Bloomville, and Julie Boyd of Willard; three great-granddaughters, Brittany and Alexis Herr and Haley Lutz.
Roger was preceded in death by a son, Roger Bryce, and three brothers, Robert, Harry "Max"and Dewitt.
Mr. Boyd was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church, the Attica Lodge No. 367 Free and Accepted Masons, Tiffin Chapter No.189 Order of Eastern Star, and the Attica American Legion. He was a 1942 graduate of Attica High School and a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Boyd worked as an electrician for Excell of Tiffin, retiring in 1991.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Attica United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Thom Kalb officiating. Burial will be in Attica-Venice cemetery, Attica.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville. There will be an Eastern Star service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church, the Attica EMS, or to the Seneca County School of Opportunity.
A. Mildred Boyd

Roger Boyd in Bellevue. He also died from injuries due to the automobile accident.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert H. Boyd of Orlando, Fla., and William L. Boyd of Willard; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Thomas Lutz, and Elizabeth and Dennis Hanlon, all of Attica; six grandchildren, Matthew Herr of Swanton, Ryan Herr of Attica, Kris Hanlon of Attica, Lyndsey Hanlon of Attica, Tom Lutz II of Bloomville, and Julie Boyd of Willard; three great-granddaughters, Brittany and Alexis Herr and Haley Lutz; two brothers, Donald Henderson of Monroeville and John Henderson of New Mexico; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Mae Formosa of Cincinnati, Mrs. Grace Hare of Toledo, and Mrs. Christina Yenchi of North Huntington, Pa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Bryce, and two brothers, Richard and Lowell Henderson.

Marjorie L. Henry
Marjorie "Midge" L. Henry, 74, of TR 116, Fostoria, died at 5:30 a.m. at her grandson's house in Tiffin. She was born Jan. 12, 1928, near Tiffin to William E. and Millie E. (Woodruff) Luzader. She married
Chester Henry in Marion, Nov. 3, 1967. He died Dec. 13, 1994.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vern and Dale Luzader; and a sister, Eileen Whithed.
Survivors include: a step-son Ronald Henry of Fostoria; two step-daughters Mrs. Arthur (Barbara) Ebright of California and Sharon Henry of Tiffin; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Henry retired from Airfoil Textron, Fostoria, in 1988 after 19 years of employment. Prior to that she had worked at Bersted Manufacturing, and as a matron with the Fostoria City Schools. She was a member of the Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria, and former president, secretary and treasurer of the Fostoria Saddle Club.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with burial in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Seneca County.
Margaret Boehm
Margaret Martin Boehm, 90, passed away Monday, March 18, 2002, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born Dec. 27, 1911, in Baltimore, Md., to Wilbert Winfield Martin and Helen Royer Martin. She grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Columbian High School in Tiffin in June 1930, where her father was principal.
She then attended Heidelberg College in Tiffin and graduated in June 1934. During her freshman year English class at Heidelberg, she met Harold E. Boehm, who was from Cleveland. Their new relationship grew and on Sept. 27, 1937, they were married
.
Margaret taught high school English, Latin and library science at Liberty Center from 1935 to 1937.
She was a longtime member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights, Forest Hill Women's Church Group and participated in Sunday school. She was also active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the Cleveland Heights League of Women Voters, the library, the Heidelberg College Women's Club of Cleveland, the Community Bowling League, the Garden Club and various book clubs.
Margaret was also supportive of her husband's role on the Heidelberg College Board of Trustees and his associated civic responsibilities. Margaret and Harold were long time members of Mayfield Country Club and enjoyed swimming, bowling and golf.
Margaret and Harold became the proud parents of Donald M. Boehm and Helen R. Boehm, who both eventually attended and graduated from Heidelberg College. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Harold in March 1993.
She is survived by her son, Donald, and his wife, Candy, of Cleveland Heights; her daughter, Helen, and her husband, Bruce, of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren, David Boehm and his wife Lisa, Christopher Boehm, Tracy Utz Palovich and her husband Michael, and Cristina Utz Bates and her husband Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Wilbur Martin, and her sister, Elizabeth Martin Heestand.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be forwarded to the Margaret and Harold Boehm Scholarship Fund at Heidelberg College, Attn: Lee Martin, 310 E. Market St., Tiffin, OH 44883.
Memorial services for Margaret will be at 2 p.m. April 6 at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Heights, with the Rev. John C. Lentz Jr., pastor, officiating.
The Busch Family Funeral Chapel, 4334 Pearl Road, Cleveland, is handling the arrangements.
Lucille T. Wilkins
Lucille T. Wilkins, 72, of Sprigg Street, North Baltimore, died 10:12 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2002, at the Toledo Hospital. She was born March 20, 1930, in Fostoria to Maxwell T. and Letha F. (Bradley) Cooper.
Survivors include: two sisters, Elaine Smith of North Baltimore and Mrs. Patrick (Louann) O'Hara of Perris, Calif.; two sisters, Ivadine Johnson of Tujunga, Calif., and Illa Bickley of Fremont; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home with burial in Fountain cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Agnes Rose Houck
Agnes Rose Houck, 98, formerly of 115 W. High St., Attica, and more recently residing at the Bellevue Care Center, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at the Bellevue Hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1903, in Reed Township. She was an operator for the Northern Ohio Telephone Co. for 32 years, retiring June 2, 1958. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, the Altar Rosary Society and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by a brother, Albert H. Bogner of Bellevue, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary (Daniel) Bogner; husband John Houck (deceased 1973) whom she married
Nov. 23, 1935, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church; a sister and five brothers.
The rosary will be recited at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002 in Sts. Peter and Paul Church 14204 E. CR 56, Attica.
Friends will be received Tuesday 3/26/02 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Home, 1295 W. Tiffin St., Attica Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Sts. Peter and Paul Building Fund. At the request of the deceased, flowers are to be omitted.
Lynden C. Jones
Lynden C. Jones, 95, of 600 Fox Run Road, Findlay, and formerly of Bloomville, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at the Heritage in Findlay.
He was born Aug. 31, 1906, in Wellington, Ohio, to J. Lewis and Harriet (Colvin) Jones. On April 12, 1930, he married
Phyllis Hoverson, and she died in November 1982. On April 26, 1985, he married
Mildred (Stuckey) Oller, and she survives.
Also surviving are: two daughters, Mrs Carole (George) Kessler of Republic and Mrs. Sandra (Ron) Webb of Orlando, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Nola Heilman of Lima; a stepson, Tom Oller of Findlay; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and two brothers.
Mr. Jones was a member of the Republic United Church of Christ, Bloom Community Grange, and the Retired Teachers Association. He started one of the oldest 4-H clubs in Thompson Township in June of 1924; belonged to several camping clubs, and was a graduate of Penfield High School, Cleveland Automotive School, and Ohio State University.
Mr. Jones taught Vocational Agriculture and Industrial Arts for 31 years, beginning his teaching profession in Marseilles, Ohio. He also taught at Amsden Schools, Hopewell-Loudon, Thompson Schools, Scipio-Republic Schools, and Melmore
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at the Republic United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Jeff King officiating. Burial will be in Farewell Retreat cemetery, Republic.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2002 at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville.

Warren Pearson
Warren Pearson, 82, of Sandusky CR 223, Fremont, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Fremont. He was born April 23, 1919, to Henry and Viola (Gibbs) Pearson. He married
Jeannette L. (Reed) Pearson April 2, 1949. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Roger W. Pearson and Steven L. Pearson, and a daughter, Mrs. Sharon (Scott) Buehler, all of Fremont; and five grandchildren.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde, with burial at Oakwood cemetery, Fremont.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde.
Eileen Ohms
Eileen Ohms, 74, Sandusky CR. 265, Fremont, died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Toledo Hospital. She was born June 12, 1927, in Riley Township, Sandusky County, to the late Olah and Esther (Meggitt) Meek. She married
Paul R. Ohms Dec. 4, 1948.
Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Steven Ohms of Fremont and Michael Ohms of Clyde; four daughters, Mrs Penny (Peter) Diehl of Defiance, Ms. Kelly Miracle and Mrs. Sue (John) Hoffman, both of Fremont, and Mrs. Kay (Kenny) Paul of Cygnet; two brothers, Cliff Meek of Canada and Gary Meek of Tennessee; a sister Ruth Bates of Washington; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home with burial in Faust cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Gary L. Holeman
Gary L. Holeman, 53, of East Crocker Street, Fostoria, died at Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 18, 1949, in Fostoria to Floyd B. "Ben" and Tillie Patricia (Rathburn) Holeman. He married
Elona J. Holeman July, 21, 1998 in Tiffin.
Survivors include: his wife, Elona J. Holeman; a son, Clifford L. Holeman; two daughters, Mrs. Angela (Brian) Haudenshild and Louella Holeman all of Fostoria; four stepsons, Ernest Isaac of Sandusky and Joe Fogle of Findlay, Craig Fogle of Kenton and Dennis Mitchell of Las Vegas, Nev.; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Lori (Robert) Harris of Bloomdale, Kimberly Isaac of Gibsonburg, Sue Ann Isaac of Clyde, Susan Schieble and Kathi Degollado, both of Fostoria; a brother, Clifford G. Holeman of Perrysburg; and a sister, Dianna Reichenbach of Wayne; eight grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be at Riverview cemetery, West Millgrove.
Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dorothy Ilene Tilrico
Dorothy Ilene Tilrico, 77, of 801 Clinton St., Fremont, died 6:30 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 23, 1924 in Bloomville to Edson and Esta Mae (Moyer) Detterman. She married
John A. Tilrico Oct. 17, 1977 in Lexington, Va.,
Survivors include: her husband; two daughters, Barbara Magers of Tiffin and Lynn Emery of Fremont; a stepson, Michael Tilrico of Jacksonville, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Mary Ann Baker of Oak Harbor and Julie Ann Burke of Toledo; 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Faye Kelly of Tiffin; two stepbrothers, Jim Bordner and Virgil Bordner, both of Attica.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Snay, and their three children; a brother; and three sisters.
Mrs. Tilrico was a homemaker and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Community. She worked in the Sacred Heart School cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and was the bowling secretary for the Rainbow Lane Women's League. Many years ago, she worked for the former Monique's Fabrics in Fremont.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Block cemetery, Republic.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, Fremont.
Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church.
