Commercial Bank retiree

Carmel E. Huth, 86, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, where she resided.

She was born in Fostoria, Aug. 9, 1912, to Vincent A. and Sarah A. (Werner) Huth.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Jeanette) Frederick of Lorain and Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Holderman of Fostoria.

Two brothers, Richard V. and Robert G. Huth; and a sister, Madeline A. Huth, are deceased.

Miss Huth retired in 1978, as an employee, from the Commercial Bank in Fostoria, after 50 years of employment.

A 1930 St. Wendelin High School graduate, she was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria and the Fostoria Womens Club and a former member of the Fostoria BPW and Daughters of Isabella.

A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the rosary recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, where a Christian Wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Linda Hartschuh
Guardian Industries employee

Linda Hartschuh, 46, of 228 1/2 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, at her mother's residence in rural Sycamore.

She was born in Tiffin, April 11, 1952, the daughter of Herman S. and Mary Ellen (Creeger) Hartschuh. Her mother survives in rural Sycamore.

Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Courtney Hartschuh of rural Sycamore; two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Dola) Loose of rural Sycamore and Bette Hartschuh of Findlay; and four brothers, Tim and Brad Hartschuh, both of rural Tiffin, Rick Hartschuh of Upper Sandusky and Jed Hartschuh of rural Sycamore.

Her father is deceased.

A 1970 graduate of Mohawk High School, Ms. Hartschuh was employed at Guardian Industries in Upper Sandusky.

She was a member of Sycamore United Church of Christ, Women of the Moose 1045, Upper Sandusky, and served as a volunteer with the Junior Bowling League in Upper Sandusky for many years.

Services in Sycamore United Church of Christ will be 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Edgar W. Shelly officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View cemetery, Sycamore.

Visitation at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, is after 2 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House and Hospice of Wyandot County.

Betty June Morgan
Fostoria homemaker

Betty June Morgan, 50, of Perry Street, Fostoria, died at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998, in Fostoria Community Hospital of natural causes.

She was born in Columbus, July 1, 1948, to Clarence H. and Rosemary (Overstreet) Porter. Her father survives in Ft. Myers, Fla. Her husband, the Rev. Jerry L. Morgan, whom she married March 1, 1970, in Pataskala, survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jared B. and Micah J. Morgan, both of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Deborah K.) Mertz of Louisville, Ky. and Mary Christine "Christy" Morgan of Fostoria; a brother, Daniel Porter of Bexley; two sisters, Mrs. James (Mary Kay) Scott of Westerville and Mrs. John (Saundra) Insley of Carey; and two grandchildren.

Her mother is deceased.

Mrs. Morgan, a homemaker and pastor's wife, was a 1966 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School, Columbus. She attended the Ohio State University and graduated from the Christ For The Nations Institute, Dallas, Texas.

A member of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Fostoria, she was the director of the Pregancy Distress Center in Fostoria.

Private family graveside services will be in Fountain cemetery, Fostoria.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Foursquare Gospel Church, followed by a time of visitation and fellowship.

Memorials may be made to the Foursquare Gospel Church, 205 W. Lytle St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.

The Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in charge of arrangements.

William C. Dacey
Eaglewood Care Center resident

William C. Dacey, 76, formerly of Perrysburg and Toledo, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998, in Eaglewood Care Center, Carey, where he resided. Arrangements are pending at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.

Raymond William Dickman
Retired farmer

Raymond William Dickman, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at his residence at Sandusky CR 212, Fremont, following an illness of several years.

He was born in Riley Township, Sandusky County, April 7, 1919, to Frank J. and Josephine (Durnwald) Dickman. On Jan. 20, 1944, he married La Donna Swartzmiller. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Tom and Gary Dickman, both of Fremont, and Rich Dickman of Clyde; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Taylor of Clyde, Annette Smith of Fremont and Elena Kerstetter of Wakeman; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. John (Loretta) Meyer and Mrs. Roy (Ann Rose) Knowles, both of Clyde and Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Fox of Bellevue; two brothers, Leo Dickman of Fremont and Frank Dickman of Clyde.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Bernard, Robert and Paul Dickman; and a sister, Mary Dickman.

A lifetime rural Fremont area resident, Mr. Dickman was a retired self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde.

A funeral Mass in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Vine Street, Clyde, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. William I. Richler, officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where a Christian Wake service will be at 9 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Endowment Fund.

Jacqueline D. Hofacker
Self-employed beautician

Jacqueline D. Hofacker, 67, of 588 W. Adams St., Green Springs, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, in Providence Hospital, Erie County, Sandusky.

She was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Fremont, to the late Elmer and Ruth (Kern) Owen. Her husband, William E. Hofacker, whom she married Dec. 9, 1951, in Fremont, is deceased.

Surviving are a son, Rick Hofacker of Green Springs; two daughters, Suzette Gibbs of Anaheim Hills, Calif. and Stephanie Black of Green Springs; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Joyce Wolfe of Lakeland, Fla. and Janet Eckelberry of Tiffin.

A brother, Virgil Owen; and a sister, Norma Preisman, are deceased.

Mrs. Hofacker, a 1948 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, was a self-employed beautician.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont; the Sandusky American Legion Auxiliary and the Moose, Eagles and VFW Auxiliaries, all of Clyde.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont, with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs.

Memorials may be made to Mooseheart, in care of the funeral home.

Gerald J. 'Jerry' Reinhart
Retired Cooper Tire supevisor

Former Findlay resident, Gerald J. "Jerry" Reinhart, 49, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998, in the Eaglewood Care Center, Carey, where he resided.

He was born in Tiffin, Dec. 19, 1948, to Donald W. and Anna C. (Martin) Reinhart. They survive in Carey. He was married to Laura Parker, and they were divorced.

Survivors also include: a daughter, Beth Ann Reinhart of Columbus; two sons, Scott Reinhart of Columbus and Jeffrey Reinhart of Findlay; three sisters, Mrs. Tim (Kathy) Bradford of Findlay, Mary Jane Reinhart of Carey and Mrs. Daniel (Janet) Elling of Huston, Texas; and a brother, Richard "Rick" Reinhart of Novi, Mich.

A brother, William "Chillie" Reinhart, preceded him in death.

Mr. Reinhart retired in March 1993 as a supervisor from Cooper Tire Co. in Findlay, where he was a member of its 25 Year Club.

He also was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey; the Keestone Kops, Skeeter Swatters Camp Club and the National Campers and Bikers Club.

The Rev. Peter Damian Massengill will be the celebrant at the 11 a.m. Wednesday Mass of Christian Burial in the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Carey.

Visitation at the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey, will be 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, where a Rosary Devotion service will be led, at 2 p.m., by the Rosary Altar Society and a Vigil service will be 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Group of Wyandot County or Franciscan Missions, in care of the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, Ohio, 43316-1169.

Tulah I. Loescher
Former Red Cross executive director

Tulah I. Loescher, 80, 85 Oil St., died at 1:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, in the Autumnwood Care Center, where she had resided for six and a half months.

She was born in Pineville, La., Aug. 6, 1918, to Corray and Sadie Mae (Payne) Ellis Parker. On July 9, 1944, in Baton Rouge, La., she married Arthur W. Loescher. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1989.

Surviving are: two sons, Arthur P. Loescher of Amelia and Mark W. Loescher of Galion; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Janis) Marks of Tiffin and Miss Martha Loescher of Columbus; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Donna O'Neil, and two brothers, Col. Carl and Thomas Parker.

Mrs. Loescher had been employed as a former weekday education teacher and executive director of the American Red Cross.

A member of Faith Baptist Chapel and the Royal Neighbors of America, she was a 1936 graduate of Istrouma High School and attended Louisiana State University and Baton Rouge Business College.

Services in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Thomas Claus officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home is 2-4 p.m. today and one hour before the service on Monday.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Vincent C. Theis
New Riegel businessman

Former New Riegel resident, Vincent C. Theis, 92, a resident of St. Francis Home since 1984, died at 7:16 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, in the Emergency Care Center of Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

He was born in New Riegel, April 20, 1906, to Joseph and Sophia (Wagner) Theis.

Survivors include: a nephew, Walter Theis of Roseville, Minn.; a grand-nephew and grand-niece; and many cousins in the Tiffin/New Riegel area.

Two brothers, Milton and Herman Theis, are also deceased.

Mr. Theis, a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, retired as the owner/operator, for many years, of the Theis Coal and Building Supply Company in New Riegel.

A member of Moose Lodge 872 for 65 years and the Catholic Knights of Ohio 52 for 55 years, both of New Riegel, he was a graduate of St. Wendelin High School and attended Heidelberg College.

The Rev. Leonard Kistler will be the celebrant at the 10 a.m. Tuesday Funeral Mass in St. Boniface Catholic Church, where the Rosary will be recited at 9:45 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, with the Catholic Knights of Ohio Rosary service at 8 p.m. followed by a Parish Wake service at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Catholic Knights of Ohio Vocation Education Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.

Mildred B. 'Pat' Welker
Fostoria homemaker

Mildred B. "Pat" Welker, 88, died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, where she resided. Arrangements are pendingat the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Dorothy J. Sutter
Recreation/trucking co-owner/secretary

Dorothy J. Sutter, 79, of North Main Street, Clyde, died in Fremont Memorial Hospital Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998.

She was born Jan. 11, 1919, in Vickery, to Grant and Goldie (Ruddick) Gardner. On Oct. 28, 1939, she married Richard J. Sutter, and he survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, John W. Sr. and Brian Sutter, both of Clyde; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Patricia) McGlothen of Bellevue and Mrs. Thomas (Linda) Dull of Elyria; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lillian Robinson.

Preceding her in death were a son, Larry in 1958; two brothers, Robert and Charles Gardner; and a grandson.

Mrs. Sutter, a 1936 graduate of Ross High School, had been employed as a secretary for Howard Zinc and was the co-owner of Clyde Recreation and Sutter Trucking.

A lifetime resident of the Clyde area and an avid bingo player, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde and its Altar Rosary Society.

A funeral Mass in St. Mary's Catholic Church, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Patrick Rohen as celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, where a Christian Wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Sandusky County Hospice, South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio 43410 or the American Cancer Society.

Robert G. Bose
Security supervisor

Robert G. Bose, 72, of Parkway Avenue, Clyde, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.

He was born in Bellevue, March 11, 1926, to Lloyd and Cora (Pocock) Bose.

Survivors include: three sons, David Bose of Yakima, Wash., Dennis Bose of Clyde and Robert Bose Jr. of Eugene, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Janet) Layhaw of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Mrs. Kristine Lokey of Lavergne, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A sister, Ruth Schiller, also is deceased.

Mr. Bose, who received his education in the York Schools, had been employed as a security supervisor.

A member of the Clyde Eagles, he had returned to the Clyde area from Washington State, where he had resided.

Private family services will be at a later date. Interment will be in McPherson cemetery, Clyde.

There will be no visitation. The Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, Clyde, is in charge of arrangements.
