Cassandra 'Cassie' Cole

Cassandra "Cassie" E. Cole, 15, of 168 N. Monroe St., Tiffin, has become a peaceful Heavenly Angel.

She was born Dec. 24, 1987, in Tiffin, to Dale and Mary (Bair) Cole of Tiffin. They survive in Tiffin.

Also surviving are: a brother, Nathan Jumper of Tiffin; four sisters, Nicole Jumper and Danielle Cole, both of Tiffin, Shannon Cole and Heather Cole, both at home; grandparents, Paul and Juanita (Vanhorn) Cole of Tiffin; a niece, Audri Ziegler; a nephew, Deakon Ziegler; numerous aunts and uncles; and a special family friend Glennamom Criblez of Tiffin.

Preceding her in death were: her grandparents, John Bair Sr. and Jacqueline (Bach) Bair; and two uncles, John "Guy" Bair, Jr. and Tom Hinckley.

Ms. Cole was a life-long resident of Tiffin and was a freshman at Columbian High School. She cherished spending time with her many friends and listening to music and being outdoors.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home with the Rev. Jacob Yaeger officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Ann A. Robinson

Ann A. Robinson passed away Sunday, March 27, 2003, peacefully in Sonoma, Calif., at the age of 90.

A long-time Sonoma resident, Ann Robinson was a native of Long Island, New York. The family moved to California in 1949 and to Sonoma in 1955.

Ann, the former Ann Kiesling, was the widow of the late Eugene M. Robinson and mother of Robert F. Robinson of Sonoma, Calif. and Diane Hoover of Tiffin. She was mother-in-law to Virginia Robinson and Tom Hoover.

She is survived by 11 grandchildren and their spouses: Michael and Lisa Robinson of Austin, Texas, David and Sophia Robinson of Hutto, Texas, Richard Robinson of Cupertino, Calif., Yvonne and Jim Fahrny of Beulah, Colo., Tami and John Herman of Centerville, Raymond Chattman of Oak Mill, Va., Timothy and Viola Chattman of Vallejo,, Calif., Stephanie and Mark Farmer of Petaluma, Calif., Jeff Hoover and Staci O'Nan of Tiffin and Julie and John Mellini of Cranston, R.I.; 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Ann was the sister of Mabel Grunert of New Hyde Park, N.Y., sister-in-law of Tom Motto of Mineola, N.Y., and aunt to many nephews and nieces in the New York and Long Island area.

Ann was active in the local VFW Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, and Rebekah groups before her illness.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 West Napa St., Sonoma, CA 95476. Then, a Celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. at the Sonoma Valley Moose Lodge the same day. Private inurnment will be at Valley cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations in Ann's honor can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Stephen M. Reedy

Stephen M. Reedy, 50, of 201 Sixth Ave., Tiffin, died at 1:09 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 6, 1953, in Tiffin, to Alice Reedy. She survives in Tiffin.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.

Irene A. DeVanna

Irene A. Thompson DeVanna, 67, of Midvale Ave., Clyde, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in Memorial Hospital in Fremont.

She was born July 11, 1935, in Vickery, to Charles and Stella (Furback) Thompson. They are deceased.

Surviving are: two sons, James DeVanna of Clyde and Charles DeVanna of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Thompson of Castalia.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home in Clyde. Burial will be in Parkhurst cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Carolyn A. Tarallo

Carolyn A. (DeBella) Tarallo, 72, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Parkview Care Center in Fremont.

She was born on October 13, 1930, in Rensselaer, N.Y. Her parents are deceased. On Aug. 20, 1949, she married Sebastian Michael Tarallo in Trumble Conn. He preceded her in death March 12, 2001.

Surviving are: two sons, Mel Tarallo of Orlando, Fla. and Tom Tarallo of Oak Harbor; four daughters, Joann Ryan of Woodstock, Ga., Carol Marie Wise of Tiffin, Margie Vogler of Destin, Fla. and Lucy Ruiz of Oak Harbor; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Franzese of Los Angeles, Calif.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Sunday at the Robinson-Henn-Brossia Funeral Home in Oak Harbor. Burial will be in Roose cemetery, Oak Harbor.

Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Saturday, with family present from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Devin Michael Shilling

Devin Michael Shilling, 21 days, of 142 S. Lake St., Carey, died at 2:13 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

He was born March 11, 2003, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center to Heidi L. Shilling. She survives in Carey.

Other survivors include: maternal grandmother, Cynthia Shilling; maternal great-grandparents, Herbert and Lois Prater, all of Carey; paternal grandparents, Stephan and Patricia Shilling of Vanlue and paternal great-grandmother, Rosetta Norris of Fostoria.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, at Spring Grove cemetery in Carey.

Melvin Lewayne Dull

Melvin Lewayne Dull, 91, 606 Miami St., Tiffin, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, in the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky.,

He was born Jan. 31, 1912, in Seneca County, to the late Robert and Dorothy (Bourman) Dull. His wife, Dorothy (Malone) Dull, whom he married May 4, 1932, in Ripley, N.Y., died Jan. 24, 1996.

Survivors include: a son, Richard M. (Carol) Dull of Tiffin; two daughters, Betty (Lyle) Francis of Henderson, Nev. and Kathy (Paul) Wise of Tiffin; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Donald and George Dull, both of Tiffin.

A son, Jerry Dull; a daughter, Donna Jean Dull; a foster daughter, Patricia Keller; a brother, Emert Dull; and a sister, Bessie Birch, also are deceased.

Mr. Dull, a self-employed businessman, retired in 1991 from Dull's Auto Parts. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Tiffin; the Eagles and the V.F.W.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113, with the Rev. David Culp officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today, April 4, at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County or a charity of the donor's choice in care of Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Laura G. Stout

Laura G. Stout, 84, of Friedman Village Retirement Community, Tiffin, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003. She was born August 23, 1919 to the late William and Jessie Ruth (Libengood) Gilbert. On January 13, 1940 she married Harold J. Stout, he died October, of 1988.

Surviving include: children, Mrs. Karen (Stephan) Shireman of Old Fort, Mrs. Claudia (Steven) Williams of Republic, Mr. David (Cinda) Stout of Green Springs; three brothers, John and Clarence Gilbert, both of Clyde, and Dale Gilbert of Fremont; a sister, Mary Lou Vickery of Clyde; grandchildren, Todd, Justin, Dawn and Jacob.

Preceded in death were: a sister, Evelyn Robison.

Mrs. Stout was a graduate of Green Springs High School. She worked as an LPN and Licensed Beautician, and was an accomplished gardener.

Services at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003 at the Engle-Young Funeral Home. Burial at Green Springs cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Juanita Magers will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Friedman Village Retirement Community.

George A. Thiel

George A. Thiel, 68. of 11636 TH 49, Upper Sandusky, died at 12:55 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003 in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center. He was born July 13, 1934 to the late Clarence and Ida E. (Rall) Thiel.

Surviving include: three sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Jane) Boehler of Tiffin, Mrs. James (Marilyn) Steyer of Lewis Center, OH., and Mrs. Francis (Helen) Brickner of Fostoria; by many nieces and nephews and close aunts and caregivers Grace Vent and Joan Rall.

Mr. Thiel was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer. A member of St. Peter Catholic Church: life member Knights of Columbus Lodge #2050, where he served as the Inner Guard Officer for many years; member Ohio Farmers Union and was a past member Wyandot County Sportsman's Club.

Preceded in death was a sister, Clara Heyman.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 5, 2003 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, with The Father James Holmer officiating. Burial at St. Peter Catholic cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., tonight, at the Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home. Biblical Wake Service to be held tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

William Wallace Wagner

William Wallace Wagner, 73, 88 Valleyview Place, Tiffin, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003, at his residence. He was born March 17, 1930 to the late John E. and Helen (Barger) Wagner. On Oct. 25, 1952 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin married Norma J. Werling, and she survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Dr. William Wagner of Vero Beach, FL., Michael A. Wagner of Tiffin, and Dr. Robert J. Wagner of Ft. Mitchell, KY.; two daughters, Patricia Traunero of Greer, S.C., and Sharon Frontz of Columbia S.C.; two brothers, John C. Wagner of Ashtabula, and Richard J. Wagner of Tiffin; three sisters, Mary L. Wagner of Tiffin, Eileen DeTray of McCutchenville, and Catherine Culichia of Ocala, FL; and six grandchildren.

Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2003 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial at St. Joseph cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

O. Eugene Baugher

O. Eugene Baugher, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Tiffin and Fostoria, died Monday, March 31, 2003 in Manatee Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born Jan. 28, 1923 in Tiffin to the late Glenn Carson and Dollie Ann (Sargent) Baugher. He married Esther Kinn, they later divorced. He then married Anita Waldron in Florida, she is also deceased.

Survived by: two sons, James "Jim" Baugher of Tucker, GA, and Bruce Baugher of Palmetto, FL; a sister, Vivian Blankenship of Tiffin; a brother, Richard Baugher of Tiffin: a longtime companion, Audrey Fletcher of Bradenton, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Baugher was a World War II Veteran.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at the Florida National Park cemetery in Bushnell, FL, on Monday, April 7, 2003.

Martha L. Meisner

Martha L. Meisner, 88, of 1835 S. TR 109, Tiffin, died at 7:36 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

She was born Dec. 11, 1914, in Seneca County to Eli and Minnie (Hunker) Bauman. They are both deceased. On April 9, 1933, she married Glenn M. Meisner in Shelby. He preceded her in death April 26, 1992.

Surviving are: a son, John P. (Jane) Meisner of rural Tiffin; a daughter, Donna J. Swain of Bascom; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two brothers, Ralph Bauman and Walter Bauman; and two sisters, Mary Kline and Orpha Bloom.

Mrs. Meisner was a homemaker and lifetime resident of Hopewell Township. She was a member of Bascom United Methodist Church, Crystal Ball Grandmothers Club 46 and the Tiffin Eagles Auxiliary for 49 years.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the Bascom United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hal Keeton and the Rev. Jenna Meisner officiating. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Turner Engle Funeral Home.

The Grandmothers Club will have an afternoon service at 4 p.m Monday at the funeral home and the Tiffin Eagle Auxiliary will have services 7 p.m Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bascom UMC or to the charity of the donor's choice.

George C. Wollenslegel

George C. Wollenslegel, 80, 655 Oakridge Ave., Wilmington, Ohio, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Seneca County to Emery and Bertha (Perrine) Wollenslegel. They are both deceased. On Nov. 13, 1948, he married Lois Jean (Warner) Wollenslegel. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Craig (Becky) Wollenslegel of Columbus; a daughter, Kay (Larry) Fisher of Wilmington; two brothers, John (Hilda) Wollenslegel of Clyde and Robert Wollenslegel of Bellevue; a sister, Lucy (Robert) Bowman of Bellevue; four grandchildren, Jennifer Daniels, Andrea Wollenslegel, Cole Wollenslegel and Cody Wollenslegel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Howard Wollenslegel.

Mr. Wollenslegel worked for Landmark/Countymark for 37 years and retired as CEO of Countymark, Inc.

Mr. Wollenslegel was a graduate of Tiffin University and Trustee Emeritus at Tiffin University, Chairman of the Board for seven years, active trustee from 1983-1996, and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree. He was a member of Wilmington F. & A.M. 52, past president of Wilmington Rotary and a member of Wilmington United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the Army/Air Force, serving during World War II.

The services will be at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Dean Feldmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 3274 N. South St., Wilmington, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Clinton County, 61 E. Main St., Wilmington, OH 45177.

Catherine M. Vogel

Catherine M. (Meier) Vogel, 98, formerly of 53 Walker St., Tiffin, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, in St. Francis Home, Tiffin.

She was born March 28, 1905, in Tiffin, to Pius and Lucy (Arendt) Warnement. They are deceased. On July 14, 1930, she married Alfred J. Meier in St. Mary Church in Tiffin. He preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1946. She married Lawrence J. Vogel on July 30, 1960, in St. Joseph Church, Tiffin. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1992.

Surviving are: two sons, James A. Meier of Defiance and Gerald "Jerry" J. Meier of Waverly; two daughters, Phyllis M. Wurm of Republic and Mrs. Thomas (Mary Ellen) Zahn of Tiffin; a step-daughter, Sister Eileen Marie Vogel, OSU, Toledo; two sisters, Virginia Ring of Lancaster and Esther Kuebler of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were: four brothers, Howard Warnement, Marion Warnement, Justin Warnement and Cecil Warnement; three sisters, Olive Smith, Ruth Ring, and Mary Warnement; a grandchild, Linda K. Wurm; and a son-in-law, Urban Wurm.

She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and Tiffin Business University. Mrs. Vogel was a seamstress in her home for many years and worked as head seamstress at LaSalle's Department Store. She also worked at United Insurance Service for 15 years as a bookkeeper.

She was a charter member of St. Francis Auxiliary, member of St. Mary Catholic Ladies of Columbia, former member of St. Joseph Women's choir and a member of St. Joseph Church.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at St. Joseph Church with the Revs. James K. Say and Daniel Ring concelebrating. A Rosary service will be 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Linda K. Wurm Memorial Scholarship, Calvert Foundation, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
