Lamar "Red" Siebenaler

Lamar "Red" Paul Siebenaler, 74, of Bryan, died early Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C.
Born outside of Edon, he was the son of Laoma (Kelble) and Clarence Siebenaler.
Self - employed in insurance, he was the owner of the former Siebenaler Equipment.
A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a former member of the Williams County Fair Foundation, he was instrumental in building the grandstand at the fairgrounds. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sameer (T.J.) Singla, and a grandson, Currin Singla, all of Beijing, China; a brother, Gerald Siebenaler of Bryan; a sister, Eileen Smith of Hamilton, Ind.; and sisters - in - law, Leann Siebenaler of Bryan and Honey Moore of Montpelier.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Lavon, Anthony and Clarence Siebenaler. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. in the Oberlin - Ford Funeral Home, Bryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with the Rev. Father Charles Ritter to officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery near Blakeslee.
Memorials may be made to the church.

Gage Gabriel Jackson
(2001 - 2006)

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Gage Gabriel Jackson, 5, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a week - long battle against a ravaging auto - immune blood disorder.
Born Feb. 25, 2001, at Cedar Rapids, he was the son of Stacey (Pawlak) and Dean Jackson. He was a kindergarten student at Jackson Elementary School in Cedar Rapids.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Claire (7) and Liv (2); grandparents, Dennis and Janet Jackson of Montpelier, Ohio, and Ralph and Irene Pawlak of Troy, Mich.; great-grandmother, Mary Kasa of Troy; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 9 p.m. in the Murdoch - Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. A funeral mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network, 5144 Westlawn, University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA 52242.

Verna M. Miller
(1924 - 2006)

ARCHBOLD - Verna M. Miller, 81, of Archbold died suddenly on Friday, Sept. 1, 2006 at her home, of natural causes.
Born Dec. 18, 1924 near Pettisville to Wilma (Wyse) and Edward Sauder, she was married to Floyd E. "Fritz" Miller on June 22, 1947, and he survives.
A lifelong resident of the Pettisville/Archbold area, she was a homemaker, and did house and office cleaning. She was a charter member of the Tedrow Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Terry (Judy) Miller of Archbold, Craig (Lois) Miller of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Merrill (Trish) Miller of Ridgeville Corners; three daughters, Mrs. Randy (Becky) Kauffman of Archbold, Mrs. Richard (Eleen) Nyce of Pettisville, and Mrs. Brent (Elaine) Winzeler of Archbold; two brothers, Lowell Sauder of Bryan, and Orval (Esther) Sauder of Pettisville; two sisters, Mrs. Omar (Velma) Gnagey of Archbold, and Mrs. Duane (Mary) Eash of Pettisville; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant brother, Marland Sauder.
Friends may call on Monday from 2 - 8 p.m. at the Tedrow Church Fellowship Hall.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Pettisville cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Tedrow Mennonite Church with Pastor Randy Nafziger and Pastoral Interns Gary and Sandy Stuckey officiating.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold is in charge of the arrangements.

Kermit A. Lautzenhiser
(1909 - 2006)

HAMILTON, Ind. - Kermit A. Lautzenhiser, 97, of Hamilton, Ind., died on Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Bryan, after a brief illness.
Born March 24, 1909, near Edon, to Christiana "Chrissie" (Dirrim) and John Arlington Lautzenheiser, he was married to Luella M. Keppler on Jan. 19, 1941 in Van Wert, and she preceded him in death in 1999.
A 1926 graduate of Edon High School, he graduated from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He started Farm Electric Service near Edon and then opened The Appliance Center in Edon, which he operated until 1969. He briefly taught Electrical Education at 4 - County Joint Vocational School, and was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, obtaining the rank of Sargent. He served with the 305 1st AAF Base Unit as a radar mechanic. He was a member of the Edon American Legion Post #662 for nearly 60 years, St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He formerly served on the Edon Board of Public Affairs, and was a former board member and membership chairman for the Hamilton Lake Association. He was a member of the Steuben County Waste Watchers.
He is survived by one daughter, Niann Lautzenhiser of Hamilton, Ind.; one brother, Robert Ezra Lautzenheiser of Reading, Massachusetts; and one sister, Virginia Mae Kindler of Montpelier.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Paul and Dwight Dirrim Lautzenheiser.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Peters Lutheran Church, Edon, with the Rev. Clayton J. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Edon cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by Edon American Legion Post #662.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Oliver Tarr

MONTPELIER - Oliver Tarr, 88, of Montpelier, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 31, 2006, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier.
Funeral service arrangements are pending at Wilson - Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier.

Dennis E. Lickly
(1948 - 2006)

JACKSON, Mich. - Dennis E. Lickly, 58, of Jackson and formerly of Pittsford, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, surrounded by family and friends.
Born June 7, 1948, at Hillsdale, Mich., to Ella Mae (Preston) and Carl Lickly, he married Salli Carla Davis on June 18, 1993, at Toledo, Ohio, and she survives.
A 1966 graduate of Pittsford High School, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War.
He worked at Stocks Mill and retired from Jackson State Prison after 13 years as a corrections officer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Steve (Crystal) Miller of North Adams; his mother, Ella Mae Sheffer of Hillsdale; granddaughters, Kylie Jo, Sierra and Lexi; brothers, David (and wife, Carolyn) Lickly of Edon, Ohio and William (Susie) Lickly of Thornton, Colo.; sisters, Mrs. Steve (Carlene) Strachn and Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Kisner, all of Pittsford; stepbrothers, Harold (Sherry) Sheffer of Osseo and Carl (Dora Lee) Sheffer of Hanover; stepsisters, Mrs. Fred (Wavalene) Lang of Hillsdale and Mrs. Larry (Luann) Lehman of Osseo; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Lickly, and stepfather, Granville Sheffer. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. in the Pittsford Congregational Church, Pittsford. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the church with Pastor Terry Bobzien to officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by Hannan - Colvin Post No. 180, American Legion Hudson, Mich.
Memorials may be made to the family or to Great Lakes Hospice of Jackson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown - Van Hemert Funeral of Hudson.

Jean Elizabeth (Julliard) Skeels
(1927 - 2006)

Jean Elizabeth Skeels was born May 12, 1927, in Stryker, Ohio to Ferd and Blanche (Aebersold) Juillard; passed away on August 23, 2006 in Lansing, Michigan. After graduation from Stryker High School, she received her teaching certificate from Bowling Green State University and accepted her first teaching assignment in Adrian, MI. Here she met her husband of 54 years, marrying Dorman Skeels on August 10, 1952 in Stryker at The First Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved the outdoors and reading. She worked in the attendance office at East Lansing High School for 17 years and was later active in the Greater Lansing Parkinson's Group and cared for their library. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn and brother - in - law, Richard Wilcox. Surviving are her husband, Dorman; daughter, Laura Elizabeth Skeels of E. Lansing; son, David Juillard (Stephanie) Skeels of St. Johns; nephew, William "Skip" Annette; and sister, Marian (Raymond) Randels; niece, Josephine Faber; and nephews, Michael and Peter Randels. Memorial services have been held. In honor of Jean, donations may be made to the Greater Lansing Area Parkinson's Support Group, 1425 N. Harrison Road, East Lansing, MI 48823, The American Heart Assoc., Memorials and Tributes Lockbox, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 or to the organization of one's choice.

Charles "Bill" Gallutia

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. - Charles "Bill" Gallutia, 81, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006, after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Virginia Tingler Gallutia. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 31.
A member of Southern Acres Christian Church, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired school administrator in Willard.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, David (and wife, Karen) Gallutia, Michael Gallutia, Scott (Melissa) Gallutia, Val (Linda) Gallutia and Julie Gallutia; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Betts & West Funeral Home.
Services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Camp Nelson National cemetery.

Lorine S. Miller
(1923 - 2006)

ARCHBOLD - Lorine S. Miller, 83, of Archbold, died suddenly Wednesday morning, Aug. 30, 2006, at the Archbold Hospital after becoming ill in her home.
Born May 4, 1923, near Archbold, to Dinah (Leupp) and Edward Miller, she married Victor W. "Bill" Miller on March 11, 1942, and he survives.
A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she worked at LaChoy Food Products in Archbold for 33 years before retiring in 1987.
She was a member of St. John's Christian Church in Archbold.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, David Lee Miller of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Jon Allen (and wife, Vernie) Miller of New Palestine, Ind.; five grandchildren, Eric Miller, Brian Miller, Mrs. Robert (Tiffany) Almond, Amanda Miller and Christopher J. Miller; two great-granddaughters; one step-great-grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Ruth) Schmucker, Mrs. Robert (Velma) Overmier and Mrs. Roger (Lucille "Buzz") Ziegler, all of Archbold.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Dale Miller, Floyd Miller, Glen Miller, Leonard Miller and Orval Miller.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2 - 8 p.m. in the Short Funeral Home, Archbold.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Christian Church with Pastor Theodore Lovejoy to officiate. Interment will follow in the Archbold cemetery.

Bobby Allen Boles
(1948 - 2006)

EDON - Bobby Allen Boles, 58, of Edon, died late Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at his residence as the result of an apparent heart attack.
Born Feb. 21, 1948, at Wilder Possum Hollow, Tenn., to Frances Marie (Davis) and Cletus Eugene Boles, he married Kathy L. Wright on March 31, 1980, at Manchester, Tenn. and she survives. A tire builder at Continental General Tire, he retired in 2003 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Local No. 890.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Timothy Allen Boles of Bryan, Robert William Boles of Webster, Fla., Bobbie Ann Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas, Annessa Kerr of Azusa, Calif., Coy Dunkle of Edon and Tracy Marie Boles of Fort Wayne, Ind.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Cletus Carson Boles of Byrdstown, Tenn.; and two sisters, Brenda Laurn of Farmland, Ind. and Becky Winningham of Byrdstown, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Dewayne and Herbert Eugene Boles. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 - 4 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon.
Services will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Dailey to officiate. Interment will be in Bald Hill cemetery near Waltonville, Ill.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Virgil Lancaster
(1954 - 2006)

HAMILTON, Ind. - Virgil D. "Tom" Lancaster, 53, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospitals emergency room.
Born Aug. 8, 1954, at Angola, Ind., he was the son of Linda (Green) and Jack Lancaster.
He worked for A and B Flooring.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Jack and Shirley Lancaster of Angola; his mother, Linda Lewis of Montpelier; two sons, Brett and Zack Lancaster of Angola; daughter, Amber Lancaster of Hawaii; three brothers, Jack Lancaster of Angola, Joe Lancaster of Sturgis, Mich. and Donald Humbarger of Bryan, Ohio; and four sisters, Kim Lancaster Cole of Coldwater, Mich., Connie Sandoval and Kathy Bostater, both of Montpelier, Ohio, and Angie Dennison of Bryan, Ohio.
Services are to be held at a later date. Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are to the family.
