Donna M. (McLaughlin) Myers
(1923-2005)

WAUSEON - Donna M. (McLaughlin) Myers, 82, of Wauseon, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, following an extended illness.
Born Nov. 25, 1923, at Fulton County, to Margaret (Cameron) and Floyd McLaughlin, she married Verlin Floyd Myers on Oct. 12, 1941, at Henry County and he survives.
A cafeteria employee at Elm Street Schools, Wauseon, for 17 years, she was also employed at McCord Corp. for nine years.
A graduate of Wauseon High School, she was a member of Pettisville Missionary Church, Pettisville, and a volunteer at Fulton County Health Center for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Larry (and wife, Jill) Myers of Celina, Tracy (Julie) Myers of Wauseon and Mrs. Steve (Kathy) Gruenhagen of Wauseon; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Don (Ruth) Myers of Adrian, Mich., Rachel Mittower of Chardon and Mrs. Ray (Carroll) Wells of Ridgeville Corners; and two brothers, John (Marilyn) McLaughlin of Wauseon and Marvin (Jean) McLaughlin of Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service Sunday in the Pettisville Missionary Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the church, with Pastor John Horning and Pastor Dave Dyck to officiate. Interment will follow in Pettisville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the Pettisville Missionary Church or the Gideons International.

Mabel I. (Bankey) Miller
(1907-2005)

ARCHBOLD - Mabel I. (Bankey) Miller, 98, of Archbold, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Browning Of Waterville in Waterville.
Born Feb. 23, 1907, at Bryan, to Louise (Kaiser) and Rhinold Bankey, she married John Miller on Oct. 17, 1929, and he preceded her in death in 1981.
A lifelong homemaker, she was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Archbold.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Judith) Becker of Toledo and Mrs. Miller (Linda) Tillman of Toledo; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service in the Fairlawn Haven Chapel in Archbold.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Fairlawn Haven Chapel with the Rev. Erich Christman to officiate. Interment will be in the Archbold Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Rev. Jerome J. Rhinehart

GREER, S.C. - The Rev. Jerome J. Rhinehart, 70, of Greer and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died Dec. 7, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital.
A native of Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Josephine (Jones) and Everett J. Rhinehart. He was a retired Assembly of God pastor, having served at the First Assembly of God in Bryan, Ohio for 10 years. His last church was the Piedmont Park Assembly of God in Taylors.
He was a member of Christian Assembly of God in Taylors.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Ann Woffford Rhinehart; three daughters, Amber J. Earwood of Greer, Audrey J. Bright of Lyman and Heather C. Blackwell of York, S.C.; two sons, Stephen A. Rhinehart of St. Louis, Mo. and Jeffrey J. Rhinehart of Greer; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Miles S. Rhinehart of Orlando, Fla.; and a sister, Polly Somers of Spartanburg.
He was preceded in death by four sisters.
Visitation will be held this evening from 7-9 p.m. in the Wood Mortuary in Greer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Vineyard Church of God, Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, with the Rev. Roger Allison and the Rev. Jaymon Smith to officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Roger D. Herren
(1954-2005)

EDGERTON - Roger D. Herren, 51, of Edgerton, died unexpectedly early Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at his home.
Born Feb. 17, 1954, he was son of Mildred (Korrok) and Rudy Herren.
He had been employed at Air-Way Manufacturing in Edgerton for the past 16 years.
Surviving are his siblings, Sandy Krontz and Sharon Collins of Edgerton, Carol Compagini of Westland, Mich., Keith Herren of Redford, Mich. and Patty Hopson of Angola, Ind.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Byron Adams to officiate. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Sarah Katherine Pippin
(1922-2005)

Sarah Katherine Pippin, 83, formerly of Bryan and a longtime resident of Goldbond, Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, where she was a resident.
Born Nov. 11, 1922 in Goldbond, to Myrtle May (Lucas) and Charles  Taylor Manning, she married Andrew Pippin and he preceded her in death.
While living in the Bryan area, she was employed at Spangler Candy Company for more than 10 years. While residing in Virginia, she was a cook and restaurant owner for many years and while in Goldbond, she attended the local Baptist church.
Surviving are a son, Robert Lowe; several grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Osborne of Narrows, Va., Cardella Brown of Dublin, Va. and Ella Mae Day of Goldbond; a brother, Dewey Manning of Goldbond; a sister-in-law, Annie Manning of Edon; several stepchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Manning, and a sister, Virginia Snyder.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 1-3 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon.
Services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Steven Scrabeck to officiate. Burial will follow in the Edon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Jerry Deck
(1954-2005)

JONESVILLE, Mich. - Jerry W. Deck, 51, of Jonesville, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at his home.
Born July 3, 1954, in Adrian, Mich., to Bessie M. (Lee) and Thomas F. Deck Sr., he married Susan Hendrix on Aug. 3, 1982, and she survives.
A graduate of North Adams High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a saw operator at Litex in Hillsdale.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Bessie M. Deck of North Adams; daughters, Mrs. Leon (Hope) Cogswell of Montpelier, Ohio, Mrs. Doug (Mandi) Crawford of Pioneer, Ohio, and Mrs. James (Michelle) DeVries of Hillsdale; a son, Kevin (and wife, Charity) Price of Hillsdale; seven grandchildren; a twin brother, Gary Deck of North Adams; and sisters, Rose Pickering of Jonesville, Mrs. David (Diana) Church of Lewisburg, Tenn. and Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Keirns of Osseo. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Thomas "Drifty" Deck Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 p.m. in the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home, Hillsdale. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Paul Pickell to officiate. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hillsdale.

John D. Takacs

"Uncle" John D. Takacs, 67, of Bryan, owner of Takacs Excavating, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio-Bryan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and are pending with the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home of Bryan.
