Georgia Mae (Bogan) Kirkpatrick
February 06, 1926 - September 05, 2000
Georgia Mae Bogan Kirkpatrick, 74 of 1075 Linwood Place died September 5, 2000 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born February 26, 1926 in Mansfield being a life long resident. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a 1944 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Lexington Senior Citizens. She retired from Dr. David Schwein's Office and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Charles L. Kirkpatrick; one son, Gary L. Kirkpatrick of Mansfield, Ohio; two grandchildren, Lee and Abby; one step sister, Virginia Hunt of Mansfield; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee William and Georgia Faye Bogan; one sister, Mary Anna Bogan Smith; and one step brother, Robert Balyeat.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday September 7, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or MedCentral Hospice Home Health Care. Wappner Funeral Directors are handling arrangements.

Paula Kern Arndt
October 28, 1905 - September 05, 2000
Paula Arndt, 94, formerly of Woodland Road, died Tuesday afternoon, September 5, 2000 at Winchester Terrace following a long illness. Paula was born October 28, 1905, in Wetzlar, Germany, to Konrad and Christine Walter Kern. On April 11, 1925, she married William Arndt, who passed away in 1985. Paula and her husband emigrated to the United States in 1927. She was employed by Knapp's Restaurant and Buckeye Bakery until her retirement. Paula has been a longtime member of St. John's United Church of Christ and for many years was active with the St. John's Quilters. She is a life member of the new Apostolic Church in Massillon, Ohio, and Germany.
She is survived by a son, William F. Arndt, and daughter-in-law, Norma, of Fairborn; grandsons, William and Paul Arndt, and great-granddaughter, Kourtnee Arndt. She is also survived by four nieces in Germany, Ilse Metz, Irmgard Platte, Heidemarie Hermann and Marga Siegl. Paula is also survived by many caring friends who have loved and admired her, including the Bartelheim family, Josephine Smith, Barbara Britton and the Massa family, as well as many other dear friends in the community and from her church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and Walter Kern and sisters, Tilly, Anna, Mia and Dora.
Funeral services will be held at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday September 8, 2000 at 11:00 conducted by the New Apostolic Church. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service. Burial will be in Mansfield cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made the New Apostolic Church or St. John's Church of Christ.

Willa Mae (Davis) Perry
March 06, 1926 - September 19, 2000
Willa Mae (Davis) Perry, 74 of Mansfield died September 19, 2000 at home following an extended illness. Mrs. Perry was born March 6, 1926 to the late Herman and Myrtle Davis of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She attended Greensville School in Arkansas. Willa Mae moved to Mansfield, OH and united in Holy Matrimony to William M. Perry on October 29, 1949. From this marriage two sons were born, Terry M. and Michael O. Perry. Willa Mae accepted Christ at an early age. She worked devotedly for Holiday Inn in the Housekeeping unit for about thirteen years. In 1999 she retired due to her illness.
Willa Mae leaves to cherish her memory two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry M. Perry and Michael O. & Debra J. Perry all of Mansfield, OH; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry Davis of Portland, Oregon, Howard & Anne Davis of Gary, Indiana, Hugh & Josephine Brown of Cament, California, Humphery & Sharon Brown and James & Debra K. Brown all of Mansfield; one sister Olivia Williams of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Carrie Davis of Mansfield, OH; three grandchildren, Thomas Matthew Ison (Perry), Sir Lancelot Matthew Perry and Aja Neim Perry; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friends and neighbors, Callie Canada, Joann Vaugh, Ann Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Myrtle Davis; two brothers, Herman Davis and Humphrey Brown; a sister Ruth Linzy and her husband William Matthew Perry in 1976.
Friends may call the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday, September 21, 2000 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services which will be held on Friday, September 22, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. V. Edward Larson. Burial will be held at Maple Grove cemetery in Chesterville, OH.

Nellie I. Au
June 21, 1918 - October 21, 2000
Nellie I. (Norris) Au, age 82 of Mansfield died October 21, 2000 at Lexington Court Care Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Au was born June 21, 1918 in Worthington, Township residing in the Mansfield area all of her life. She retired from Hartman Electric after 25 years of service.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Carol Au of Lancaster, Ohio; three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Harold Messer of Mansfield; Rose and David Appleman of Mansfield; and Dollie and Mike Kovinchick of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Harold Jr., Jodi, Shelley, Randall, Jeffrey, Travis, Jerry Jr., and Lynnette; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Norris of Shelby; two sisters, Barbara Ball of Mansfield; and Adith Karbula of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie E. and Nellie Mae (Swihart) Norris; her husband, Clarence A. Au; six brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8. p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Carl Cunfer. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.

Mary N. Angelas
February 13, 1915 - December 27, 2000
Mary N. "Yia Yia" Angelas, age 85, entered into rest, on Monday December 27, 2000 at West Florida Regional Medical Center in Pensacola, Florida. Mrs. Angesas was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 13, 1915, the daughter of the late Nick and Sophia Bajiotis Chakeres. Mary was a homemaker, married to Nick Angelas who predeceased her and a son Gus, who also preceded her in death. Mary made Niceville, Florida her home for the past twelve years. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor and compassion for others. Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James and Karen Pappas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Mike Revelos; Sophia and Jack Frost and Helen Kuritz and children, Nikolas and Natasha and their father, Drew Kuritz. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday January 2, 2001 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. with the Father Nicholas Hughes Officiating. Interment to follow in the Mansfield cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of one's choice, in memory of Mary.

Theresa Anton
October 12, 1907 - January 29, 2001
Theresa Anton, 93 formerly of 180 W. Raleigh Ave. died January 29, 2001 at Lexington Court Care Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Anton was born October 12, 1907 in Lefor, North Dakota residing in the Mansfield area since 1951. She had worked at MedCentral and was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and of GBU. Theresa was an avid quilter, and loved to cook, bake and garden.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Virginia Anton; and Norm and Marlene Anton all of Mansfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Robert Coon; Rosemary and Leland McKean; and Lorraine and Alfred Schiff all of Mansfield; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; three step sisters, Theresa Schroeder and Kate Coon both of Mansfield and Anna Bakken of Washington State.. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Focht; her husband whom she married November 22, 1925, Jacob Anton; and one daughter, Joann in1939; two brothers, Nick and George Focht and one sister, Katherine Dries.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services which will be held on Thursday February 1, 2001 at 10: 00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church conducted by the church. Burial will be held in Mansfield Catholic cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Msgr. Edward C. Dunn Foundation for Education (104 E. First Street Mansfield, Ohio 44902).

Clement Joseph Amicon
April 27, 1916 - February 07, 2001
Anna L. Owens, 85, of Harding Road, Mansfield, Ohio died Thursday morning, February 8, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield following an extended illness. She was born April 15, 1915 to Jessie & Lydia (Ratcliff) Steagall in Rowan County, Kentucky.
Mrs. Owens retired from Mansfield Tire & Rubber Co. Mrs. Owens enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She will be remembered by her family as a loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill & Shirley Owens and Robert Owens all of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty & Jim Estep of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a sister, Margaree Kitchen of Maysville, KY; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Grett Mollett and Norma Robey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley Owens in 1991; a daughter, Darlene Brinegar; thirteen brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Friday, February 9, 2001 from 6-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 10, 2001 at 3:00 p.m., conducted by Pastor Bill Secrist. Burial will be held at Mansfield cemetery.

Mildred Grace Akers
June 24, 1927 - March 06, 2001
Mildred Grace Akers, 73, of 3098 Riviera Bay Court, Oviedo, Florida died at home Tuesday, March 6, 2001 after a brief illness. Mrs. Akers was born June 24, 1927 in Fort Gay, West Virginia living in the Mansfield area until moving to Florida in 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Oviedo, Florida and while in Mansfield attended Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill & Anita Akers of Tampa, Florida and Don & Rose Akers of Oviedo, Florida; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda & Ron Shelton and Robin Rose, all of Oviedo; seven grandchildren, Sherri Shafer, Tammy Barker, Billie Jo Cole, Jay Akers, David Akers, Tim Shelton, and Shelley Green; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lily Castle of Louisa, Kentucky and Stella Pennington of Ironton, Ohio; and four brothers, Carl, Frank, and George Wellman, all of West Virginia, and Johnny Wellman of Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, George & Bird Della Akers Wellman; her husband, Jay H. Akers in 1993; two sisters, Nell and Lutie; and four brothers, Fred, Claude, Floyd, and Luther.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Herman Copley. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park.

Margie E. (Silcott) Swigart
August 04, 1921 - April 08, 2001
Margie E. Silcott Swigart, 79, of 107 Leppo Lane died Sunday, April 8, 2001 at Woodlawn Nursing Home. Mrs. Swigart was born August 4, 1921 in Mansfield, Ohio living in the area all of her life. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High, class of 1940 and retired from Reed’s Department Store and Dominion Electric. Mrs. Swigart was a member of Eastern Star #291 Bellville and the All-Girl Orchestra and Choral Society. She attended Diamond Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sonni & Bob Shoaf of Mansfield, Jacki “Jacqueline” & Fred Biederstedt of Malinta, Ohio, and Bobbi & Tom Schuler of Westerville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a step grandson; a sister, Ruth Conlan of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Thirza Stevenson Silcott; her husband, Robert C. Swigart; and a brother, James Silcott.
The family wishes to express special thanks to all friends and family especially Louie & Pat Diamond and Jack & Barb Paramore.

Alberta Eileen (Reams) Petee
April 07, 1917 - April 08, 2001
Alberta Eileen (Reams) Petee, age 84, died Sunday, April 8, 2001 after a brief illness. Mrs. Petee was born April 7, 1917 in Amity, Ohio to the late Clarence and Eleanor (Kells) Reams. She was a member of the Park Avenue West First Church of God and she dearly loved her children, grandchildren and her little doggies.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Harry Petee of Shelby, OH; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Joyce Westler of Marion, OH; Larry and Barbara Petee of Mansfield, OH, Ed and Linda Westler of Shelby, OH; three daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia Guarnieri and Victor Aaron of Ft. Pierce, FL, Sue and Joe Massoni of Wooster, OH; Pat and Glen Elliott of Mansfield, OH; nineteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel Lamb and Grace Boggs, both of Mt. Vernon, OH; numerous nieces and nephews and her little dog, Muffin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Betty Frazier.
