Miriam V. Spaeth

Miriam V. Spaeth, after nearly 90 years of journey finally reached home at 11:25pm Friday, November 5, 2010 at Good Samaritan Center in Arlington. Her Saviour was waiting with the lights on and her beloved Timer was there to welcome her. Miriam was born in Dola, Ohio in 1920, to Jason Thomas and Helen (Baughman) Thomas. She married Waldemar (Timer) Spaeth in 1937 and he was the love of her life. She lived in Jenera from early in her life until some five years ago when she went into Assisted Living. Being a small town girl didn't stop Miriam from expanding her horizons. She traveled to Oberamagau, Germany to see the Passion Play, to the Holy Land and was baptized in the Jordan River, then on to Egypt to ride on a camel and see the pyramids. Also she took a trip to see her granddaughter in Italy and was at the Vatican on Palm Sunday when the Pope gave the blessing. She toured Venice and did some mountain climbing when she was in her 70's. She also took many trips to Arizonia.
