Lelo Bertha Hudson
Lelo Bertha Hudson, 89, of Duane St., Clyde, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at St. Francis Nursing Home in Green Springs.
She was born Oct. 30, 1913, in Clyde, to the late Frank and Julia (Miller) Meek. She married
Darrell Hudson who preceded her in death in 1981.
Surviving are: a son, David Hudson of Raytown, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Ellen Sanford of Clyde; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister Julia Whiley of Clyde.
The funeral will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Clyde, at a later date. Burial will be in McPherson cemetery.
There will be visitation.

Alice M. Bushman
Alice M. (Powelson) Bushman, 91, died 9:45 p.m. at Colonial Nursing Home in Rockford.
She was born on Dec. 22, 1911, in Bettsville, to Warren P. and Eurie Mae Feasel Lynch. They are deceased.
She married
Lionell E. Powelson on April 27, 1931. He preceded her in death on March 18 1970.
Surviving are: two daughters, Patricia "Pat" (Richard) Bowe, Sr. and Jean (Larry) Saunders, both of Lima; three brothers, Richard Lynch of Mesa, Ariz., Jack Lynch of Fostoria and William Lynch of Covington, Ky.; four sisters, Hazel Hanson of Gibsonburg, Beulah Dumm of Springfield, Mo., Jean Lutz of Old Fort and Shirley Burkhart of Tiffin; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Alfred Bushman, a son, Tommy Lee Powelson; a brother, Robert Lynch and a great grandchild.
Mrs. Bushman worked on the assembly line at Westinghouse Corp. and before that was a clerk at the Barr Hotel. She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle.
The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at the Chiles and Sons-Laman Lewis Chapel in Lima. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Lewis Memorial Chapel, Lima.

Margaret S. Goshe
Margaret S. Goshe, 88, of 100 Allen St., Tiffin, died 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 7, 1914, in Carey, to John and Lenora (Ruffing) Kessler. They are deceased.
She married
Linus P. Goshe on May 1, 1934, in Carey. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1988.
Surviving are: five sons, Linus J. Goshe; Charles Goshe; Duane Goshe and Eugene R. Goshe, all of Tiffin; and Ronald Goshe of Ada; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard Kessler and Robert Kessler, both of Carey; three sisters, Rita Nye, Mary Risner and Bernice Breidenbach, all of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Fox; three siblings, Raymond Kessler, Estella Draper and Charles Kessler.
Mrs. Goshe was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin.
The funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. James K. Say officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.Thursday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin. (419) 447-3113.
The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the funeral mass, at the church, on Friday.

Russell H. Hill
Russell H. Hill, 52, of 511 Monticello Drive, Fostoria, died at 4:21 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in St. Luke's Hospital, Lucas County, Maumee.
He was born Nov. 29, 1950, in Sandusky, to Richard and Pearl (Smith) Hill. His father is deceased and his mother survives. On July 5, 1985, in Calvary United Methodist Church, Green Springs, he married
Candela Leichty, who survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Carson Jordan Hill of Fostoria, a brother, Richard Hill of Fremont and a sister, Becky Martinez of Wayne.
A sister died in infancy.
Mr. Hill, a graduate of Fremont Ross High School, retired from the U.S. Army. He had been stationed in Germany. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Green Springs, Fostoria Eagles and the Disabled American Veterans, where he was a lifetime member. He had resided in Fostoria since 1985.
The service will be at noon Thursday, Jan. 23, in Calvary United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jared Williams officiating. Burial will be in Green Springs cemetery, with military graveside services.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday until time of the service.
Memorials may be made to his family. The Engle-Young Funeral Home, Green Springs, is in charge of arrangements.
Gladys I. Noble
Gladys I. Noble, 97, of 430 Hedges St., Tiffin, died 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at the Elmwood At The Shawhan in Tiffin.
She was born on March 9, 1905, in Grant County, Ind., to Rutherford B. and Ida Inez (Lucas) Walker. They are deceased.
She married
Louis A. Noble on June 8, 1933, in Gas City, Ind. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 1989.
Surviving are: two sons, John H. (Pat) Noble of Tiffin and Joseph W. (Jacquelin) Noble of Gas City, Ind.; three grandchildren, Mitchell Noble of Anderson, Ind., Timothy (Tina) Noble of Gas City, Ind. and Christopher Noble of Cleveland; two great-grandchildren, Paige and Michael Noble, both of Gas City, Ind. and a sister, Geneva Roush of Marion, Ind.
Mrs. Noble taught for a few years before becoming a homemaker in Gas City, Indiana. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gas City, Ind.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Needham-Storey-Wompner Funeral Home (Storey Chapel) 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN 46933 (765) 668-3014, with the Rev. Gary Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside cemetery in Gas City, Ind.

Hazele D. Wagner
Hazele D. Wagner, 85, formerly of 303 E. Seventh St., Sycamore, died 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on July 24, 1917, in Akron, to Benjamin and Nellie (Travis) Young. They are deceased.
She married
Willis E. Wagner on July 10, 1937. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2000.
Surviving are: two sons, Mr. Willis C. Wagner of Sevierville, Tenn. and Mr. Michael J. Wagner of Urbana; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Linda) McCarley of Sycamore and Mrs. John (Dianne) Grosky of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Mr. Howard Young and a sister, Mrs. Steven (Dorothy) Oreskovich, both of Mogadore.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Helen Herron.
Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker and the former owner of Wag's Place in Tiffin. She loved her family and loved to cook.
She was a member of the Sycamore United Church of Christ.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore with the Rev. Diane Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery in Sycamore.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Terry Joseph Potteiger
Terry Joseph Potteiger, 50, of 2585 TR 142, Findlay, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at his residence.
He was born April 1, 1952, in Fostoria, to Theodore Potteiger of Findlay and Marcella (Rumschlag), deceased.
He married
Margaret (Weber) Nov. 19, 1976. She survives.
Also surviving are: two sons, Bryan and Zacharey, both at home; five brothers, Ronald of Tiffin, John and Charles of Fostoria, Theodore, Jr. of Findlay and Floyd of Van Buren; four sisters, Carol Correll of Fostoria, Darlene Nagle of Houston, Texas, Frances Kay Dallen of Pahrump, Nev., and Deborah Kroeschel of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
Mr. Potteiger worked as a millwright at Whirlpool and was also a part-time farmer.
He was a Cub Scout leader of Pack 313.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church Downtown, with the Rev. Father Keith Stripe officiating.
Burial will be in St. Wendelin cemetery in Fostoria.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay.

William G. Heishman
William G. Heishman, 74, of Midvale Avenue, Clyde, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
He was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Castalia to the late Glenn and Dolores (Velizuette) Heishman. He married
Helen (Benner) Heishman Sept. 15, 1952. She died in June 1950. He married
Mary (Brown) Heishman Feb. 25, 1961. She survives.
Also surviving are: four sons, Benjamin Heishman, Samuel Heishman, Roy James Heishman and John Homer Heishman, all of Fremont; three daughters, Linda Benner of Clyde, Jeannie Cleveland of Fremont and Irene Frazier of Clyde; nine grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild and two step great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer Heishman and Wayne Heishman, both of Clyde, and Kenneth Heishman of Fostoria.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde. Burial will be in McPherson cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Katherine M. Burrill
Katherine M. Burrill, 82, formerly of Northwest Street, Bellevue, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in the Bethesda Care Center, Fremont.
She was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Bellevue, to the late Joseph and Catherine (O'Hara) Keller. In May 1944, she married
Donald Joseph "Johnny" Burrill. He died in 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Burrill of Shelby Township, Mich., and Joseph Burrill of Dayton; and six grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.
Mrs. Burrill, a Wave veteran, served as a pharmacist's mate 2nd class during World War II.
Services will be at a later date. The Auxter Funeral Home, Bellevue, is in charge of arrangements.
Alvin Ross Thomas Sr.
Alvin Ross Thomas Sr., 90, 153 Hudson St., Tiffin, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in the Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
He was born Jan. 3, 1913, in Hancock County, to the late Harvey V. and Clara (Wise) Thomas. His wife, Nina M. Thomas, whom he married
June 18, 1938, in Seneca County, survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include: two sons, Alvin R. (Cathy) Thomas Jr. of Tiffin and Larry E. Thomas of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia A. Thomas of Tiffin; a grandson, Allen R. (Melissa) Thomas of Tiffin; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur B. Thomas of Vanlue and a sister, Mabel Mikesell of Columbus.
Four brothers, Homer, Luther, Wilbur and Orville Thomas and a sister, Lena Thomas, also are deceased.
Mr. Thomas a 1932 Old Fort High School graduate, attended Heidelberg College for two years. He retired in 1979 after 39 years as a mixer at ITT-Sterling Abrasive Products. He was a member of Hopewell Church of God, where he had served as trustee and elder. He taught Sunday school, was a member of the church choir, the Faithful Few Sunday school class and the Fisher of Men Group. He also was very active in the March of Dimes Walk and the Crop Walk.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Hopewell Church of God, with the Rev. Terry Steinhauer officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883 (419) 447-3113 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Hopewell Church of God.

Thelma R. Kessler
Thelma R. Kessler, 98, of Huntington, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Morris Memorial Nursing Home, Milton. She was born June 30, 1904, in Webster County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Dr. Joseph C. and Delora (Kagy) Kessler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Henson Mortuary. Burial will follow in Spring Hill cemetery, Huntington, with family members conducting the services. Miss Kessler was a retired schoolteacher in Lincoln County, and graduated from Marshall University, where she was a member of Theta Sigma Upsilon Sorority. She also served as District Treasurer for the W. Va. Federation of Woman's Clubs. She was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington. In the 1950's she changed her career after studying accounting She held a position in the Finance Office of Marshall University from 1954 until her retirement in 1969.
Survivors include: a niece, Sally Icard of Patriot, Ohio; nephew William K. Dickson of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by a niece, Mrs. Betty Plyburn and a sister, Terzah Kessler Dickson. Also surviving are great-nieces and nephews Jack Icard, Jeff Icard, Debbie Plyburn Somerville, James Plyburn, Alice Dickson, David Dickson and 12 great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday. Consign my body to earth, for I have served it well and my soul to heaven for eternal care.
Robert E. Margraf
Robert E. Margraf, 76, of 7838 S. State Route 587, Mccutchenville, OH, died at 5:50 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. He was born August 3, 1926 in Wyandot County to Henry L. and Hazel (Eckleberry) Margraf.
Survived by: a caregiver and friend, Mrs. Betty Messersmitt; a brother, Daryl W. Margraf of Fostoria; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death were: his parents; and a brother, William Margraf.
Mr. Margraf was a a Carey High School graduate. He is a Veteran serving with the U.S. Army during WW II. A retired farmer and he worked in the parts department of Creeger Implement Company of Tiffin and Carey. His memberships included: Seneca County Farm Bureau; Moose Lodge #872, New Riegel; Sycamore American Legion Post #250; Veterans of Foreign War Black-Lamberjack Post #3759; former member Seneca County Antique Tractor Association; and former Indian Mill Antique Tractor Association member. He was a member of the Protestant Faith.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2003 at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home officiated by The Pastor Paul W. Goetz Burial at Pleasant Ridge cemetery, Sycamore.
Visitation hours are from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the Sycamore American Legion Post #250.
