Dorothy L. Wilfong, age 78, of Caldwell, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 19, 1927, in West Virginia, daughter of the late Orval Mack and Eva Thompson McGraw.

She was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church, Belle Valley.

Mrs. Wilfong was an avid bingo player.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Surviving are her husband, Henry Lee Wilfong; five sons, Henry (Pat) Wilfong, Jr. of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Michael (Geraldine) Wilfong of Kentucky, Roland Dale (Marie) Wilfong of West Virginia, Leroy (Diane) Wilfong of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Richard Wilfong (Luann Parr) of Caldwell; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Waneta) Wheeler of Caldwell and Mrs. Toby (Robin) Fear of Ravenna; two sisters, Phyllis Smith of Westlake and Shirley Colburn of Cleveland; 24 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 23, 2006, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Wednesday, May 24 at 1PM with Pastor Darrell Chapman officiating.

Burial will follow at Barry's Ridge cemetery.

Betty Lou McKee

Betty Lou McKee, age 73, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell.

She was born April 8, 1933, in Belle Valley, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Ralph Buckey.

Betty Lou was retired from the Yontz-Anderson Insurance Agency, Caldwell, and a member of the Amazon Chapter #30 Order of the Eastern Star and the Curley Qs Square Dance Group.

She was also a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Pleasant City.

She is survived by her husband, Carl B. McKee, whom she married March 8, 1953; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Carla) Jenkins and Mrs. Mike (Elizabeth) Clark, both of Caldwell; one son, Robert (Janie) McKee of Caldwell; eight grandchildren, including Abby, Ben, and Ian Jenkins and Logan, Morgan, and Tanner Clark; three step-granddaughters; two step-great-granddaughters; and a sister, Patricia Stiers of Belle Valley.

Friends may call Friday, May 26, 2006, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, and from 12PM to 1PM on Saturday, May 27th.

The service will be held Saturday, May 27, at 1PM with Pastor Katie Kerrigan officiating.

Burial will follow at Olive cemetery, Caldwell.

T. J. Huey, age 63, of Buffalo, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at his home.

He was born July 22, 1943, in Kansas City, Kansas, son of the late Benjamin and Delia Huey. He was a mechanic.

Surviving are one daughter, Teresa (Raymond) Briggs of Florida; four sons, Benjamin (Cathy) Huey, Timothy (Nicole) Huey, and James Huey, all of Buffalo, and Terry Huey of Byesville; one step-daughter, Luella (Mike) Peffer of Florida; two step-sons, Rex (Jennifer) Hall of Cumberland and William Hall of Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Wednesday, February 28, 2007, from 1-3PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be held following visitation at 3PM with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Max P. Grafe, age 73, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, where he resided for 27 years.

He was born December 11, 1933, in Steubenville, Ohio, where he attended the Steubenville "Big Red" High School.

He later attended the Golden Rule School and Workshop in Byesville.

Max blessed many people with his gift of playing the piano, keyboard, and guitar.

He had a strong faith in God and he was active in the church services at the nursing home.

He brightened the days of many people with his laughter and light-heartedness.

He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by the many who loved him.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 14, 2007, from 9AM-12:30PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, and from 1-4PM at the Summit Acres Nursing Home Chapel at 44565 Sunset Drive, Caldwell, where the funeral service will begin at 4PM with Jack Barnett officiating.

Hugh Archer Walters

Hugh Archer Walters, age 74, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, March 13, 2007, at his home.

He was born January 27, 1933, in Cambridge, Ohio, son of the late Dr. L.B. and Marjorie Smith Walters.

He was a 1953 graduate of Caldwell High School, where he was a basketball standout.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War with his twin brother, Roger Walters. He was employed as an airline transportation agent with Western Airlines, living in Phoenix, Arizona, West Yellowstone, Montana, Salt Lake City, Utah, and ultimately returning to Ohio.

Western Airlines later merged with Delta Airlines, from which he retired after 37 years of service.

He was a member of the Noble County Historical Society.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin brother, Roger, and a sister, Marcella.

Surviving are his wife, Deleen Thueson Walters, whom he married January 10, 1974; his children, Sherry (Joseph) Riley of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Kent (Ali) Klingler of Boise, Idaho, Bob (Billie) Klingler, Terese (Alan) Nield, and Denise Jones, all of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine (Joseph) Lavelle of Troy and Ardie Clifford of Columbus; and eight nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday, March 16, 2007, from 7-8:30PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17 at 1PM.

Veterans services will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Services Organization.

Dorothy R. Crock, age 86, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born March 24, 1920, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Edward and Rose Michel Crock.

She was a graduate of the former Fulda High School, and she was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Summit Acres Nursing Home for twelve years.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fulda, where she served as a lector and member of the parish council, and where she was a life member of its Catholic Women's Club.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Father Herman Crock, who died December 18, 1981.

Surviving are a sister, Leona C. Frank of Louisville, Ohio; and twelve nieces and nephews, Joseph Gary Frank of Malvern, Beth Frank of Mantua, John Frank and Richard Frank, both of Alliance, Carol Glover of Green Cove, Florida, William Frank, Thomas Frank, Donald Frank, Karen Conley, Charles Frank, and Anne Eddleman, all of Louisville, and Mary Rose Ginther of Hartville.

Friends may call Tuesday, March 20, 2007, from 9AM-5PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where Christian Scripture Service will be held at 4:30PM, and from 10-11AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, where Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow at 11AM with Father Samuel Saprano as celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church cemetery, Fulda.
