Norma Jean Posey
(1929-2005)

Norma Jean Posey, 75, died Friday, April 29, 2005, at El Cajon, Calif. She was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Bryan and had retired from a printing company after more than 20 years of service as a shipping clerk.
Surviving are her children, Mrs. Salvador (Beverly) Torres of Ramona, Calif., Mrs. Kapena (Debra) Downey of San Diego, Calif. and David (and wife, Kimberly) Posey of Meridian, Idaho; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Harold (Betty) Summey of Lake Havasu, Ariz.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Shiffler Cemetery, Pulaski, with Pastor John MacFarlane of the First Baptist Church of Bryan to officiate. Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, is in charge of local arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vitas Hospice, 9655 Granite Ridge #300, San Diego, CA 92123.

Naomi W. Tressler
(1930-2005)

DEFIANCE - Naomi W. Tressler, 74, of Defiance, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Toledo Hospital.
Born July 16, 1930, at Upper Sandusky, to Helen (VanVoorhis) and Hubert J. Clark, she married Kenneth I. Tressler on April 1, 1953, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1982.
A homemaker, she was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 680 of Ney. She was also a member and past president of the DAV.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel E. Tressler of Ney and Gerald "Garry" Tressler of Defiance; a daughter, Pamela Tressler of Defiance; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (June) Tressler and Mrs. Olive Bates, both of Kokomo, Ind.; and a brother, William James Woodruff of Wabash, Ind.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Homer L. Woodruff; a son, Kim Robin Tressler; and a brother, Richard Woodruff.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Liming to officiate. Burial will be in Ney Cemetery, Defiance County.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Norma I. Moore
(1931-2005)

DEFIANCE - Norma I. Moore, 73, of Defiance, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at the Defiance Regional Medical Center, Defiance.
Born July 17, 1931, at Wyandotte, Mich., to Leah (Trietch) and Olin Mansfield, she married William F. Moore on Aug. 27, 1950, and he survives.
A 1949 graduate of Oakwood High School, she had worked as a cook at several area restaurants, including L & K - First Federal Bank, Karl's Drive Inn and Tastee Freeze.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Gary (and wife, Deb) Moore of Defiance; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Candy) Fox of West Unity, Ms. Brenda McCoy of Defiance and Mrs. Tom (Beth) Knipp of Defiance; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jim (Nelverta) Skiver of Continental; and a brother, Orwin Mansfield of Defiance.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two grandchildren, and a sister, Donelda Beck.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance, and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the North Mount Zion Church, Putnam County.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Brent Gibson to officiate.
Memorials may be made to the church or to the donor's choice.

Fredrick "Fred" Alpaugh

DEXTER, Mich. - Fredrick M. Alpaugh, 54, of Dexter and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died Friday, May 13, 2005, at Chelsea Community Hospital.
A self-employed painter for many years, he resided in Dexter with his mother, Colleen, and brother, Byron.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Ricky Lee Scott of Clayton, Mich. and Byron R. Cook of Dexter; a sister-in-law, LeAnna of Clayton, Mich.; a son, Freddie Alpaugh; two stepchildren, Darlene and Jesse; two grandchildren, Joan and Nolan; a stepgranddaughter, Anna Marie; his aunt, Mrs. Jim (Paula) Delong; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Candise; a nephew, Jay Scott; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Alpaugh and Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Pfeifer.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, Mich.

Wilma Elaine Boyer
(1915 - 2005)

MONTPELIER - Wilma Elaine Boyer, 89, of Montpelier, died Tuesday, May 16, 2005, at Arden Courts, Livonia, Mich.
Born Oct. 20, 1915, at Gratiot County, Mich., to Johanna (Hubner) and Julius A. Wilk, she married Robert W. Boyer on May 11, 1940, at St. Louis, Mich., and he preceded her in death in October, 1993.
A 1933 graduate of Alma High School in Michigan, she had attended Davis Business College in Toledo for one year.
Formerly of Ferndale and Southfield, Mich., she moved to Montpelier in September of 1979. She had been a clerical worker for various companies and was a member of St. PaulŐs United Methodist Church.
She loved gardening, music and decorating, roses and the color pink. She always had a smile and a positive attitude about everything. She loved her daughters and was so proud of her grandson, Andrew.
Mom, we love you and will miss you greatly.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Judith) Parker of Chelsea, Mich. and Ms. Mary Beth Boyer of Ferndale, Mich.; and a grandson, Andrew (and wife, Tammy) Parker of Ann Arbor, Mich. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from after noon until the time of service in the Thompson Funeral Home-Montpelier.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Ric S. Dye to officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, Hospice of Williams County or Heartland Hospice of Southfield, Mich.

Lilly George Isaac
(1924 - 2005)

Lilly George Isaac, 80, passed away May 16, 2005 in Toledo, Ohio. She was born November 22, 1924 in Parma, Ohio the daughter of Habeeb and Frieda George who emigrated from Lebanon as young adults. She graduated from Parma High School in 1942. Following graduation from IBM Computer School, she worked at Warner and Swasey in Cleveland, Ohio in the new computer department as an IBM keypunch operator and private secretary in the executive office. Lill moved to Bryan, Ohio in the fall of 1949 after marrying George Isaac, Jr. In 2003, she moved to Toledo, Ohio due to health reasons. In Bryan, she became involved in many community charities. Prior to the birth of her two sons, she was involved in the local Girl Scouts. Thereafter she served as a Den mother and Pack Secretary for the local Cub Scout pack for many years and was active in numerous activities in the local schools in many capacities. Lill was active for many years in the Bryan Civic League and served as President in 1963. She was also active in The Wesley United Methodist Church for over 50 years, but maintained her membership in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a 55 year member of the Eastern Star and held other memberships in the Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch, White Shrine, Orchard Hills Country Club, Bryan Community Hospital Auxiliary, Williams County Historical Society, Women of the Moose, Republican Women and the YWCA/YMCA where she swam daily for many years. Lilly received great joy from helping others who were in need, particularly the elderly.
She is survived by her sons George (Shari) Isaac, III, and their children, Drew and Megan recently of Toledo and now residing in Santa Barbara, California and Zac (Dee) Isaac and their children Ashley and Allie of Toledo; one sister, Ramona Darmour of Parma, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Habeeb and Frieda George, her sister, Somia Abookire and her brothers, Minor and Rudolph George.
The family wishes to thank the Home Instead home health care helpers and the staff at Kingston Residence of Sylvania for the care, kindness, and compassion provided to Lill during the last 1 1/2 years.
Friends will be received at the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn St., Bryan, Ohio (419-636-3139) from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2005. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 903 Center Street, Bryan, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations be made to the Bryan Area Foundation (Lilly George Isaac Fund), PO Box 651, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
