ANNA R. WALKER, 83, formerly of cemetery Road, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Medical Park Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on March 28, 1922, a daughter of the late Archibald and Jessie (Roberts) Alltop.
She was a retired employee of the former Piedmont Glove Co. and a member of the First Christian Church, both of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Walker; two grandsons, Matthew Edward and Kevin M. Walker; granddaughter, Joyce Ann Walker; two brothers, Russell and Edward Alltop; three sisters, Mary Alltop, Nettie Johnson and Murl Dine Rice.
She is survived by son, John A. (Patricia) Walker, Martins Ferry; two daughters, Sandra L. Brown, Martins Ferry and Charlotte A. (Ben) Elder, Moundsville, W. Va.; two sisters, Eleanor (Fred) Danehart, Bridgeport, Ohio and Shirley West, Martins Ferry. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Terry Erwin officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

MARGARET V. OWEN, 90, formerly of Martins Ferry and Tiltonsville, Ohio died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in Point Pleasant, WV.
She was born in Centerville, Iowa on September 3, 1914, the daughter of the late William O. and Mary Ester (Jones) Owen.
She was a retired employee of the former Union Bus Terminal of Wheeling, WV and a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a two cousins, Dorothy Conner and Crispin Jones.
She is survived by seven cousins: Dr. David L. (Joan) Mandry, Lisbon, OH; Ann M. Treharne, Vienna, WV; Lenore Campbell, Wheeling, WV; Beverly (Ronald) Pickens, St. Clairsville, OH; Maggie MacCorkle, New York, N.Y.; Dr. Kenneth H. (Dorothy) McCorkle, Crossville, Tenn.; and Glyn (Celia) Owen, Plymouth, England.
Memorial services were held Tuesday June 28, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark Wilds officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

DAVID MACKEY, age 96, of Massillon, Ohio, and formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio and Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
He was born February 7, 1909 in Piney Fork, Ohio the son of David and Mary Ann Horvath Mackey.
He retired from the Youghiogheny & Ohio Coal Company in Florence after more than 40 years of service as a coal miner at various mines in Belmont County. After he retired, he and his wife resided in Daytona Beach until they returned to Ohio in 2000. He was a longtime member of Holly Hill Church of Christ in Daytona Beach and recently of Massillon Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 59 years, Ethel Mackey, in 2001; brother, Ernest Mackey; and sisters, Theresa Pezel, Katie Fodor, and Mary Ann Bejczi.
Dave is survived by his sister, Margaret Sambuco and brother, Gabriel "Gubby" (Elsie) Mackey, both of Martins Ferry; sisters-in-law, Esteleen (Ralph) Pauli of Massillon, OH and Maycel Johnson of Columbus, OH; brother-in-law, Wilbur "Pete" (Jean) Baker of Adena, OH; special niece and caregiver, Pam (Larry) Eutsey of Barberton, OH; special nephew, Kelvin Johnson of Columbus, OH; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
If desired, contributions may be made in his memory to Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Counties, 2363 Nave Street S.E., Massillon, OH 44646.

FRANKLIN L. WILSON, 54, of N. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Friday, July 1, 2005 at his residence.
He was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on January 13, 1951, a son of the late Marjorie N. (Cook) and Wilbur and Mary F. Wilson who survives him of Triadelphia, W. Va..
He was a former employee of Jug Run Refrigeration Heating and Air Conditioning of St. Clairsville.
He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by one infant sister, Hazel Wilson.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Debbie L. (Andrews) Wilson; two sons, Frank L. Wilson, Jr., Columbus, Ohio and Patrick Wilson of Morristown, Ohio; three daughters, Kerry McCoy, Cleveland, Ohio, Melody Wilson and Chelsea Wilson, both of Morristown, Ohio; five brothers, Ronald S. (Candy) Wilson, Sr., Martins Ferry, Ohio, Charles (Karen) Seifert, Thomas (Tammy) Seifert, both of Valley Grove, W. Va., Gary W. (Patty) Wilson, Sr., Valley Grove, W. Va. and Wilbur F. (Norma) Wilson, Jr., Elm Grove, W. Va.; three sisters, Sherry (Bruce) Edge, Valley Grove, W. Va., Melody (Glenn) Baller, Ann Arbor, Mich. and Debbie Brown of Wheeling, W. Va. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Memorial service were held at the Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 5 p.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating. Military honors were given by the Belmont Co. Council of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

JOSEPHINE L. ZAVISLAK, 92, formerly of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Friday, June 24, 2005 at Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
She was born in Martins Ferry, on November 18, 1912, a daughter of the late Matthew and Mary (Malinoski) Evanczyk.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Women's Club, all of Colerain, Ohio and the Polish National Alliance.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Zavislak; grandson, Dean Vermillion; two brothers, Walter and Edward Evanczyk; five sisters, Martha Hulboy, Lena Starosciak, Mary Poludniak, Helen Sioja and Gertrude Barcus.
She is survived by two sons, Paul A. (Eileen) Zavislak, Martins Ferry, and Raymond (Naomi) Zavislak, Bellevue, Washington; daughter, Regina Vermillion, Creedmoor, N.C.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain, Ohio. at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 with Msgr. David Reasbeck and Msgr. Thomas Petronek as co celebrants. Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

JAMES L. (JIM) BISHOP, 48, of DeHasse St., Martins Ferry, Ohio died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 in East Ohio Regional Hospital.
James was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on November 27, 1956, the son of the late Elmer L. and Grace E. (Burch) Bishop.
James was formerly an employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.
James is survived by a daughter, Christina A. (George L. Jr.) Roman, Austin, Tx.; two sisters, Pamela S. (Bill) Johnson, Martins Ferry and Deborah L. Bishop, Mingo Junction, Oh.; three grandsons, Cole P. Murski, Andrew M. Roman and George L. Roman III.; several neices and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 11, 2005.

RICHARD P. (DICK) HANNA, age 68, of N. 7th St. Martins Ferry, OH. died, Thursday, July 14, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Long Term Care.
Richard was born in Moorefield, OH. on November 14, 1936, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Rogers) Hanna.
He was a retired crane operator at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Mingo Junction, Oh. for 44 years. He was the current President of the Martins Ferry Eagles Aerie # 456 and a member of the Polish National Alliance # 2220.
In addition to his wife, Eunice (Woods) Hanna; he is survived by a daughter, Diana M. Mackey, Martins Ferry, OH.; two brothers James R. (Helen Ann) Hanna, Jacksonville Fla. and Tommy (Peggy) Hanna, Vermillion, Oh.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Services were held at the convenience of the family.

ELIZABETH K. BELL, 91, formerly of So. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Monday, July 25, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Long Term Care, Martins Ferry.
She was born in St. Joseph's Settlement, WV on March 9, 1914, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Breiding) Fox.
She was a retired switchboard operator at East Ohio Regional Hospital and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William O. Bell; son, Robert W. Bell; seven brothers: Ralph, Harry, Robert, Fred, John, Joseph and Hubert Fox; two sisters, Bertha Frohnapfel and Bernadine Frohnapfel.
She is survived by one son, Richard T. Bell, Martins Ferry; sister-in-law, Catherine Fox, Moundsville, W. Va.; and also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated Friday, July 29, 2005 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Father Thomas A. Magary as the celebrant. Interment followed in St. Mary's cemetery, Martins Ferry.

EDWIN R. PERRY, 70, of N. 7th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
He was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on June 25, 1935, a son of the late Raymond H. and Clara L. (Saunders) Perry.
He was a retired employee of Ogden Newspapers, Wheeling, W. Va. having worked as a press operator for 29 years. He was a member and served as an Elder of Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry.
He is survived by his wife Sally L. (Youst) Perry; son, E. Eugene Perry, Dubuque, Iowa; two daughters, Carol L. Vargo, Bridgeport, Ohio and Donna R. (Michael) Coulter, Ogden, Kansas; one brother, Keith D. (Marcia) Perry, Martins Ferry. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry on Thursday July 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Bereavement service by the Elders of the church was held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Cor. 4th and Hanover Sts. Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.

INEZ L. HAYMAN, 94, of Hickory St. Martins Ferry, OH., died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at Country Club Retirement Campus, Bellaire, Ohio.
Inez was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on May 30, 1911, a daughter of the late Henry and Blanche (Knowlton) Haught.
She was a member of Saint John's Luthern Church, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hayman; and three sisters, Gladys Turvey, Iva Semelveis, and Bertha Mae Haught.
She is survived by a son, Donald Hayman, Martins Ferry; two brothers Charles M. (Selma) and Harry F. Haught, Martins Ferry. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Sevices were held at the convenience of the family.

STANLEY W. ZUBOSKI, 83, of N. 8th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born in Wheeling, W. Va., on October 28, 1921, a son of the late Alexander and Mary (Emilski) Giboski.
Stanley was a retired employee of Picoma Industries formerly of Martins Ferry. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Martins Ferry, and a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served in W.W.II and the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Mary J. (Jenski) Zuboski; four sons, Michael and Stanley J. Zuboski, both of Martins Ferry and David and Douglas Zuboski, both of Shadyside, Ohio; three daughters, Vivian Zuboski, Dayton, Marlene Myers, Dillonvale and Mary Ann Smith, Mt. Pleasant, Ohio; two brothers, Lewis Zelenski, Martins Ferry and Ted Zuboski, California; sister, Stella (Zelenski) Fisher, Colerain, Ohio and four grandchildren.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated Saturday, October 1, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Father Tom Magary as the celebrant.
Interment followed with military honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
