Josephine L. Grubb
August 29, 1915 ~ October 6, 2008
Mrs. Josephine L. Grubb, 93, of Florissant MO, formerly of Findlay, passed away at 9:53 AM, Monday, October 6, 2008 peacefully at Bentwood Nursing Home, MO.
Mrs. Grubb was born in Findlay, Ohio on August 29, 1915, the daughter of the late Warren and Jenny (Pulcheon) Routzon.
She was the widow of Robert L. Grubb. They were married
on April 6, 1933 in Tiffin, OH. He preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived by a daughter: Barbara Ann (Pete) Bradt of Florissant, MO and a son: Donald Dean Grubb. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Josephine was preceded in death by a daughter: Shirley Hummell; a grandson: Steve Tuttle; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
She worked for Ohio Bell for 23 years as a telephone operator, retiring in 1975.
She was a member of Telephone Pioneers, Blanchard Valley Hospital Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge.
Graveside Services will be at Maple Grove cemetery on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11 am with Pastor Brett Kelley officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made in Josephine’s name to Cancer Patient Services 1800 N. Blanchard St. Suite 120 Findlay, Ohio 45840

Phyllis Adelle (Baum) Murphy
November 17, 1925 ~October 7, 2008
Mrs. Phyllis Adelle (Baum) Murphy, 82, of Findlay, passed away at 12:02 AM, Tuesday, October 7, 2008 while in the company of her son at Birchaven Retirement Village.
Mrs. Murphy was born in Bellevue, OH on November 17, 1925, the daughter of the late Clayton and Ruth (Keene) Baum.
She was the widow of the Edward J Murphy. They were married
on January 12, 1945 in Lorain, Ohio. He preceded her in death in January 1979.
Phyllis is survived by her son: James Murphy of Findlay; daughter-in-law: Roxy Murphy of Clinton, IN; sisters: Mrs. Lois Clark and Mrs. Dale (Janice) Raymond both of Lorain, Oh and Mrs. Dewayne (Ruth Lee) Bertsch of Amherst, OH. She is also survived by two beautiful grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was employed as a laborer at Joseph & Feisse Garment Factory in Lorain, Oh; General Electric in both Bellevue then in Bucyrus, OH; a waitress at the Hole in the Wall Restaurant, alongside by her son Jim. She most recently worked as a clerk at the Convenient Food Mart in Amherst, OH.
Phyllis was a member to the Order of Eastern Star, Lorain, OH. She was also a First Mother Advisor to Bellevue Rainbow Girls in the late 60s.
She was a member of Howard United Methodist Church Findlay, OH.
At the family's request there will be no visitation.
The family will hold a memorial service at Faith Baptist Church, 440 N. Lake St, Amherst, OH 44001 on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 1:00 pm in honor of Phyllis’s memory with Reverend Michael Plog officiating.

Delmar "Del" Phillips
March 19, 1934 ~ October 4, 2008
Mr. Delmar "Del" Phillips, 74, of Findlay, passed away at 10:28 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2008 peacefully at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, OH surrounded by his family.
Mr. Phillips was born in Alvada, Ohio on March 19, 1934, the son of the late Orville J. and Golda (Bovee) Phillips.
He was the widower of Evelyn (Gillen) Phillips. They were married
in Findlay, Ohio on June 14, 1964. They shared 42 years together. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2007.
Del is survived by daughters: Linda (Steve) McClain, Karen Sherick, and Jonica (Curtis) Hammond; sons: Tom (Stella) Misamore, Tim Misamore, Michael (JoEllen) Phillips, Thomas (Barbara) Phillips; sisters: Helen Weikert, Carolyn Peeler, Eleanor Monday and Naomi (Keith) Cosner. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Welcome Moser and a brother: Wallace Phillips.
He was a member of the UCOA Club and a former member of the Moose Lodge 698, both in Findlay. He enjoyed Richard Petty and NASCAR and was also an avid Ohio State University fan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from 2-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel.
Religious Service will be held at Routson Funeral Chapel, Findlay, OH at 11 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 with Minister Fred Norden officiating. Interment is scheduled to follow at the New Maplewood cemetery, North Baltimore, OH.

Waldo Christopher Greiner
January 15, 1939 ~ September 1, 2008
Mr. Waldo Christopher Greiner, 69, of Findlay, passed away at 6:26 PM, Monday, September 1st, 2008 while in the company of family members at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
Waldo was born in Bluffton, Ohio on January 15, 1939, the son of the late Clarence and Rudell (Henderson) Kempf. After the passing of his father, Rudell married
Harold Kempf.
He was the husband of Nicholine (Bowers) Greiner. They were married
in Bluffton, Ohio on July 4, 1959. He is survived by a son: Doug (Monica) Greiner of North Ridgeville, OH; two daughters: Barb (Chad) Andrews of Findlay and Bettie Otto of Muncie, IN: two sisters: Jeannie Zistler and Sue Groves. Waldo has 10 beautiful grandchildren: Jessica, Tuane, Tianna, Lindsey, Colin, Allie, Gatlin, Rhiannon, Jacob, and Susan.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Clarence Greiner Jr.
He served in the United States Navy.
Waldo worked at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company for 32 years as a tire builder, retiring in 2000
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and the Catholic Diocese of Toledo Caiseal
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel with a rosary service at 7:30 pm.
Religious Service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 10:30 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, downtown with Father Shaji Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Michael's cemetery.

Donald A. Rooney
September 13, 1928 ~ March 30, 2009
Mr. Donald Alfred Rooney, 80, of Findlay, passed away at 12:20 pm on Monday, March 30, 2009 while in the company of family members at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
Mr. Rooney was born in Sylvania, Ohio on September 13, 1928, the son of the late Edward S. and Louisa (Halker) Rooney.
Don married
Beverly (Palmer) Rooney on May 22, 1950 in Findlay, Ohio. She survives him.
He is survived by his two sons: David (Dr. Amy Saunders) Rooney of Ann Arbor, MI and Phil (Tamera) Rooney of Findlay; his two daughters: Ann (Thomas) McDermott of Bowling Green, OH and Jill (Franz) Weckesser of Bellbrook, OH. He is also survived by three sisters: Rosemary Redman of Encino CA; Ann Urbanski of Findlay, OH and Maureen Voorhees of Ann Arbor, MI; two brothers: Jim Rooney of Findlay, OH and Tom Rooney of Oxnard, CA and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Gerard, John, Norm, Patrick and Edward Rooney.
Don retired in 1998 after a longtime career as a Real Estate Agent, Broker and Developer.
Don served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where he flew on a B-36 as a Radar Gunner.
He was a member of the Elks, American Legion, K of C and the Mill-Six. He was a founding member of the Pits, Rod and Gun Club. Don was the past President of Findlay Board of Realtors and the Findlay Homebuilders Association.
Visitation will be held at Routson Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 3, 2009 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, downtown with Father Jeff McBeth officiating.
Memorial donations can be made in Don’s honor to St. Michael the Archangel Church 617 W. Main Cross or Bridge Home Health and Hospice 15100 Birchaven Lane both of Findlay, Ohio 45840 and to the Donor’s Choice of Charity.

Robert Earl Green
June 4, 1933 ~ March 5, 2009
Robert Earl Green, 75, passed away at 7:38 am, Thursday, March 5, 2009 while in the company of family members at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Mr. Green was born in Houcktown, OH on June 4, 1933, the son of the late Lloyd and Opal (Fickle) Green.
Robert married
Marjorie (Post) Green in Fostoria, Ohio in December 1953. They enjoyed 55 years together.
He is survived by three children: Debra (Doug) Bonnell of Springboro, OH; Bob (Ellen) Green of Findlay and Julia (Dennis) Preston of Findlay. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Jennifer, Tara, Meredith, Melissa, and Samantha; four great grandchildren: Jordin, Ella, Braden and Kennedi; four brothers: Rolland (Jean) Green of Ely, MN; Ralph (Norma) Green of Findlay; Richard (Ruth) Green of Cincinnati, OH; and James (Ardith) Green of Findlay; one sister-in-law: Mary Roose of Findlay.
He was a diesel mechanic for over 40 years. He has worked for Matlack Trucking and United Trucking Findlay. He retired after 30 years from Signal Trucking.
He served in the United States Army as a Diesel Repairman.
Robert was a basketball and football referee for high school athletics in Hancock County and the surrounding counties for 30 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. His pride and joy was a 1947 Chevy he had restored and his Honda Goldwing Trike.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 1-3 pm at Routson Funeral Chapel. A Religious Service will follow directly at 3 pm with Rev. Todd Frail officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s honor to the Donors Choice of charity.
