Jacob Oman
December 14, 1938 - December 28, 2004

Jacob Oman, 66, of 637 Bennett St., Findlay, died of natural causes Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
He was born in Waterville, Oh., on Wednesday, December 14, 1938. He was the son of the late Clayton and Mary (Thompson) Oman. He was the husband of Jo Anne (Shafer) Oman. They were married on August 28, 1993 in Findlay.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Daughter Laura Oman, Findlay, and Son Steven Oman, Findlay. He is also survived by 11 stepchildren, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the North Baltimore Eagles and the UCOA club.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, December 30, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8pm
Memorial Services will be held Friday, December 31, 2004 at 11am at Routson Funeral Chapel. Pastor McBeth officiating.

Kathleen "Sue" Rush
January 08, 2004 - December 28, 2004

Kathleen (Sue) Rush, 82, of 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton, but formerly of 1218 Chateau Ct., Findlay, died of natural causes Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at The Mennonite Home, Bluffton.
Born in Findlay, on Sunday January 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Merlin and Marie (Ray) Jeffery. On June 6, 1939 she married Philip “Whitey” Rush in Napoleon, Oh.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at Geauga County Home Health. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Findlay where she was involved in the Share Group. She also volunteered at the Alzheimer’s Day Care for 8 years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by Son Larry (Betty) Rush, Tiffin; Daughter Phyllis (Doyle) Shank, Findlay; Daughter Susan (Pete) McDonnell, Cleveland; Daughter Barb Newman, Findlay; and Sister Mary Munson, Port Clinton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Merlin and Robert Jeffery, 2 grandchildren Kathleen Marie Rush and Cris Shank, and 1 great-grandchild Amanda Thompson.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, December 30 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel. Memorial Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 31 at Routson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Terry Pontius, Officiating. Interment at Tawa cemetery in Union Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Mennonite Home, Alzheimer’s Unit 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton, Oh. 45817.

Jerry Lawrence Siferd
November 17, 1937 - December 29, 2004

Jerry Lawrence Siferd, born November 17, 1937 called home to Heaven on December 29, 2004.
Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years Jo-Ann (Courtney) Siferd, his three children, Robin Lynn (Jon Timothy) Wilkins of Pensacola, Fl. Rick Allen (Cindy) Siferd of Fostoria, and Jerry Lawrence (Suzie) Siferd II of McComb. He is grandfather to eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
He is survived by 5 siblings, Joyce, Connie, Harold, Gladine and Larry. He is preceded in death by 3 siblings, Charles, Marilyn and Maxine.
He served his country in the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He retired from General Dynamics. He loved God, family, friends, gardening, hunting, fishing, and trapping. He loved the outside and everything God made.
Friends are invited to call Sunday, January 2, 2005 from 1-3 and 5-7pm
Memorial Services will be held Monday, January 3, 2005 at 2pm at Trinity Baptist Church. Pastors David Shafer, Dave Fetter, and Gene Milioni, officiating.
Family requests donations to the Cornerstone Baptist Church c/o Dave Fetter on his mission trip to Micronesia.

William "Bill" Wortman
March 27, 1950 - January 20, 2005

William “Bill” M. Wortman, 54 of 815 Liberty St. Findlay, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
Bill was born on March 27, 1950 in Findlay, Oh. to Robert and Mary Lou (Day) Wortman, and they survive him. On April 17, 1971 he married the love of his life Karen D. Leddy in Findlay, and she survives him.
He is also survived by five children; Drew A. Wortman, Karen Nicole (Ray III) Parmelee, Erin L. Wortman, Jim T. Wortman and Joshua M. Wortman, a granddaughter; Madeline J Parmelee, four brothers; R. David, John, Jim and Paul, and two sisters; Amy (Glenn) Opp and Sarah (Steve) Russell. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Andrew Wortman.
Bill graduated from Findlay High School and Cañada College in Redwood City, Ca. He was a sergeant in the 1st Marine Division serving his country proudly in Vietnam in 1969-1970. He managed Jeans Plus in Findlay from 1976-1983, was an insurance agent for Wortman Insurance, Massachusetts Mutual and Bill Wortman Insurance. Bill installed recreational and fencing equipment and was President of Bill Wortman Enterprises, Inc., which distributed consumer products. Bill proudly officiated boys and girls high school basketball and was a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 23, 2005 from 1-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel, Findlay.
Funeral Services with be held Monday, January 24, 2005 at 10 am. Reverend Ben Borsay officiating. Interment will be at with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad performing Memorial Donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund 1023 15th St NW, 2nd Floor Washington DC 20005, The Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program Attn: Staff Sgt Pogue 28828 Glenwood Rd Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 or The Gateway Church Building Fund 10111 US 224 West Findlay, Ohio 45840.

Shane Young
May 9, 1972 - February 1, 2005

Shane Young, 32, of Findlay passed away Tuesday February 1, 2005 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
Born Tuesday May 9, 1972 to Dan and Marilyn (McClary)Young in Fayette County. He married Cari (Grose) on April17, 2000. They survive him.
He is also survived by Brother Sean(Tony) Young, Three Step children; Jessica Myers, Amanda Aukerman and Nicole Aukerman, and four nephews; Justin, Brandon, Austin and Aiden Young.
His infectious laughter and loving nature will be remembered by all who loved and knew him. He enjoyed life and helped others to enjoy it also.
He proudly held his Journeyman’s card with the Carpenter’s Union # 1581. He was also an associate at Routson Funeral Chapel where his compassion and kindness will be greatly missed
Friends are invited to call Friday, February 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at United Brethren Church on Saturday, February 5 at 11am with interment following at Maple Grove cemetery. Pastor Ron Gonzales, officiating.

Delbert P. Dehnhoff
April 23, 1913 ~ July 19, 2007

Mr. Delbert P. Dehnhoff, 94, of Findlay, found peace at 3:27 am, Thursday, July 19, 2007 at his residence, the Taylor House, Findlay.
Mr. Dehnhoff was born on April 23, 1913. He was raised on his parents', the late Earl and Ruth (Peffley) Dehnhoff, flower farm in Van Buren, Ohio. He was a farmer and electrician.
He is survived by many cousins and friends, including the nursing staff at the Infusion Center of Blanchard Valley Hospital and the caring staff at the Taylor House.
Delbert was preceded in death by two sisters: Rose Hindman and Vivian Helle.
Delbert loved the land. He enjoyed science, horticulture and keeping up with current events. Delbert was an avid ham radio operator, building his own radio equipment. His call sign was W8VOZ - Victor Oscar Zero.
Visitation will be held at Routson Funeral Chapel from 10 - 11 am on Sunday, July 22, 2007.
Graveside Services will be held at Bechtel cemetery, St. Rte 613 E., Van Buren, OH on Sunday July 22, 2007 at 12 noon with Chaplin Deb Curtis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Associated Charities, 1800 N. Blanchard St., Findlay, Ohio 45840 or Heartland Home Health & Hospice 96 S. Washington St. Suite 100 Tiffin, OH 44883.

Waverly Susan "Susie" Blunk
June 7, 1958 ~ August 24, 2007

Waverly Susan (Susie) Blunk, 49, of Findlay passed away Friday, August 24, 2007 suddenly at Blanchard Valley Health Center. Susan was born in Findlay, Ohio on June 7, 1958, the daughter of the late Myron and Dorothy (Feasel) Hill; she survives in Findlay, OH. She was the wife of Tim Blunk. They were married on February 26, 1997 and celebrated their 10th anniversary this year.

She is survived by sisters: Melody (Rick) Bowman of Arcadia, OH, Dee (Don) Monteleone of Bowling Green, OH.; brothers: Michael L. (Vicki) Hill of Achworth, GA., Dennis (Amy) Hill of Findlay, OH., Jon (Linda) Hill of Arcadia, OH., and her twin brother Gregory Scott Hill of Arcadia, OH. She is also survived by her godchild: John Richard Cole, 2 dogs, 2 parrots and many nieces and nephews.
Susan was a 1977 graduate of Arcadia High School. She was an operator at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio. She was previously employed by Foodtown for 27 years. She enjoyed being outdoors and flowers.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday, August 28, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Routson Funeral Chapel. Friends are also invited to call Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 10-11am at Arcadia United Methodist Church .
A Religious Service will be held at Arcadia United Methodist Church, Arcadia, OH at 11 am on Wednesday, August 29, with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating.
Interment is scheduled to follow at Bishop cemetery, Arlington, OH.
