Harold Deters
- April 5, 2001 - 11:56 AM

Harold W. Deters, 78, of Leipsic, OH, died at 6:54 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, OH. Born November 9, 1922, He was the son of John and Martha (Kuhlman) Deters. He married Catherine "Katie" Maag on September 27, 1947 and she survives.

Mr. Deters was a machinist at Nelson Manufacturing, Ottawa. He retired in 1986 after 24 years of employment. He was a 4th Degree Member of the Pope Leo the XIII Knights of Columbus, the Ottawa American Legion, Ottawa Eagles and the Ottawa Knights of Columbus. Mr. Deters was WWII Navy veteran.

Other survivors include two sons: David (Jeannine) Deters and Dennis (Karen) Deters, all of Ottawa; and five sisters: Angela (Will) Schulte, Ottawa; Delores (Ralph) Verhoff, Kalida; Viola Maag and Roselia Verhoff, both of Ottawa; and Beverly (Lavon) Leis, Miller City. Mr. Deters has eight grandchildren.

Mr. Deters was predeceased by two daughters: Connie Sue Deters and Carol Recker.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Friday, April 6, 2001, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, OH. Fr. John Jospeh officiating. Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. OH. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be said at 3 pm, an Eagles Service at 6 pm and a Scripture Service at 8:45 pm, all Thursday, at the funeral home.

Donations can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Richard Hermiller

Richard B. Hermiller, 73, of Ottawa, OH, died at 3:45 am, Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa, OH. He was born to John and Mary (Rosenbauer) Hermiller on August 6, 1927. He married Lou Ann Schroeder on April 17, 1951 and she survives.

Mr. Hermiller was a retired farmer, and had retired from the Buckeye Sugar Company.

Hoehn, Richard S.

Richard S. Hoehn, 74, of Glandorf, OH, died at 3:15 am, Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at his home. Born December 19, 1926, he was the son of Joseph and Regina (Kemper) Hoehn. On June 26, 1954, he married Dorothy Recker. She survives.

ALso surviving are 3 sons: Michael (Karen) Hoehn, Wapakoneta, OH; Randall (Pamela) Hoehn, Van Buren, OH; Gary (Elaine) Hoehn, Glandorf, OH; 2 daughters: Becky (Roger) Huber and Lynne (David) Rieman, all of Glandorf, OH; 14 grandchildren; 4 brothers: Orville (Doreen) Hoehn, Deerborn, MI; Ralph (Alice) Hoehn, Delphos, OH; Jerry (Shirley) Hoehn, Ottoville, OH; Joseph (Earlene) Hoehn, North Olmstead, OH; 3 sisters: Wilma (Frank) Sunderhaus and Norma (Dick) Wolke, all of Ottawa, OH; Jenny (Dan) Maag, Columbus Grove, OH. Mr. Hoehn was predeceased by 2 sisters: Mary Mack and Mildred Wieging; and by 3 brothers: Eugene, Victor and Thomas Hoehn.

Mr. Hoehn was a retired operating engineer for the E. J. Meyer and Sons Construction Company, Ottawa, OH. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, OH, and it's Men's Society; a member of the Ottawa Eagles, VFW and American Legion; a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers Union; and was a WWII Army veteran.

A Funeral Mass will be celebreated at 10:30 am, Friday, May 4, 2001, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, OH. The Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with mililtary rites by the Ottawa American Legion and VFW.

Friends may call from 7-9 pm Wednesday, May 2, 2001 and from 2-4 & 6-9 pm Thursday, May 3, 2001, at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, OH. An Eagles service will be held at 7 pm, a VFW service at 7:15 pm and a parish rosary at 8 pm, all Thursday, at the funeral home.

SIEBENECK, ELIZABETH

Elizabeth "Betty" Siebeneck, 87, of Leipsic, OH, died at 2:40 am Monday, June 4, 2001 at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa, OH. Born August 27, 1913, Betty is the daughter of Ferd and Anna (Gores) Meyer. On June 13, 1934, she married Clarence "Peanuts" Siebeneck. He died May 30, 1997.

Mrs. Siebeneck was a homemaker. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, OH, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She belonged to the Ottawa Eagles Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Ottawa Senior Citizens, and recieved an award for 42 years of service to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include 4 sons: Tom (Marilyn) of Glandorf, OH; Daniel (Carol), Leon "George", and Robert (Sue) all of Leipsic, OH; a daughter: Mary (Herb) Scheckelhoff of Ottawa, OH; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Siebeneck was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Boewe; 3 grandsons; a brother, Jim Meyer; and a sister, Margaret Siebeneck.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, OH. The Rev. John Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 2 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at Love Funeral Home, Leipsic, OH. A scripture service will be held at 3 pm and a parish rosary at 7:30 pm, both Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations can be made to Putnam County Hospice or to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund.

Zeller, Florence

Florence L. Zeller, 89, of Kalida, OH, died at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 28, 2001 at her home. Born June 18, 1912, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Verhoff) Hamel. On October 6, 1936, she married William Zeller. He died November 16, 1985.

Survivors include 2 sons: George (Esther) Zeller of Jackson, MI, and Daniel (Pat) Zeller of Kalida, OH; 2 daughters: Joan (Ron) Schmitz of Glandorf, OH, and Judy (Tom) Bonifas of Kalida, OH; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; a sister, Mildred Ricker.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lowell "Tom" Zeller; a sister, Marguerite Kurber; and 3 brothers: Harold, Cy and Donald Hamel.

Mrs. Zeller was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, OH, and its Rosary Altar Society.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, OH. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Fr. Scott Kramer officiating.

Friends may call from 7-9 pm Monday, October 29, 2001 and from 2-9 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, OH where a scripture service will be held at 3 pm Tuesday.

Hedrick, Beatrice

Beatrice M. Hedrick, 82, of Kalida, OH, died at 5:35 pm, Sunday, October 28, 2001 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, OH. Born August 10, 1919, she was the daughter of Bernard and Amelia (Bensman) Rechtine. On August 10, 1936, she married Richard Brinkman, who died June 4, 1960. She then married Vincent Hedrick on August 17, 1963. He died February 16, 1998.

Survivors include 3 sons: Herbert Brinkman of Helena, OH, Kenneth Brinkman of Kalida, OH, and Dennis (Mary Ann) Brinkman of Lima, OH; a daughter, Marguerite "Mary" (Donald) Miller of Ft. Jennings, OH; a step-daughter: Vivian (Robert) Plescher of Ottawa, OH; 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law: Carol Brinkman. Mrs. Hedrick was preceded in death by a son, Leo Brinkman.

Mrs. Hedrick was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, OH and its Rosary Altar Society; a member of the Glandorf Catholic Ladies of Columbia; a the Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, OH. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery, Glandorf, OH. Fr. John Herber will officiate.

Friends may call from 7-9 pm Monday, October 29, and from 2-9 pm Tuesday, October 30 at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, OH. A scripture service will be held at 3:30 pm and a Rosray Altar/ CL of C rosary will be recited at 8 pm, both Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of th donor's choice.
