Barbara Ann (Frame) Gomez
(June 5, 1947 - April 16, 2015)

Barbara Ann (Frame) Gomez, age 67, of rural Wauseon, Ohio died Thursday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the widow of Mariano "Butch" Gomez who preceded her in death on December 25, 2014. She was born June 05, 1947 in Huntsville, Alabama to Lawrence and Margaret L. (Tanner) Frame. She was a Registered Nurse and prior to her retirement, she worked in many Heath Care settings. Barbara was a member of Wauseon Church of the Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret Frame, Sister, Donna Baumes, Brothers, Lawrence Frame, Jr. and Timothy Frame. Numerous brothers and sisters - in - law, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, her husband, and a brother Ronald.
Celebration of Barbara's life will be held 12:30pm, Sunday, April 26, 2015 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 858 South Shoop Avenue, Wauseon, Ohio 43567.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of family choice.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, Ohio.

Mary Kunsman
(1935 - 2008)

ANGOLA, Ind. - Mary Kunsman, 72, of Angola and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital.
Born Sept. 30, 1935, at St. George, Kansas, to Ora Pearl (Woods) and Clyde Bolte, she married Ned C. Kunsman on July 25, 1955, at Edon, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on May 20, 2004.
A hostess at Bennigan's Restaurant in Angola, she had also formerly lived in Kansas and Deming, N.M.
She had attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Fremont.
Surviving are two daughters, Frenche (and husband, Robert) Salaiz of Angola and Andre (Rob) Dorsey of Fremont; a granddaughter, Tracey Salaiz of Angola; a grandson, Chris Salaiz of Angola; and a sister, Liz Holloway of Manhattan, Kansas. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beverly. Memorial services are pending with Beams Funeral Home, Fremont.
Memorials may be made to the family.

Barbara A. Rice
(1948 - 2008)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Barbara A. Rice, 59, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2008, at her home after an illness of one year.
Born Dec. 25, 1948, at Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Delores M. (Fredrick) and Howard Minnick.
A graduate of Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, she was a member of the 3rd Street Church of God in Fort Wayne.
Surviving are her mother, Delores Minnick Hall of Fort Wayne; a son, Robert B. (and wife, Charlie) Rice Jr. of Edgerton, Ohio; a daughter, Mary (and husband, Matt) Sordelet of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Whittaker, Chad Fockler, Eric Rice, Cody Fockler, Raymond, Mariah, Sierra and Luke Sordelet; a great-grandchild, Jupiter Whittaker; and a sister, Diana James of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Marie New.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the 3rd Street Church of God in Fort Wayne.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Rosel C. Gomez
January 10, 1944 – April 18, 2015

Rosel C. Gomez (Brown) of Archbold, Ohio was received into her Heavenly home on April 18, 2015 at the Whitehouse Country Manor in Whitehouse, Ohio due to complications of dementia.
Rosel was born on January 10, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Darrell and Lavada (Quinton) Brown as the fifth of six children. She graduated in 1962 from Limestone High School in Limestone, Maine where her father was stationed in the United States Air Force.
She married the love of her life Roy R Gomez on December 29, 1973 in Toledo, Ohio at the home of their friends Tom and Judy Miller. After being a stay at home mom while her children were small, she started her professional life as a typist at the Lucas County Welfare Department in Toledo. She was then secretary to the Welfare Director. After relocating the family to Delta, Ohio, Rosel transferred to the Fulton County Welfare Department where she was promoted to Supervisor of the Fulton County Children Support Enforcement Agency. After many years of service, Rosel retired in 1994 to become a full time grandma to her growing bunch of grandbabies.
Rosel is a past member of Lewis Avenue Baptist Church in Toledo and a current member of Bethany Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Rosel was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Darrell Brown and Lamar Brown, and one sister, Lavada (Lee) Dudley.
Rosel is survived by her husband and best friend of over 41 years, Roy R Gomez of Archbold. She is also survived by her four children and their families. Her children are Susan (Tim) Rex of Swanton, Ohio; David (Dawn) Gomez of Tarpon Springs, Florida; Larry (Wendy) Simons of Toledo, Ohio; and Debby (Ed) Boontjer of Palo Cedro, California. Her eleven grandchildren are Kiersten (Travis) Paimli, Megan (Chris) Hernandez, Brittany Gomez, Hannah Gomez and Nick Gomez, Roy (Michelle) Simons, AJ Simons, Danielle Boontjer, Samantha Boontjer, Chase (Rachel) Boontjer and Tye Boontjer. Great grandchildren are Colton, Lily and Hunter Paimli, Olivia Hernandez, Jared and Garrett Simons. She is also survived by her two sisters, Gloria Rodriguez of Toledo and Carolyn Voogd of Treasure Island, Florida. She will be missed by her family so much more than words can possibly say!
Viewing will be Monday, April 20, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon, Ohio. The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11:00am, also at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Wauseon Union cemetery. The family would like to thank the Whitehouse Country Manor and its staff for their kindness and compassion in caring for our wife, mom and grandmother during her time there. Donations in honor of Rosel may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 14070 Bailey Road, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522.

David E. Johnston Sr.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - David E. Johnston Sr., 91, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor, Fort Wayne. The Monroeville native worked as a dairy farmer and truck driver.
He is survived by a son, David Johnston Jr.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Bernard Johnston and Harry Johnston; and a sister, Delores Schaffer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, in 2005; and five brothers and three sisters.
Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Highland Park cemetery Chapel, 2403 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, with visitation a half hour prior. The Rev. Judith Follis is to officiate.
Memorials may be made to Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Coesse, where he was a member.
Arrangements are by E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven.

Thomas 'Tom' L. Batt

Thomas "Tom" L. Batt, 58, Bryan, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007.
A daughter, Lynette (and husband, Paul) Dill is among his survivors.
Arrangements are pending at Lawson - Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance.

ARCHBOLD - Evelyn J. Rupp, 90, of Archbold, died suddenly Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, in her home.
Arrangements are pending at Short Funeral Home.

Robert Heisler

HICKSVILLE - Robert Heisler, 87, of rural Hicksville, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in Hicksville, where he was a resident.BR> He was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton. Service arrangements are pending with Krill Funeral Service in Edgerton.BR>

John C. 'Skip' Garrigus
(1931 - 2007)

WOLCOTT, Conn. - John C. "Skip" Garrigus, 75, of Wolcott, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, following a brief illness.
Born Oct. 20, 1931, at Waterbury, Conn., to Mae (Creer) and Leland Garrigus, he married Lucille Hodges and she survives.
A graduate of Crosby High School, he was graduated with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from UCONN. He retired from Bristol Babcock Co. where he had worked for 43 years. Throughout his life, he was actively involved with IEEE, the development of international electrical standards, Harmony Lodge Masons, and Wolcott Masons, and was a trustee and chairman of the Pine Grove cemetery Association.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his children, Mark (and wife, Karen) Garrigus, Karen (and husband, Daniel) Lang, Paul (Lori) Garrigus and Peter (Patricia) Garrigus of Bryan, Ohio; grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph, Robert, Adam, Ashley, Sam, Olivia and Benjamin Garrigus, and Damian, Danelle and Marisa Lang; a great-granddaughter, Makyla Philips; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mona Garrigus Manes.
A funeral service was conducted Friday in Waterbury, with burial in New Pine Grove cemetery, Waterbury.

Edwin L. Santos
(1965 - 2007)

ARCHBOLD - Edwin L. Santos, 42, of Archbold, died suddenly Friday morning, Aug. 17, 2007, after becoming ill in his home.
Born Aug. 17, 1965, in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Maria (Santiago) and Benero Santos. He came to the United States in 1984 and lived in the Archbold area the past 18 years. He worked at Bil - Jax Inc. in Archbold for six years and attended North Clinton Mennonite Church at Wauseon.
Surviving are a son, Michael Santos of Archbold; three daughters, Jacqueline Santos of Puerto Rico, and Wilmarie Santos and Emily Santos, both of Archbold; his mother, Maria Santos of Atlantic City, N.J.; three brothers, Hector Santos, Adan Santos and Usmenio Santos, all of Atlantic City, N.J.; and three sisters, Luz Borrero of Puerto Rico, Mabel (and husband, Ricardo) Baez of Norwich, Conn., and Jeannette (Leonides) Baez of Archbold.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Short Funeral Home, Archbold. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastors Misael Rodriquz, Luz Borrero and Brad Faler to officiate. Interment will follow in the Archbold cemetery.

Charles A. Frazer II
(1921 - 2007)

WEST UNITY - Charles Andrew Frazer II, 86, of West Unity and formerly of near Fayette, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at the Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier.
Born Aug. 6, 1921, at Hardin, Mont., to Mabel B. (Wyse) and Charles A. Frazer I, he married Ada Goldsmith and she preceded him in death in 1967. He married Carmen (Bowman) Dean in 1973 and she survives.
A graduate of Fayette High School, he became employed as a fireman on the Wabash Railroad from Detroit to Montpelier. A U.S. Army veteran, he had served during World War II, serving in the African and European Theatres as a railroad engineer, returning to the Wabash Railroad until 1953.
After marrying his first wife, he became a farmer and retired from farming in 1984.
He was a member of the West Unity Methodist Church, West Unity Lions Club, American Legion Post No. 669 of West Unity and the Minutemen of West Unity.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Dean A. (and special friend, Kimberly Shaffer) Frazer of West Unity; a daughter, Ann (and husband, Dan) Pape of Charleston, S.C.; a granddaughter, Laura Pape of Charleston, S.C.; two stepsons, Ronald (and wife, Denise) Dean of Archbold and Larry (Michelle) Dean of Bryan; two stepdaughters, Brenda (Tom) Duvendack of Lake Diane, Mich. and Janis (Russ) Watson of Clear Lake, Ind.; 10 stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim (Cara) Frazer of West Unity.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his first wife, were his parents and two brothers, Lloyd and Howard Frazer.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 - 8 p.m. in the Hollingshead - Beck Funeral Home, West Unity.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the West Unity United Methodist Church, with one hour of visitation prior to services. Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby is to officiate. Burial with military rites will be given by the American Legion Post No. 669 of West Unity in the West Franklin cemetery in Fulton County.
Memorials may be made to the West Unity United Methodist Church.

Evelyn Unger
(1929 - 2007)

COLDWATER, Mich. - Evelyn Nadene Unger, 78, of Coldwater and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Branch County Hospital in Coldwater where she was a patient after a six - year battle with cancer.
Born July 30, 1929, at Toledo, Ohio, to Orpha (Rittenhour) and Lester Carroll, she married Don W. Unger on June 14, 1952, at Bryan, and he survives.
The former co - owner of the Suburban Motel near Bryan, she had worked at Carroll - Ames Hardware in Bryan for many years before retiring from Hickory Farms in Toledo.
A life - long resident of Ohio until her retirement, she and her husband then moved to Coldwater Lake and wintered in LaFeria, Texas. She was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Nadene Unger - Sease of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Doug (and wife, Sonya) Unger of Wauseon, Scott (Linda) Unger of Bryan and Dennis Unger of Cumberland, Maine; her grandchildren, Alex (Lori) Sease, Andy Sease and Deana Sease, all of Jacksonville, Fla., Jacob Unger and Ana Unger of Wauseon, Jason Unger of Toledo and Ryan Unger of Bryan; a sister, Dorothy (Carroll) Strayer of Wauseon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Denver Carroll; a sister, Betty (Carroll) Dangler - Stokes; and an infant granddaughter, Angela Unger.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Bill Priest to officiate. Interment will follow in Shiffler cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Services, Community Health Service of Branch County, 300 East Chicago St., Coldwater, MI 49036.

Nancy L. Plassman
(1939 - 2007)

HICKSVILLE - Nancy L. Plassman, 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at her home.
Born June 5, 1939, at Defiance, to Thelma (Bauer) and Otto Herman Rosebrock, she married William Plassman on Aug. 30, 1958, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Defiance, and he survives.
A 1957 graduate of Defiance High School, she was a very active member at St. John Lutheran Church in Hicksville and served as the church secretary for 15 years.
She was a member of the La Fleur De Terre Garden Club in Hicksville and a member of the Low German Club in Henry County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Eric (and wife, Jenny) of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Jeffrey (Lisa) of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Heidi (and husband, Jochen) Glaubitz of Gregory, Mich.; five grandchildren, Heather, Landon and Madison Plassman and Samuel and Anneliese Glaubitz; two brothers, Paul (Madeline) Rosebrock of Seymour, Conn., and Roger Rosebrock of Corpus Christi, Texas; and a sister, Debra Bloomfield of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church, Hicksville.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be at Forest Home cemetery, Hicksville.
Memorials may be made to Hospice, the Caring Way, Defiance; St. John Lutheran Church; or to an organization of the donor's choice. Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, is in charge of arrangements.
