MARTHA MAZUR, 95, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014.
She was born in Shadyside, OH on June 24, 1919, daughter of the late Andrew and Martha (Evanczyk) Hulboy.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church Colerain, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Mazur; daughter, Dianne; brother, Henry Hulboy and son in law, Neal Simpson.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Simpson and Jeanette Mertz, both of Colerain, OH: three grandchildren, Michael (Terri) Simpson; Andrew (Mary) Simpson; Bobbie Jo Pettit and six great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain, OH at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 with Msgr. John Kolesaras as the celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mount Calvary cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 72617 Colerain St. Bridgeport, OH 43912 or Colerain Fire Dept. Colerain, OH 43916

EVELYN J. MATZ

EVELYN J. MATZ, 93, Pattons Run Rd. Martins Ferry, OH, died, Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
Evelyn was born in Martins Ferry, OH on July 29, 1921, the daughter of the late James and Delia (Anderson) Greer.
She was a retired seamstress from the former Bobbie Brooks Inc. Bellaire, OH., where she was employed for 28 years.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a son, Darrell Matz.
She is survived by two sons, Brett (Jera) and Bob (Holly) Matz, both of Martins Ferry; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services are private at the convenience of family.

JUNE J. FROHNAPFEL

JUNE J. FROHNAPFEL, 90, of Stonehouse Place, Bridgeport, OH, died Monday, October 13, 2014.
She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on April 6, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Davis) Jones.
She was a retired 20 year employee of the former Stone and Thomas of Wheeling, WV.
June was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, and a member of the Catholic Women's Club, of Colerain, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray; grandson, Brad Frohnapfel; and several brothers and sister.s
She is survived by a son, Raymond (Chris) Frohnapfel, Jr., Northampton, PA; two daughters, Sandy (Ken) Fogle, Martins Ferry, OH; Penny (Bruce) Shane, Bridgeport, OH; six grandchildren, Wendy (Larry) Hanasky; Karen (Michael) Mamone; Carrie (Shawn) Kunes; K.C. (Lashawnda) Fogle; Jason (Gina) Shane; Kellen Shane; eleven great-grandchildren Madison, Taylor and Kyle Fogle; Gianna, Luca, Sophia and Kolson Shane; Quinn and Aliyah Mamone; Sloan and Landen Hanasky.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will begin at noon on Friday, October 16, 2014 at the funeral home.
Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

BRADY LEROY CONNER

BRADY LEROY CONNER, 76, of Clinton Streeet, Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, October 19, 2014.
Brady was born in Martins Ferry, OH on January 22, 1938, a son of the late George Q. and Mary Ann (Gump) Conner.
He was a retired brick layer and a member of Brick Layers Local #1 of Wheeling, WV.
In addition to his parents, Brady was preceded in death by a grandson, Alexander; three brothers, Don, James and Pete; three sisters, Eileen Smith, Carolyn Lewis and Cleo Sapp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn (Cominsky) Conner; son, Timonthy J. Conner, daughter, Connie J. (Robert) Pollock, son, Frank G. Conner, all of Martins Ferry; brother, Russell A. (Nancy) Conner, Wheeling, WV; six grandchildren, Nicole, Jamie and Jonathan Conner; Conner Pollock; George and William Hulsey; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Elana.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Kevin Quirk officiating.

BELVA MAY WILLIAMS

BELVA MAY WILLIAMS, 97, of Martins Ferry, OH passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014.
She was born in Martins Ferry on July 8, 1917, a daughter of the late Charles and Ida May (Spencer) Briggs.
Belva was a member of the V.F.W., Yorkville, OH.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Harold E. Williams she was preceded in death by brother, Chuck Briggs; sister, Bernice Clark; half brother, Gomer James; three half sister, Marie Logue, Hazel Stullenburg and Mabel Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Lee Donley, Colerain, OH; Lana (William) Graaf, Mansfield, OH; Billie D. (Phillip) Hartman, Martins Ferry, OH; six grandchildren: Thomas (Debbie) Donley; Kimberly (Edward) Hoffman; George (Erin) Donley; William Graaf, Jr.; Michelle (Mike) Davis; Phillip Hartman; twelve great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren
Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, November 1, 2014 at noon with Rev. David Stammerjohn officiating.
Interment will follow in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association / Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 3695 Boardman-Canfield Rd., Suite 301B, Canfield, Ohio 44406.

JACK E. DOWNING

JACK E. DOWNING, 93, of Bridgeport, OH, died Monday, November 24, 2014.
He was born in Wheeling, WV on April 1, 1921, a son of the late William and Nellie (Nash) Downing.
He was a retired employee of the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel plant of Benwood, WV.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Lydia S. Keedy he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Jack is survived by a daughter, Jackie (William) Briggs of Martins Ferry and a sister, Virginia Graff, of Syracuse, IN. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

CAROLYN J. CONNER

CAROLYN J. CONNER, 75, of Clinton Street, Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at her residence.
Carolyn was born in Glen Robbins, OH on June 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen M. (Wnek) Cominsky.
She was a retired knitting instructor at Eastern Gateway Community College of Steubenville, OH.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Brady L. Conner on October 19th of this year; brother, John Cominsky and a grandson, Alexander Conner.
She is survived by son, Timonthy J. Conner; daughter, Connie J. (Rob) Pollock; son, Frank G. Conner, all of Martins Ferry; sister, Eileen M. Armstrong, Florida; sister, Delores A. (Mike) Wills, Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Nicole, Jamie and Jonathan Conner; Conner Pollock; George and William Hulsey; two great grandchildren, Alexandria and Elana and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11 a.m.

ROBERT ALAN VOYTECEK

ROBERT ALAN VOYTECEK, 87, of N. 7th Street Martins Ferry, OH, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Martins Ferry, OH on September 3, 1927, a son of the late Joseph A. and Anna (Zupko) Voytecek.
He was a retired employee at the former Consolidated Aluminum, Hannibal, OH and a former Ohio State Highway Patrolman.Robert was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1421 and a member of the American Legion Post 38, all of Martins Ferry. He also served in the U.S. Marines.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Betty J. (Cevola) Voytecek he was preceded in death by a sister, Anna M. Tratar and a brother, Joseph R. Voytecek.
He is survived by daughter, Barbara L. Rodak, Omaha, NE; three sons, Robert J. Voytecek, Brian A. (Leanna) Voytecek, both of Denver, CO; Barry M. (Kelly) Voytecek, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; companion, Estell Popp.
Friends will be received Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, with Rev. Tom Marut as the celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Wake service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, N. 4th Street, Martins Ferry, OH 43935.

CAROL R. (CRAWLEY) HOPKINS

CAROL R. (CRAWLEY) HOPKINS, 70, of Spence Lane, Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, December 21, 2014.
She was born in Cleveland, OH on May 24, 1944, daughter of the late Howard J. and Goldie M. (Burns) Crawley.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry.
Carol is survived by her husband, Eugene R. Hopkins; son, Raymond H. Hopkins, Wyoming, DE; two daughters, Kay A. (Frank) Hudson, Lincoln, DE; Marian I. (Joe) Hudson, Columbus, OH; brother, Howard Joseph Crawley, Steubenville, OH. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 5 until time of service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Larry Lewis officiating.

CLARICE V. STANLEY

CLARICE V. STANLEY, 91, of Vine Street, Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 peacefully.
She was born in Taylors Ridge, WV on November 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Berrell and Florence Arlena (Blake) Eller.
Clarice attended the Elliott School of Business; She was office manager at Teamsters Local Union #697 Wheeling, WV. She retired in 1983.She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Catholic Woman's Club of Martins Ferry;
Mound Chapter D.A.R., Moundsville, WV; Rev. War Ancestor Peter Yoho; Assistant Registrar 1984-1985 and Registrar 1996-2001; Marshall Co. Historical Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Stanley; son, Mark Steven Stanley and a brother, Ralph Eller
She is survived by two sons, Robert M. Stanley, Los Gatos, CA; Lawrence J. (Jacalyn) Stanley, Buffalo Grove, IL; three granddaughters, Lauren, Bridget and Jill; sister-in-law, Roberta Warren, Columbia, TN; brother, Charles Eller.
Friends will be received Friday, December 26, 2014 from 11 until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Tom Marut officiating.
Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

JACKIE LOU COCHRAN

JACKIE LOU COCHRAN, 80, of Mercer Road, St. Clairsville, OH, died Sunday, December 28, 2014.
Jackie was born in Martins Ferry, OH on September 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Earl and Elsie Jo (Martin) Cochran.
She was a retired registered nurse at the former Martins Ferry Hospital; a 70 year member of the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry and a deconess for 15 years; a 55 year member of the Ruth Brant School of Nursing alumni and a active member of the Colerain Ruritan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Elden Cochran; sister, Shirley Dutton; two aunts, Norma and Margaret Martin.
She is survived by three nieces, Cindy (Michael) Goudy, Columbus, OH; Cheryl (Kenneth) Walton, Hagerstown, MD; Cathy (George) Keproes, St. Clairsville, OH; two nephews, John Anzak, Hannibal, OH; James (Brenda) Anzak, St. Clairsville, OH; four great nieces; five great nephews; two great-great nieces; two great-great nephews; sister-in-law, Rita Cochran, St. Clairsville, OH.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Henry Lewis officiating.
Interment at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 710 So. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
