M. June Dendy
(1924 - 2004)

HILLSDALE, Mich. - M. June Dendy, 80, of Hillsdale, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at her home.
Born April 28, 1924, at Williams County, Ohio, to Dottie (Ziegler) and Ruben Kosier, she married Thomas Dendy on June 31, 1943, and he preceded her in death in 1969.
The former owner of Snow White Cleaners in Junction City, Kan. for 17 years, she had worked at Ohio Art in Bryan, Ohio, she leased the Stockyard Restaurant at the Hillsdale fairgrounds, was a former cook at TomÕs Donuts and had worked at the Bavarian Inn and Days Inn Hotels.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. William (Dottie) Pauley of Osseo and Nancy Daniels of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Terry Dendy and Connie Fedosuk of Hillsdale and Danny Gabbard of Kansas City; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents and a brother, Norm Kosier. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, Ohio, with Pastor Paul Pickell to officiate.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hillsdale.

C. Jeannie Lehman
(1939 - 2004)

DEFIANCE - Carolyn Jeannie Lehman, 65, of Defiance, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at the Defiance Regional Medical Center.
Born June 14, 1939, in Napoleon, to Henrietta (Hockman) and Otto Sehlmeyer, she married James L. Lehman in 1957 and he preceded her in death in 2000.
Employed at Chief Supermarket until retirement in 2000, she was a volunteer at the Defiance Regional Medical Center and Slocum School Host program. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the P. Buckley Moss Society.
Surviving are three sons, Jay Lehman of Rossford, Kirk Lehman of Defiance and Dan Lehman of Defiance; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Kelly) Rogliatti of Defiance; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Sehlmeyer of New Baltimore, Mich.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Donald L. Luhring to officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
Memorials may be made to Defiance County Hospice.

Brian C. Gendron
(1977 - 2004)

OSSEO, Mich. - Brian C. Gendron, 27, of Osseo, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, from injuries sustained at his workplace in Jackson.
Born May 4, 1977, in Coldwater, Mich., to Barbara (Headley) and William Gendron, he married Jessica Shannon in 2003, and she survives.
A 1995 graduate of Camden-Frontier High School, he had played football for four years and was on the track team. He was employed at Alro Steel Co. in  Jackson where he worked as a foreman. He was a life member of the N.R.A.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Olivia; a stepdaughter, Bridget DeMoor; his mother, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Hahn of Temperance; his father, William (and wife, Diana) Gendron of Pioneer, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Robert and Joyce Gendron; maternal grandmother, Onalea Smith; and maternal grandfather, Carl Headly, all of Camden; a brother, Chad Gendron of Camden; stepbrother, Joshua Hahn of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a stepsister, Kara Hahn of St. Louis; and a niece, Toree Gendron of Grass Lake.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Kurtz Funeral Home, 3380 W. Carleton Road, Hillsdale.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family for a trust fund to be established for the children.

Ina M. Baldwin
(1908 - 2004)

Ina M. Baldwin, 96, of Bryan and formerly of Midland, Mich., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio-Bryan.
Born March 26, 1908, at Rosebush, Mich., to Lizzie (Raymond) and George Anderson, she married William John Baldwin on Nov. 21, 1925, at Midland, Mich., and he preceded her in death in 1982. A homemaker, she was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Midland.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Baldwin of AuGres, Mich.; daughters, Dawn Brown of Jackson, Mich., Linda Coy of Bryan and Mrs. Herb (Diane) Ripke of Houghton Lake, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Elton (and wife, Edna) Anderson of Clare, Mich.; sisters, Mrs. Ken (Alma) Harshey of Florida and Mrs. Ernie (Betty) Myers of Pinconning, Mich.; and special friend and prayer partner, Marge Justice of Midland, Mich.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her daughters, Betty Jane Altman and Bonnie Lou Crouse.
A celebration of life was held Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Calvary Baptist Church, Midland, Mich., with the Rev. Dan Dickerson officiating. Committal took place at 2 p.m. in the Midland Cemetery.

Bernard J. Westrick
(1911 - 2005)

DEFIANCE - Bernard J. Westrick, 93, of Defiance, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 2, 2005, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio-Bryan.
Born Jan. 11, 1911, in Defiance, to Anna (Ashbacher) and Jacob Westrick, he married Helen M. Singer in 1937 and she preceded him in death in 1985.
A farmer, he had also worked at General Motors. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Defiance and a past member of the K of C, St. Vincent DePaul Society and St. Boniface Society.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. James (Roseann) Nusbaum of Sherwood, Mrs. Gene (Carolyn) Folsum of Stark, Fla., Rita Stoeffer of Defiance, Mrs. Ron (Madonna) Lingvai of Edgerton; three sons, George Westrick, Joseph Westrick and William Westrick, all of Defiance; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Kime of Defiance; and a brother, Francis Westrick of Defiance.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Bernard Jr.; a granddaughter; five sisters, Corrine Boff, Julie Ryan, Dorothy Swary, Sister Frances DeSales and Mary Westrick; and three brothers, John T. Westrick, Vincent Westrick and Quinten Westrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Defiance Senior Center or to St. John Catholic Church.

Alma J. "Jean" Buell
(1940 - 2005)

SHERWOOD - Alma J. "Jean" Buell, 64, of Sherwood, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at her residence.
Born April 23, 1940, at East Stone Gap, Va., to Myrtle Mae (Wilson) and Dutton Hood Sr., she married Kenneth Buell on Nov. 29, 1964, and he survives.
A housewife and a domestic, she attended Continental Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Phillip Buell of Kalida; a daughter, Mrs. Russ (Angela) Hearne of Defiance; two grandchildren; a brother, Dutton Hood Jr. of Cecil; and two sisters, Mary Eldridge of Ayersville and Lois Kinsler of Big Stone Gap, Va.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, James and Lynal Hood; and a sister, Shirley Buell.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Denny Hunter and the Rev. John Hall to officiate. Burial will be in Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood.
Memorials may be made to the Continental Missionary Baptist Church Project Fund.
