DELATHION ANTONIO CECE BOXLEY, 43, of N. 9th Street, Martins Ferry, OH, died Monday, December 29, 2014.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 16, 1971, he was the son of the late Nathaniel and Sandra Gail Boxley who survives him of Philadelphia.
He was a former cook at Applebee's Restaurant. He was a member of the muslim faith.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Crystal (Joyce) Boxley; three children: Delathion Boxley, Jr., Jawaan Boxley and Charles White; six siblings, Larry Boxley, Jacquline Boxley, Crystal Boxley, Shamyra Boxley, Robert Smoot and Celene Morrison; host of nieces, nephews and cousins, Philadelphia, PA and NC.
Memorial service at St. John's Grade School Hall, Bellaire, OH on January 2, 2015 at 11 a.m.

ROBERT EVANS LURTY

ROBERT EVANS LURTY, "GUS", 76, of St. Clairsville, OH, died Saturday, January 10, 2015.
He was born in Wheeling, WV on November 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Robert Evans and Rita Ignatous (Little) Lurty.
He was a retired Deputy Chief of United States Secret Service, Uniform Division; a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church of Wheeling, WV. He served in the U.S. Marines.
Gus is survived by his wife, Joan Theresa (Paul) Lurty; daughter, Lisa Ann Lurty, Woodbridge, VA; sister, Mary Ellen Lurty, Bethlehem, WV.
Friends are invited to a memorial mass which will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 640 Old Fairmont Pike, Wheeling, at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 16, with Father Dennis Schuelkens as the celebrant.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Our Lady of Peace Church.

STEPHEN E. WHETSELL

STEPHEN E. WHETSELL, 60, of Howard Street, Bridgeport, OH, died Sunday, January 11, 2015.
He was born in Steubenville, OH on October 9, 1954, he was the son of the late Elliott G. and Virginia (Simera) Whetsell.
Steve was employed at Wheeling Island Race Track Wheeling, WV.
He is survived by daughter, Neely L. Whetsell, Martins Ferry, OH; two brothers, Eugene Whetsell, Columbus, OH and Ronald (Lydia) Whetsell of Brilliant, OH.
Friends will be received Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 5 until time of service at 7 p.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.

TIMOTHY LEE RAY, "T-BONE"

TIMOTHY LEE RAY, "T-BONE", 49, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, January 25, 2015.
Tim was born in Martins Ferry on April 27, 1965, he was the son of John and Betty (Bowie) Ray of Martins Ferry.
He was a retired cook at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Ray.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann (Burress) Ray; three sons, Duncan Burress, Christian Zane and Davian Ray; daughter, Devon Burress; granddaughter, Audrina Burress; four brothers, Leon, Stefon, Shaun and Fred; three sisters, Evonne, Michelle and Dawnette; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 until time of service at 7 p.m. with Pastor James Agnew officiating.

MARY E. WONSIK

MARY E. WONSIK, 70, formerly of Yorkville, OH, died Sunday, February 1, 2015.
Mary was born in Martins Ferry, OH on December 24, 1944, the daughter of the late John and Rose Elaine (Beazel) Wonsik.
She was a Catholic by faith.
Mary is survived by two brothers, Stanley A. Wonsik, Indiana and John W. Wonsik, Spotsylvania, VA.
Services are private at the convenience of family.
Interment at St. Mary's cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.

MARY MONICA OBERDICK

MARY MONICA OBERDICK, 80, of Heils Lane, Sunset Heights, Bridgeport, OH died Monday, May 11, 2015 at her residence.
Mary was born in Wheeling, WV on August 9, 1934, the daughter of the late George Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Shutler) Weiskircher.
She was a retired telephone operator for A.T.&T. She was a Catholic by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Oberdick and one brother, John Weiskircher.
She is survived by a brother, George H. (Sally) Weiskircher, Meridan, ID; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday, May 18, 2015 from 10 until time of a memorial service at 12 noon with Rev. Tom Marut officiating.
Interment at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
Mary was an avid animal lover and her wish was for memorial donations in lieu of flowers to be made to the Belmont Co. Animal Rescue League, 45244 Nat'l. Rd., West, St. Clairsville, OH 43950 or Sunset Heights VFD, 69604 Sunset Heights, Bridgeport, OH 43912.

ELEANOR JANE YODER

ELEANOR JANE YODER, 85, of Bridgeport, OH, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on March 2, 1930, a daughter of the late John Thomas and Frances Ann (Striff) Lewis.
She was a member of Colerain Presbyterian Church, Colerain, OH. and a member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, John Yoder; two sisters,
Ruth Lewis and Dorothy Ellis and a brother, John Lewis.
Eleanor is survived by two sons, John S. (Karen) Yoder, Martins Ferry and Todd C. (Rhonda) Yoder, Bridgeport; three daughters, Leanne Smith, Cleveland, Gail (Odell) Jackson, Pataskala, Jill E. (Dwayne) Rader, Granville; ten grandchildren, John (Brittany), Karley (Zack), Frances, Jamie, Austin, Chas, Taylor, Logan, Cassidy and Rex; great-grandson, Johnny.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating.
Interment will follow in Weeks cemetery, Bridgeport.
Memorial contributions may be made to Colerain Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 96, Colerain, OH 43916

CHARLOTTE EVELYN BRIGGS

CHARLOTTE EVELYN BRIGGS, 92, formerly of Virginia Street, Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, May 23, 2015.
She was born in Tiltonsville, OH on September 17, 1922, the daughter of the late Edward and Kathryn (Kiss) Briggs.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Jr., Fred and Ted Briggs; sister, Wilma I. Mears.
She is survived by a sister, Betty (Leslie) Douglas of Martins Ferry; several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held and interment in Riverview cemetery.

MARGARET MARY BROSE

MARGARET MARY BROSE, 87, formerly of Garden Park Terrace, Wheeling, WV, died Friday, May 29, 2015.
She was born in New York, N.Y. on January 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna M. (McGuiness) Spence.
In addition to her parents and her husband, James F. Brose, she was preceded in death by a brother, George; two sisters, Georgianna Kuhn and Caroline Esgro. Ellen Telesino, Barbara Evans and Kathy Rosenthal.
She is survived by a daughter, Maureen G. (Frank) Larkin, Martins Ferry, OH; son, James F. (Carolyn) Brose, Wheeling, WV; brother, Robert Spence, New York; five sisters, Genevieve Meyer; Jean Kelly, Ellen Telesino, Barbara Evans and Kathy Rosenthal. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Tom Marut officiating. Interment will be held in New York.

JENNIFER SUE VOYTECEK

JENNIFER SUE VOYTECEK, 56, of Ellett Street, Martins Ferry, OH passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
She was born in New Martinsville, WV on November 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Harley Fay and Mary Elizabeth (Lemasters) Wright.
She was a retired manager at Advance Auto Parts of Bellaire, OH and a former employee of A.T. & T. of St. Clairsville, OH. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and David Wright
In addition to her husband, Joseph R. Voytecek she is survived by two sons, Jeremy P. (Melissa) Voytecek and Anthony J. Voytecek, both of Martins Ferry; two grandsons, Joseph and Nicholas; two granddaughters, Kara and Kayla and a great-granddaughter.
Friends will be received Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, with Rev. Tom Marut as the celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Wake service will be held at 7:30 Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to SMC 2000, 24 N. 4th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.

JOHN TASSO

JOHN TASSO, 86, of Huber Heights, OH passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015.
John was born in Dayton, OH on May 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Guf and Eukhem (John) Tasso.
He was a retired auditor. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest and a sister, Pauline Tasso.
In addition to his wife, Jacqueline (Keller) Tasso, he is survived by a nephew, Gus Tasso of Maui, HI and a niece, Arleen Marcum, Las Vegas.
Friends will be received at the funeral home, Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 10 until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association/Ohio Valley Affiliate P.O. Box 163549, Columbus, Ohio 43216-3549.

PHYLLIS JEANETTE (KUNZE) TATE

PHYLLIS JEANETTE (KUNZE) TATE, age 83, died peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2015.
Born July 28, 1931 in Martins Ferry, Ohio; she was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Mary (Wagener) Kunze. Phyllis married Jesse K. Tate on Sept. 20, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by daughter Julie and her husband Lee Gotschalk of Sparta, VA and son Alan and his wife Shelly Tate of Bryan, OH. She is survived by five grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, and Samuel Gotschalk of Virginia; Nicholas and Matthew Tate of Ohio. She is also survived by a brother Ronald (Jane) Kunze of Martins Ferry, Ohio and a sister, Suzanne (Henry) Phemester of Martins Ferry, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Wilfred, Donald and John Kunze.
Phyllis was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and Ohio University. She was a member of Riverview Bible Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She had also been a member of the Colerain Homemakers Club. She loved gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 25 from 6 to 8 pm at Keller Funeral Home - Martins Ferry. Funeral service will be at Keller's on Friday, June 26 at 11 am.
Interment private.
Special thanks to the dedicated caregivers at Poet's Walk in Spotsylvania, VA and Fountain Park Inn in Bryan, OH.

"VI" SCHWENDER McGEE

"VI" SCHWENDER McGEE, 68, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away at home on Sunday, June 21, 2015.
She leaves behind her loving husband, James H. McGee; three children: Daina (Alan) Wasserstron, James McGee, Jr. and Lisa (Harry) Richards; four grandchildren: Maggie, Michael, Dominic and Jacob.
Private services will be held, per her wishes.
