Madeline M. Breininger
(1919 - 2005)

Madeline M. Breininger, 86, of rural Farmer, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at her residence.
Born April 25, 1919, in Dekalb County, Ind., to Cethel (Ballinger) and Joseph Hook, she married Raymond F. Breininger on July 13, 1934, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1988. She was a lifelong homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Karen Kay) Bowers-Beck and Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Potter; two sons, Tom (and wife, Judy) and Henry (Zildred) Breininger; 13 grandchildren, Mrs. Tim (Jennifer) Johns, Dennis (Amy) Bowers, Otis (Missy) Beck, Bob (Amy) Beck, Peggy Dusza, Rick (Renee) Potter, Ray (Kelly) Breininger, Randy (Cindy) Breininger, Ryan (Barbara) Breininger, Jim (Lori) Breininger, Mark (Kelly) Breininger, Mrs. Jeff (Melanie) Lehman and Mrs. Tom (Jill) Weihl; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Leila Hook and Lucille Breininger.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Zola Camp Russell and Dorothy Jean Hook; and a brother, Otha Hook.
Visitation will be held today from 2-8 p.m. in the Smith & Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Ken Wellman of First Church of Christ to officiate. Interment will be at Sherwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, First Church of Christ or to the donor's choice.

Bernard W. Boyd
(1912-2005)

MONTPELIER - Bernard W. Boyd, 93, of Montpelier, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan.
Born Oct. 26, 1912, in Montpelier, he was the son of Pearl (Elliott) and Walter Boyd.
A lifelong Montpelier resident, he graduated from Montpelier High School in 1932.
He was a general laborer for the Ohio Turnpike Commission and also for various factories. He was also a horse groomer.
A member of the Montpelier Church of Christ, he was also a member of G.A.L.A./Williams County Senior Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rosalee Boyd; and two brothers, Lester and Leonard Boyd.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, with Pastor Jim Willhoit to officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Williams County Senior Center.

Michael Gerald Whitney
(1943-2005)

ORLANDO, Fla. - Michael Gerald Whitney, 61, of Orlando and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died Nov. 4, 2005, in Orlando.
Born Dec. 20, 1943, at Bryan, Ohio, he was a 1961 graduate of Bryan High School and a 1965 graduate of Hillsdale College with a degree in Secondary Education and mathematics.
A resident of Orlando since 1976, he was employed by the Action Gator Goodyear Tire Company. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Orlando, where his Celebration Service was held on Nov. 6.
Surviving are his wife, Candie Whitney; daughters, Michelle Garner, Lori Whitney (and husband, Jeff Thompson), Mrs. Gerrit (Michael) Boele; sons, John Lamneck and Matthew (and wife, Kim) Lamneck; grandchildren, Vanessa Thompson, Max and Meredith Garner and Jacob and Josh Boele; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Jack Jackson; stepmother, Waneta Rubel; sisters, Jill Costello, Linda McCarthy, Mrs. Jeff (Brenda) Arnold and Mrs. Lonny (Becky) Wheeler; brothers, Barry (Cathy) and Bret Rubel; aunts and uncles, Harold and Inga Strait, Lois and Ralph Clarke, Mim and Max Castor, Sharon Newing, Ned and Becky Rubel, Don and Margaritte Rubel, Jim and Fran Rubel, Phyllis Hagelberger and Petie Rychener; nieces, Beth Bergeron, Kristina and Kadie Costello, Nicole Rubel, Bethany and Courtney King and Elizabeth Sinacola; and nephews, Codie Taylor, Preston McCarthy, Cody and Scott Arnold and Matt Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, Gerald Rubel and Carmen Whitney.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Faith United Methodist Church, 225 E. Butler St., Bryan, with the Rev. Susan Roads to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Florida, 1333 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32804-7133 or the First United Methodist Church of Orlando, 142 E.  Jackson St., Orlando, FL 32801.

Carolyn S. Proudfoot
(1936-2005)

TOLEDO - Carolyn S. Proudfoot, 69, of West Toledo, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Northwest Ohio Hospice in Perrysburg.
Born Aug. 22, 1936, in Toledo, to Virginia (Dennie) and Floyd Wittman, she married E. David Proudfoot on Sept. 15, 1962, and he survives.
A 1954 graduate of DeVilbiss High school, she was employed by Owens-Illinois, AP Parts, and retired from Medicare Equipment Supply. She then worked as a medical records clerk at the Pharmacy Counter, where she also retired.
A lifetime member of Augsburg Lutheran Church, she was a member of the Metroparks Wildwood VIP's volunteer.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Eric Proudfoot; a brother, Dennie (and wife, Mary) Wittman; stepfather, Robert Hardesty; nephews, Keith (Phillis) Kuba of Bryan and Matthew Wittman; nieces, Mrs. Keith (Mary Ann) Ward and Michelle Wittman; and a brother-in-law, William J. Leddy.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a twin sister, Marilyn L. Leddy.
Visitation will be held today from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave., Toledo.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Mathey to officiate. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Augsburg Lutheran Church, Lucas County Metroparks or the Toledo Museum of Art.

Nellie B. Parker
(1917-2005)

SHERWOOD - Nellie B. Parker, 88, of Sherwood, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Hicksville.
Born June 2, 1917, at Paulding, to Ruth (Parker) and David Bristol, she married Dallas Parker on Jan. 25, 1941, and he survives.
She was a member of the former Sherwood United Brethren Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, David (and wife, Peggy) Parker and Donald (Shirley) Parker, both of Sherwood; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Timothy Parker.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Burr Funeral Home and Crematory in Sherwood.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Ted Ramey to officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Madonna R. Eis Watson
(1929-2005)

DEFIANCE - Madonna R. Eis Watson, 76, of Defiance, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Defiance Regional Medical Center.
Born June 28, 1929, at Defiance, to Margaret (Stone) and Newton W. Stites, she married Harold Eis and he preceded her in death in 1982. She married Nicholas Watson in 1993 and he survives.
A member of Cornerstone Church of God in Defiance, she was previously employed as a telephone operator for 24 years in Defiance.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Kenny (Cindy) Dix of Bryan, and a stepsister, Betty Engel of Holgate.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9-11 a.m. in the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. John McFarland to officiate. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Church or to the donors choice.

Sara E. (Hopkins) Kinsley

Sara E. (Hopkins) Kinsley, 77, of Bryan and formerly of Montpelier, died Monday morning, Nov. 28, 2005, at the Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., following a brief illness. Memorial graveside services will be announced at a later date.
Thompson Funeral Home-Montpelier is handling arrangements.
