Quinten B. Arthur

COLUMBUS -- Five-day-old Quinten B. Arthur died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Children's Hospital.

He was born Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at Marion General Hospital.

Survivors include his father and mother, Jeremy W. and Carrie A. (Creasap) Arthur, and two sisters.

Quinten has been chosen for organ donation by Children's Hospital.

Graveside services were held today at 11 a.m. in Marion Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Gunder/Hall and Folk Funeral Directors.

Memorial contributions can be made to Children's Hospital.

Catherine B. Hanley

GAHANNA -- Catherine B. Hanley, age 85, formerly of Marion and Port Clinton, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at 10:25 p.m. in Sunrise of Gahanna.

She was born June 25, 1917, in Great Falls, Mont., to the late Roy J. and Monica K. (Krost) Garceau.

She married John D. "Jack" Hanley Dec. 6, 1942, he died July 14, 2001.

She was a graduate of St. Mary of the Woods, Terre Haute, Ind., in 1939, attended St. Mary Church of Marion and Immaculate Conception Church when residing in Port Clinton.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Daniel) Berridge, Beavercreek, Kathleen (James) Caruso, Holland, Patricia (David) Boudouris, Perrysburg; two sons, John (Sandy) Hanley, Concord, Tom (Karyn) Hanley; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Garceau of Port Clinton; nieces and nephews. A brother, John Garceau, two sisters, twin Roseann Murphy and Mary (Richard, living) Dore are deceased.

Funeral Mass will be said 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at St. Mary Church, Marion, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, from 6-8 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors where prayers will be held at 6 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, St. Mary Church or Immaculate Conception Church.

Amelia May Honaker

COLUMBUS -- Amelia May Honaker, 79, Columbus, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

Born Jan. 25, 1923, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Elizabeth (Edwards) Honaker.

She is survived by a brother, Leroy Honaker of Upper Sandusky; two sisters, Georgia Carr Farrow of Marion, Dixie Meadows of Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Charles, Robert and James Honaker, two sisters, Ruth Ferrin and Mary Schneider.

Graveside services were held 1 p.m. today at Caledonia Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Ford officiating. Calling hours were not observed. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Boyd Funeral Home.

Thomas Wayne McNally

MADISONVILLE, Tenn. -- Thomas Wayne McNally, 65, Madisonville, Tenn., passed away at 2:32 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at his residence.

Born March 6, 1937, in Huntington, Ind., he was the son of the late Edward Russell McNally Sr. and Helen Lucile (Welker) McNally.

He married Ethel May Winslow Sparling McNally; she survives in Madisonville.

He was a locomotive engineer for Erie-Conrail Railroad, member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Madisonville, Moose Lodge 599, Elkhart, Ind., and president of Local Union BLF & E.

He is also survived by a son, DeWayne (Donna) McNally of Austin, Texas ; two daughters, Cynthia Stallman of Murfreesboro, and Karen Sue (Clarence) Kean of Mansfield, Texas ; a foster daughter, Miyuki Kobayashi of Japan; two brothers, Robert E. McNally of Ellenton, Fla., and William McNally of Largo, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; five stepchildren, Cheryl Hall of Topmost, Ky., Carol Howell of LaRue, Ohio, Gloria McKinniss and Samuel Sparling, both of Marion, Ohio, and William Sparling of Perrysburg, Ohio; 12 stepgrandchildren and 17 step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward J. McNally.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Fugate officiating. Burial is in Marion Cemetery. Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knoxville Cancer Center, 1114 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909.

Betty Jane Ross Shrader

MOUNT GILEAD -- Betty Jane Ross Shrader, age 67, of Mount Gilead died unexpectedly Friday evening, Sept. 27, 2002, from injuries received in an automobile accident on U.S. 42 north of Mount Gilead.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. tonight at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury, and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Pastor Birt Scott officiating. Interment in Northlawn Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Morrow County Adult and Crippled Children's Foundation.

Mary (Kessell) Cochran

Mary Caroline (Kessell) Cochran was called home to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:16 p.m. Saturday, Oct., 2002, at Fairhaven Community Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky.

Born in Red House, W.Va., Nov. 21, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Austie Rutan.

On Dec. 25, 1938, she married Ernest H. Kessell and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1977. On July 4,1981, in Marion, she married Pearl Cochran and he survives.

She was a retired clerk for Rink's Department Store after 11 years of service. She is currently a member of Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ and for many years, was a member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church. Her life centered around her faith and her family.

She is survived by two sons, Raymond (Bonnie) Kessell of Morral and Ernest Steven (Teresa) Kessell of Marion; two daughters, Rosalee Montgomery of Carlisle, Ohio, and Mrs. Rudy (Louise) Armendinger; two stepsons, Herschel (Rose) Cochran of White House, Tenn. and Jack (Chong) Cochran of Columbus; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Pat (Carol Weldon of Gahanna and Mrs. David (Janet) Covert of Red House, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren, and six stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, James Otis Rutan of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Ernest (Irene) Lyons of Eleanor, W.Va. Five sisters, one brother, a son-in-law, a grandson, and a stepgrandson preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Boyd Funeral Home with Phil Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or charity of the donor's choice.
