L. Louise Keuneke
Died: Wednesday, October 08, 2003
Age: 78

ROCKFORD — L. Louise Keuneke, 78, of rural Rockford died unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at her residence.

She was born April 20, 1925, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late David Sylvester Heckert and Maude Pearl Mauller. On Sept. 19, 1942, in St. Thomas Lutheran Church, she married Erwin Karl Keuneke, who survives in Rockford.

Mrs. Keuneke was a homemaker.

Other survivors include:

Daughters — Linda (David) Leighner of Rockford and Donna Keuneke of Ohio City

Sons — John E. (Kathy) Keuneke and David W. (Debra) Keuneke, both of Rockford

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Heckert, and a son, Edward Keuneke.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. (Indiana time) Saturday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Ind., the Rev. Steve Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Protestant Evangelical Cemetery.

Calling hours are 1-7 p.m. (Indiana time) Friday at the funeral home.

Marcile K. Tribolet
Died: Wednesday, October 08, 2003
Age: 94

Marcile K. Tribolet, 94, of Van Wert died at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.

She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Daniel and Lillian (Palmer) McCollum. She first was married to Ray Waldron and then to Chet Tribolet, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tribolet had been an employee of the former DWG Cigar Mfg. plant in Van Wert.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia L. Klewer and Nancy (Bill) Evans, both of Van Wert; two sons, Jack (Barb) Tribolet and Gary (Eunice) Tribolet, both of Van Wert; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; three brothers, William, Derbin and Kenneth McCollum; four sisters, Nell Marvin, Norene Thomas, Elizabeth Seymore and Madge Coombs, plus one infant brother and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is the Activities Fund of Vancrest Health Care Center.

Bonita I. Walls
Died: Monday, June 23, 2003
Age: 77

Bonita I. Walls, 77, of Van Wert died at 3:40 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center.

She was born Nov. 18, 1925, in  Jackson Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Ralph and Marjorie (Shumaker) Anderson. She married Ernie E. Walls, who survives in Van Wert.

Mrs. Walls retired from Federal Mogul in Van Wert and was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church, also in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two sisters, Wileta Fisher of Van Wert and Sharon Sherman of Marlton, N.J.; an uncle, Dale Shumaker of Middle Point; two nephews; one niece, and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. W. Clark Williman of Calvary Evangelical Church officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Ridge Township.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Calvary Evangelical Church.

Mary Ann Pax
Died: Sunday, June 22, 2003
Age: 94

CELINA — Mary Ann Pax, 94, of Celina died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2003, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, the Rev. Richard R. Riedel officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.

Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.

Valeria Siefker
Died: Sunday, June 22, 2003
Age: 93

DELPHOS — Valeria Siefker, 93, of Delphos died at 3:35 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2003, at Calvery Manor in Glandorf.

She was born May 25, 1910, in Ottoville, the daughter of the late Anthony and Bernadine (Perrin) Clementz. On Sept. 30, 1931, she married Joseph A. Siefker, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Siefker was a homemaker.

Survivors include:

Sons — Donald (Shirley) Siefker of Fort Jennings, Gerald "Jerry" Siefker of Delphos and Joseph (Kathleen) Siefker of Elida

Daughters — Alma (Harold) Carpenter of Ottawa and Ann Daughtery of Del Rio, Texas

Brother — Frank (Helen) Clementz of Ottoville

Eighteen grandchildren, Steven, Paul, Mark, John, Timothy, Michael, Jerry Jr., Bill and Scott Siefker, Lisa Thompson, Rick, Norm, Dale and Larry Carpenter, JoAnna Klause, Lorie Ditto, Andrea Early and Adam Daughtery, 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis, Eugene and Joe Clementz, a sister, Josephine Bockrath, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Siefker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Funeral Home. There will be a Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary No. 9142 service at 7 p.m. today, a Catholic Ladies of Columbia Chapter 84 service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a parish wake service at 8:30 p.m., all at the funeral home.

Betty Jo Comer
Died: Sunday, June 22, 2003
Age: 45

WAPAKONETA — Betty Jo (Bailey) Comer, 45, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2003, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home, Wapakoneta.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Ronald C. Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery in  Jefferson Township.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Becky Lynn McCauley
Died: Thursday, June 19, 2003
Age: 51

DELPHOS — Becky Lynn (Clark) McCauley, 51, of Spencerville, formerly of Delphos, died at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the Cleveland Clinic.

She was born Sept. 13, 1951, in Delphos, the daughter of Melvin L. Clark of Delphos and the late Lillian V. (Dunifon) Clark. On Dec. 31, 1979, she married Mark McCauley.

Mrs. McCauley was a homemaker.

Other survivors include:

Sister — Della (Clair) Lucas of Fort Jennings

Brothers — Ernest Clark of Bryan, Melvin E. Clark of Lima, John H. (Lucille) Clark of Wren and Frederick J. (Sandra) Clark of Cridersville

She was preceded in death by three infant nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. Darwin Hartman officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Kelly M. Pearson
Died: Thursday, June 19, 2003
Age: 19

Kelly M. Pearson, 19, of Van Wert died Thursday, June 19, 2003, near Bluffton, Ohio.

He was born Sept. 18, 1983, in Greenville, the son of Scott and Ramona J. (Helms) Pearson, who survive.

Other survivors include:

Maternal grandmother — Phyllis (Al) Helms of Greenville

Brothers — Jason M. Pearson and Cody M. Pearson, both of Van Wert

Aunts — Scheryl (Tom) Biegel of Dayton, Linda (Deane) Allen of Woodbridge, Va., and Rhonda Pearson of Greenville

Numerous cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Dr. Edward Jillson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Calling hours are 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Patricia Kay Mason
Died: Thursday, June 19, 2003
Age: 51

OAKWOOD — Patricia Kay "Pat" Mason, 51, died at 3:45 p.m. (EDT) Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born June 25, 1951, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Stutz) Miller. On Nov. 18, 1968, she married Gary L. Mason, who survives.

Mrs. Mason was a personnel manager at Wal-Mart in Bryan.

Other survivors include two sons, Gary Mason Jr. of Oakwood and Edward Mason of Defiance; six brothers, Billy (Karen) Miller of Cape Coral, Fla., Jimmy (Cindy) Miller and Gary (Deb) Miller, both of Van Wert, Ronald Miller of Fort Wayne, Michael (Mary) Miller of Valley Center, Kan., and Marvin Miller of Sandusky; one sister, Marcia (Bryan) Pancake of Van Wert, and two grandchildren, Chase and Savannah Mason of Defiance.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) Tuesday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, the Rev. Robert Merriman officiating. Burial will be in Little Auglaize Cemetery, Melrose.

Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. (EDT) Monday and 8 a.m. to time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network.
