Naomi Faye Forlow

Age: 91
Naomi Faye Forlow, 91, of Van Wert died at 5 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2003, at Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Jan. 16, 1912, in Rockford, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Pearl Baird Hawk.
Mrs. Forlow retired from Continental Can after 33 years.
Survivors include:
Sisters -- Mrs. Louise Sielschott and Mrs. Kathleen Snook Hays, both of Celina
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Reid, Rex, William, Paul, Gordon, A.J. and Carl.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling hours are 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Lorenz Richard Muntzinger
Died: Friday, April 25, 2003
Age: 92
CONVOY - Lorenz Richard Muntzinger, 92, formerly of 203 N. Cherry St. Convoy, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.
He was born Feb. 4, 1911, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late William and Alwine (Stamm) Muntzinger.
Mr. Muntzinger, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, retired from Continental Can Co. (Greif Bros.) and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Convoy.
Survivors include one sister, Erma (Howard) Lake of Kendallville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Jacob Muntzinger and Martin Muntzinger, and two sisters, Luella Frane and Trina Muntzinger in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6727 State Route 49, Convoy, the Rev. Mike Saylor of Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, Convoy.
Calling hours are 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Cowan & Son Stainfield Memorial Home, Convoy, and an hour prior to service Monday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Virgil Roy Turner
Died: Thursday, April 24, 2003
Age: 83
CELINA - Virgil Roy Turner, 83, of Celina died at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2003, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born July 25, 1919, in Mercer County. He married Kathleen Hazel Price, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 16, 1989, he married Ruth Ida (Hamilton) Houts, who survives in Celina.
Mr. Turner, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was an engineer for Martin-Marietta (Aircraft Industry) in California and Middletown.
Other survivors include:
Son - Robert N. (Sharon) Turner of Alamogordo, N.M.
Brother - Walter Turner of Florida
A grandson, Michael Turner, survives in Ontario, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucy J. Turner, who died May 16, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Celina First Church of God, the Revs. Richard VanHorn and Bruce Strine of Celina First Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery, Malta, where graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. today at W.H Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, and an hour ahead of services Sunday at the church.
Norma C. Warnecke
Died: Thursday, April 24, 2003
Age: 76
SPENCERVILLE - Norma C. Warnecke, 76, of rural Spencerville died at 9:46 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following a short illness.
She was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Arnold J. and Florence C. Gerdeman Reindel. On May 25, 1946, she married Carl H. Warnecke, who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1998.
Mrs. Warnecke was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Spencerville and its Altar Rosary Society and choir. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband and family on their farm. She also worked on the Allen County Election Board for several years and volunteered at the Roselawn Manor. She graduated as valedictorian of her class at Middle Point High School in 1944. She was a great cook and loved high school baseball.
Survivors include six sons, Ronald (Jayne Vaske) Warnecke of Elida, Wayne (Alice) Warnecke of Delphos, James (Patricia) Warnecke of Spencerville, Robert (Marie) Warnecke of Ottoville, Larry (Mary Ann) Warnecke of Delphos and Kenny Warnecke of Spencerville; one daughter, Lois (Steven) Hemker of Landeck; 16 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen (Hubert) Holgreve of Delphos and Ruth (Robert) Kaufman of Defiance, and one brother, Melvin (Jane) Reindel of Middle Point.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Andy Warnecke, and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Warnecke.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Church, the Rev. John Fleck officiating. Burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today and 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, where a parish wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Donald J. Carder

Age: 78
DELPHOS - Donald J. Carder, 78, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center.
He was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Van Wert, the son of the late Frank and Elsie (Blockberger) Carder. He married Lucille K. Hofstetter.
Mr. Carder, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, was a production supervisor at Central Soya Corp., retiring after 29 years.
Survivors include:
Sons - Robert (Toni) Carder of Boca Raton, Fla., and Paul Carder, Dale (Denise "Bunny") Carder and Larry (Mary) Carder, all of Delphos
Daughters - Diane Carder and Sue (David) McNeal, both of Delphos, and Mary (Robert) Jackson of Oak Creek, Wis.
Sisters - Amelia Bullinger of Fort Jennings, Lois (Wilfred) Osting of Delphos, and Mary Lou (Rollin) Bullinger and Jeanette (Donald) Mesker, both of Oakwood
Brothers - Orville "Bud" (Clara) Carder and Delbert (Martha) Carder, both of Delphos, and Richard (Joann) Carder of Ottoville
Eleven grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Brotherwood and Colleen Carder.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos, where a Veterans of Foreign Wars service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday followed by a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Jesse Carlan Moore
Died: Wednesday, April 23, 2003
Age: 89
CELINA - Jesse Carlan Moore, 89, of Celina, formerly of Fort Recovery, died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at the Gardens at Celina, Celina.
He was born Aug. 14, 1913, in Postdam in Miami County, the son of the late Jesse Irving and Mattie D. (Spade) Moore.
On Oct. 7, 1945, he married Margaret Hunley, who preceded him in death on June 14, 1968. On Feb. 20, 1971, he married Pauline (Ingle) Kugel, who preceded him in death on Sept. 7, 1978.
Mr. Moore was a tool & die maker and inventor, holding over 20 U.S. patents.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include:
Sons - Stanley Craig (Linda) Moore of Fletcher, N.C., and Joseph Howard Moore of San Francisco, Calif.
Daughter - Mary Hope Funkhouser of Pawleys Island, S.C.
Brothers - Ray H. Moore and Gerald H. Moore
Sister - Pauline Alexander
Four grandchildren and a great-grandson also survive.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Reynolds, Doris Wright and Betty Ummel, and four brothers, Robert K. Moore, Dale Moore, Cecil Moore and Leonard Moore.
Graveside services will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, at a later date with the Rev. W. Clark Williman of Calvary Evangelical Church officiating.
There will be no visitation.
