GEORGE APOSTOLEC, 79, formerly of Florence, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Hadzima Care Home, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
He was born in Warwood, W. Va. on June 14, 1926, a son of the late James and Isabelle (Codel) Apostolec.
He was a retired machinist at the former Picoma Ind. of Martins Ferry. George was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Thrasher) Apostolec; three brothers, Preston Osborne, Nick and Henry Apostolec
He is survived by three sons, George F. (Carol) Apostolec, Martins Ferry, Robert D. Apostolec, Columbus, Ohio and Ricky Lee (Kim) Apostolec, Martins Ferry; two daughters, Judy A. (Paul) Baker, Martins Ferry and Karen Sue (James) Hill, Barton, Ohio; brother, Christopher (Pat) Apostolec, Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Sophia A. Ghelfi, Las Vegas, Nev. and Thelma (Lyle) Cripe, Boise, Idaho. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and two great grandaughters.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 30, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Prior to the funeral service military honors were given by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

MARY GENEVIEVE (JEAN) KUNCZT, 96, formerly of N. 6th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Sunday, January 1, 2006 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was born in Wheeling, W. Va. on September 8, 1909, a daughter of the late Albert G. and Mary (Mlynarski) Paczkowski.
She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Kunczt; two sisters, Stella Sommers and Jane Spence.
She is survived by two sons, Robert M. ( wife, Kimberly) Kunczt, San Antonio, Texas and James D. Kunczt, Pittsburgh, Pa. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Andrew R. Kunczt and Ava J. Fletcher.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary as the celebrant. Interment followed in St. Mary's cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Rosary service was held Friday at 6:30 p.m.

DIANA L. STARKEY, 46, of W. Spring Street, Cadiz, Ohio, died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheeling, W. Va..
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on December 17, 1959, a daughter of the late Victor A. and Virginia M. (Porter) Buckley who survives her of Finksburg, Maryland.
She was employed as a District Manager at theTimes-Leader Newspaper, Martins Ferry. Diane was a 1977 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia Business College where she earned her associate degree in Office Administration/Paralegal.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor A., Jr. and John A. Buckley
In addition to her mother, she is survived by four daughter, Pam L. (Andrew) Perrie, Bellaire, Oh.; Victoria Jane Clifford, Harrisville, Oh.; Danielle JoAnn Starkey, Cadiz, Oh.; Nicole Mae Starkey, Cadiz, Oh.; two sister, Debbie G. (Tommy) Waters, Finksburg, Md.; Ginger M. (Kevin) Colson, Finksburg, Md.; brother Joe R. (Beth) Buckley, Taneytown, Md.. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Smith officiating.
Interment followed in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 612 Maple Ave. Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

ELLEN A. WOLFE, 84, formerly of N. 7th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Long Term Care, Martins Ferry.
She was born in Stonewall, Miss. on September 28, 1921, the daughter of the late Jane (McGrew) Avant.
She was a member of Saint John's Luthern Church, Martins Ferry and a former tele-type operator at Key Field Air Force Base, Meridian, Miss..
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rufus Boutwell and her second husband, Herman D. Wolfe; one son, Bruce Martin Wolfe; and two brothers, Wiley (Bud) and Frank Avant.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Jane (Charles) Ricketts, Severn, Maryland and Debra S. Wolfe of Martins Ferry.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Philip Van Dam officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

JOHN TERRANCE MARCHBANK, 50, of N. 8th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at his residence.
Terry was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on April 18, 1955, ason of the late John and Betty (Bianconi) Marchbank.
He was a retired brakeman and conductor at Con-Rail. Terry was a member of the Italian American Club of Martins Ferry.
He is survived by his companion, Penny Runnion; daughter, Shae Marchbank; step daughter, Kisha Runnion; step son, Michael Runnion all of Martins Ferry; brother, Kevin (Lisa) Marchbank, Mt. Pleasant, Ohio; sister, Holly Gudzik, Cleveland, Ohio; aunt, Cecelia Bianconi also of Martins Ferry.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 13, 2006 at 11 a.m at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.

ANNA E CRECION, 85, formerly of Brady Road, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on April 24, 1920, a daughter of the late Michael and Apolonia (Uleis) Mista.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a former employee of the former A and P and the Select Market all of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Crecion; sister, Julia Mista and infant son, Ronald.
She is survived by son, Alex Michael (Connie) Crecion, Martins Ferry; grandson, Michael A. Crecion, Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Lauren M. Crecion, Athens, Ohio; brother, John Mista, Martins Ferry; sister, Nellie Macenko, Columbus, Ohio.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 with Rev. Father Thomas A. Magary as the celebrant. Interment followed in St. Mary's cemetery Martins Ferry.
Memorial contributions may be made to SMC 2000, 24 N. 4th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.

DELORES J. VOGLER, 76, formerly of Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Monday, March 20, 2006 at Heartland of Lansing Nursing & Rehab. Center, Lansing, Ohio.
She was born in Shinnston, WV on Monday, September 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Alma (Gardner) West.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and a former nurses aid at East Ohio Regional Hospital both of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert West.
She is survived by her husband, Harry E. Vogler; daughter, Linda (Thomas) Yager, St. Clairsville, Ohio; son, Lawrence E. (Judith) Vogler, Bridgeport, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 with Rod Kasler officiating at the funeral home. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery, Martins Ferry.

CHARLES ALBERT REASBECK, 90, of Virginia Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at his residence.
Charles was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on March 28, 1915, a son of the late Joseph V. and Marie (Brubaugh) Reasbeck.
He was retired from the former C. J. Reasbeck Sons, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry Council 1421 of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree member of Commodore Barry Assembly, B.P.O.E. Lodge 2836, Martins Ferry Boosters and a Past Director of the former Peoples Savings Bank all of Martins Ferry.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Margaret Ann (Meister) Reasbeck; daughter, Barbara Ann (William) Edge, Martins Ferry; granddaughter, Lisa M. Edge, Columbus, Ohio; brother, Joseph V. (Emma) Reasbeck, Florida; sister, Rose Marie Harper, Lansing, Ohio; and also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006 with Rev. Thomas A. Magary and Msgr. David Reasbeck as co-celebrants. Mausoleum entombment followed in St. Mary' cemetery, Martins Ferry.
Rosary devotions were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. followed by Elks service at 7 p.m. and Wake services at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to SMC 2000, 24 N. 4th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935 or Valley Hospice Inc., 98 E. Cove Ave., Wheeling, W. Va. 26003.

MARIE R. "KOOTY' McKAYE, 79, formerly of Mica Drive, Martins Ferry, Ohio, diedThursday, April 13, 2006 at Crestview Health Care Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born in Elm Grove, W. Va. on Friday, April 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Ernie and Emma Micks.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike and son, Gary McKaye.
She is survived by son, Tim McKaye of Martins Ferry and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at the funeral home Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dan Cheatham officiating.

ANNA MARY SALIMBENE, 78, formerly of N. 9th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, April 6, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Long Term Care.
She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on Saturday, May 14, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Owella Florence (Ewing) Shipley.
She was a retired from the former Tri-State Rack of Martins Ferry.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and a member of the A.A.R.P.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; brother, John Shipley and sister, Jane Sonovic.
She is survived by two daughters, Melodie Conaway and Marianne (Nicholas) Stan, both of Martins Ferry; son, Michael Salimbene, also of Martins Ferry; sister, Betty (Bud) DeLong, Myrtle Beach, S. C.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006 with Rev. Thomas Magary officiating. Interment followed in Mount Calvary cemetery, Wheeling, W.V.
