JEAN LIGGETT
Jean Liggett, 70, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away 6:05 AM, Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Her husband, Dale M. Liggett, survives. Mrs. Liggett was born January 2, 1936 in Athens County, Ohio, daughter of the late, Otho and Sylvia Hull Castle.
Mrs. Liggett retired from the Ohio State University Cooperative Extension Service - Clinton County 4-H office after 23 years. She was a longtime member of the Richland United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women's Group and the Clinton County Antique Power Club.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Liggett is survived by a son, Dave (Kim) Liggett of Bellbrook, Ohio; a daughter, Lisa (Mike) Williams of Wilmington, Ohio; a sister, Betty (Bill) Beall of Vienna, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Blain Williams, Daron Williams, Jana Williams, Derek Williams, and Alex Liggett.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. William Merriman officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio. Friends may call from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Clinton County 4-H Endowment Fund, 111 S. Nelson Avenue, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 or to Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box 123, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.

ETHEL GROSS
Ethel Gross, 67, of the Port William, Ohio area went home to be with the Lord, 6:10 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2006 while surrounded by her family at Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence. Her husband, Edward D. Gross survives. Mrs. Gross was born November 3, 1938 in Pineville, Kentucky. She was a member of the Wilmington Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gross is survived by her son, Edward W. (Kay) Gross of Leesburg, Ohio; a brother, Clayton (Dee) Saylor of Crystal River, Florida; two sisters, May Ebey of Miamisburg, Ohio and Irene (Jim) Laudermilk of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Justin Gross and Jackie Gross; a brother-in-law, Jim Gross of Dayton, Ohio; and a close family friend, Bud Rogers.
Funeral services will be 4:30 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2006 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Friends may call from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2006 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM, and a funeral service at 2:30 PM, Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Lewis Funeral Home, 224 Main Street, Irvine, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Cobb Hill cemetery, Estill County, Kentucky.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence, 75 Hale Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.

LEWIS CAMPBELL
Lewis Campbell, 72, of Blanchester, Ohio went to be with the Lord, 7:00 AM, Friday, February 17, 2006. His wife, Peggy Doughman Campbell, whom he married June 18, 1955, survives. Mr. Campbell was born August 8, 1933 in Little, Kentucky, son of the late Asberry and Charlotte Strong Campbell. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Campbell was a carpenter for 22 years; he later worked as a millwright until his retirement. He was an active member of Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington. Throughout his life, Mr. Campbell left his mark on his family and all others he came into contact with.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Campbell is survived by a son, Sheldon (Anita) Campbell of Blanchester, Ohio; two daughters, Michele (Brian) Prewitt of Blanchester, Ohio and Casey (Rohit) Kashyap of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Nella Prewitt of Milford, Ohio; grandchildren, Benjamin Prewitt, Mallory Prewitt, Daven Kashyap, and a grandchild soon to be born, Meera Kashyap.
In addition to his parents, five brothers, Howard Campbell, Robert Campbell, Fred Campbell, Shafter Campbell, and David Campbell, and three sisters, Julia Thompson, Eva White, and Kathryn Harvey are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, Ohio with Pastor Kelly D. McInerney officiating. Burial will be in Woodville cemetery, Clermont County, Ohio. Friends may call from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM, Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington. JACQUELINE HARPER TIPTON
Jacqueline Harper Tipton, 62, of Wilmington, Ohio died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at her residence. Her husband, James C. Tipton, whom she married March 20, 1964, survives. Mrs. Tipton was born March 17, 1945 in Morrow, Ohio, daughter of Julia Betz Harper of Morrow, Ohio and the late Malcolm James "Jim" Harper. She was a graduate of Little Miami High School.
In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Tipton is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Ann Tipton of Cincinnati, Ohio and Janice Lynn Tipton of Waverly, Ohio; four brothers, Jimmie (Sue) Harper Jr. of Goshen, Ohio, John Harper of Morrow, Ohio, Jerry Harper of Lebanon, Ohio, and Jay (Diane) Harper of Morrow, Ohio; a sister, Joanna Quigley of Morrow, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Larry Barker officiating. MARJORIE J. CULBERSON
Marjorie J. Culberson, 82, of Sabina, Ohio (formerly of Martinsville, Ohio) died 2:00 PM, Monday, October 29, 2007 at Autumn Years Nursing Home. Her husband, Quentin A. Culberson, preceded her in death November 2, 1992. They were married December 21, 1943. Mrs. Culberson was born December 27, 1924 in Blanchester, Ohio, daughter of the late James and Mellie Hill Smithson. She was a graduate of Clarksville High School. Mrs. Culberson and her husband were lifelong farmers in the Martinsville area.
Mrs. Culberson is survived by a son, Darrell (Cindy) Culberson of Martinsville, Ohio; three daughters, Carolyn (Danny) Runk of Sabina, Ohio, Helen (James) Reynolds of Clarksville, Ohio, and Denise (Lee) Huff of Martinsville, Ohio; two brothers, Joseph (Helen) Smithson of Clarksville, Ohio and Robert (Marilyn) Smithson of Illinois; a sister, Anna L. (Gene) Valentine of Clarksville, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, Brian Culberson, Christina Culberson, Darelle Culberson, Danitra (Mike) Brown, Dericka Culberson, Shelley (Joseph) Sole, Mathew (Suzanne) Runk, Kevin Reynolds, Katrina (James) Franklin, Anna Reynolds, Carisa (Jerry) West, Jason (Mandy) Benlehr, and Daniel Huff; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, twin sons, Ronald and Donald Culberson, and a brother, Harold Smithson, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Dan Mayo officiating. HELEN L. PERRY
Helen L. Perry, 80, of Wilmington, Ohio died 2:32 AM, Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence. Ms. Perry was born July 16, 1927 in Athens County, Ohio, daughter of the late Alonzo M. and Leonora Carman Perry. She graduated from Wilmington High School in 1945 and from Wilmington College in 1949 with a B. S. in education. She was a member of the Delta Omega Theta sorority.
As a high school student, she worked part-time as a page at the Wilmington Public Library. While attending college, she was a part-time employee at Miller and Turner Jewelers. After graduation she continued as an employee there, becoming manager and eventually co-owner of the downtown Wilmington store. She was an accredited Gemologist, having completed the courses of The Gemological Institute of America in l956. After retiring from Miller and Turner, she was employed at The Fabric Shack in Wilmington and Waynesville for several years. Ms. Perry was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She enjoyed knitting and quilting, and made many finely crafted items which she gave to the family. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews and occupied a very special place in their lives. Her great-nieces and great-nephews loved spending time with her and listening to her amusing stories and tall tales.
Ms. Perry is survived by two brothers, Robert C. (Pat) Perry and Richard (Jean Ann Barrett) Perry; a sister, Virginia (Bruce) Buckley; 11 nieces and nephews, William Mason Perry, Kristine Perry, Robert K. (Leah) Perry, Stuart (Mary) Perry, Kathy Perry, Debbie (Bill) Perry, Stephen (Tracey) Perry, Lance (Tena) Perry, Douglas (Kathy) Buckley, Mark (Charlotte) Buckley, and Lisa Buckley; 17 great nieces and great nephews, Sarah (Chris) Lyles, Aaron (Hayley) Perry, Seth Perry, Bethany Perry, Nathan Perry, Leah Perry, Rachel Perry, Jacob Perry, Justin Perry, Lauren Perry, Josh Perry, Nic Perry, Jennifer Buckley, Corey Buckley, Hannah Buckley, Gunnar Buckley, and Kirsten Buckley; a great-great niece, Brylee Claire; and three cousins, Cousins: Marguerite Efaw, Sharon Dix, and Ramona Jennice.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Bill Perry, Rev. Jeffrey Bartlett, & Rev. Dr. Lance Perry officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice, 200 R. Gordon Dr., Wilmington, OH 45177.

GARY E. McCOLLUM
Gary E. McCollum, 62, of Columbus, Ohio died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at his residence. Mr. McCollum was born May 8, 1945 in Morrow, Ohio, son of the late Glendon E. McCollum and Eunice I. Borton. He was a graduate of Blanchester High School. Mr. McCollum had been employed at Vectra Printing in Columbus for the past 9 years. Prior to that, he worked for Central Printing in Dayton.
Mr. McCollum is survived by a son, Gregory (Jackie) McCollum of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two daughters, Michelle (Jerry) Gifford of Pittsboro, North Carolina and Chelsie McCollum of Wapakoneta, Ohio; a sister, Barbara Heno of Tavares, Florida; four grandchildren, Ashley Gifford, Ryan Watson, Adam McCollum, and Jacob McCollum; and his fiance, Mosetta Coffenberger of Columbus, Ohio. In addition to his parents, a grandson, Justin Watson, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Jefferson Township cemetery, Westboro, Ohio. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.

JOSEPHINE M. WILLIAMS
Josephine M. Williams, 97, of New Vienna, Ohio died 6:08 AM, Saturday, November 3, 2007 at her residence. Her husband, Homer K. Williams, preceded her in death January 7, 1993. They were married September 2, 1932. Mrs. Williams was born July 31, 1910 on Derivan Road, Clinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Ennis and Nelle Elliott Miller. She was the last surviving member of the 1928 graduating class of New Vienna High School.
In addition to being a homemaker, mother, and a special grandmother, Mrs. Williams was an excellent seamstress. She made clothing for her children as they were growing up and had made several wedding dresses for people. She was a member of the New Vienna Church of Christ, the New Vienna Women's Club, the New Vienna Senior Citizens, the Clinton County Historical Society, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Country Quilters Quilt Club in Hillsboro. She was active in several bridge clubs and did genealogy research for the Clinton County Historical Society.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Martha J. (Charles D.) Knauff of New Vienna, Ohio; four grandchildren, Thomas K. Knauff of New Vienna, Ohio, Phillip D. Knauff of New Vienna, Ohio, Elizabeth (Rod) Hardesty of Van Wert, Ohio, and Christina Miller of Lima, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Peter L. Merkle and Samantha Gray; a great-great grandson, Dylan Leseld; a son-in-law, Lowell E. Weitz of Celina, Ohio; a cousin, Edith Tucker of Wilmington, Ohio; and a great nephew, Ed (Carol) Williams of Sabina, Ohio. In addition to her husband and parents, a daughter, Mary Jo Weitz, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the New Vienna Church of Christ, 148 West Street, New Vienna, Ohio with Sidney Clay officiating. Burial will be in Auburn cemetery, Highland County, Ohio. Friends may call from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home, 64 S. LOIS JEAN WOLLENSLEGEL
Lois Jean Wollenslegel, 82, of Wilmington, Ohio died 7:25 AM, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Cape May Retirement Village. Her husband, George C. Wollenslegel, preceded her in death April 5, 2003. They were married November 13, 1948. Mrs. Wollenslegel was born June 13, 1925 in Seneca County, Ohio, daughter of the late Verne and Florence Cole Warner. Her passions were her family, her home, playing bridge, and shopping with her daughter.
Mrs. Wollenslegel is survived by a son, Craig (Becky) Wollenslegel of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Kay (Larry) Fisher of Wilmington, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Aaron) Daniels, Andrea Wollenslegel, Cole Wollenslegel, and Cody Wollenslegel; a sister-in-law, Lucy (Robert) Bowman; and a brother-in-law, Robert Wollenslegel. In addition to her husband and parents, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, Richard and Ethel Warner, preceded in death.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

HAYWARD "CAPTAIN" CRONE
Hayward "Captain" Crone, 68, of New Vienna, Ohio died 8:50 AM, Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. His wife, Ruth Hesler Crone, whom he married October 25, 1959, survives. Mr. Crone was born August 17, 1939 in New Vienna, Ohio, son of the late Harry Crone Sr. and Elva Parr Crone.
Mr. Crone worked for Southern Ohio Tool & Die in New Vienna until its closure. He was also an antique trader and collector of Indian Artifacts. Mr. Crone had been the New Vienna community Santa Claus for 37 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1224 and a birth rite member of the New Vienna Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Crone is survived by three sons, Edwin B. (Robin) Crone of Wilmington, Ohio, Michael H. (Kim) Crone of Rainsboro, Ohio, and Jeffery A. (Debbie) Crone of New Vienna, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Rebekah (Mathew) Long, Rachel (Anthony) Ingersoll, Michael Crone II, Brandon Crone, Joshua Potts, Mathew Potts, Amanda Schomer, and Joshua Teasley; and five great grandchildren, Savannah Lisk, Sierra Royer, Makayla Long, Morgan Long, and Kydan Sutton Potts. In addition to his parents, a brother, Harry "Bud" Crone, and four sisters, Evelyn Hamilton, Helen Murphy, Betty Priest, and Bonnie Carnes, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, December 14, 2007 at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home, 64 S. South Street, New Vienna, Ohio. Burial will be in New Vienna I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

CATHERINE F. NICODEMUS
Catherine F. Donahue Nicodemus, 88, of Wilmington, Ohio died 4:23 PM, Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Autumn Years Nursing Center. Her husband, Royal Martin "Nick" Nicodemus, preceded her in death December 29, 2006. They were married June 19, 1938. Mrs. Nicodemus was born April 21, 1919 in Blanchester, Ohio, daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Donahue and Hazel Isabelle Sheets Donahue. She attended Blanchester High School.
Mrs. Nicodemus worked at Servomation for 33 years. She was also co-owner of D & N Market in Wilmington. She was an avid collector of dolls, Christmas houses, and glass baskets. She loved going to auctions and was passionate about animals. She learned to "surf" the internet at the age of 82 and enjoyed shopping on EBay for antiques. For six years of her life, Mrs. Nicodemus, was a foster mother to four children from Montgomery County; they were Patty Staton, Rita Mae Daskalos, Sadie Rose Hamilton, and Christy Mae Denny.
Mrs. Nicodemus is survived by a daughter, Charlotte (Clifford) Fahrer of Wilmington, Ohio; two grandchildren, Martin (Jenny) Fahrer of New York, New York and Kathleen Fahrer of Wilmington, Ohio; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, two brothers, Marion Donahue and Harold Donahue, and four sisters, Dorothy Drake, Frances Taylor, Gladys Lavone Donahue, and Mary Lucille Donahue, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Robert G. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
