Former Wyandot County resident

Dale C. Jump, 87, of Ocala, FL, died Dec. 14, 1998, at the Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala, FL. He was born in Wyandot County.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty J. Jump of Ocala, FL; two sons, Dr. Clifford O. Jump of Okemos, MI, and Richard D. Jump of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Judith Ann Powers of Harrod; a brother, Everett Jump of St. Mary's; a sister, Lois Rowe of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Agnes M. (Walton) Grady
Fairhaven resident

Agnes M. (Walton) Grady, 85, formerly of rural Wharton, more recently of Fairhaven Community since 1994, died at 8:22 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998. She was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Wyandot County to Elmer and Grace (Grummel) Everhart. Her first husband was Daniel E. Walton, whom she married Jan. 4, 1937, They were married for more than 50 years. She then married Ralph Grady. Both husbands preceded her in death.

Surviving include: three sons, Lewis E. Walton of Carey, Phillip E. Walton of Upper Sandusky, and Delbert E. Walton of Mt. Blanchard; a daughter, Mrs. James (Lois A.) McCracken of Englewood, FL; a brother, Ray Everhart of Upper Sandusky; two sisters, Mrs. Darrel (Christine) Swinehart of Upper Sandusky, and Mrs. (Anna Jane) Martin of Nevada; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were: a son, Joe E. Walton; a daughter, Lucille B. Lambert; two brothers, Bill and Donald Everhart; and two granddaughters.

Mrs. Walton-Grady graduated from Sycamore High School in 1932. She was a homemaker and cook at the Wharton School for many years. Her memberships included: St. Paul United Methodist Church, Vanlue; 4-H advisor for 30 years of the Wharton Busy Bees; Wyandot County Farm Bureau; Sunday School Teacher at Big Oak United Methodist Church & Beech Grove United Methodist Church; Volunteered at the Wharton Community Festival; and the Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and crafts.

The Rev. Joseph Searfoss will officiate the 2 p.m. service, Sunday, Dec. 20, at the Bringman-Clark & Co. Funeral Home. Burial will be at Smithville cemetery of rural Upper Sandusky.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the 4-H Endowment Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Gordon E. Ball
Retired Chrysler millwright

Former 46 Fairfield Ave. resident, Gordon E. Ball, 71, of 5271 W. Liberty TR 156, Kansas, was killed in a traffic accident in Huron County, US 224 west of Willard, at 7:59 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998.

He was born in West Lodi, July 27, 1927, to John Bernard and Grace Ellen (Moyer) Ball. On April 7, 1950, in St. John's United Church of Christ, Tiffin, he married Anna L. Kirchner. She preceded him in death Oct. 31, 1985.

Survivors include: a son, Alan E. Ball of Kansas, with whom he had resided for the past five years; two grandchildren; Alan E. Ball Jr. and Charlotte Dunfee; a brother, William Ball of Bucyrus; and two sisters, Evelyn Reitz of Bucyrus and Gladys Lennhoff of Fremont.

Also preceding him in death were his son, Robert E. Ball, daughter-in-law and her children, who was killed in the same traffic accident; six brothers, Ardra "Art," John, Howard, James, Clifford and Leonard Ball; and three sisters, Mildred Gruhn, Myrtle Ball and Etta Williams.

Mr. Ball, a U.S. Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict, retired as a millwright from the Chrysler Plant in Fostoria. He later worked as a security guard at Premier Services Corp in Bettsville.

A graduate of Townsend High School, Vickery, he was a member of the Tiffin American Legion, where he had served as commander for several years and also was very active as a Boy Scout leader for 15 years.

Pastor Herbert T. Hill will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Tuesday service in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens, where military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veteran's Council.

Visitation at the funeral home is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and one hour before the service on Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Robert Ball
Factory worker

Robert Ball, 40, 97 Gail Lane, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, in a traffic accident on on U.S. 224, west of Willard.

He was born in Seneca County, Sept. 11, 1958, to the late Gordon E. and Ann L. (Kirchner) Ball. His wife, Dara (Fawver) Ball, whom he married in June 1997, and his father were killed in the same traffic accident.

A brother, Alan Ball of Kansas, Ohio, survives.

Two step-daughters, Kira R. and Kaleena D. Fawver, also were killed in the same traffic accident.

Mr. Ball was a factory worker.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, with Elder Tim Bash officiating. Burial will be in Thompson cemetery, Orange Township.

Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dara Fawver Ball
Medical assistant for Dr. Garli Patti

Dara Fawver Ball, 38, 97 Gail Lane, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, in a traffic accident on U.S. 224 west of Willard.

She was born in Findlay, Dec. 23, 1959, the daughter of Harold G. and Clara B. (Black) Yoder. They both survive in Findlay. In June 1997, she married Robert Ball, who was killed in the same traffic accident.

A brother, Dodd Yoder of Toledo, also survives.

Preceding her in death were an infant son; and two daughters, Kira R. and Kaleena D. Fawver, who both died in the same traffic accident.

Mrs. Ball, a member of the Restoration Tabernacle Church of Christ, Findlay, was employed as a medical assistant for Dr. Garli Patti in Tiffin.

Services in the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Elder Tim Bash officiating. Interment will be in Thompson cemetery, Orange Township.

Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Ball and Fawver families, in care of the Restoration Tabernacle Church of Christ, Findlay.

Kaleena Darath Fawver
Patrick-Henry 10th grader

Kaleena Darath Fawver, 16, of 2562 Road B, Leipsic, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, in a traffic accident on U.S. 224 west of Willard.

She was born Nov. 18, 1982, in Bluffton, to James R. Fawver III and Dara Yoder Ball. Her father and step-mother, Lori Fawver, survive in Leipsic.

Other survivors include: her step-maternal grandparents, Dick and Ruth Wallace of Crawfordsville, Ind.; paternal grandfather, James Fawver II of Findlay; maternal grandparents, Harold and Clara Yoder, also of Findlay; a step-brother, Daniel Haniford of Leipsic; and a step-sister, Sarah Haniford, also of Leipsic.

Her mother was killed in the same traffic accident.

Miss Fawver, a 10th grade student at Patrick-Henry High School, was a member of the Restoration Tabernacle Church of Christ, Findlay and the Findlay Young Miss Softball.

Elder Tim Bash will be the officiant at the 11 a.m. Wednesday service in the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Burial will be in Thompson cemetery, Orange Township.

Visitation will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Ball and Fawver Families, in care of the Restoration Tabernacle Church of Christ, Findlay.

Kira Ray Fawver
Sixth grade student

Kira Ray Fawver, 11, of 2562 Road B, Leipsic, died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, in a traffic accident on U.S. 224 west of Willard.

She was born in Virginia, Jan. 19, 1987, to James R. Fawver III and Dara Yoder Ball. Her father and step-mother, Lori Fawver, survive in Leipsic.

Survivors also include her step-maternal grandparents, Dick and Ruth Wallace of Crawsfordville, Ind.; paternal grandfather, James Fawver II of Findlay; maternal grandparents, Harold and Clara Yoder, also of Findlay; a step-brother, Daniel Haniford of Leipsic; and a step-sister, Sarah Haniford, also of Leipsic.

Kira, a sixth grade student at Deshler Elementary School, was a member of Findlay Young Miss Softball and the Restoration Tabernacle Church of Christ, Findlay.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, with Elder Tim Bash officiating. Burial will be in Thompson cemetery, Orange Township.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Vera Alma Seibel
Retired bookkeeper

Vera Alma Seibel, 85, formerly of Mansfield and Minerva, died at 12:38 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, in St. Francis Home, Tiffin.

She was born in Cleveland, May 3, 1913, to Anthony and Mary (Koenig) Schustrich. Her husband, Rudolph G. Seibel Sr., whom she married June 11, 1942, in Cleveland, died Sept. 20, 1974.

Surviving are three sons, Rudolph George Seibel Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., Ronald Gene Seibel of Sylvania and Robert Gary Seibel of Mansfield; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Seibel, a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Cleveland, retired as a bookkeeper from the Perskey and Wolf Co., Alliance. She also had worked for O'Neals in Alliance and the May Company in Cleveland.

A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28 in St. Francis Home Chapel, 182 St. Francis Ave., with the Rev. Richard Dunn as celebrant. Burial will be 2:30 p.m., Dec. 28 in Fairmont Memorial Park, Alliance.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the Chapel on Monday, Dec. 28.

Memorials may be made to St. Francis Home, 182 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, OH 44883.

Martin White Eagle Bird Jr.
Webster Mfg. Co. retiree

Martin White Eagle Bird Jr., 76, 104 Apple St., died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, in the Wade Park VA Hospital, Cuyahoga County, Cleveland, where he had been a patient for four months.

He was born in Tiffin, Feb. 4, 1922, to Martin White Eagle Sr. and Mary Ann (Scheer) Bird. On Feb. 7, 1942, in Tiffin, he married Rachel Pauline Whitmer, who survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald E. and Richard W. Bird, both of Tiffin; four daughters, Norma J. Bird, Mrs. Michael (Claudia E.) Scholl and Paula E. Bird, all of Tiffin and Mrs. Michael (Alana M.) Burton of Akron; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Margaret Metcalf of Tiffin.

Preceding him in death were two infant daughters, Virginia and Ann Bird; and a half-brother, Henry Philip Caudell.

Mr. Bird, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, retired as a molder from Webster Manufacturing Company.

He had lived his entire life in Tiffin.

Services in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Jan Kucera officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before the services on Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurses.

Abner C. May

Abner C. May, 79, died at 2:43 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at his residence at 8904 High St., McCutchenville. Arrangements are pending at the Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey.

Everett H. Meade
Rural Green Springs resident

Everett H. Meade, 58, of 8499 E. TR 178, Green Springs, died at his homeSunday, Dec. 20, 1998. Arrangements are pending at the Engle-Young Funeral Home of Green Springs.

Leota K. Brady
Tiffin homemaker

Leota K. Brady, 79, formerly of 171 Melmore St., died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born in Bellwood, Pa., Feb. 10, 1919, to Frank and Abiline (Corrothers) Baker. On April 11, 1938, in St. Sebastian Church, Akron, she married Robert S. Brady, who preceded her in death May 15, 1992.

Surviving are: three sons, Robert T. Brady of Defiance, Dennis M. and Patrick J. Brady, both of Tiffin; three daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Mary Lou) Kern of Findlay, Mrs. Dale (Anne) Schonmaker of Toledo and Mrs. Richard (Margaret T.) Baird of Marion; two sisters-in-law, whom Mrs. Brady raised, Eleanor Wilson of Spokane, Wash., and Maggie Hasselkus of Toledo; six sisters, Ethel West of Oxnard, Calif., Violet Klein of Altoona, Pa., Dorothy Syster of Bellwood, Pa., Belva Nicholes of Vermont, Verna Gault of Salem and Naomi Lawrence of Gilbert, Ariz.; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Eight brothers, Cleo, Chester, Harold, Clifford, Audley, Frank, Kenneth and Leonard, and two sisters, Helen and Marian, are also deceased.

Mrs. Brady, a high school graduate and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was a homemaker and nanny.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home. Burial will be in in St. Joseph cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 9 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Support Group of Tiffin or a charity of the donor's choice.

Annabelle Brickner
Fostoria Industries retiree/homemaker

Annabelle Brickner, 74, of 752 Eastern Ave., Fostoria, died in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, at 2:42 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998.

She was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Seneca County, to Benjamin and Clara (King) Berrier. Her husband, Edmund A. Brickner, whom she married Sept. 7, 1946, in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Liberty Township, survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: three sons, Ronald Brickner of Walbridge, Brian and Chris Brickner, both of Fostoria; a daughter, Denise Woosley of Fostoria; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Benjamin Berrier of Tiffin; and five sisters, Geraldine Sheldon, Mary Lang and Estella Kelbley, all of Tiffin, Florence Williams of Findlay and Lucille Studer of New Washington.

Preceding her in death were: a grandchild, Brad Brickner; a brother, John Berrier; and a sister, Margrette Harshman.

A homemaker, Mrs. Brickner retired in 1977 from Fostoria Industries.

She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.

A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rosary recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the church.
