Faith Ann Goodluck

Faith Ann Goodluck, of SR 101, Clyde, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

She was born Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, to Charles and Tonya (Stiger) Goodluck. They survive.

Also surviving are: a brother, Elyjah Aldrich; a sister, Alexus Goodluck, both of Clyde; grandparents, Robert and Sheila Stiger of Clyde, Fred Goodluck of Bradner and Melissa Goodluck of Toledo.

Graveside Service will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at McPherson cemetery. Burial will be in McPherson cemetery.

Arrangements were made by the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home.

Regina E. Bogner

Regina E. Bogner, 73, of 243 Clay st., Tiffin, died 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born Aug. 23, 1929, in Republic, to the late Melvin and Helen (Armstrong) Bowe. She married Herman Bogner in October of 1947 in Seneca County. He died Feb. 19, 1967.

Surviving are a son Dennis Bogner of Columbus; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Schreiner of Norwalk and Lela Bowe of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Barbara Ellen Joseph and a sister, Rowena Mason.

Mrs. Bogner was a lifelong resident of the Tiffin area and graduated from Republic High School, Class of 1947. She retired from Excel Wire in Tiffin and was a member of IBWE, an organization of Excel Wire. She was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Murd officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. A Wake Service will be 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tiffin Humane Society.

Connie Lou Eibling

Connie Lou Eibling, 57, resident of Tiffin Development Center, 600 North River Road, Tiffin, and formerly of Arlington, died 12:19 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

He was born March 19, 1945, in Findlay to Charles Christopher and Ruth Mary (Sink) Eibling. His mother survives in Arlington.

Also surviving are: two brothers, Chris Eibling of Fremont and Dennis Eibling of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Private services will be held at Crates Funeral Home in Arlington, with burial in Arlington, Ohio, cemetery.

John Tilden Jones

John Tilden Jones, 79, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Tiffin, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Gainesville, Fla.

He was born in Winchester, Kentucky. He married Margaret "Marnie" (Stone) Jones. She survives in Gainesville.

Also surviving are: his wife, three daughters, Judith McLaughlin of North Canton, Deborah Wade of Charlotte, N.C. and Catherine Simkins of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lois Stoots.

Mr. Jones was a Veteran and went in on Utah Beach the day after D-Day and was also involved in the liberation of Paris.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Fla. Burial will be private in Winchester, Ky.

Arrangements were handled by the Milam Funeral Home in Gainesville, Fla.

Alan F. 'Mike' Gregg

Alan F. "Mike" Gregg, 73, of Lincoln St., Fostoria, died 9:57 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at Mount Carmel West in Columbus.

He was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Lockport, N.Y., to Charles and Elsie (Graves) Gregg. He married Donna Bradner. They are divorced.

Surviving are: two sons, Michael Gregg of Florida and William Gregg of Fostoria; three daughters, Elana Gregg and Kathy Heath, both of Fostoria and Leesa Cook of Lima; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gregg was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Memorial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Kathy Heath's home, 862 Lincoln Ave., Fostoria. There was no funeral.

Services are being handled by the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria.

Carol Ann Byrne

Carol Ann Byrne, 75, formerly of Fostoria, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in Columbus.

She was born April 27, 1927, in Cincinnati, to the late Leslie and Lucy (Reagan) Binder. She married Michael Byrne. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are: four children, Cathy, Betsy, Michael and Carolyn; four grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Walker of Virginia and Nancy Jackson of Michigan.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, where the rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are being handled by Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Eugene E. Fraley

Eugene E. Fraley, 77, of 122 Gibson St., Tiffin, died 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

He was born July 3, 1925, in Tiffin, to Myrlen and Orpha (Creeger) Fraley. His mother survives in Tiffin. He married Marjorie J. Lehnert June 7, 1946, in Tiffin. She died Nov. 17, 1980. He married Martha Humberger on April 2, 1982, in Tiffin. She died May 1, 1994. His companion, Miriam Stephens survives in Tiffin.

Also surviving are: a son, Dennis E. Fraley and wife Suzi of Tiffin; a daughter, Sharon Fraley Dotson and fiance, Gary Hartman of Tiffin; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald (Skip) Fraley of Jamestown, R.I.; a sister, Marjorie Wylie of Springfield.

Mr. Fraley graduated from Tiffin Columbian in 1942 and went to Heidelberg College, graduating in 1950. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was the national sales manager at Sterling Abrasives and retired after 43 years.

Mr. Fraley was a member of Plankton United Methodist Church; AmVets Post 48 in Tiffin; Knights of Columbus 602, in Tiffin; National Rifle Association and VFW 2858.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, 419-447-3113, with the Pastor Patricia Fruth officiating. Burial will be private in Greenlawn cemetery, with Military Rites by the United Veterans Council.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Plankton United Methodist Church in care of Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Richard A. Recker

Richard A. Recker, 81, 367 Lelar St., Tiffin, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at his home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Lemoyne, Ohio, to the late Paul C. and Carrie (Knierim) Recker. On July 25, 1947, in Bascom E.U.B. Church, he married Wilma C. Adams, who survives.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Nancy (Arthur) Hill of Port Clinton and Mesa, Ariz., Cheryl (John) Ward of Huron and LuAnn (Terry) Hayfield of Fostoria; a step-sister, Wanda Wilson of Sylvania; five grandchildren: Amanda Field, Chad (Sherry) Andexler, Kassandra (Christopher) Heutt, Jon (Kate) Hayfield and Paul Hayfield; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathaniel Huett.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Robert, Theodore and Thomas Recker; a great-grandson, Kyle Dalton Andexler; and his step-father, I.W. Walters.

Mr. Recker, a graduate of Pemberville High School, attended Bowling Green State University. He retired from farming and from the General Electric. He was a member of Habitat for Humanity; served on the Board of Allen Eiry Senior Center, volunteered for Mercy Hospital Mobile Meals and at the Food Pantry at Old Fort United Methodist Church, where he was a member. He also was a member of Win One and Faithful Followers Classes at the church. He enjoyed woodworking, stained glass and volunteering. He was an Ensign in the U.S. Navy Air Corp, serving as a fighter pilot during World War II.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, in Old Fort United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Nichols officiating. Private family burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery, Old Fort.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Old Fort United Methodist Church Building Fund, Community Hospice Care or a charity of the donor's choice.

Roscoe A. Patterson

Roscoe A. "Ross" Patterson, 76, of Upper Sandusky, died 4:32 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in the ICU of Marion General Hospital in Marion.

He was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Carey to Roscoe Neil and Bertha (Hotelling) Patterson. His parents are deceased. He married Patricia (Tuorrey) Patterson, in Carey, Jan. 9, 1970. She died May 31, 2001.

Surviving are: two sons, Gary and his wife Bev Patterson of Upper Sandusky and Mike and his wife Dawn Patterson of Carey; a stepson, Greg Anspach and his wife Cheryl of Tiffin; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Susan) Haymaker of San Diego, Calif., and Gay Higgins of Carey; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Kevin (Vicki) Sessler of Upper Sandusky, Mrs. Philip (Sheree) O'Neill of Lexington, Ky., Kim Anspach of Upper Sandusky and Mrs. Steve (Lori) Lamont of Upper Sandusky; five grandchildren, Kevin McAfee, Matt and Austin Higgins, and Jordan and Lexi Patterson; 12 step grandchildren, Brittany and Brooke Sessler, Katherine and Nicholas O'Neil, Keith, Karra and Abbey Anspach, Tashia Stewart, Ian Anspach, Blake and Paige Lamont and Missy Larick; a step great-grandchild, Kassandra McKibben; and two sisters, Pauline Row of Pine Island, Fla. and Mrs. Paul (Lois) Brooks of Vanlue.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Neil E. Patterson and a sister, Donna Gaster.

Ross was an auto mechanic and body repair man for Lanning Motors in Carey. He then owned and operated Ross and Earl's Marathon, also in Carey, after which he then worked as a steel truck driver dispatcher for C.W. Transport for 20 years; He then was a salesman for Crow Motor Sales in Upper Sandusky. Then in semi-retirement, he worked for Wyandot Council on Aging. He also enjoyed traveling throughout the states.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Lucas Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Charles Steward and the Rev. Jerry Elsholz officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot Council on Aging and/or to the charity of donor's choice.

Beulah K. Spitler

Beulah K. Spitler, 103, of St. Francis Home, Tiffin, formerly of 20 Harvest Lane in Tiffin, died 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at St. Francis.

She was born Dec. 10, 1899, in Tiffin, to Jacob T. Whitman and Anna Elizabeth Schorger. She first married Edison E. Kime . He is deceased. She married Clarence F. Spitler June 26, 1943, in Tiffin. He died May 14, 1969.

Surviving are: a daughter Juanita (Sherman) Wadsworth of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Connie Carrothers of Republic, Tom Sherman of Green Springs, Brad Sherman of Wildomar, Calif., and Dean Sherman of Fremont; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Wickert of Old Fort.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Anna Whitman; a son, Ellis E. "Griggs" Kime; a grandson; a great-grandson; and six brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Spitler was a lifetime resident of Tiffin. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling and loved nature and her flowers.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jared Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Union cemetery in Old Fort.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Robert Rule

Robert Rule, 82, of Nevada, Ohio, died 8:38 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in the Bucyrus Community Hospital.

He was born June 19, 1920, in Bucyrus, to the late Orvie and Cora (Pinyerd) Rule. He married Mary Ellen Heinlen in Nevada May, 31, 1958. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Carmen Reigle of Sycamore, and two grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the Army Air Force during World War II.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lucas Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in Nevada cemetery, Nevada.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Joan E. Spencer

Joan E. Spencer, 54, originally of Glenn Street, Tiffin, died in early December while living in Naples, Italy. She was preceded in death by her parents, A. Arvilla and Donald F. Spencer.

She is survived by her brother, Kenneth of Waterbury, Vt.; and a sister, Susan Sevitz of Dublin, Ohio. She served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970.

A memorial will be Jan. 19, 2003, in Dublin, Ohio.

Vickie Borough-Brown

Vickie Lynn Borough-Brown of Greenville, Miss., died Dec. 18, 2002, at her residence.

Vickie was born April 21, 1955, to Eileen and Richard Borough, who survive in Robinsonville, Miss.

Vickie was a graduate of Old Fort High School and Toledo University. She married James Brown of Tiffin, in 1976, and he survives with their two children, Jamie and Nicholas, all of Greenville. Vickie is also survived by her sister, Teresa Kirby of Tiffin.

Services will be Dec. 21 at St. Joe's Church in Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Research, Houston, Texas.

Ralph R. Higgins

Ralph R. Higgins, 67, of Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, died at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002. He was born March 25, 1935 to Loy and Ressie (Johnson) Higgins. On June 5, 1955 he married Marlene Monday, they divorced.

Surviving include: two sons, Allen and Tom Higgins, both of Vanlue; a daughter, Teresa Kitzer of Vanlue;three brothers, Gerald Higgins of Troy, Tom Higgins of Lancaster, Manuel Higgins of Huber Heights; a sister, Kay Wellman of Kettering; nine grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002 at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. Burial at Van Horn cemetery near Vanlue.

Visitation hours are from 2-9 p.m., tonight, at the funeral home.

Donald R. Wonder

Donald R. Wonder, 36, of Cherry Street, Fostoria, died at 3 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, in his home.

He was born Aug. 9, 1966, in Fostoria to Donald E. and Carolyn S. (Bethel) Wonder. He married Sarah Buckner April 3, 1993, in Fostoria.

Survivors include: his mother of Fostoria; his wife of Fostoria; two sons, Lucas and Brian at home; a daughter, Amber at home; three brothers, Karl of Barstow, Calif., Miles and John, both of Fostoria; four sisters, Rebecca Wonder of Fostoria, Carol Price of Bolivia, Ohio, Cheryl Tipton of Murfresbor, Tenn., and Elizabeth Pneuman of Cams, Wash.

His father preceded him in death.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with burial in Knollcrest cemetery, Arcadia.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
