Lloyd McClellan
(1911 - 2006)

BUTLER, Ind. - Lloyd McClellan, 94, of rural Butler died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Laurels of DeKalb, Butler, where he was a resident.
Born April 13, 1911, in DeKalb County to Laura (Nichols) and Jesse McClellan, he married Charlotte L. Cassel on March 22, 1934, near Angola, Ind. and she preceded him in death on April 9, 1995.
A lifelong farmer, he served two terms on the Eastside School Board in Butler and also served the school system as a bus driver for several years.
Surviving are two sons, Rex (and wife, Peggy) McClellan of Fort Wayne and Terry (Linda) McClellan of Angola; five grandchildren; two sisters, H. Marie Douglas of Fort Myers, Fla. and Wanda Maxton of Angola.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glen, and a sister, Iva Slentz. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Gleason to officiate. Burial will follow in Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton.
Memorials may be made to Future Farmers of America or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Esteleen Armchambeault

Esteleen (Schieber) Archambeault, 87, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at the Dilworth Center in Montpelier, following a recent stroke.
Born in Edon, she was the daughter of Leah (Kaiser) and Clem Schieber.
She attended business school in Baltimore, Md. and worked for Williams County before moving to Columbus where she was employed by the state and federal government, retiring in 1977. She lived in New Port Richey, Fla., before returning to Bryan at Hillside Country Living in 2002.
Surviving are a sister, Irene Fireovid of Bryan; a stepdaughter, Kathy Chamberlin of Garrett Park, Md.; a stepson, James Archambeault of Lexington, Ky.; three nephews, Mel (and wife, Pat) Fireovid of Cincinnati, Jim (Jane) Fireovid of Delmar, N.Y. and Steve (Michele) Fireovid of Bryan; and a niece, Mrs. Scott (Kathy) Stuart of Raleigh, N.C.
Visitation will be held today from 4-7 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the church.
Memorials may be made to the Dilworth Center, Montpelier; Hillside Country Living, Bryan; or the Endowment Fund at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan.

Charles J. Dunkle
(1922 - 2006)

EDGERTON - Charles J. Dunkle, 83, of Edgerton, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Center in Bryan.
Born March 29, 1922, in DeKalb County, Ind., he was the son of Bina (Walburn) and Coy Dunkle. He married Dorothy L. Krill on March 8, 1947, and she survives.
A 1943 graduate of Edgerton High School, he was a United States Navy veteran, serving in World War II. He was employed by the New York Central Railroad, then the Penn-Central Railroad and the Hillsdale Railroad in Hillsdale, Mich. He retired with thirty-seven years of service with the railroad. He was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, Edgerton Masonic Lodge 357, John D. Smith Post 10 of the Edgerton American Legion, where he was a past Commander, and Eagles Lodge Aerie 2233, of Bryan. He was also active with the Edgerton Boy Scouts.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cheryl VanCoppenolle, of Bryan and Robyn Higginbotham, of Irving, Texas ; five sons, Jim (and wife, Nha) Dunkle, of Azuza, Calif., Rick (Marilyn) Dunkle, of Fort Mill, S.C., Bruce Dunkle of Mumfordville, Ky., Brian (Kathy) Dunkle, of Edgerton and Jeff (Mindy) Dunkle of Duarte, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Ford of Hamilton, Ind.; a brother, Bob Dunkle, of Edgerton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Darrel Dunkle.
Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Gleason officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton with graveside military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post 10 of the American Legion.
Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.

Earles A. Wagler
(1919 - 2006)

FAYETTE - Iva F. Canfield, 86, of Lebanon, Mo., and formerly of Fayette, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, in her home.
Born in Webster Springs, W.Va., on Sept. 20, 1919, to Leola (Cogar) and Bud Anderson, she married Earnest Lee Canfield, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1972.
A Christian, she was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Buddy Canfield of Fayette and Kenneth Canfield of Oyster Creek, Texas ; two daughters, Carol Montague of Lebanon, Mo. and Kathy Carter (and fiancˇ Tom Korte) of Marchfield, Mo.; two stepsons, Clifford (and wife, Judy) Canfield and James Canfield, both of West Virginia; 14 grandchildren; few step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; a stepson, Robert Canfield; a stepdaughter, Helen Canfield; a brother; and two sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hollingshead-Beck Funeral Home in West Unity. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph B. Redmond officiating. Burial will be in the West Franklin Cemetery in Fulton County.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Lowell R. Boynton
(1917 - 2006)

STRYKER - Lowell R. Boynton, 88, of Stryker, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, in his home.
Born in Wauseon on Aug. 1, 1917, to Mabel (Juillard) and Frank Boynton, on July 8, 1941, he married Margaret Meyers, and she survives.
He was a member of the Stryker United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific.
Prior to his retirement he worked for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Lynda) Wieland of Stryker; one grandson; three great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother Lewis Boynton; and a sister Ruth Boynton. Friends may call at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Melvin Peter officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan.
Memorials be made to the Stryker United Methodist Church, CHWC Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.

Helene G. Kvet

Helene G. Kvet, 88, of Bryan, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006. A Bryan resident for the past eight years, she had been born and was a resident of Birmingham, Mich. for 80 years.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Kathy (Van Auken) Kvet, and a brother, Donald McBride.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the William R. Hamilton Funeral Home in Birmingham. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

James Louis Cooper
(1935 - 2006)

HICKSVILLE - James Louis Cooper, 70, formerly of Sherwood, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at his residence in Hicksville.
Born Sept. 8, 1935, in Defiance County, to Clarissa I. (Bentley) and Richard N. Cooper, he married Ellen R. Obenland on Feb. 12, 1956, and she survives.
A heavy equipment operator for the LaFarge Corporation of Paulding for 37 years, he had retired in 1994.
He attended St. John Lutheran Church in Sherwood.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Cooper of Edgerton and Cory Cooper of Sherwood; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Kris) Rosebrock of Hicksville and Mrs. Jacob (Jamie) Strahm of Defiance; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry (Janet) Cooper of Wauseon.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a granddaughter, Janet Anderson in 1991; three brothers, Allen, Richard and Jack; and two sisters, Viola Jean Holt and Nora Lee Jeese.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-9 p.m. in the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church, Sherwood.
Funeral services will be held in the church with the Rev. Robert D. Eble to officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Sherwood, or the Paulding County Area Visiting Nurses/Hospice.
