Alvin J. Nofziger
(1931- 2005)

WAUSEON - Alvin J. Nofziger, 74, of Wauseon, died Monday morning, Dec. 19, 2005, at Medical University of Ohio in Toledo, where he had been a patient for one week.
Born Dec. 7, 1931, near Wauseon, to Ida (Yoder) and Clarence Nofziger, he married Florence King on Sept. 15, 1957, and she survives.
A lifelong resident of the Wauseon area, he farmed and was in partnership with his brothers at Nofziger Brothers Inc. near Wauseon until 1982.
He was a member of West Clinton Mennonite Church near Pettisville.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jeff (and wife, Cathy) Nofziger of Wauseon; two daughters, Mrs. Doug (Patsy)  Jackson of Pettisville and Mrs. Dick (Jodi) Spiess of Archbold; six grandchildren; three brothers, Herbert (Virginia) Nofziger of Lyons, Melvin (Dianne) Nofziger of Wauseon and Burdell (Janice) Nofziger of Archbold; and a sister, Marilyn Verbeck of Indianapolis, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Timothy; three sisters, Waneta Gerig, Letha Waidelich and Arlene Springer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. in the West Clinton Church fellowship hall. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the West Clinton Mennonite Church with Pastors James Roynon and Edward Diener to officiate. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Short Funeral Home of Archbold is in charge of the arrangements.

Juanita M. (Wolff) Heller
(1927- 2005)

HAMILTON, Ind. - Juanita M. (Wolff) Heller, 78, of Hamilton, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Born Oct. 4, 1927, in Steuben County, Ind., she was the daughter of Mary (Robison) and Cardinal Wolff.
A Mary Kay consultant, she was the head of housekeeping at Holiday Inn of Angola and Montpelier, Ohio.
She was a member of the Angola Christian Church and Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are three sons, Steve Heller of Grabill, Ron Heller and Dave Heller, both of Hamilton; two daughters, Deb Hurraw of Hamilton and Denise Buell of Angola; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe Wolff of Edon, Ohio; and two sisters, Gloria Noll of Houston, Texas, and Betty Stayner of Edon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Joellen Heller in 1951; and a grandson, Brian Shane Heller in 1985.
Funeral services were to be held today at 11 a.m. in the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with Pastor Jim Hulbert officiating. Burial will be at Eddy Cemetery, Dekalb County, Ind.
Memorials may be made to the Parkview Heart Institute.

Clifford L. "Skip" Reamsnyder
(1922- 2005)

MONTPELIER - Clifford L. "Skip" Reamsnyder, 83, of Montpelier and formerly of Adrian, Mich., died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier, where he had been a resident the past several months.
Born Aug. 24, 1922, in Port Clinton, to Ruth A. (Travis) and Shirl F. Reamsnyder, he married Betty J. Eggleston-Sines on Feb. 8, 1964, in Adrian, Mich. and she survives.
A self-employed truck driver, he was also involved in assisting the Amish community in their transportation needs.
He was a member of the Edon American Legion Post No. 662 and was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, St. Petersburg, Fla.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Wilkerson of Adrian, Mich. and Vickie (Sines) Osmun of Montpelier; three stepsons, Samuel (and wife, Laura Kay) Sines and Larry D. Sines, both of Montpelier, and Leo (Pegge) Sines of Edgerton; 17 stepgrandchildren; 34 stepgreat-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Thelma) Reamsnyder of Montpelier.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepdaughter-in-law, Kathy Sines.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Krill Funeral Service, Bryan.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or Dream Haven Licensed Adult Group Home.

Myrtle L. (Steinle) Wallace
(1919-2005)

On Friday, December 16, 2005, Myrtle L. Wallace, resident of The Manor Nursing Home, passed away after 86 years of living through a world of many changes. The family celebrates her life as a caring, devoted, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. From the depression and a small community of Bellefontaine, OH, through many WWII military moves to various states, Myrtle and husband Bill, moved to Bryan, OH to raise their family of five children.
Besides being a homemaker, Myrtle and her husband managed the Plaza Motel in Bryan, OH, raised their family, and supported their children through college. While in Bryan, she was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and Progress Club. She was a competitive card player and football fan. She loved music, and anything that involved her children. They and their families were her greatest treasure on earth. She learned to drive at 55 and she and her husband traveled to Hawaii, Brazil, South America, Ireland and England. She got to see the Grand Canyon at age 76. By the grace of God, a large family and a lot of friends, her life has been a blessing for her and those she touched. She will be missed my many but now she can rest in peace. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Clark Steinle; mother, Minnie Hurley; husband, William C. Wallace (10/14/1918 - 11/5/1993); and three sisters, Lucille Steinle, Katherine Stillings and Mary Coover.
She is survived by her children: William C. Wallace Jr. and wife Linda live in Pittsford, N.Y.; James L. Wallace and wife Irena live in Marysville, OH; Rev. Robert G. Wallace and wife Rose Ann live in York, PA; Judy A. Converse and husband Darrell live in Perrysburg, OH; and Susan D. Sloan and husband John live in Rescue, CA.
She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The grandchildren are: Kevin (wife Lilliana) Wallace, Slovakia; David (wife Paula) Wallace, Harker Hts., TX; Matthew (wife Annie) Wallace, Maineville, OH; Larysa (husband Steve) Gradeck, Pittsburgh, PA; Maria (husband Nick) Kazmaier, Rossford, OH; Sonia Wallace, Pittsburgh, PA; Brad Wallace, Baltimore, MD; Deb (husband Rich) Bird, Williamsport, PA; Dustin, Clayton, and Ashton Converse, Perrysburg, OH and Matthew Sloan, Rescue, CA. The great-grandchildren are: Michael, Kassie, Alexis, Michaela, David, William, Christopher, and Joseph.
A memorial service will be held in the spring, her favorite time of the year. The service will be May 12, 2006, 10:30 a.m., at the First Lutheran Church, 208 W. Sandusky Ave., Bellefontaine, OH. Burial will follow at the Huntsville Cemetery and a luncheon will follow that at the church. Gerald Joseph Schad
(1915- 2005)

Gerald Joseph Schad, 90, of Bryan, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at Hillside Country Living, Bryan.
Born Jan. 6, 1915, in Williams County, to Floye (Smith) and Leon Schad, he married Eva Sprow of Bryan on Feb. 16, 1941 at Bryan and she survives.
Retired from Swetnam/Brust Pipeline as a welder, he was a charter member of the Bryan Moose and a deacon and usher at First Presbyterian Church, Bryan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Alan (and wife, Carol) Schad of Bryan; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Seldon and Marvin Schad, both of Bryan; and a sister, Colleen Posey of Bryan.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Jerry Schad; a brother, Cleon Schad; two sisters, Viola Town and Cleola Schad; and a grandchild, Kelli Schad.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. in the Burr Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Shiffler Cemetery, Pulaski, with the Rev. Rob Marrow to officiate.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to the donor's choice.

John A. Buntain
(1914 - 2005)

MONTPELIER - John A. Buntain, 91, of Montpelier, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at Harborside Healthcare Northwestern Ohio-Bryan, following a lingering illness. Born Nov. 3, 1914, at Montpelier, to Ida Annice (Traxler) and Arthur Byron Buntain, he married Gwyneth Williams and she preceded him in death on March 12, 1986.
A lifelong Montpelier resident, he was a 1932 graduate of Montpelier High School and had served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II.
The owner and operator of Buntain's TV Sales and Service from 1946-1966, he had retired in 1984 from the Ohio Turnpike Commission where he had been employed for 18 years as a toll collector.
A member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Montpelier, he had also been a member of the American Legion Post No. 109 of Montpelier, the Neco Lanes Bowling Hall of Fame and, for over 50 years, was a licensed ham radio operator.
Surviving are five sons, David (and wife, Barbara) Buntain and Glyn (Sue) Buntain all of Bryan, Terry (Terry) Buntain of Montpelier, Timothy (Marian) Buntain of Maumee and Richard (Janet) Buntain of Talmadge; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Follis of Sherwood, Mich.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Buntain; and a sister, Grace Mansfield.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Roger E. Blough and Pastor Todd A. Mills to officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, where military graveside rites will be conducted by Montpelier Veterans Organizations.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
