Willard E. 'Bill' Fought
Willard E. "Bill" Fought, 87, formerly of Fairhome Ave., Clyde, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Parkview Care Center in Fremont.
He was born March 29, 1915, in Pleasant Township, Seneca County, to the late Edward and Alice (Bauman) Fought. On Nov. 30, 1935, he married
Helen (Chapman) Fought. She died March 10, 2000.
Surviving are: a son, Donald Fought of Missouri City, Texas; a daughter, Judith Miller of Fremont; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Schwan of Clyde.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Clyde. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde.
Louvena 'Lou' Holcomb
Louvena "Lou" Holcomb, 64, 3478 S. SR 53, Tiffin, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Lucas County, Toledo, where she had been a patient for a week.
She was born Sept. 26, 1937, in Hazard, Ky., to the late Ervin and Louise (Sloan) Caudill. On Sept. 8, 1952, in Hazard, she married
James "Jay" Holcomb. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Michael W. and June Holcomb of Tiffin; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Donna S.) Morris and Mrs. Samuel (Judith G.) Brommer, both of Tiffin and Mrs. Jay (Jamie R.) Dyson of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Tony and Ida Caudill of Wichita Falls, Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Lois) Young of Hamilton, Ohio, and Bettie Jeffries of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
A homemaker and the owner of Jay's Carpet, Mrs. Holcomb was a member of Grace Baptist Church, SR 101. She had lived in Tiffin since 1957.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry L. Boylan, the Rev. John D. Teeters and the Rev. Clyde Albertson officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and one hour before the service at the funeral home Thursday.
Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
Onalee G. Doty
Onalee Gloria Doty of Bucyrus, Ohio, and formerly from this area, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 10, 2002, in the Ohio State Medical Center &emdash; Rhodes Hall &emdash; in Columbus, Ohio. Death was caused by years of complications with diabetes. A niece, Beverly (Spiegel) Emerson of Bucyrus, Ohio, had donated one of her kidneys to her, which was successful and working to the last. This operation was on June 7, 2002.
She was born near Sycamore, Ohio, to James G., Sr. and E. Louise (Brittingham) Stover on Feb. 26, 1934. On Nov. 5, 1952, she was married
to Edward Nichols Doty I in Nevada Lutheran Church in Nevada, Ohio. He died Jan. 2, 1989.
She is survived by one son, Edward N. Doty II and his wife Lisa of Bucyrus; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, James G. (Inge) Stover Jr. of Fairfax, Va.,, Carol Eugene (Mary) Stover of Berlin Heights, Ohio, and Riley D. (Ann) Stover of Pensacola, Fla.; five sisters, Mrs. (Ted) Betty Louise McLaughlin of Gila Bend, Ariz., Mrs. (Clarence L.) Norma Ruth Martin of Tiffin, Ohio, Mrs. (Royal) Phyllis Ann Griffin of Nevada, Ohio, Mrs. (Maxium) Anita Grace Spiegel of Sulphur Springs, Ohio, and Mrs. (James) Rita Irene Nickelson of Oceola, Ohio, and Avon Lake, Fla.
Onalee was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gerald Jayne, and two sisters, infant June Romaine and Mrs. (Norval) Ilah Uleta (Stover) Osborne Kell of Los Angeles, Calif. Also surviving are many nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Onalee was a graduate of Nevada High School, Nevada, Ohio. She had also attended Green Springs, Ohio, Clinton and College Hill schools, both of Tiffin, Ohio. She had worked at the Bucyrus Timken Co.; owned and operated the Nevada Restaurant, Nevada, Ohio; and the Corner Inn in Upper Sandusky, Ohio; worked as a housekeeper at Good Hope Lutheran Church and at the Sandwich Shoppe. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church and Naomi Circle.
Viewing was 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, and the service was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus, Ohio. Officiating clergy was the Rev. Melanie Haack of Good Hope Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, Ohio. Final resting place was in Nevada cemetery, Nevada, Ohio.
Memorials were to the Diabetes Association.
Deborah A. Kinn
Deborah A. Kinn, 47, of 6670 E. C.R. 6, Bloomville, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
She was born Dec. 19, 1954, in Tiffin, to Donald D. and June (Blum) Ziegler. Her parents survive in Bloomville. She married
Herman Kinn on Dec. 31, 1972, in Monroe, Mich. He survives in Bloomville.
Also surviving are: two sons, Nathaniel Kinn and Andrew Kinn of Bloomville; four daughters, Stephanie McKeen of Tiffin, Bridget Auble and Marlo Kinn, both of Bloomville and Bethany Cook of Tiffin; two brothers, Dean M. Ziegler of Bloomville and Jack Ziegler of Tuscon, Ariz.; a sister, Gwendolyn Brown of Defiance; and 12 grandchildren.
Mrs. Kinn was a member of the Bloomville United Church of Christ, an advisor for the Busy Beavers 4-H Club for 24 years, a Seneca County Fair Board member, a 1973 graduate of Tiffin Columbian; a girls softball coach for 12 years, a Bible School and Sunday School teacher, a Cub Scout Leader, a member of the Bloomville Lioness, and a former leader for the Senecaettes Baton Corps.
Funeral will be 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, with the Rev. Jeff King officiating.
Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Edna Mae Jackson
Edna Mae Jackson, 60, North Poplar Street, Fostoria, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at her home.
She was born March 21, 1942, in Buskirk, Ky., to the late Lindsey and Opal (Cox) Ferguson Jr. On Feb. 3, 1962, in Monroe, Mich., she married
Edwin W. Jackson Sr. He died Sept. 19, 1992.
Surviving are: two sons, Victor and Edwin Jackson Jr., both of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Elizabeth) Alokan of Birmingham, Ala.; a step-daughter, Nancy Stiger of Fostoria; five brothers, Edgar Ferguson of El Paso, Texas, Allen Ferguson of Carey, Joseph Ferguson of Upper Sandusky, Gary Ferguson of Clyde and Donald Ferguson of Bettsville; two sisters, Kathy Ferguson of Lexington, Ky. and Karen Moore of Portsmouth; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackson retired in 1999 as a cook from the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria, where she had worked for 18 years. Prior to that she was a cook at the Black Cat for 12 years.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria, with the Rev. Jim Michaels officiating.
There will be no visitation. The Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Seneca County Hospice or Bridge Hospice of Hancock County.
Frederick F. Steinhauser
Frederick F. Steinhauser, 72, of 404 W. Seventh St., Sycamore, died 5:38 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.
He was born March 27, 1930, in Elyria to Frederick F. and Matilda (Peterson) Steinhauser Sr. He married
Imogene (St. Clair) Steinhauser and they divorced. He then married
Anita (Miller) Steinhauser on Nov. 20, 1977. She survives in Sycamore.
Other survivors include: two children, Mrs. Christine Caffee of Maumee and Mr. Frederick F. Steinhauser III of Clyde; five step-children, Mrs. Robin Golden of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Rhonda Miller of Wauseon, Miss Rochelle Needles of Tiffin, Mr. Paul Needles of Sycamore and Miss Risa Needles of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Matilda Steinhauser.
Mr. Steinhauser was a 1950 graduate of Columbian High School and former owner of Tiffin Hatchery. He retired as a truck driver from Central Transport in Warren, Mich. after 22 years. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Tiffin. Mr. Steinhauser also attended Our Master's Chapel in Benton. He was a member of Moose Lodge 846 in Tiffin, a social member of the V.F.W. in Tiffin and also a social member of Sycamore American Legion Post 250. He loved watching football and NASCAR racing.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles McGlone officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Tiffin.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Wyandot County Heart Support Group, Wyandot County Cancer Society or to Our Master's Chapel in Benton.

Alice M. Luman
Alice M. Luman, 55, of 130 S. SR 587, McCutchenville, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002.
She was born in Tiffin on February 18, 1947 to Earl Charles W. and Florence (Kuhn) Romich, both deceased. She married
James W. Luman, and they are divorced.
Surviving include a son, John W. Luman of Melmore; two daughters, Shannon M. Lane of Indiana, and Charlene A. Nimocks of McCutchenville; and three grandchildren, Stardell Luman and Jake Luman, both of W. College Corner, IN., and Lacy Nimocks of McCutchenville.
Ms. Luman has spent her entire life in the Tiffin, Melmore and McCutchenville area. A 1966 graduate of Columbian High School, she worked for K.F.C., TNT Pizza and as a homemaker.
Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002 in Greenlawn cemetery with Pastor James Michaels officiating..
Visitation hours will be from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home.

Deloss C. 'Ace' Loader
Deloss C. "Ace" Loader, 87, formerly of Vanlue died at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2002 in Fox Run Manor. He was born Sept. 4, 1914 to Ernest and Elsie (Smith) Loader. On Oct. 15, 1938 he married
Orpha A. Wise, she died Aug. 29, 1998.
Surviving include: two sons, Alan D. Loader of Vanlue and James R. Loader of Tiffin; a daughter, Mrs. Rosalyn Smith of Delaware; two sisters, Mrs. Neva Karl of Toledo, and Mrs. Gertrude Roller of Toledo; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Barbara L. Blodgett
Barbara L. Blodgett, 68, of 220 Maple Lane, Green Springs, died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2002 in Fremont Hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1933 to James and Florence Murphy. On Aug. 8, 1952 she married
Richard A. Blodgett in Calvary United Methodist Church in Green Springs, and he survives. Other survivors include: a son, Scott A. Blodgett of rural Green Springs; a daughter, Miss Dawn E. Blodgett of Stony Ridge; a sister, Mrs. Carole Patmiou of Whitehouse; and two grandchildren, Zachary S. and Seth E. Blodgett, both of Clyde.

Jeanne E. Hunter
Jeanne E. Hunter, 87, of 1520 North Denwood, Dearborn, MI., died Wednesday, August 28, 2002. She was born in Tiffin July 5, 1915 to Louis and Flora (Zuern) Hoffman. On Nov. 20, 1937 she married
Richard P. Hunter in Tiffin, he died in 1980.
Surviving include: a son, Timothy A. Hunter of Redford, MI; two daughters, Mrs. Sally Muse of West Bloomfield Hill, MI, and Mrs. Susan Anderson of Los Vegas, NE; and three grandchildren.
The Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002 at Greenlawn cemetery.

Maria 'Lupe' Lopez
Maria Guadalupe "Lupe" Lopez, 83, of 123 E. Culbertson, St., Fostoria, died at 10:55 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2002 in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center. She was born Dec. 15, 1918 to Juan and Mercedes (Ruiz) Florez. On June 24, 1942 she married
Gusto Stanley Lopez in St. Wendelin Church in Fostoria, and he survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Joseph A. Lopez of Fostoria; three daughters, Mrs. M. Rebecca Malagon, and Christina DeLaRosa, both of Fostoria, and Mrs. Virginia Lopez de Holien, Lafayette, CO.; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hernandez, Mrs. Ruth Saenz, and Mrs. Cory Macias, all of Fostoria; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002 St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. Burial at St. Wendelin Parish cemetery.
Visitation hours are from 6-9 p.m., tonight, and 11-12:30 p.m. Saturday
at Hoening Funeral Home. A Christian wake Service will be held tonight and a Rosary will be recited on Saturday.
Francis J. Hartman
Francis J. Hartman, 79, of 232 Hamilton St., Bellevue, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002 in Bellevue Hospital.
He was born April 24, 1923, in Marion to Lee Roy and Agnes (Jaeger) Hartman. He married
Norma J. Dellinger in Bellevue Jan. 29, 1972; and she survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, John Vernon Hartman of Bellevue, and David (Pam) Runkle of Smyrna, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Patricia Ann) Dick of Bellevue; a granddaughter, Kaley Alexis Dick; two step-grandchildren, Daniel and David Sturgess; and two sisters, Eileen Maines of Bettsville, and Mary Billow of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Bernard Hartman; and three sisters, Arleen Hosang, Eleanor Weise and Dorothy Richardson.
He was a Veteran of the Army Air Force, serving in World War II. He was a truck driver for Roadway Express, Inc. and CCC Highway, retiring in 1979; a life member of Bellevue V.F.W. Post 1238, the Military Order of Cooties, Eagles Aerie 490, a Past President of the Eagles, the Sandusky AMVETS Association, the Bellevue Elks Lodge 1013, Immaculate Conception Church, American Legion Post 46, and Moose Lodge 238. Currently he was VFW Post 1238 Quartermaster.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Robert Tucceri officiating. VFW graveside services will be in Bellevue cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to American Lung Association or to American Cancer Society.
Rev. William O. Homeister
Rev. William O. Homeister, 81, of 192 St. Francis Ave., Villa No. 17, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
He was born June 20, 1921, in Wyandotte, Mich., to William J. and Edna E. (Bock) Homeister. They are deceased. He married
Marilyn J. Held at Eden Seminary in St. Louis, Mo., June 26, 1947; and she survives.
Other survivors include: a son, William R. of Pleasant City; a daughter, Rebecca L. Grammer of Tiffin; two grandchildren; and three brothers, Orville of Riverview, Mich., Owen of Grand Marais, Mich., and Eugene of Empire, Mich.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Trinity United Church of Christ with burial in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, Mich.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

Gaylord L. Veach
Gaylord L. Veach, 51, of Fremont, died Friday morning, Aug. 30, 2002, at his Franklin Avenue home.
He was born July 29, 1951, in Ponca City, Okla., to Gordon M. and Wanda (Myers) Veach. They are deceased. He married
Velma (Renfro) Woodruff May 3, 2002, in Fremont; and she survives.
Other survivors include: step-mother, Vera Veach of Tonkawa, Okla.; four sons, Chris of Enfield, Ill., Bobby of Roanoke, Va., and Beau and Brett of Bellevue; two step-sons, Weston and Houston Woodruff of Fremont; five grandchildren; three brothers, Garold Veach and Garvin Veach of Chickasha, Okla., and Harold King of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters, Carolyn Edwards and Connie Goodpasture of Enid, Okla., and Brenda Teten of Ponca City, Okla.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary, Fremont. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
