Louis "Louie" E. Feasel

Louis"Louie" Feasel, 82, formerly of Ash Street, Kansas, Ohio, died Monday at Valley View Health Care Center, Fremont, July 26, 2004.
He was born July 22, 1922 in Liberty Twp. Seneca County, Ohio to Frank and Barbara (Kleinfelter) Feasel, and they are both deceased.
He married Lois, "Toots" M. Yoder on June 30, 1943 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiffin.
Surviving is his wife, Lois Feasel, 1 son, Carl Feasel, Kansas, Ohio, 2 daughters, Mrs Clark(Janet) Boatman, Kansas Ohio, and Mrs. Joe (Lu Ann) Lauer, East Sparta, Ohio.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a sister, Pauline Kuhn, and brothers, Urban Feasel and Robert Feasel, both of Tiffin.
A brother, Francis Feasel, a sister, Margie Gay and 2 great granddaughters preceeded him in death.
Mr. Feasel retired in 1976 from Basic Inc., in Bettsville. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Kansas, and American Legion Post #733.
He was a US Navy Veteran, serving during WWII.
He enjoyed camping with his wife, fishing and hunting.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 AM in St. James Catholic Church, Kansas with Rev.Theodore A. Miller officiating.
Burial will be at Kansas cemetery where Military Honors will take place.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4:00PM.
Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice of Tiffin.

Clarissa A. Went

The family of Clarissa Agnes Went, 94, are saddened to announce her passing in Fostoria Community Hospital on Monday, July 12, 2004. Clarissa was born April 2, 1910 in Amsden, Ohio to John R. and Gertrude (Slemmer) Reed.
She married Howard M. Went on August 25, 1935 in Fostoria, and he died February 1, 1974. One sister, Mrs Blaine(Mildred) Hummel and her parents preceeded her in death.
She retired from Ohio Bureau of Employment Services after 28 years.
Clarissa was a lifelong and faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church, and supporter of the Geary Family YMCA, and its arthritis aquatics class. She also enjoyed her cat, "Patches".
She was a world traveler who appreciated nature and loved gardening. She was a 1928 graduate of Jackson High School in Amsden, and member of a Tiffin University Alumni.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 15, at 11:00am in Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria where a spiritual celebration of Clarissa's life will take place with Reverand Dr. Larry Knigga, officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8PM at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria and also Thursday Morning at the church from 10-11am, before the service.
Memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 151 W. Center St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.

Irene "Rene" C. Stump

Irene "Rene" Stump, age 57 of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday, July 9, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital, in Maumee.
She was born March 25, 1947 in Fostoria to J. NIcholas and Lucia T. (Korczyk) Kiebel, they are deceased.
She married Robert Stump in Fostoria, and he survives in Maumee. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs Jason (Rachael) Nickel, Utica, New York and Mrs. Nathan (Monica) Hill, 3 sons, Adam Stump, Chicago, Ill., Lucas Stump, Maumee and Aaron Stump, Wyoming, two grandchildren, Lily & Nickel, 4 sisters, Mrs Dale (Theresa) Heilman, Fostoria, Ms. Patricia Beecher, Old Saybrook, CT, Mrs James (Judith) Newcomer, Apple Valley, Ohio, and Mrs.Ron (Margaret) Daignault, Washington D.C. and 1 brother, John C.Kiebel, Minneapolis, MN
Rene was a homemaker and X-Ray Technologist, graduating from Maumee Valley School of Radiology. She graduated from St. Wendelin High School in 1965. Rene loved her family and her faith. She was a very gifted and talented craftsperson.
A reception and memorial service will be held Tuesday July 13th, from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Stump home, 1246 Old Trail, Maumee, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to Assistance Dogs of America, 8806 State Rt #64, Swanton, Ohio 43558 or Lupus of NW Ohio, 1710 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay, Ohio 45840.

Josephine E. Shock

Josephine E. Shock, 86, of Fredricksburg, Virginia, formerly of Toledo, Fostoria and Findlay died on Wednesday morning in Mary Washington Hospital, Fredricksburg, VA.
Mrs. Shock was born September 1, 1917 in Toledo, Ohio to Peter and Rose (Renard) Jeko. She was married on February 27, 1937 to Rogers Tl Shock in Auburn, IN, and he died on September 29, 1981.
She is survived by 4 daughters; Mrs. Paul(Nancy) Brose, McCutchenville, Betty Swett, North Port, Florida, Mrs. William (Jan) Payne, Columbus, Ohio and Suzanne Hurst, Superior, Colorado, also, 15 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 1 Brother, Joseph Jeko, Toledo, Ohio.
Three Brothers, Bernard, Nicholas, and Willard Jeko and one sister, Margaret Jeko are deceased.
Josephime was a homemaker, owner/operator of the former Hobby & Yarn Shop, Fostoria for many years, and retired from JC Penney store, Findlay.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Frenchtown, and a graduate of Woodward High School, Toledo, and a volunteer for many years at the Blanchard Valley Hospital's gift shop, Findlay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:30am in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Frenchtown with Father Ron Schock, officiating.
Burial will be at St. Nicholas Parish cemetery. Visitation is Sunday 2-4 & 6-8PM at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria where a Christian wake service will take place a 4PM, and visitaion will be 1 hour before the Mass at church on Monday (9:30-10:30am)
Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Church.

Michael N. Kentris

Michael Kentris, 83, died peacefully after a brief illness, Tuesday morning, July 6, 2004 at his home in Findlay. Mr. Kentris was born May 14, 1921 in Ecorse, Michigan to Nicholas and Clara (Lyristes) Kentris. He married Mary Cassimatis on June 27, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan. She preceeded him in death.
Mr. Kentris is survived by a beloved companion, Wilma Abbott, Findlay, one daughter, Mrs. Vincent (Alexandra) Wolph, Fostoria, three
sons, Dr. Nicholas Kentris, Fostoria, George Kentris, Findlay, Dr. William Kentris, Findlay, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, three sisters Alexandra Sarris, Johnstown, NY, Maria Yatros, Trenton, MI, and Evelyn Jones, Trenton, MI and two brothers, Steve Kentris, Dover, NH and James Kentris, Atwater, OH
Michael was a 1939 graduate of Ecorse High School and later studied Engineering at Lawrence Institute of Technology for 2 years in Detroit. He worked for the Ford Motor Company, operated a service station in Cleveland. He worked for Atlas Crankshaft, then owned and operated the Burger Chef restaurants in Findlay, Fostoria, Tiffin, and Toledo.From 1982 to present Michael was a Taco Bell franchisee where he received several awards. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Toledo.
Funeral Services will be Friday 10:30 AM in Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria with Reverand Aristotle Damaskos officiating.
Visitation is Thursday, July 8, 1-4 & 7-9PM at Hoening Funeral Hime, 242 West Tiffin St. Fostoria where a Trisigon service will take place a 7Pm.
Memorials are suggested to the Kentris Memorial Scholarship Fund C/O Hoening Funeral Home.

ANNIE CATHERINE TANKS

ANNIE CATHERINE TANKS, 92, of Hickory Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
Miss Tanks was born in Punxsutawney, Pa. on March 25, 1912, a daughter of the late David L. and Annie M. (Cromley) Tanks.
She was a retired librarian at Martins Ferry High School and a member of the Martins Ferry Historical Society.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Tanks and Lois Poling.
She is survived by one brother, Norman B. Tanks, Staunton, Va.; two nephews, David L. Tanks and his wife Martha of Verona, Va. and Roger D. Tanks and his wife, Jean of St. Augustine, Fl.; two great nephews, Eric D. Tanks of Harrisonburg, Va. and Chris Byatt of St. Augustine, Fl.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Friday, May 14, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

CONNIE J. KUNZE

CONNIE J. KUNZE, 42, of So. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at her residence.
Connie was born in Bellaire, Ohio on November 23, 1961, a daughter of Jack G. Shreve Sr. and Merrel L. (Green) Kidder, both of Neffs, Ohio.
She was employed as a crew leader at Ziegenfelder Ice Cream Co. of Wheeling, W. Va. for five years.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy D. Shreve.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Donald Kunze Jr.; a daughter, Sherry L. wife of Trampas Schramm, St. Clairsville, Ohio; a son, Brian T. Palmer, Martins Ferry; brother, Jack husband of Candy Shreve Jr., Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Brenda S. wife of Robert Angus, Shadyside, Ohio and Merrel E. Shreve, Neffs, Ohio; two grandchildren, Cory Jacob A. Schramm and Courtney L. Schramm both of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Sunday, May 30, 2004 at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

DAVID LUTZ, 52, of N. 3rd Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W. Va.
Arrangements are pending.

FORREST H. ULLOM, JR.

FORREST H. ULLOM, JR., "THE GAS MAN", 87, of Elm Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on August 11, 1920, he was the son of the late Forrest H. and Fredricka (Hahne) Ullom.
He was a member of First Christian Church Martins Ferry; and a retired employee of Columbia Gas of Ohio; a volunteer for Opals Keenagers of East Ohio Regional Hospital and Ohio Valley Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Irvine I. Ullom; five sisters, Mildred Ullom, Blanche Hunkler, Pearl Vance, Dorothy Braun and Mabel Thatcher.
Forest is survived by his wife of 66 years, his high school sweetheart, Inece L. (Hores) Ullom; two sons, Robert L. Ullom, Blue Ridge, Georgia and James L. Ullom, Martins Ferry; daughter, Debra S. Harasuik, Martins Ferry; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Bill Fulton officiating.
Interment was held at the convenience of the family in Greenwood cemetery, Wheeling, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to House of the Carpenter, 200 So. Front Street, Wheeling, W. Va. 26003.
