Sarah Cornwell
October 22, 1923 ~ November 6, 2007

Mrs. Sarah Cornwell, 84, of Findlay, entered eternal rest at 5:00 am on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 while in the company of family members at her residence.
Mrs. Cornwell was born in Findlay, Ohio on October 22, 1923, to the late Andrew and Mary (Williams) Wise.
She was the widow of Elmer Cornwell. They were married on January 27, 1945 in Findlay. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2005.
Sarah is survived by their 2 daughters: Diane (Michael) Weising and Patsy (David) Baker; both of Findlay, Ohio. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
She devoted her life to loving her husband and raising their children.
She was a member of the American Legion for 53 years.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 7-9 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel.
Religious Service will be held at Routson Funeral Chapel, Findlay, OH. at 11am on Friday, November 9, 2007, with Richard Sullivan officiating.
Interment will be private at convenience of the Family in Bethel cemetery.
Sarah requested donations be made in her memory to Cancer Patient Services 1800 N. Blanchard St Suite 120 Findlay, OH 45840.

Irene C. "Renie" Lenhart
February 8, 1937 ~ November 1, 2007

Mrs. Irene Claire “Renie” Lenhart, 70, of Port Clinton passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007 while in the company of family members at Magruder Hospital.
Irene was born in Elyria, OH on February 8, 1937, the daughter of the late Daniel George and Rose Lucy (Bihn) Herman.
She was the wife of Donald D. Lenhart Jr. They were married on December 20, 1956 in Angola, Indiana They renewed their wedding vows in Catawba Island, Ohio on February 10, 2007 during their 50th Anniversary Celebration. He survives her.
Irene is survived by a daughter: Lisa (Lenhart) Schadel of Findlay, OH; five sons: Donald Dale Lenhart III of Hugo, MN., Steven McVeay Lenhart of Hilliard, OH., James Burr Lenhart of Phoenix, AZ., Brian Scott Lenhart of Columbus, OH., and Matthew Sean Lenhart of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren: Danielle Lee “Nel” (Lenhart) Besser, Maplewood, MN., Jessica Renee Schadel, Bowling Green, OH., Donald Dale “Davey” Lenhart IV, Hugo, MN., Derek Austin Schadel, Findlay, OH., Lindsey McKenna Lenhart, Columbus, OH., Chelsey Elizabeth Lenhart, Columbus, OH., Justin Scott Lenhart, Columbus, OH., Sophia Blair Lenhart, Hilliard, OH., and Anna Clair Lenhart, Hilliard, OH. She is also survived by 4 sisters: Dorothy Bruce of Brunswick, OH., Agnes Bach of Lacey, WA., Helen Chappell of Oberlin, OH., and Eileen Streibel her twin sister of Waco, TX.
Irene was preceded in death by a brother: Ralph Herman and 2 sisters: Anna Abbey and Cecelia Bruce.
Irene worked as a Primary school teacher for Keystone School District in La Grange, Ohio; Elyria City Schools in Elyria, Ohio. After receiving her certification in 1964 for Speech & Hearing Pathology she worked for the Lima City Schools as a Speech Pathologist. Irene received her M.S. in Education from the University of Dayton in 1992. Irene retired in 2003 after 28 years of service to the education field.
Irene Lenhart will be remembered for the love and joy she had for her family and being a leader in life-long educational pursuits. Some of the hobbies she enjoyed doing with her family were cooking, traveling, gardening and having great conversation with everyone who crossed her path. She enjoyed sharing stories about her family life and seeing the good in all. She had a strong faith in God.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel. A visitation will also be held from 10-11 am at the College First Church of God Findlay, Ohio where a Religious Service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 5, 2007. An interment is scheduled to follow at Maple Grove cemetery Findlay, OH.

Marilyn C. Martin
December 28, 1929 ~ December 3, 2007

On December 3, 2007 a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away from this life to be with the Lord; after a battle with COPD, surrounded by her family.
Marilyn C. Martin was born December 28, 1929 in Hancock County to Russell E. and Emily Eugenia (Beucler) Smaltz, the second of five children.
Marilyn graduated from Liberty Benton High School, 1948.
She married James "Al" Martin on June 24, 1950 at the Howard United Methodist Church in Findlay, Ohio. He survives her.
Also surviving are two sons: Jeffery A. (Deb) Martin and Phil E. (Judy) Martin; a daughter: Marilyn Ann (Fred) Alexander; seven grandchildren: Jackie Gordon of Findlay, Amy Ernest of Greenfield, OH, Jim Martin of Findlay, Emily Alexander of Plano Texas, Michael Alexander of Plano Texas, John Alan of Lima, OH, and Luann Smith of Findlay; three brothers: Paul Smaltz and Earl Smaltz, both of Findlay and Ed Smaltz of CA; a sister: Betty Rozelle of Findlay and three sister-in-laws: Carolyn McPherson, Deloris Forman and Juanita Hogan all of Upper Sandusky, OH.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Pamela Sue Martin; a granddaughter: Shelly Martin; and five brother-in-laws: Chuck Martin, Lester Martin, Tyrone Martin, Robert Edwards and George Martin.
She and Al co-owned and operated the Whitehouse Hamburger Shop and worked at the University of Findlay for the Marriot in the Cave.
She was a member of the Findlay Eastern Star, and Rachel Circle at Howard United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading, cross stitch and her flowers.
Donations “No Flowers-(Please)” may be made to Howard United Methodist Church, Flood Recovery Fund, Findlay Public Library or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
Visitation will be held at Routson Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Masonic Eastern Star Service at 7:00 p.m. There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. - Noon followed by a Religious Service at Noon at the Howard United Methodist Church on Friday, December 7, 2007 with Pastor Stark officiating.

Robert J. "Bob" Young
September 12, 1928 ~ November 12, 2007

Mr. Robert James "Bob" Young, 79, of Findlay, passed away at 8:55 AM, Monday, November 12, 2007 while in the company of family members at his daughter’s residence.
Mr. Young was born in Iler, Ohio on September 12, 1928, the son of the late Robert and Ruth (Alford) Young.
He was the widower of Lula Mae (Ewers) Young. They were married in Tiffin, Ohio on November 10, 1964. She preceded him on June 18, 2004. He was previously married to Helen Bronson, they later divorced.
He is survived by three daughters: LuAnn (Mark) Muzy of Findlay, OH., Peggy Ireland of Findlay, OH., Linda (Floyd) Swartz of Fostoria, OH., two sons: Ray (Eloise) Ireland of Fostoria, OH, Roth (Teresa) Ireland of Milton Center, OH.; a sister: Mabel "Billie" Schroeder of Findlay, OH., a brother: Harold "Bud" (Sharon) Young of FL.; He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by a daughter: Jeannie Chilcote, a grandson, a great-grandson and a brother: Herb Young
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and in the United States Army. As a civilian he worked as a Tire Builder for Uniroyal and spent his later years as a TV Repairman.
Robert was a member of the UCOA and Field and Stream Archery Club.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel.
Religious Service will be held at Routson Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11 am with Pastor Neil Norheim officiating.
Interment is scheduled to follow at Knollcrest Gardens in Arcadia, OH where the Hancock County Memorial Squad will perform military rites.
Family request memorial donations are made to Routson Funeral Chapel 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, OH 45840.

Malvina (Mollie) Bernot
June 19, 1914 ~ September 27, 2008

Mrs. Malvina (Mollie) Bernot, 94, of Findlay, (formerly of Cleveland, Ohio), entered eternal rest at 9:41 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2008 while in the company of family members at The Heritage.
Malvina was born in Mostunumik, Romania, on June 19, 1914, the daughter of the late Laslo and Esther (Kovach) Barota. She immigrated to the United States at age 8, arriving at Ellis Island on August 6, 1922. She married Frank J. Bernot who preceded her in death on May 13, 1984.
She is survived by her daughter: Barbara Medeiros of Scottsdale, AZ and son: James (Anne) Bernot of Findlay, OH. She also is survived by two granddaughters: Kristin Medeiros and Katherine Bernot and two grandsons: Nathan Medeiros and Michael Bernot.
Malvina was preceded in death by her daughter: Pauline Bernot; her two brothers: William and Laslo Jr. Barota and two sisters: Violet and Irene Barota.
She was a Realtor for 20 years in the Cleveland area, retiring from Farina Reality.
Malvina moved to Findlay in 2001, and resided at Findlay Senior Towers for the last seven years.
She attended St. Michael the Archangel Church East Findlay, OH.
There will be a visitation held Monday, September 29, 2008 from 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel.
A Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church East, Findlay, OH on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 10 am with Father Shaji Thomas officiating.
The Internment will be held at Holy Cross cemetery, Cleveland, OH on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 1 pm.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in Malvina’s name to Bridge Home Health and Hospice 15100 Birchaven Lane Findlay, OH 45840.

Ricky J. Courtney
January 15, 1953 ~ September 24, 2008

Mr. Ricky J. Courtney, 55, of Findlay, passed away at 11:19 PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 while in the company of family members at Fox Run Manor.
Ricky was born in Findlay, Ohio on January 15, 1953, the son of the late William and Ruth L (Montgomery) Courtney.
He is survived by three daughters: Toni (Sean) Young of Bluffton, Oh; Dawn Courtney and Crystal Courtney both of Findlay; a son: Shane Courtney of Findlay; two sisters: Shirley Hershey and Sandra Matthews and three brothers: Raymond Courtney, Gary Courtney, and Larry Courtney. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Ricky was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry and Jack Courtney and two sisters: Darlene Thompson and Beverly Chiow.
Ricky worked for Koehler Construction.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 11am -1 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel with a Religious Service following at 1 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2008.
Interment will follow at Knollcrest Gardens Arcadia, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice 15100 Birchaven Lane Findlay, OH 45840 or Fox Run Manor 2101 Greendale Ave Findlay, Ohio.
