WILLIAM C. BRUNN
William C. Brunn, 84, of Wilmington, Ohio died 6:34 PM, Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. His wife, E. Helen Maul Brunn, whom he married August 16, 1975, survives. Mr. Brunn was born March 16, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio, son of the late Clair and Wilhelmina Blues Brunn. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and participated in the D-Day Invasion.
Mr. Brunn retired from the American Thread Company in 1980 where he was a sales representative. He was a member of the F&AM; Lodge 52 in Wilmington and the Aladdin Shrine in Columbus. He was also an avid golfer and had held a pilots license since 1964.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Brunn is survived by two daughters, Robin Markenett and Becky Vanpelt; a stepson, Michael Anderson; a stepdaughter, Esther Reed; a half sister; 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, two brothers, and a stepsister are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 49 Memorial Squad. Friends may call from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Aladdin Shrine Center 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-3044.

PAUL ELLIS
Paul Ellis, 86, of Wilmington, Ohio, went to be with his wife, Lillian on Thursday, August 21, 2008, the day of their 61st anniversary. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who loved his family, friends, and country with all his heart, which was as big as the Great Outdoors. Mr. Ellis was born December 6, 1921, in Norwood, Ohio, son of the late Albert and Virginia Rose Ellis. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, Mr. Ellis served in the Fourth Marine Division on several campaigns in the Pacific Theater. He was wounded at Iwo Jima and earned two Purple Hearts. He also was a drill instructor at Parris Island, South Carolina.
Mr. Ellis owned and operated the Ellis Fence Company and was formerly was a farmer. He faithfully attended the monthly meetings of the Marine Corps League. He attended the Wilmington Church of Christ, and was a season ticket holder of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team for 30 years.
Mr. Ellis is survived by three sons, Kevin (Mary) Ellis of Wilmington, Ohio, Ronald (Nanci) Gleis of Cincinnati, Ohio and Harry (Maureen) Gleis of Hamilton Township, Ohio; a daughter, Paula Jean Schiml of West Alexandria, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jared (Brandi) Ellis, Brady (Taylor) Ellis, Tracy (Jessica) Brown, Sheli (Ray) Williams, Mark (Marissa) Gleis, Deann Ramey, Stephen (Sheri) Gleis, Crystal Stephens, Zach Grove, and Tyler Grove; 12 great-grandchildren, Paul, Alex, Adam, Morgan, Michael, Chelsea, Madeline, McKenzie, Megan, Marissa, Jacob, and Jensen; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Samuel Schiml; and two brothers, George Ellis and Everett Ellis.
The funeral service will be conducted 10:30 AM, Monday, August 25, 2008 at Mr. Ellis' residence, 3326 Route 22 and 3 West, Wilmington, Ohio with Steve Wetterhan officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 49 memorial squad. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. RICHARD A. HAUBERT
Richard A. Haubert, 79, of Wilmington, Ohio, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne M. Bercaw Haubert. Mr. Haubert was born November 26, 1928, in Canton, Ohio, son of the late Harry and Viola Fry Haubert. He gave 34 years of devotion and loyalty to his country, serving in the U.S. National Guard. He was a devoted husband and cherished father.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Haubert is survived by three children, Jill (Dale) Middleton of Wilmington, Ohio, Julie Schanda of Wilmington, Ohio, and Jeffrey Haubert of Williamsburg, Ohio; his six adored grandchildren, Rick Schanda, Ken Schanda, Tim Schanda, Jeff Pace, Jared Middleton, and Taylor Haubert; a beloved niece, Carol Dennis; a beloved nephew, Jack Dennis; and numerous friends. In addition to his parents, a brother, Jack Haubert, and two sisters, Venola Dennis and June M. Mulally are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, 27, 2008 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203 or to a hospice of the donor's choice.

DONALD THOMAS MOORE
Donald Thomas Moore, 86, a lifelong resident of Clarksville, Ohio, died 9:54 AM, Sunday, August 24, 2008 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Hillard Moore, who died in 2000. They were married March 1, 1947. Mr. Moore was born January 24, 1922, in Clarksville, Ohio, son of the late Roy and Ruth Williams Moore. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Moore was a millwright at GE in Evendale until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the International Order of Machinists.
Mr. Moore is survived by two sons, Jeffrey A. Moore of Xenia, Ohio and D. Gregory Moore of Morrow, Ohio; a daughter, Jennifer S. Moore of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Marjorie Satterthwaite of Wilmington, Ohio; four grandchildren, Amy Quallen, Melissa Houser, Tracy (Bronson) Funke, and Brittany Moore; four great-grandchildren, Corey Quallen, Cameron Quallen, Sadie Funke, and Ryder Funke; a niece; two nephews; and a special friend, Benna Dean DeBoard of Clarksville, Ohio.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM, Friday, August 29, 2008 at the Clarksville cemetery with military honors presented by the American Legion Post 49 memorial squad. ANNIE GILLILAND
Annie Catherine Britton Gilliland, 98, of McDonough, Georgia (formerly of New Vienna, Ohio) died 6:50 PM, Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at her residence. Her husband, Leo Gilliland, preceded her in death. Mrs. Gilliland was born July 11, 1910 in Highland County, Ohio, daughter of the late Leslie and Sallie Sharp Britton. She was a devoted Christian who had been a member of either the New Vienna Church of Christ or the Mt. Olive Church of Christ all of her life
Mrs. Gilliland is survived by a son, Robert (Daisy) Gilliland of Martinsville, Ohio; three daughters, Mary Ann (Bobby) McCullough of McDonough, Georgia, Sarah (Delbert) Drake of Martinsville, Ohio, and Daisy (Lou) Lisk of New Vienna, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Dawn, Richard, Jimmy, Bobby, Brian, Amy, Jamie, Mark, David, Teresa, and Brenda; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, four sons, John Gilliland, Charles Gilliland, Richard Gilliland, and Virgil Gilliland, a brother, Jonah Britton, two sisters, Josephine Britton Pulliam and Ina Britton Eichenauer, and three grandchildren, Robbie, Danny, and Cathy, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the New Vienna Church of Christ, 148 West Street, New Vienna, Ohio with Sidney Clay officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the New Vienna Church of Christ. EMMET E. SMITH
Emmet E. Smith, 79, of Wilmington, Ohio, died 5:40 PM, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at his residence. His wife, Janet R. Amlin Smith, preceded him in death October 30, 2003. They were married November 20, 1949. Mr. Smith was born February 16, 1930, in London, Ohio, son of the late Howard T. and Jesse Hastings Smith. He was a graduate of Plattsburg High School in Springfield.
Mr. Smith had been in the automobile business since 1964 and was employed at Bill Marine Ford Inc. for 15 years. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks 797 and an avid golfer.
Mr. Smith is survived by a son, Steven E. (Kelle) Smith of Xenia, Ohio; a sister, Mary Krause of Columbus, Ohio; a granddaughter, Ashley Pickering of Xenia, Ohio; a nephew, Tom Farish of Springfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and many friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to his wife and parents, a brother, Jim Smith, and a sister, Peggy Calloway, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Pastor Bill Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. ALBERTA B. LANE WILSON
Alberta Bernadine Pritchard Lane Wilson, 89, of Wilmington, Ohio died 11:50 AM, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence. Her second husband, Kenneth N. Wilson, whom she married February 7, 1998, survives. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Lane. She was born November 25, 1919 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Hugh G. and Iva Mae Redefer Pritchard.
She retired from Huntington Bank and was the former owner of Bo-Peep Playland and Nursery. Later, she enjoyed greeting people at McDonalds. Christmas was always Alberta's favorite holiday, and she enjoyed decorating for it. She loved making ceramics, doing crafts, dancing, singing, walking, and seeing her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her second husband, she is survived by three daughters, Tamara (Tom) Weisenstein of Galena, Ohio, Roberta (Mike) Sharp of Delaware, Ohio, and Lucinda Lane of Columbus, Ohio; four stepchildren, Jack Lane of Johnstown, Ohio, Sharon Butler of Sun City, South Carolina, Jeannie (Frank) Brooks of Dayton, Ohio, and Vicki (Greg Shultz) Wilson of Wilmington, Ohio; two brothers, Lowell Pritchard of Massillon, Ohio and Lloyd (Sakiko) McClintock of Sun City, Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Lane; 10 grandchildren, Tim Weisenstein, Mike Lane, Jason (Ginn) Lane, Laura Steitz, Tiffany Parsley, Samuel (Carlie) Parsley, Shawn Williams, Robert Carpenter, Lisa (Jimmy) Chin, and Angie Lane; 16 great grandchildren, Chaz, Laina, Carson, Aubrey, Kirk, Tyler, Gavin, Dillon, Jessie, Sophia, Sebastian, Reece, Hallie, Samantha, Vincent, and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her first husband and parents, a son, Terry Jay Lane, a brother, Darold Pritchard, a grandson, Tab Weisenstein, and a great grandson, Blake Weisenstein, are preceded in death.
A celebration of Alberta's life will be held at a later date at the home of Tamara and Tom Weisenstein, 5929 Big Walnut Road, Galena, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box 123, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 or to Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Residence, 75 Hale Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.

PAULINA BELLE EASTON
Paulina Belle Easton, 83, of Wilmington, Ohio died 9:25 AM, Monday, July 6, 2009 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Her husband, John K. Easton, preceded her in death November 2, 2006. They were married July 31, 1948. Mrs. Easton was born March 27, 1926 in Addyston, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry E. and Annabelle Anness Kaiser. She was a graduate of Miami University and a member of the Wilmington Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Easton is survived by three daughters, Jean Ann Easton of Cincinnati, Ohio, Polly Taylor of Wilmington, Ohio, and Lisa (Tim) Jackson of Chesterfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Holly Easton, Ashley (Wilkie) Santos, Todd Taylor, Erin Jackson, Bethany Taylor, Daniel Jackson, and Kelsey Easton; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, a son, John K. Easton II, and a twin sister, Eugenia Mae Graf, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Wilmington Presbyterian Church, 840 Timber Glen Drive, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. David Judd officiating. GARNET FISHER
Garnet Fisher, 93, of Wilmington, Ohio and a longtime resident of the New Vienna area died 6:11 AM, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Harold E. Fisher, preceded her in death May 22, 1980. They were married December 22, 1939. Mrs. Fisher was born February 11, 1916 in Kentucky, daughter of the late William and Bertha Fields Cline. She was a graduate of Wilmington College.
Before her marriage Mrs. Fisher was a schoolteacher in the Ironton, Ohio area. After she was married , she became a farm wife. She was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and the New Vienna Women's Club.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Cline of Hillsboro, Ohio; three nieces, Cathy (Jeff) Martin, Lois (Tom) Lemley, and Billie (Joel) Setzekorn; and several cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, William H. Cline, is preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home, 64 S. South Street, New Vienna, Ohio with Keith Dimbath officiating. JUANITA SUTO
Juanita Suto, 90, of Lebanon, Ohio (formerly of Wilmington, Ohio) died 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Lebanon Country Manor, Lebanon, Ohio. Her husband, Joseph Suto, preceded her in death. Mrs. Suto was born November 21, 1918, in Green Township, Clinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Helen Quigley Hunter.
Mrs. Suto is survived by a son, Thomas G. (Elaine) Priest II of Venice, Florida; a daughter, Vicki S. (Robert D.) Kolthoff of Lebanon, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Hilda Hunter of Kentucky; five grandchildren, Rhonda, Yvonne, Yvette, Stephanie, and Christian; and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, two brothers, William Hunter and Virgil E. Hunter, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Nancy McCormick officiating. RICHARD A SCHUTTE
Richard A. Schutte, 47, of New Vienna, Ohio died 1:00 AM, Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington, Ohio. Mr. Schutte was born September 25, 1961, in Springfield, Ohio, son of Joseph and Carol Armstrong Schutte, both of New Vienna. He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Schutte is survived by his fiance, Peggy Sewell of Martinsville, Ohio; a son, Anthony Schutte of Channelview, Texas; four brothers, Michael (Valerie) Schutte of New Vienna, Ohio, John Schutte of Blanchester, Ohio, James (Susan) Schutte of Wilmington, Ohio, and Joseph Schutte Jr. of New Vienna, Ohio; a sister, Linda (Dean) Ruble of New Vienna, Ohio; aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in New Vienna I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2009 at L.
