Roger L. "Doc" Bell
(June 11, 1947 - March 19, 2015)

Roger L. “Doc” Bell, age 67, of Archbold and formerly of Delta passed away late Thursday March 19, 2015. Mr. Bell had worked form many years a Perfection Finishing in Wauseon and had also been a truck driver.
Mr. Bell was born in Wauseon on June 11, 1947 the son of the late Harold and the late Annetta (Gunn) Bell. He was a member of the Delta Eagles and the Isaac Walton League in Delta. Surviving is brother; Kenneth Bell of Wauseon, sister; Sandy (Gene) Wyse of Wauseon and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his best friend Don Lantz. Preceding him in death was an infant sister; Shirley Mae Bell and brother Harold (Junior) Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday March 23, 2015 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Delta with Pastor Mary Jo Bray officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn cemetery in Delta. Friends may call at the Grisier Funeral Home in Delta on Monday from 9:00am until service time. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be made to the family at . The Grisier Funeral Home in Delta has been entrusted with arrangements.

Florence M. Poulson
(1925 - 2007)

EDGERTON - Florence M. Poulson, 81, of rural Edgerton, died Friday, April 20, 2007, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, where she had been a patient the past five days.
Born Dec. 1, 1925, at Mercer County, Pa., to Essie M. (Struble) and Walter E. Connelly, she married David F. Poulson on Dec. 26, 1947, at Farmer, and he survives.
A 1943 graduate of Farmer High School, she had attended Bowling Green State University and transferred to The Ohio State University where she graduated in 1947 with her bachelor's degree. She began working as a dietician at the Fort Hayes Hotel in Columbus.
After raising her family, she taught home economics at Edgerton Local Schools. She then went to Four County Joint Vocational School where she taught food service education.
She was the site manager for the GALA in Hicksville for 16 1/2 years, retiring in 1996.
A member of the Farmer United Methodist Church, she was active in the Heart and Hands group, sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and directed the vacation Bible school. She was also the Sunday school superintendent.
Mrs. Poulson was also a member of the Farmer Grange, the County Cousins and the Farmer American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Mrs. Tom (Peggy) Lucas of Bryan, Mrs. Duane (Barbara) Landefeld of Woodsfield, Paul (and wife, Debbie) Poulson of Iron Mountain, Mich., Mark (Carol) Poulson of Ney, John (Lexie) Poulson of Archbold and Tom (Sara) Poulson of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren, Trisha Nungester, Tom Lucas, Andrea and Nick Poulson, Jessie and Shane Poulson, Lindsay and Lesley Landefeld, and Gina and Isabelle Poulson; one great-grandson, Austin Lucas; two sisters, Mabel Stamler of Lincoln, Neb., and Mildred Chatterton of Edgerton; and a sister - in - law, Gloria Connelly of Edgerton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gene and David Connelly.
Visitation will be today from 5 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Barnett to officiate. Interment will follow in Farmer cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Farmer United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

Joan Marie Neuenschwander Klopfenstein
(February 20, 1938 - March 25, 2015)

Joan Marie (Neuenschwander) Klopfenstein, age 77, passed away Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Genesis Nursing Care of Bryan. Prior to her retirement she had been a Piano Instructor for many years.
Mrs. Neuenschwander was born on February 20, 1938 in Wauseon the daughter of the late Franklin “Hap” and the late Nola (McLaughlin) Neuenschwander. She had volunteered at the former Medical College of Ohio and many area nursing homes playing the piano for patients and residents.
Surviving are sons; Tom (Rose) Klopfenstein of Wauseon, Rodney (Linda) Klopfenstein of Pettisville, grandchildren; Mandy (Bryan) Croninger, Aaron (Sarah) Klopfenstein both of Delta, Jordan (Jensen) Klopfenstein of Fort Wayne, Joshua, Audra and Amber Klopfenstein all of Pettisville and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is step-sister; Sue Colon of Wauseon. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her step-father; Dallas Spring and brothers: Les Neuenschwander, Russell Neuenschwander, step-Brother Russell Spring.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday March 29, 2015 at the Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Don Krieger officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time. Online condolences may be made to the family at . The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Gideons International or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon.

Iris E. Pace
(1926 - 2007)

Iris E. Pace (Wallace), born March 28, 1926, in Pioneer, Ohio died on April 5, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband James C. Pace and her son James S. Pace. She is survived by her children Delores A. Newlands (Drew); Mary Jean Christensen (John); her sisters, Darwina Wallace, Anna Wagner Lightbody, and brother, James Wallace.
She took great joy in her nine grandchildren. Besides raising her own family, she raised several other children working as a Nanny. Also part of Iris' life were her seven Chihuahuas that gave her tremendous happiness.
Iris had a talent for baking great pies. She'll be remembered for her big Sunday dinners with homemade pies for dessert. She also had a talent for sewing. She sewed clothing for herself, her children and her grandchildren. It was her fantastic hot pan holders that everyone cherishes and still use.
Iris' passion was antiques. She loved to browse antique stores in search of new treasures to add to her collections of colored glass, wooden spoons, butter scoops, pitchers and oil lamps.
Iris lived and died at Expressions at Enumclaw, Washington. The staff provided her with outstanding, loving care. Her family was at her bedside when she passed.
The love Iris gave to all who knew her will continue to grow exponentially for eternity. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Expressions at Enumclaw's activities fund.

Rafael A. Tebar
(1955 - 2007)

Rafael A. Tebar, 52, of Bryan, and formerly of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, died suddenly on Monday, April 2, 2007 in the emergency room of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Montpelier.
Rafael A. Tebar was born on March 23, 1955, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, the son of Juan Hosea and Carmen Maria (Aponte) Tebar. He married Dawn M. Berry on March 16, 2007.
An Army veteran, Mr. Tebar had been a security guard for 25 years. He also was a supervisor for SBM Company in Cleveland. He recently began work for Staffmark, working at Rassini in Montpelier. Surviving is his wife, Dawn of Bryan; two sons, Rafael Tebar, Jr., of Fort Hood, Texas and Christopher J. Tebar of Puerto Rico; two daughters, Leslie Ann Tebar and Erica Lee Tebar, both of Puerto Rico; stepchildren, Tony D. Berry of Bryan, Casey A. Cooper of Bryan, Linda L. Cooper of Oakwood, Stormy M and Christian C. Corona both of Bryan, Aurora J. Cooper of Bryan and Jasmine N. Corona of Bryan; five grandchildren, four step grandchildren; his mother, Carmen Maria Aponte Tebar of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Iveliss Diaz of Puerto Rico and Beatrice Tebar of Brooklyn, New York; one brother, Juan Hosea Tebar of Puerto Rico.
There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements by Krill Funeral Service, Bryan, Ohio.

Phyllis G. Williams
(1903 - 2007)

KENDALLVILLE, IND. Š Phyllis G. Williams, age 103, of Kendallville and formerly of Edon, Ohio, died at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Kendallville Manor Health Care Center, where she was resident. She graduated from high school in Nevis, Minnesota, and attended Minnesota Bible College.
Phyllis G. Williams was born on September 6, 1903, in Wilmot, South Dakota, the daughter of Gerald Alonzo and Myra Minnie (Orrock) Fuller. While attending college, she met Roy E. Williams (who was born Roy Wenchell and adopted by the Williams family upon the deaths of his parents), who was studying to be a minister, and they married on September 2, 1926, in Nevus, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1992, after sixty - five years of marriage.
Together, Phyllis and Roy Williams ministered in Viola, Minnesota; Sugar Grove, Wisconsin; Smithville, Missouri; Viroqua, Wisconsin (twenty - five years); Ladysmith, Wisconsin; Pipestone, Minnesota; and Milford, Illinois. They retired and in 1972 moved to Edon, Ohio.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Shirley Ann Weber, of Elroy, Wisconsin, two sons, Gerald (Laura) Williams, of Lake Wales, Florida, and Paul (Patricia) Williams, of Kendallville, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, twenty - one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth, one son, Keith, three sisters and two brothers.
Services for Phyllis G. Williams will be on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Columbia Church of Christ with her sons and former pastors, Paul and Gerald Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in the Edon cemetery in Edon, Ohio. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio.
Memorials in the name of Phyllis G. Williams may be given to the Columbia Church of Christ.

EDON - Phyllis G. Williams, 103, formerly a long - time resident of Edon, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Kendallville Manor Health Care in Kendallville, Ind., where she was a resident.
Service arrangements are pending with Krill Funeral Service in Edon.

Audrey May Brewer
(1912 - 2007)

Graveside memorial services for Audrey May Brewer, formerly of Bryan, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shiffler cemetery, Pulaski. Mrs. Brewer died Jan. 1, 2007, at Aberdeen, N.C. She was the widow of William Brewer Sr.
Alspach - Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert, is in charge of arrangements.

Denver Paul Harrington
(1923 - 2007)

GRAHAM, Wash. - Denver Paul Harrington of Graham, Wash., died March 18, 2007.
Born March 29, 1923, he was the son of Thelma and C.D. Harrington, formerly of rural Bryan.
He had served with the 8th Air Force, stationed in England as an armament mechanic, repairing machine guns and ball turrets on B - 17 bombers. He retired after 23 years of service with the rank of master sergeant.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce M. (Lee) Harrington; daughters, Mrs. Mike (Vickie) Ware and Mrs. Steve (Cynthia) Holmes; sons, Scott D. and Dennis T.; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Emily and Amy; brothers, Harold, a Navy veteran of World War II; Richard, an Army engineer during World War II; and a brother, Roger 'Gus', who served in the Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, Herbert E., who served in the Army infantry in World War II.
A memorial service was held March 24 and burial was in the National Military cemetery in the state of Washington with full military honors.

Eugene 'Gene' Burdette Thompson
(1980 - 2007)

HICKSVILLE - Johnathan Jay Ridgway, 26, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.
Born July 7, 1980, at Bryan, he was the son of Jackie (Hall) Watson and Allan Ridgway. He had been employed at Parker Hannifan in Hicksville.
Surviving are his daughter, Savannah Ridgway; his girlfriend, Brandi Osmun of Hicksville; his mother, Jackie Watson of Hicksville; his father, Allan (and wife, Lisa) Ridgway of Antwerp; a brother, Christopher (Mandy) Ridgway of Hicksville; a sister, Mrs. Judd (Tina) Price of Hicksville; stepfather, Brian Watson of Defiance; two stepbrothers, Nathan Pierce of Pekin, Ill., and Kristopher Markley of Van Wert; a stepsister, Lindsay Gutt of Fort Wayne, Ind.; grandparents, Ralph and Marylen Hall and Audry Ridgway, all of Hicksville; and three nieces and a nephew, all of Hicksville.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Jay Ridgway, and a cousin, Tyler Parker. Visitation will be Monday from noon to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. in the Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with Scott Marsee of the Antwerp Community Church to officiate. Burial will be at Forest Home cemetery, Hicksville. Memorials may be made to Savannah Ridgway.

Ruth A. Hurtt
(1907 - 2007)

MONTPELIER - Ruth A. Hurtt, 100, of Montpelier, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at Hillside Country Living, Bryan.
Born Jan. 4, 1907, at Hudson, Ind., to Amy (Whysong) and William Summers, she married Harry D. Hurtt on Sept. 2, 1939, at Montpelier, and he preceded her in death in January 1972.
A 1926 graduate of Montpelier High School, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Woman's Relief Corps, Pythian Sisters, Fireman Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies Historical Society, a past matron of Lillian Chapter No. 41 Order of the Eastern Star of Montpelier, a charter member and patron of the Montpelier Area Foundation, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
No immediate family members survive.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helene Guyse, on May 11, 2003.
There will be no visitation. Service arrangements are pending at Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery, Montpelier.
Memorials may be made to the Montpelier Area Foundation or St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Ruth R. Short

ARCHBOLD - Ruth R. Short, 93, of Archbold, died Wednesday evening, March 21, 2007, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
She was the widow of Harold H. Short.
Arrangements are pending at Short Funeral Home.

Waldo F. Detter
(1922 - 2007)

WAUSEON - Waldo F. Detter, 84, of Wauseon, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Heartland Nursing Home in Wauseon.
Born Nov. 2, 1922, in York Township, Fulton County, to Elizabeth (Frank) and Phillip Detter, he married Donalda 'Dottie' Vonier on April 9, 1944, and she preceded him in death in 2006. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a brick mason for Melvin Wyse for many years and then served as the Fulton County Veteran Service Officer for 10 years.
He was a member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Wauseon.
An Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater, he had received four Bronze Stars, one Silver Star and two Purple Heart Awards. He was also a member of the Wauseon VFW and the Wauseon American Legion Post.
Surviving are three daughters, Dianna Detter of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Jeff (Marcia) Grant of West Unity and Deb Schmitt (Bob Bracey) of Decatur, Ind.; two sons, Gary (and wife, Diane) Detter of Stryker and Michael (Stephanie) Detter of Kendallville, Ind.; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; a brother, Orville (Margaret) Detter of Wauseon; and a sister, Magdelene Grieser of Archbold.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willis "Bill" Detter, and a sister, Betty Cheney.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Edgar - Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Emmaus Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles Althoff to officiate. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
