Pamela J. Jolly
(1958 - 2006)

ARCHBOLD - Pamela J. Jolly, 47, of Wauseon, died Monday evening, Feb. 21, 2006, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Born July 23, 1958, at Indiana, Pa., to Eilene (Morgan) and Charles "Gene" Bowman, she married Rodney Jolly on Dec. 18, 1981, and he survives.
A member of the Victory Barn Church in Edgerton, she had worked for the past six years at the Chardan Corporation in Bryan.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Gebhart of Wauseon and Mrs. Andrew (Amanda) Douse of Napoleon; two grandchildren; her parents, Charles "Gene" and Eilene Bowman of Archbold; and a sister, Mrs. Dave (Linda)  Jones of Middlebury, Ind.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Grisier Funeral Home, Archbold. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Rosene Short to officiate. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Victory Barn Church; Hospice, The Caring Way, of Williams and Fulton Counties; or the American Cancer Society.

Charlotte Marie Vollmar
(1921 - 2006)

GRAND RAPIDS - Charlotte Marie Vollmar, 84, of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 21, 2006, at Country View Haven in Napoleon.
Born April 9, 1921, at Tontogany, she was the daughter of Alta (McCombs) and Louis Pauff. On Sept. 27, 1940, she married Rex Louis Vollmar, and he survives.
A homemaker and farmer, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Chapter 356 OES.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Robert (and wife, Ruth) Vollmar of Bryan, James (Linda) Vollmar of Liberty Center and Kenny Vollmar of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; and a brother, Louis (Evelyn) Pauff of Tontogany. Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Gary Vollmar; and a brother, Arthur Pauff. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wright Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, with an Eastern Star service Thursday at 5:30 p.m. conducted by Grand Rapids Chapter 356, OES. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Pamela Gordon of First Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids to officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
Memorials may be made to Country View Haven in Napoleon.

Fern E. Hutchison
(1916 - 2006)

Fern E. Hutchison, 89, of Stryker and formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., since December of 2000, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at the Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio-Bryan.
Born Nov. 23, 1916, in Allen County, she was the daughter of Laura (Petersein) and Noah Moser. A graduate of Beaverdam High School in Beaverdam, she earned an LPN degree in nursing at Bluffton College in Bluffton. She was a checkout clerk for the A & P Grocery in Jacksonville, Fla. for 15 years, retiring in the year 2000.
A Protestant, she was a past member of the West Unity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Rita) Horton of Stryker; three sons, Gary (and wife, Carole) Hutchison of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Ronald (Ismerelda) Hutchison of Orange Park, Fla. and Donald (Celeste) Hutchison of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Eleanor Hall and Helen Younkman; a brother, Clair Moser; and a granddaughter, Suzanne Dalton.
Graveside services will be at a later date in the Floral Grove Cemetery in West Unity. Hollingshead-Beck Funeral Home of West Unity is in charge of arrangements.

Henry Loren Walters
(1913 - 2006)

Henry Loren Walters, 92, of Bryan, died Monday evening, Feb. 20, 2006, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan.
Born Dec. 14, 1913, in Northwest Township, Williams County, to Mary (Zeiter) and Joseph Earl Walters, he married Wanda Elinora Patten on June 26, 1938, in the First English Lutheran Church, Bryan, and she preceded him in death on March 21, 2003.
A 1931 graduate of Montpelier High School, he attended Bowling Green State University and taught grade schools in Northwest Township and Springfield Township for eight years.
He began an insurance career in 1933 and later founded Walters and Peck Insurance Agency in Bryan, retiring from the agency in 1978.
He was Director Emeritus of Grange Insurance Companies of Columbus, where he served as director for 24 years, retiring from that position in 1984. He was a charter member of Bryan Kiwanis Club, where he served as president, lieutenant governor, was a George Hixon Fellow, as well as a lifetime member of the club. He was a 70-year member of the Pulaski Grange Organization, where he served as Master of the former Pulaski Grange and the Williams County Pomona Grange and was a member of the State and National Grange. A lifetime member of the Bryan High Twelve Club, he was a 50-year member of the Bryan Masonic Lodge, Toledo Scottish Rite, Zenobia Shrine, Royal Arch and Royal Select Member. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, a former trustee and was a 50-year member in 2001. He was also a member of the Bryan Moose Lodge.
Surviving are a son, Ronald H. (Diana) Walters of Destin, Fla. and Clear Lake, Ind.; two grandchildren, Jason Walters of Lancaster and Mrs. Bradley (Linsey) Ansberg of Maumee; and a great-granddaughter, Maya Kay Walters of Lancaster.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-9 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan, with the Rev. Dwight Bowers to officiate. Burial will follow in Shiffler Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, the SHARE Foundation of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers of Williams County or the Bryan Area Foundation-Wanda and Henry Walters Scholarship Fund.

Madonna K. Stratton

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. - Madonna K. Stratton, 90, formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Martinsville, Ind.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to and are pending at Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home-Bryan.

Penny Ann Witt

MONTPELIER - Penny Ann Witt, 54, of Montpelier, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Feb. 27, 2006, at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Funeral service arrangements are pending at Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier.

eorge "Butch" Garman
(1949 - 2006)

HICKSVILLE - George "Butch" Garman, 56, of Hicksville, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Born Aug. 6, 1949, in Leo, Ind., to Lois (Hoover) and John Garman, he married Linda Burley on Feb. 22, 1970, and she survives.
Retired from General Motors in Defiance, he was a member of Eagles Aerie 2556 of Hicksville, American Legion Post 223 of Hicksville, VFW Post in Bryan and the Antwerp AmVets. He was affiliated with West Milford Church of Christ, Hicksville.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Lisa (and fiance, Dennis Tucker) of Hicksville; two sons, Ed (and wife, Sandy) of Bryan and John (Whitney Baker) of Hicksville; 12 grandchildren, Ian, Nicole, Skyler, Devon, Madison, Mikey, Skyla, Taylor, Owen, Morgan, Breanna and Alexis; a brother, Randy (Denise) of St. Joe, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Dave (Betty) Miller of Butler, Ind. and Rosemary Mabee of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and stepmother, Phyllis Garman of Skull Valley, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his father; his mother, Lois Murphy; and two brothers, Kenny and Steve. Visitation will be held today from 6-9 p.m. in the Smith & Brown Funeral Home with an Eagles service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Lloyd Mealer of the West Milford Church of Christ to officiate. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.

Mildred I. Schnitkey
(1925 - 2006)

ARCHBOLD - Mildred I. Schnitkey, 80, of Archbold and formerly of Wauseon, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at the Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon, following a brief illness. Born Sept. 2, 1925, in Fulton County, to Laura (Rupp) and Albert Seiler, she married Melvin F. Schnitkey on April 6,1947, and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Prior to her retirement, she managed the former McCoy's Restaurant in Wauseon and she also operated the kitchen at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
She was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Mennonite Church and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Jan (Sherry) Shellenberger of Pleasant Hill, Judy Rossman of Archbold, Melanie Miller of Pleasant Hill and Mrs. Maynard (Vicki) Raker of Fayette; 10 grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bud (Isabel) Gisel and Mrs. Bud (Gertrude) Hitt, both of Archbold; three sisters-in-law, Sherry Seiler and Elizabeth Schnitkey, both of Toledo, and Virginia Seiler of Meadville, Pa.; and a brother-in-law, Orville Schnitkey of Napoleon.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, seven brothers and sisters, and two sons-in-law.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. in the Grisier Funeral Home, Archbold.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Archbold with Pastor Brad Bame to officiate. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International or Fulton County EMS.
