Dorothea E. Teegardin
(1917-2005)
AMILTON, Ind. - Dorothea E. Teegardin, 87, of Hamilton, Ind., died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn.
Born April 20, 1917, at Metz, Ind., to Eva and Ray Kogin, she married Orville D. Teegardin on Dec. 24, 1936, and he preceded her in death.
She had run a beauty shop and was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church and American Bell Association.
Surviving are two sons, Edwin (and wife, Peg) Teegardin of Hamilton and Norm (Margo) Teegardin of Bonita Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Annetta Teegardin of Auburn; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Nancy Irene Teegardin.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Hamilton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Teegardin Cemetery near Hamilton.
Memorials may be made to either Hamilton UMC or Youth For Christ.
Maude S. Russell
(1914-2004)
Maude S. Russell, 90, formerly of Bryan, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at the Nurses Helping Hands Inc. of Dunedin, Fla.
Born in 1914, at Bryan, to Beulah and Rollie Stuller, she married Bryan native Robert Russell and he preceded her in death in 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (and wife, Emily) Russell and Terry (Barbara) Russell; three granddaughters, Mrs. Gary (Christi) Glenn, Megan Russell and Kim Russell; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Zoey Glenn, all of Florida. Surviving locally are a brother, Robert F. Stuller of Bryan, and a sister, Margaret L. Dills of Stryker.
Georgia E. Pratt
(1923-2004)
MONTPELIER - Georgia E. Pratt, 81, of Montpelier, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Montpelier.
Born June 30, 1923, at Arnett, W. Va., she was the daughter of Louise and William Cook.
Surviving are her husband, Dewey; sons, Roger (and wife, Wanda) Nelson and Danny (Linda) Nelson; daughters, Mrs. Dave (Carol) Sawyer, Mrs. Tim (Anna) Shelton and Mrs. Jerry (Brenda) Shelton; 12 stepchildren; 39 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held today from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. in the H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Road (at Alexis), Toledo.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Carmen Brenner
(1928-2004)
FAYETTE - Doris M. Stamm Ebersole, 76, of Fayette, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2004, at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 27, 1928, near Archbold, to Elsie (Nofzinger) and Simon Short, she married Franklin Stamm on Sept. 7, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1965. She married Lavoyd 'Bud' Ebersole on Dec. 19, 1969, and he survives.
A resident of the Fayette area since 1969, she worked at Lauber Manufacturing, Montgomery Wards, Hit Archery, Fayette Tubular and Archbold Container. She was a member of Solid Rock Community Church in West Unity.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Terry Stamm of Fayette, Curtis (and wife, Kay) Stamm of Archbold and Sammy (Joy) Stamm of Lewis Center; four daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Dianna) Nafziger of Goshen, Ind., Mrs. Larry (Donna) Thompson of West Unity, Susie Stamm and Mrs. James (Judith) Estel, both of Archbold; two stepsons, Lyle Ebersole and Loyal Ebersole, both of Fayette; 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; three brothers, Walter (Shirley) Short of Archbold, Herbert (Arlene) Short of Topeka, Ind. and Roger (Doris) Short of Archbold; five sisters, Grace Brenneman of Goshen, Ind., Bessie Emch of Whitehouse, Mrs. Kenneth (Ada) Short of Archbold, Mrs. Ray (Herma) Gnagey of Pigeon, Mich. and Helen Holsopple of Sarasota, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Arthur Short and Harold Short.
Visitation will be held today from 2-9 p.m. in the Solid Rock Community Church, West Unity.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastors Mike Beasley and Dale Wyse to officiate. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Short Funeral Home, Archbold, is in charge of the arrangements.

Leona May Gullyes
(1929-2005)
DEFIANCE - Leona May Gullyes, 75, of Defiance, died Jan. 1, 2005, at her residence.
Born May 24, 1929, at Wirt, Okla., to Anna May (Snow) and James Foster, she married Harper Gullyes on Nov. 26, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1996.
She had been employed as a waitress and office worker and was a member of the Butler Eagles Post No. 2733.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Margaret) Davis of Williams Center.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the Burr Funeral Home & Crematory-Bryan.
Funeral services were to be held today at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Max Begley to officiate. Burial will follow in Shiffler Cemetery located near Pulaski.
Memorials may be made to Hospice, The Caring Way, of Defiance.
Carmen Brenner
(1915-2004)
Carmen S. Brenner, 89, of Bryan, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at Harborside Healthcare, Bryan.
Born Feb. 23, 1915, at Ney, to Sadie (Hanna) and Earl Rollins, she married Harold J. Brenner on June 16, 1934, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
A member of the First Church of Christ, the Dorcas Circle and the Mary Martha Circle, she had worked at several places over the years, including Ohio Art and Ruth Restaurant. She had also volunteered for GALA.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earles (Marcia) Schmucker of West Unity and Mrs. Duane (Marlene) Fox of Bryan; four grandchildren, Jon (and wife, Sue) Fox of Dayton, Julie Fox of Fort Wayne, Ind., Timothy (Vicki) Schmucker of Blissfield, Mich. and Todd (Stephanie) Schmucker of Stryker; and four great-grandsons.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Merlin Rollins; and two sisters, Beulah Paxton and Velma Merillat.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Burr Funeral Home and Crematory, Bryan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Snavely to officiate. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery, Pulaski.
Memorials may be made to First Church of Christ, Gideons International or the donor's choice.
