Mary McClintock 01/09/2004
Mary 'Aldine' McClintock, age 75, of Co. Rd. 166, Cardington, died Friday January 9,2004 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on July 28,1928 in Mt. Gilead to the late Earnest and Beulah (Ashbrook) Fry.
On October 20,1946, at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Aldine married Lawton McClintock and he preceded her in death on July 16,2003.
Aldine graduated from Mt. Gilead High School in 1946. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt Gilead. In addition she was a member of both the Morrow County Republican Women's Club and had served as a Committee Lady for more than 25 years.
Survivors include 3 daughters Pamela and Larry Gandee of Marion, Teresa Bailey of Cardington and Candi Rogers of Caledonia; 4 grandchildren, Jason Gandee, Jeff Gandee, Ashley Bailey and Corinne Rogers; and 1 great-grandchild Tyler Gandee.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington on Monday January 12,2004 from 2-4 and 6-8PM where funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 1PM with Dr. Dennis Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at Rivercliff Cemetery in Mt. Gilead.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you consider making a memorial contribution to the scholarship fund at Pleasant H.S in care of the funeral home.
Betty Brown 12/28/2003
Betty Brown, age 86, of Park Ave, Cardington, formerly of Delaware Co, died Sunday December 28,2003 in the Morrow County Hospital ER. She was born on November 7,1917 in Clark County to the late Simeon and Glenna (Replogle) Parmenter.
On June 21,1940 she married Merrill Duffy and he preceded her in death. On December 24,1965 she married Carl Brown and he also preceded her in death.
In 1935 Betty graduated from Westville H.S. in Champaign Co. She was a member of the New Dover United Methodist Church in New Dover, Ohio. In addition she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #198 in Delaware since 1940.
In addition to her two husbands she was preceded in death by 1 son Robert Duffy; 1 step-son Mike Duffy; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law Marilyn and Richard 'Dick' Short of Cardington; 1 daughter in law Sondra Duffy of WI; 4 step children Don Brown, Richard Brown, Marvin Brown and Sharon Hall; 1 brother Warren Parmenter of Colorado and 1 sister Ruth Buckey of Marion; 4 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington on Tuesday December 30,2003 from 5-8PM where the funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2PM with Pastor Fred Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.

Floyd Hawk 12/28/2003
Floyd Hawk, age 92, of 700 Baker Street of Mt. Gilead and formerly of County Road 27,Edison, died Sunday morning December 28,2003 at the Morrow County Hospital. He was born on September 14,1911 in Guysville, Ohio to the late John and Vida (Buck) Hawk.
On June 14,1931 in Marion, Ohio he married the former Mabel Buckingham and she survives him after 72 years of marriage.
Throughout his lifetime Floyd worked as a farmer and in addition had worked at Marion Power Shovel for 10 years. He was a member of the Edison United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife Floyd is survived by 1 daughter and son in law, Donna and Jim Osborn of Edison; 2 sons and daughters-in law, Floyd and June Hawk and Charles and Mary Hawk all of Edison; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren an several step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington on Tuesday December 30,2003 from 5-8PM where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM with Pastor Don Lockwood officiating. Burial will follow in Worden Cemetery.
Howard K. Lee 12/24/2003
Howard K. Lee, age 84, of Township Road 130, Edison died Wed. December 24, 2003 at the Woodside Village Care Center. He was born January 16,1919 in Cardington Township to the late Arthur and Ethel (Thomas) Lee.
Howard was a 1937 graduate of the Cardington High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan University. He was a lifelong farmer and was a member of the Morrow County Farm Bureau where he had served as a Director. He had also served as a member of the Cardington Lincoln School Board and was an F.F.A. Alumni parent. Howard was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and the Gideons. In addition he worked with the local 4-H program. Also, he and his son Don had their private pilot license's and flew together.
On April 11,1941 in the Kirpatrick Methodist Church, Howard married the former Martha Myers and after 62 years of marriage she survives. Additional survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law; Donald and Sue Lee of Edison and Thomas and Donna Lee of Mason, OH; daughter Janet Mullins of Cardington; sister Marjorie Fiant of Mt. Vernon; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington. There will be at Graveside service at 10AM on Saturday morning in Bethel Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11 AM in the First United Methodist Church. Pastor John Jackson will officiate.

Susan Irene Hack 12/24/2003
Susan Irene Hack, age 39, of Lee Street, Marion, passed away at 1:18 p.m., on December 24, 2003, in her home. She had been battling cancer since 1989. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio on May 1, 1964 to Lawrence and Carolee (Traxler) Mullholand and they survive in Marietta, GA.
On August 21, 1982 she was married in Meeker, Ohio to Jeffrey D. Hack and he survives.
She was a 1982 graduate of Ridgedale. She worked 9 years at The Depot and after they closed in 1999 she worked at Marion General Hospital for 2 years in Medical Records and later became a volunteer there.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 son, Benjamin D. Hack at home. Also by one sister and brother-in-law, Caroline and Robert Bollinger of Cartersville, GA, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Chris Mullholand, Flemingsburg, KY, Rodney
and Wendy Mullholand, Marion, OH, Michael and Brooke Mullholand, Canton, GA, and her mother-in-law Greta Hack, Cardington, OH, 3 brother-in-laws and their wives and 2 sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Calling hours will be at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Gompf Funeral Home
with burial at Glendale Cemetery in Cardington by Rev. Dan Kiger. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the family to Quality of Life Hospice or American Cancer Society. She also asked all that knew her to have a luminary lit at the ACS Marion County Relay For Life in memory of her. She was a volunteer with them and a firm believer of cancer research.
