Rick D. Norris, age 53, Friday February 3, 2006 at Monterey Care Center. Rick was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 28, 1952 to Paul and Patricia (Mavis) Norris. A graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Rick was a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He started his career with Mader Funeral Home in Circleville. In 1979 he moved to Columbus and became an associate with Schoedinger Funeral Service. He was a member of Columbia Heights United Methodist Church, Hilltop Kiwanis, Professional Car Society, and was a former member of OFDA and OEA. Survived by wife Billie S. Norris; daughter Courtney Maria (Joshua L.) Clay; parents Paul and Patricia Norris; sisters Teresa (David) Friend and Charlesa (Jeff) Canter; niece Erin Canter; mother-in-law Marguerite Martin Shelton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service 10:30 am Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 310 E. Main St., Circleville. Rev. Michael Messick officiating. Donald Hambleton
Donald "Casey" Hambleton, age 73 of Upper Arlington, passed away Saturday, April 01, 2006 at his residence, after a 10 month courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born October 4, 1932 in Canton, Ohio to the late Donald and Ruth (Casey) Hambleton. Casey was preceded in death by his children: Donald C. Hambleton, II and Mary Beth Hambleton. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Maggie Hambleton; daughter and son-in-law: Dawn and Martin Campbell; 4 granddaughters: Christa, Megan, Kelly and Lauren; sister and brother-in-law: Lynn and Ronald Lehner; many other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Casey was a MAI, SRA Member, Appraisal Institute; CRE, Counselor of Real Estate; and was Chairman of the Board of Hambleton, Inc. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6:30-7:30 P.M. Lois Krafft Lois Krafft, age 74, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at her home. Lois was a graduate of South High School and was retired from Shoe Corp. of America. She was an avid bowler and member of Christ Lutheran Church. Survived by sister, Charlotte Davis; nieces and nephews, Tracy (Randy) Frank, Toni (Kyle) O’Reilly, Jude Davis, Lisa Davis, Matthew (Tracey) Davis, Patrick (Beth) Davis and special cousin, Marie Elkins. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Graveside service will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E. Main St. Bexley, OH 43209.

Janice Louise Salzgaber Janice Salzgaber age 81 a resident of Columbus, died Sunday, October 4, 2009. She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and enjoyed many wonderful times with her family. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, retired from Riverside Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Charles E. Salzgaber, parents Wesley and Bernice Smith and faithful kitty companion Chilly. Survived by her daughters Alice Salzgaber, Terri (Kevin) Michael, Nancy (John ) Carr, grandkids David and Brett, sister Donna Drushal, many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Funeral service will be Friday at 10 AM with Pastor Steve Watchman officiating. Burial will follow in Union cemetery.

Mr. George Robert Brady

George R. Brady, 73, of Columbus, formerly of Circleville, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 at Mt. Carmel East. He was born March 12, 1936 in Canton, the son of the late Frank and Earleen
(Clark) Brady. He was retired from Everts Middle School where he had been a custodian. George enjoyed watching football and old movies. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Copley) in 1994; and a brother, Harold Brady.
He is survived by his children, Maria (Joseph B.) Gumm of Chillicothe, Rob (Cheryl) Brady of Columbus and Daniel (April) Brady of Circleville; grandchildren, Douglas, Christopher (Alicia), Brittany, Chassity and Robbie; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Cameron and Aubrey; a brother, Frank (Rose) Brady of Massilon; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Brady of Canton. .
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest cemetery, with Pastor Kurt Combs officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, OH 43221.

Lois Krafft
April 21, 1935 - September 28, 2009

Lois Krafft, age 74, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at her home. Lois was a graduate of South High School and was retired from Shoe Corp. of America. RAYMOND MILTON MILLER

Raymond Milton Miller, 81, of Reedsville, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at Med Central Hospital in Mansfield. He was born July 22, 1928 in Meigs County, the son of the late Ralph and Vera Miller.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Reedsville. Raymond was known for his work ethic and the good example he set for his children. He was a person of good faith and was well-loved by both family and friends. His grandkids referred to him as “Hug-Tight Grandpa”. Preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Miller in 1978; step-son, Fred Spencer; sister, Phyllis; and brothers, Lloyd and Donald; and the mother of his children, Marietta Pauline Morris. He is survived by his children, Raymond (Jane) Miller of Myrtle Beach, Rodney (Terri) Miller of Mansfield and Pamela (Bo) Barker of Grove City; step-children, Howard and Larry Spencer and Tonda Aspen; grandchildren, Becky, Tracy, Jody, Danielle, Lynnea, Christina, Denise, Jerry and Candy; 12 great-grandchildren; special friend, Faye Watson and her son, James and grandson, J.O.; and sister-in-law, Leola Miller of Grove City.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, with Pastor Linda Damewood officiating. Burial will be in Obetz cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Ms. Ruth Miriam Stuck
November 9, 1917 - September 27, 2009

Ruth M. (Linder) Stuck, age 91, of Columbus, died at Friendship Village of Columbus, Sunday, September 27, 2009. Member of Christ Lutheran Church, Bexley. Ruth graduated from Capital University. She lovingly served with her husband, Pastor Werner Stuck, the Lutheran parishes of Grace in Jackson Center, OH; Hope and St. Peter’s in Columbus; First English in Ashville; St Matthew in Lockbourne; and Christ in Bexley. She taught elementary school in Perry County, Pickaway County and Columbus Public Schools. Ruth was born in Santa Ana, CA to Rev. Carl (Sr.) and Edna (Seel) Linder on November 9, 1917. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers Paul and Carl (Jr.). Ruth is survived by sons David of Oceanside, OR, Jonathan (Arleen) of Westerville, James (Kristine) of Carmel, IN; daughter Christine of Columbus; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Grace (Robert) Blailock; sister-in-law Julie Linder; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 2, 2009 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E. Main St., Bexley, OH 43209 with Pastors Tim Iseringhausen and Tom Wolfe officiating. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 + 6-8 pm at Schoedinger State Street Chapel, 229 E. State St. and Friday 10-11 am at the church. Interment Forest Lawn. Janice Louise Salzgaber
July 26, 1928 - October 4, 2009

Janice Salzgaber age 81 a resident of Columbus, died Sunday, October 4, 2009. She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and enjoyed many wonderful times with her family. Roger B. Conover
June 14, 1930 - October 5, 2009

Roger Burris Conover, age 79, of Columbus, died Monday, October 5, 2009. Son of the late Harold and Mary (nee Burris) Conover. Roger was born in Springfield, Ohio, where he graduated from New Moorefield High School. He entered the NROTC at Miami University and graduated in 1952. He spent three years in the Navy, where he met his wife, Joyce. He attended OSU, where he received his B.S. in Education in 1964. He taught at Eastmoor Junior and Senior High before earning his MA from OSU in Special Education. He taught at Madison County, Groveport and Hamilton Township. Roger became Work Study Coordinator, obtaining employment for these special students in the community. He retired from the Franklin County Board of Education in 1993. Roger spent many years singing bass with the Heart of Ohio Barbershop Chorus in the U.S. and Europe. Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce, and three children, Lisa, Scott (Lisa Horkin) Conover, and Sara Weldon, as well as grandchildren Ian Conover, Billy and Elizabeth Weldon and step-grandchildren Alex and Melanie Davis, brother Bill (Linda) Conover of Arizona, niece Beth Thompson, nephew Brad Conover, and uncle Dr. Robert (Betty) Conover of Springfield, Ohio. He was a member and past deacon of Broad Street Presbyterian Church and 50 year Mason of Goodale Lodge No. 372 F & A.M. Calling hours 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday, October 9, 2009 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Memorial service 11:30 am Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad Street. The family requests that contributions be made in lieu of flowers to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 793 W. State St. Columbus, OH 43222 or the charity of your choice.

Sylvia June Carter

Sylvia June Carter (Floyd) born Jan. 4, 1927 in New Boston, OH, passed from this life on Oct. 6, 2009 at ES Nursing Home, Mt Vernon. Preceded in death by father, Winfield Floyd; mother, May (Jordan); brother, Paul. Love & missed by her sisters, Mary (Bill) Schweinsberg, and Bessie (Elmer) Schweinsberg; sons, Jim (Anna) Waddell and Rich (Laura) Carter; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lorena G. Kirkendall
March 17, 1916 - October 9, 2009

Lorena G. Kirkendall - A Funeral Service for Lorena G. Kirkendall will be held Thursday October 15, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Interment will be at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joshua Pennington officiating.
Mrs Kirkendall was born March 17, 1916 in Freeport, Ohio to the late James and Ida Blanche (Barthlow) Bailey. She passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Kirkendall in 1989. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Joyce) Stoddard, Connie (Donald) White, Linda (Kenneth) Householder, Wilber (Janet) Kirkendall Jr., and Richard (Helen) Kirkendall; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She worked many years as a Dietician at the Licking Memorial Hospital, and her family would like to thank all of her friends at the hospital for their special care.

Martha J. Wagers
May 4, 1930 - October 11, 2009

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Martha J. Wagers, age 79, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson cemetery.

Martha was born in Newark, Ohio on May 4, 1930 to the late Frank and Eva Juanita (Willey) Luckydoo. She passed away at Arlington Care Center on Sunday, October 11, 2009.

Prior to retirement, Martha was a G.E.D. assistant with C-TEC (formerly JVS) for many years. She was also a member of LEADS and was on the board of trustees. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, flowers and was an avid card player. She also had a large collection of wall pockets, which she and her husband collected for years from all around the country. Most important in her life was spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis (fiancé, Sarie) Wagers and Randy (Stephanie) Wagers, all of Newark; one daughter, Juanita Garven of Florida; daughter-in-law, Joann Corsi of Newark; sister, Mary Warner of Newark; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wagers in 1990; infant son, Mario and son, Joe Corsi; daughter, Eva Walker; sister, Janie; and brothers, Buck, Johnny and Buddy.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, 43055.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Coach Tim E. Nester
August 2, 1962 - October 25, 2009

Tim E. Nester, age 47, beloved “Coach”, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009. Tim was born August 2, 1962 in Man, WV and was a 1980 graduate of Groveport Madison High School. He attended Ohio University and was an avid sports fan of the Bengals, the Reds and The OSU Buckeyes. His main love was football, which he coached passionately at Gahanna-Lincoln High School. Many young men were influenced by Coach Nester’s drive and spirit. Tim is survived by his parents, Bill and Carol Nester; children, Ashleigh (Matt) Bennett, Ryan Nester and Eric Nester and their mother, Sheralee Nester; grandchildren, Kaila and Austin Bennett; brother, James (Jennifer) Nester and their children, Elizabeth and Dreama Nester, all of Mansfield; Sheralee’s parents, Pete and Beryl Souslin and their daughter, Karen (D.J.) Justice and their children, Trinity, Liberty and Destiny Justice; many friends. Family will receive friends 5-8pm Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, 43230 where services will be held Thursday at 11am; Andrew Hoover, Celebrant. Those who wish, in lieu of flowers, may give to the Gahanna Lincoln High School athletic Fund, 140 S. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 in his memory.

Randall "Randy" Stidham
April 30, 1978 - October 21, 2009

A Celebration of Life Service for Randall “Randy” Stidham, 31 of Granville, will be held on Tuesday, October, 27, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill cemetery.

Randy was born in Newark, Ohio on April 30, 1978 to the late Odell Stidham and Teresa (Glasmeier) Stidham of Newark. He passed away in Newark on October 21, 2009.

Randy was a program manager with Chase Bank in Columbus. He was passionate about riding his motorcycle, which brought him peace, solace and freedom. He was also passionate about his music. Randy was the type of person who enjoyed life and living life to the fullest. He was always doing things to better himself and was currently enrolled at the Mt. Vernon Nazarene College. He loved teaching his children new life skills and he always went out of his way to help others. He also enjoyed working outside in the yard, fixing up cars and was a “neat-freak”. Randy knew no stranger and loved being the center of attention. He was a devoted father, son, husband, brother and friend.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his four children, Christopher Stidham-Hersman, Cara Stidham, Allison Stidham and Abby Stidham; wife, Cristi (Costello) Stidham; three brothers, Keith (Lori) Stidham, Mike (Carolyn) Stidham and Eddie (Dinky) Stidham; one sister, Kay (Keith) Toler; aunts and uncles, Sam (Mary) Stidham, Annalee (James) Clay, Helen (Floyd) Poole, Paul (Pat) Stidham, Ralph (Heidi) Stidham, Jeff (Sandy) Glasmeier, Dwight (Marge) Glasmeier; special nephew, Joey Cross; special friend, Christi Street; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extensive motorcycle friends and a host of other friends.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Randy, to his children’s education fund. Visit any Fiberglas Federal Credit Union to make a contribution in his name, c/o Teresa Stidham.
