HARVEY W. LECHNER, JR., 58, of Barton-Crescent Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Penna. on November 12, 1946, a son of the late Harvey W. and Evelyn E. (Centennial) Lechner who survives him of Mount Airy, N. C.
Harvey was a retired truck driver and a member of Grace Baptist Church, St. Clairsville, Ohio. He also served in the U. S. Navy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Blakeslee); two sons, John P. Lechner, Rayland, Ohio and Richard J. Lechner, Martins Ferry, Ohio; three daughters, Mary Ann and Rebecca Lechner, both of Bridgeport, Ohio and Deborah L. Lechner, Lexington, S. C.; three brothers, William E., Edward and Kenneth Lechner; four sisters, Rosemary McGarruh, Cathy Lechner, Diane Barnhardt and Barbara Lechner. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Milton Sumner officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

JAMES E. CONNER, 68, formerly of Hartman Manor, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Monday, March 28, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on May 18, 1936, a son of the late George and Mary (Gump) Conner.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald E. and George Conner and two sisters, Mary A. Smith and Carolyn P. Lewis.
He is survived by two brothers, Brady Conner, Martins Ferry and Russell Conner, Wheeling, W. Va.; sister, Cleo Sapp, Martins Ferry.
A Celebration of Life service was held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2005. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

RUTH M HIMEL, 79, of Jones Lane, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Monday, March 21, 2005 at her residence.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on January 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Owen and Effie Lee (Halm) Jones.
She was a Protesant by faith; a retired employee of Convenient Food Mart and Krogers both of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Himel; three sisters, Muriel Schramm, Mary Emma Fetherling and Effie Lee Eberhart and son-in-law, W. Brent Vensel.
She is survived by a son, Richard Scott (Mary) Harris, Martins Ferry, Ohio; daughter, Jan Vensel, Pickerington, Ohio; two granddaughters, Wendy Harris and Jessi Vensel; her little blond grand baby, Tanner; two sisters, Hope Brim, Tallahassee, Florida and Carol Lojas, Martins Ferry, Ohio; three step-grandchildren, Rhonda (Louis) Boston, Ron (Tricia) Graham, Ted (Becky) Hitchman. She is also survived by six step great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service was held Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Mausoleum entombment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers Ruth had requested that doing a good deed for someone else would be a fitting tribute to her memory.

MARY M. HUGHES, 76, of Wayne L. Hayes Towers, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Friday, April 1, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on January 2, 1929, a daughter of the late Hayes and Alice (Donley) Conaway.
She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hughes; son, Robert Hughes, Jr. and two sisters, Lorraine McGlothlin and Martha Mortakes.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra J. (William) Dagan, Greensboro, N. C. ; son, Mark H. (Janice) Hughes, Martins Ferry; four brothers, George, Kenneth, Carl and Wiliam Conaway; three sisters, Virginia Hinzey, Jean Delelles and Helen Miller. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Tuesday, April, 5, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

JOSEPH E. McMILLAN, 57, of April Street, Dillonvale, Ohio, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
He was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on July 30, 1947, a son of the late John E. and Margaret (Lecocq) McMillan.
He was a railroad repairman for Norfolk-Southern Railroad. He served in the U. S. Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was also a member of V.F.W. Post 5356 of St. Clairsville, Ohio
He is survived by his wife, Sherry L. (Fetty) McMillan; daughter, Debbi J. McMillan, Dillonvale, Ohio; brother, Jon M. (Ruth) McMillan, also of Dillonvale; sister, Mari Ellen Posock, Cresent, Ohio and also three nieces.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April, 21, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Schrader, officiating. Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Military honors were conducted by the Belmont County Council of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

JAMES E. JONES, 71, of Park Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the residence of his son in Gahanna, Ohio.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on February 1, 1934, the son of the late David Kenneth and Leola Elizabeth (Newcombe) Jones.
Jim was a tool and die maker having retired from the Budd Co. out of Shelbyville, Ky. He was an Episcopalian by faith, a member of the Martins Ferry High School Alumni Assn. and Alumni Band, Ohio City Lodge # 486 F. & A.M., 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville and the Eagles Lodge of Martins Ferry. Jim was also a former volunteer EMT in Rushville, Ohio. He attended the Wheeling School of Art and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by son, James David (Beth) Jones, Gahanna, Ohio; daughter, Kimberly C. (Patrick) Simon, Pickerington, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Natalie (John) Coss, Hannibal, Ohio and Marcia (Chris) Long, Mt. Lebanon, Pa. He is also survived by five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Heller officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Ohio City Lodge #486 held services Friday at 2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Home Reach Hospice, Ohio Health Foundation, 3724 Olentangy River Rd., Suite G, Columbus, Ohio 43214-9988.

SAMUEL ALLEN MOORE, age 5, formerly of Bellaire, Oh, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Riley Childrens Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Samuel was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on March 3, 2000, the son of Stacey Moore of Moundsville, WVa. and Donna (Zajkowski) Moore of N. Vernon, Ind.
In addition to his parents; Samuel is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mary Wildey, Col, Oh.; paternal grandparents, Lou and Casey Nice, Martins Ferry; a great-grandmother, Madelyne Riffle, Hollywood, Fla; three aunts, Dawnette ( Lye) Diene, Col, Oh., Jennifer (Carlos) Francia, Davie, Fla. and Tammy (A.J. Beharri) Wildey, Hollywood Fla; a great aunt, Lynn (Richard Gump) Wagner, Martins Ferry; two uncles, Louie (Joyce) Nice, Martins Ferry and Shawn (Angie) Nice, Shadyside, Oh; and many more family and friends.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Interment followed in Linwood cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.

LEONA E. WILSON, 79, of Colerain-Mt. Pleasant Road, Colerain, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at her residence.
She was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on August 6, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Bertha M. (Fox) Frohnapfel.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club, both of Colerain, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert L. Frohnapfel and one grandson, Flynt Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Wilson; five sons: Charles J. (Sandy), Mark E. (Janice), Dale M. (Carla), Kevin L. (Marcie), all of Colerain, Ohio and Denis E. (Gretchen) Wilson, of Wheeling, W. Va.; two brothers, Raymond (June) and Edward (Lorraine) Frohnapfel, both of Colerain, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Lou Hawkins, Liberty, Pa. and Linda (Robert) Evans, Panama City, Florida; sister-in-law, Delores Frohnapfel, Colerain, Ohio. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and one great grandaughter.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain, Ohio at 11 a.m on Saturday, May 7, 2005, with Msgr. David Reasbeck as the celebrant. Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice Inc. 137 Waddles Run Rd. Wheeling, W. Va. 26003 or St. Frances Cabrini Church, 72617 Coleran St., Colerain, Ohio 43916.

RUTH A. NEAL, formerly of N. Erie Street, Wheeling, W. Va. died Sunday, May 29, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Long Term Care, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late John A. and Elsie (Romal) McGrail.
She was a retired secretary for New York Life Insurance Co. formerly of Wheeling and a member of St. John's Luthern Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell J. Neal.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Ellen McGrail of Martins Ferry.
Private service were held at the at the convenience of family.

HARRY L. DORSEY, 84, formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, in Whiting, New Jersey.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on November 23, 1920, a son of the late Albert and Josephine (Brehm) Dorsey.
He was a retired medical technician at St. Vincent's Hospital, Staten Island, N.Y..
He was a Catholic by faith and served in the U.S. Army during WWII
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Arthur, Raymond, Laurence, William and Elmer Dorsey.
He is survived by two sisters, Delores DeFede, Yorkville, Ohio and Joan Dorsey, Tiltonsville, Ohio; and Bob Wisnieski of New Jersey.
Funeral Liturgy With Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, with Rev. Father Charles Mascolino as the celebrant. Interment followed in St. Anthony's cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.

JAMES P. ZUPKO, 60, of Thomas Road, Colerain, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at his residence.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on May 26, 1945, the son of the late Paul P. and Agnes (Kunczt) Zupko.
He was employed as a machinist at General Electric, Dover, Ohio. Jim was a Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha S. (Pollock) Zupko; two sons, James P. (Laura) Zupko, Jr., Martins Ferry, Ohio and Brian J. (Shawnna) Zupko, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Pauline (Wade) Neely, Wellsburg, W. Va. and Marilyn K. Zupko, Colerain, Ohio; grandson, James P. Zupko, III, Martins Ferry; step grandson, Joey P. Wilson, Martins Ferry; step granddaughter, Courtney E. Wilson, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Funeral services and interment in Greenwood cemetery, Wheeling, W. Va. will be held at the convenience of the family.
