Dianne Erickson Doyle

Savannah, Georgia - Dianne Erickson Doyle of Norwalk, Ohio died of a heart attack Wednesday February 13, 2008 while vacationing in Savannah Georgia. She attended Sandusky High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She worked as a fashion model in New York City before marring Kevin Doyle and moving to Norwalk 45 years ago. She was a member of the Rotary Annes. She volunteered for the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association and St. Mary Church. She is survived by her husband Kevin Doyle of Norwalk, by her sons and daughter in law Kevin Doyle, Jr. of New York City, Charlie and Lori Doyle of Norwalk, Ohio, and by her daughter and son in law Kerry Doyle Waite and Dylan Waite of Chicago, Illinois. Also survived by 2 grandchildren and by her sister Lynn and brother Jack both of Sandusky, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father Thurston Erickson, mother Mary Overmyer, step father V.E. Overmyer and sisters Ann and Sherrill. Friends may call on Monday February 18, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. Norwalk, OH. A Memorial mass will be held on Tuesday February 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 38 West League St. Norwalk, Ohio. Patricia M. Williams

Keystone Heights, Florida - Patricia M. Williams, 60, of Keystone Heights, FL passed away Friday, November 6, 2009. She was born to Joseph and Marjorie Zika on January 16, 1949 in Sandusky, OH.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 27 years, Randall D. Williams; daughter, Arianne E. Jenkins; mother, Marjorie Zika; grandson, Joshua Jenkins; brothers, John and David Zika; and sisters, Jacquelyn Miller and Prudence Bowser. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph P. Zika and brother, Daniel Zika.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 14, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Services at 3:30 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. Norwalk, Ohio.

Raymond F. Kramer

Norwalk, Ohio - Raymond F. Kramer, 83, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Monday, November 9, 2009 in Twilight Gardens Home. He was born September 19, 1926 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late August S. and Hilda C (Ott) Kramer and was a lifelong area resident.
Ray was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in W.W.II and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was the founder and owner of the Norwalk Pallet Company and was a retired rural Postal Carrier at the Wakeman Post Office and had also worked in the Norwalk Post Office. Ray was a former Boy Scout Leader for Troop #234 of Norwalk and was the 2008 Huron County Fair Senior King. He was an avid fisherman, and also enjoyed camping, wood carving, gardening, playing cards, and the companionship of his pets.
Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan M. (Hilson) Kramer of Norwalk and by his children, Gerald P. and Nancy J. (Didion) Kramer of Westerville, Ohio, Diane M. and Michael Wasiniak of Norwalk, Ohio, Thomas A. Kramer of Fredonia, New York, and Mary E. and Stephen Bertsch of Baltimore, Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Kramer, Scott Anthony Kramer, Robert M. Wasiniak, Luke M. Wasiniak, Sarah M. Burger, Benjamin M. Wasiniak, Zac M. Wasiniak, Thomas W. Kramer, David M. Kramer, Rebecca D. Kramer, Amanda R. Cowgill, and Jonathan R. Bertsch and 8 great grandchildren.
Ray is also survived by his brother and sister in law, Paul and Jane Kramer of California, by his sister, Mary Trendell of Toledo, Ohio and will be missed by his friends at Twilight Gardens Home. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Kramer in 2001.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio where prayer services will be held at 4:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Interment will be in St. Paul cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Athletic Boosters Club or to Southern Care Hospice Service, 775 Lexington Avenue, Suite M, Mansfield, Ohio 44907.

Francis E. Burk

Norwalk, Ohio - Francis E. Burk, 91, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Friday, December 11, 2009 in Fisher Titus Medical Center.
He was born April 22, 1918 in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Lewis and Agnes L. (Keyser) Burk and came to this area in 1923 from Lakewood. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio, where he was a Eucharistic Minister. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving 3 1/2 years in the South Pacific during W. W. II. Francis was a life member of Firelands Post #2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a former member of the Lyme Village Historical Society, the Civil War round table, and the 11th Bomb Group Unit Association. He was a pilot and former captain of the former Civil Air Patrol of Norwalk . He was a welder for Fredericks, Inc. in Norwalk for 26, years, and retired in 1999 after 27 years from P & R Hardware Store, Norwalk. Francis enjoyed Woodworking, and making miniature furniture.
He is survived by his son Michael L. Burk of Plymouth, Ohio, by his daughter Martha K. Burk of Norwalk, Ohio, and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta E. Burk in 2006, and by his brothers, Harold L., Norman D., Lawrence B. and John Burk, and by his sister Dorothy Didion.
There will be no visitation. Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio, Rev. Frances Speier will officiate. Inurnment will be in Riverside cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio. Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.

Helen Sarah Reilly

Norwalk, Ohio - Helen Sarah Reilly died peacefully at Memorial Home of Norwalk on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at age 94. Helen was able to remain in her home with assistance until very recently.
Helen was born February 7, 1915 on the Hasbrock Road family farm, just south of Norwalk. She was the eldest of seven children born to Edward Roscoe Reilly and Anna Head Walsworth Reilly. At the age of 16 she went to work for Edward and Alice Ward at Ward's Electric Service in Norwalk. She made her home with the Ward's at 130 Benedict until their passing in the 1970's. Helen has resided on Homewood Avenue in Norwalk since the late seventies. When the Ward's retired, Helen worked at Woolworth's in downtown Norwalk for 25 years, retiring in 1977.
Helen was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norwalk. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Stella Maris Circle #384. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Anna Reilly, her sisters, Alice Weidinger of Mesa, Arizona, Hazel Hite of Norwalk, Lucille, who died in infancy, and her brother, Robert Reilly of Norwalk.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Hite, her brother, John Reilly, both of Norwalk, her niece, Lynne (Shoemaker) Mills, whom she raised, Lynne's children, Jennifer Eiriksson of Madison, Indiana, Jeremy Mills of Columbus, and Allison Mills of Columbus whom Helen considered her grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Helen's family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the many employees of Norwalk Easter Seals and Stein Hospice. Their selfless efforts allowed Helen to live independently in her own home until just before her passing.
Friends may call on Friday, January 8, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Prayers will be recited on Saturday, January 9, 2009 at 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Bill Pfeifer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.

Mary A. Sheets

Mary A. Sheets, 87, of Norwalk died peacefully on January 10, 2010 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Oh.
Mrs. Sheets had been a resident of the city for the past five years and most recently had lived at The Carriage House assisted living facility. She was a member of St. Paul Parish in Norwalk. Born May 28, 1922, in Wellington, she was the daughter of Sam Marlette and Catherine Saporito.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty seven years Robert Sheets of Ashland and by her sisters Carmella Caruso and Ann Scarvelli. She is survived by her sister Nancy Gumina. She is also survived by her grateful children: Thomas Sheets, her son, and wife Sandra of Las Vegas, NV, and her daughter Sharon Harwood and husband Dr. Jeffrey Harwood of Norwalk. Five loving grand children survive: Damian Sheets and his wife Christine of Las Vegas, Courtney Sheets of Las Vegas, and Amanda Harwood, Jacqueline Harwood and Robert Harwood of Norwalk. Mary was a 58 year resident of Ashland and a member of St. Edwards Parish before moving to Norwalk. She was a devoted and doting mother whose life was spent supporting her husband and raising her family.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul Church in Norwalk on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. officiated by the Rev. Frank Kehres. Burial will be at the Ashland cemetery, Ashland, Ohio following the Funeral Services.
Memorials or donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Mrs. Sheets’ memory to St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 501 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 344857. Arrangements were under the direction of Walker Funeral Home 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio.

Zecheriah M. Meacham

Norwalk, Ohio - Zecheriah M. Meacham, 22, of Norwalk, Ohio, died early Monday morning in the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1987 in Norwalk, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident.
He attended St. Paul Catholic Church and St. Paul High School. Zach was a dry wall finisher and enrolled at Bowling Green State University, Firelands Campus for next semester to begin his education to become a nurse. He enjoyed music and was an outdoorsman. Zach had a passion for learning, was very family oriented and especially enjoyed his time with his own family.
He is survived by his wife, Brittany (Blankenship) Meacham with whom he has shared the last 7 years, and by his son, Caleb W. Meacham of Norwalk, Ohio. He is also survived by his mother, Maureen A. (Gfell) Hafner of Norwalk, Ohio and by his brothers, Jeremiah M. Meacham of Norwalk, Ohio, Brandon M. Hafner of Norwalk, Ohio, Isiah M. Meacham of Bellevue, Ohio and Matthew M. Meacham of Bellevue, Ohio. Zack is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Dick and Elaine Gfell of Norwalk, Ohio, by his paternal grandparents, Philip and Loretta Meacham of Bellevue, Ohio and Donna Billings of Bucyrus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Marty Meacham in 2005.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 5:30 P.M. until the time of memorial service at 7:30 P.M. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Eric Mueller, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church will officiate. Private inurnment will be in the Bellevue cemetery.

John Scheid

Norwalk, Ohio - John Scheid, 72, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Thursday evening, December 10, 2009 in University Hospitals of Cleveland.
John was born May 29, 1937 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Chester and Dolores M. (Weltlin) Scheid and was a lifelong area resident. John was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was the Plant Superintendent of Fanny Farmer Candy Company for 37 years and worked at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wakeman, Ohio for 12 years retiring in 2009. John was a member of the Ohio Trotters and Pacers Association and enjoyed Harness racing and owned and trained his own horse, he also enjoyed cooking, making candy, catering, traveling, building and handy work, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vivian J. (Shannon) Scheid of Norwalk, Ohio and by his children, Terry Lynn of Norwalk, Ohio, Robert W. and Amy Howard Jr. of Collins, Ohio, Michael Scheid of Norwalk, Ohio, Rod and Susan Howard of Norwalk, Ohio and Kenneth J. and Beth Scheid of Norwalk, Ohio, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is also survived by his sister, Lois Dillingham of Arizona and by his half brother, Raymond Scheid of Norwalk, Ohio. George P. Mesenburg

Collins, Ohio - George P. Mesenburg, Sr., 92, of Collins, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in Norwalk Memorial Home.
He was born April 29, 1917 at Middle Bass Island, Ohio to the late Peter C. and Kathryn Mesenburg and was a lifelong Collins area resident. George was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio and Eagles Aerie #711 of Norwalk, Ohio. He was the former co-owner of Mesenburg Trucking Company in 1946 and retired in 2002. George was also a retired farmer. He enjoyed playing cards and Sunday dinners with his family.
George is survived by his children, George P. and Joyce Mesenburg Jr. of Norwalk, Ohio, Charles J. and Janet Mesenburg of Collins, Ohio, Michael J. and Jackie Mesenburg of Milan, Ohio, David A. and Kelly Mesenburg of Norwalk, Ohio, James E. Mesenburg of Collins, Ohio and Kathryn M. and Tom Nesbit of Dayton, Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Viola Marrett of Norwalk, Ohio. George was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean (Myers) Mesenburg in 1986, by his brothers, Walter and Peter Mesenburg and by his sister, Marie Patton.
