MARGARET J. BAKER, 76, formerly of Glenns Run and a residence of W. L. Hayes Towers, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, September 29, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
Margaret was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on June 21, 1929, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Hood) Fowler.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, William Fowler and one granddaughter, Kelsey Bargainer.
She is survived by two sons, Paul R. (Judy) Baker and Charles W. (Becki) Baker; four daughters, Nancy (George ) Balk, Janet (Calvin) Powers, Sandi (Raymond) Timko and Elisha Hamilton, all of Martins Ferry; two sisters, Laura Wilson, Bridgeport, Ohio and Emma Katherine Moore, Redondo Beach, Calif.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Monday, October 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating.
Interment followed in Upland cemetery, Yorkville, Ohio.

PATRICIA ANN (PAT) YORK, 44, of Laslo Apts., Martins Ferry, Ohio died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at her residence.
She was born in Pasadena, Texas on June 16, 1961, the daughter of Jesse G. and Louise T. (Balding) York of Baton Rouge, La.
Services at the convenience of the family.

RAYMOND BALK, SR., 85, of Blaine, Ohio died Monday, October 17, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on February 2, 1920, the son of the late George and Helen(Cozma) Balk.
He served in the U. S. Army during W.W. II.
Military honors were held October 19, 2005 at 7 p.m. by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W., followed by funeral services with Msgr. Mark Froehlich officiating. Interment was held at the convenience of the family in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

CARL W. SHAFER, 51, of Michigan Ave., Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born in Frostburg, Maryland on June 14, 1954, the son of the late Hazel (Jeffreys) and Carl H. Shafer who survives him of Martins Ferry.
He was employed as a insurance inspector for Advance Field Services, Lexington, Ky. He was a member of First Christian Church, Martins Ferry and a member of the gospel band, Glory Bound Band.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a step-brother, Edward Salsberry.
In addition to his father and his step-mother, Patty Shafer, he is survived by his wife, Janice E. (Ging) Shafer and a step brother, Robert Shafer, all of Martins Ferry. Also surviving are several aunts and cousins.
Memorial service was held at the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry, at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 4, 2005, with Rod Kasler officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Servants of Christ Ministry, 20 Lake Chadesa Drive, Hurricane, W. Va. 25526.

JOHN R. (BOB) HARRIS, 73, formerly of DeHass Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Friday, November 4, 2005 in Ravenna, Ohio.
He was born in Mason City, W.Va. on February 13, 1932, a son of the late John and Helen (Bobal) Harris.
He was a retired employee of the former Picoma Industries of Martins Ferry. John served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion and the former Veterans of Foreign Wars of Martins Ferry..
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Volpe.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia E. (Borck) Harris; daughter, Debbie (Jim) Shrieve; two granddaughters, Meghan & Linsay Shrieve, all of Ravenna, Ohio; brother, Larry Harris, Okeechobee, Florida and one sister, June (Manuel) Millianoes, Rayland, Ohio.
Military honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W. were held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service. Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Plasant Grove, Ohio.

MAXINE G. CRAWFORD, 93, Martins Ferry, Oh. and formerly of Yorkville, Oh., died, Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Bell Nursing Home, Belmont, Ohio.
Maxine was born in West Findlay, Pa. on February 22, 1912, a daughter of the late Thomas and Leona (Gribben) Guthrie.
She was a teacher at Buckeye South High School (formerly Yorkville High School) for 25 years until retiring in 1979.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Crawford; and two sisters, Marge Guthrie Kelley and Mary Jean Guthrie Black.
She is survived by two sons John L. (Elaine) Crawford, Warrenville, Ill. and Michael A. Crawford, Dillonvale, Oh.; a granddaughter Kendra Crawford, Warrenville, Ill.; and two grandsons, Ryan Crawford, Warrenville, Ill.; and C.J. Crawford, Warrenville, Ill.
Graveside Service were held at Fairview cemetery, Wind Ridge, Pa. at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11th, 2005.

Mary Ellen McGrail, formerly of S. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care.
She was born in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late John A. and Elsie (Romal) McGrail.
She was retired from the Martins Ferry School System. Mary Ellen was a member of Saint John's Luthern Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Ann Neal.
Private services were held.

WILMA E. DOUGHTY, 71, of N. Zane Highway Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wednesday, November30, 2005 at her residence.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on August 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Hugh M. and Anna V. (Hails) Phillips.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, John G., Robert Allen, Daniel N, Hugh M. Phillips and a sister, Betty L. Rutan.
She is survived by her husband, Albert L. Doughty, Sr.; son, Albert L. Doughty, Jr., Martins Ferry ; two daughters, Lee Doughty, Martins Ferry and Madeline (Anthony) Wilkes, Chesterfield, S.C.; granddaughter, Michelle (Michael) Ristow, Phoenix, Arizona; great granddaughter, Savannah E. Ristow, Phoenix, Arizona; step great grandson, Dylon Ristow, Milwaukee, Wi.; brother, Ronald R. Phillips, Martins Ferry and a sister Madeline (Roland) Doughty also of Martins Ferry.
Services were be held at the convenience of the family.

WILLIAM GRAFF, SR., 79, of 2nd Street, Dillonvale, Ohio died Monday, November 28, 2005 at Heartland of Lansing Care Center, Lansing, Ohio.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on December 18, 1925, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Grodt) Graff.
He was a retired electrician having worked for 43 years at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville, Ohio. He was a christian by faith.
In additiion to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ose and Alfred Graff and one sister, Hilda Forbes
He is survived by his wife, Ann (Kiss) Graff; one son, William (Norma) Graff, Jr., Martins Ferry; two daughter, Joann (Jon) Stephens, Columbus, Ohio and Marsha (Dale) Senatore, Lexington, Ky.; sister, Bertha Riser, Martins Ferry; brother, Frederick (Dorothy) Graff, Martins Ferry; four grandsons, Michael (Robyn) Petras, Columbus, Ohio, David Senatore, Lexington, Ky., Matthew Graff, Columbus, Ohio and Lucas DuJardin, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; one granddaughter, Kimberly (Jeff) Petras Miller, Baltimore, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Joey Miller and Summer Petras.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home, Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
Entombment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

INA JO DAWKINS, 77, of National Road, Belmont, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Long Term Care, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on March 3, 1928, the daughter of the late John Alvin and Stella E. (Yoho) Walton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Dawkins and one daughter, Elizabeth Rose Dawkins.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth A. (Earlene) Dawkins, Pleasant Grove, Ohio and Richard R. (Cheryl) Dawkins, Salesville, Ohio; two daughters, Judith L. (Jeff) Faust, Brownsburg, In. and Joyce L. Moulton, Martins Ferry, Ohio; brother, A.K. (Pie) Walton, Martins Ferry, Ohio; two grandsons, Richard Dawkins, Fort Worth, Texas and John Dawkins, Salesville, Ohio; three granddaughters, Dr. Kimberly Bilica, San Antonio, Texas, Kelle Blount, Columbus, Ohio and Jamie Dawkins, Massillon, Ohio; life long friend Loas McGaughy, Centerville, Ohio, and three great grandchildren
There will be no visitation and services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Co. Animal Rescue League, 45244 National Road West, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.

HENRY J. LONGEVITCH, 90, of N. 5th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Monday, December 12, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W. Va.
Henry was born in Atlasburg, Pennsylvania on December 8, 1915, a son of the late Frank and Victoria (Wisniewska) Labedziewicz.
He was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania Horological Institute and owner of Henry's Jewelry which has been in operation since 1948. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Past President of the Rotary Club, Past President of the Polish National Alliance Lodge 2220, F.O.E.#456, member of the former V.F.W. and a member of the American Legion Post 38 all of Martins Ferry. Henry also served in the U.S. Air Rorce in W.W.11.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella (Wozniak) Longevitch and two brothers, Frank and Ed Longevitch.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Travis) Tomer, Martins Ferry; two sons, Henry (Pamela) Longevitch, St. Clairsville, Ohio and Ron (Julie) Longevitch, Aurora, Colorado; brother, John (Virginia) Longevitch, Belmont, California; lady friend, Pearl Newell of Dillonvale, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
Funeral services were private at the convenience of the family with military honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the American Legion. Interment followed in Upland cemetery, Yorkville, Ohio.
