PAYNE — Shelly A. Litzenberg, 31, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, in Paulding.
She was born Feb. 17, 1972, in Paulding, the daughter of Michael Litzenberg of Antwerp and Kathy Litzenberg of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Ms. Litzenberg was employed by the Ohio Dept. of Transportation in Paulding.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Payne, the Rev. Amy Haines officiating. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne.
Calling hours are after 3 p.m. Sunday at Slade Funeral Home, Payne.
William D. Kreischer
Died: Tuesday, September 02, 2003
Age: 66
CONVOY — William D. "Bill" Kreischer, 66, of Convoy died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 5, 1937, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Wilbur M. "Mike" and Ruby M. (Adams) Kreischer.
Mr. Kreischer was a retired foreman from Union Quarry Co., Scott. He worked part-time at Ziggy’s and The Tavern, both in Convoy. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and attended Trinity Friends Church, both in Van Wert. He was also a member of the Convoy Fox Hunter’s Club, helped with the Convoy Fire Dept. fundraisers, was a loyal Crestview Knight fan and would volunteer his time for numerous community activities.
Survivors include his children, Gary (Connie) Kreischer, Richard W. (Tania) Kreischer and Sandy (Jerry) Smith, all of Convoy; three brothers, Philip (Carol) Kreischer, Dennis (Debbie) Kreischer and Stephen Kreischer, all of Convoy; two sisters, Patricia (Dale) Perrott of Van Wert and Jane (Fred) Germann of Convoy; 14 grandchildren; 17 nieces and nephews, and 19 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Wayne Kreischer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy, the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Convoy.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. today and an hour prior to service time Friday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Convoy Fire & EMS.

Leoda Boehm Davidson
Died: Tuesday, September 02, 2003
Age: 83
ELIDA — Leoda Boehm Davidson, 83, of Elida died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Roselawn Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Phillip J. and Matilda Elizabeth Redick Boehm. On June 16, 1942, she married Walter Edwin Davison, who survives in Spencerville.
Mrs. Davidson was former owner and beautician at Leoda’s Beauty Salon in Elida for 25 years.

Stepson — Gary (Laura) Davidson of Lima
Brother — Roy (Clara Jean) Boehm of Galion
Three grandchildren, Lisa McAlpine, Michael Lee and Scott Lee, and four great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Boehm and Marvin Boehm.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Creation Lutheran Church, Elida, the Rev. Don Leckrone officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Elida.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, and an hour prior to service Saturday at the church in Elida.
Harold E. Dillon
Died: Tuesday, September 02, 2003
Age: 66
MIDDLE POINT — Harold E. "Bill" Dillon, 66, of Middle Point died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.
He was born March 4, 1937, in Delphos, the son of the late Forest and Louise (Buschor) Dillon. On Aug. 15, 1960, he married Helen Johnson, who survives in Middle Point.
Mr. Dillon attended elementary and high school at St. John’s in Delphos. He was employed at Krey Packing Co. in Delphos for many years and retired from Borden Foods in Van Wert. He was also a former member of the Delphos Eagles.
Other survivors include three daughters, Brenda Gilbert of Lima, Elaine (Larry) Laswell of Osgood, Ind., and Linda (Jason) Schaffner of Middle Point; six grandsons, Steven Gilbert and Jon Gilbert, both of Grover Hill, Brittin Schaffner and Lincoln Schaffner, both of Middle Point, and Nathan Laswell and Nicholas Laswell, both of Osgood; one granddaughter, Ashley Laswell of Osgood, and a sister, Elizabeth (Gary) Wren of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dillon.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert.
Preferred memorial is Vancrest Activity Area.
Lois R. Dilbone
Died: Tuesday, September 02, 2003
Age: 84
Lois R. Dilbone, 84, formerly of Van Wert, a resident of Colon, Mich. for 23 years, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Harborside Healthcare, Sylvania.
She was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Clifford and Eva (Tomlinson) Beamer. She was first married to John Walls in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1959. She then married Wilbur Dilbone in 1974 and he preceded her in death in 1995.
While in Van Wert, Mrs. Dilbone had been employed at Borden Foods and at McCoy’s Flowers. She enjoyed quilting with the neighbors.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Walls) Ackerson, son-in-law, Glenn Ackerson, and granddaughter, Cassandra Ackerson, all of Lambertville, Mich.; one sister, Helen (Bill) Wilcox of Fort Wayne, Ind., one brother, Virgil Beamer of Van Wert, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert, Darris McNeely officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 11:30 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.

E. Jeanne Pollock Wise
Died: Monday, September 01, 2003
Age: 79
E. Jeanne Pollock Wise, 79, of Van Wert died at 2:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.
She was born Nov. 11, 1923, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Coil) Lewis. On Aug. 18, 1940, she married Stanley Robert Pollock, who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1975. In September 1986, she married Robert J. Wise, who preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1995.
Mrs. Wise retired from Aeroquip Corp. (Eaton) in 1987. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Van Wert and the auxiliaries of the Van Wert posts of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. A 1940 graduate of York High School, she was the 1940 Queen Jubilee of the Van Wert Peony Festival.
Other survivors include three sons, Terry R. (Carolyn) Pollock of Los Alamidos, Calif., and Jeff L. (Marcia) Pollock and Scott M. (Vicki) Pollock, both of Van Wert; five stepchildren, Sam Wise of Van Wert, Jim (Brenda) Wise of Hillsdale, Mich., Julie (Steve) Youtsey of Haviland, Sara (Joel) Haller of Camden, Mich., and Jeff (Teresa) Wise of Convoy; a sister, Peg Schwartz of rural Van Wert; six grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one due in April.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Joachim Wilck of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in King Cemetery, Washington Township.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is American Cancer Society.
Margaret C. Bevens
Died: Saturday, August 30, 2003
Age: 67
DELPHOS — Margaret C. Bevens, 67, of Delphos, formerly of Fremont, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, at Roselawn Manor.
She was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Thomas and Myrtle Brown.
She was employed at Bellvue Manufacturing.
Survivors include:
Stepsons — William (Shirly) Bevens of Tennessee and Fielden (Alice) Bevens of Washington state
Daughters — Sheena (William) Smith of Theodore, Ala., Tammy Best of Delphos and Donna Bevens of Washington state
Sisters — Roberta (Donald) Fleming of Castalia and Kathy Brown of Ohio
Nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Trehan, a sister, Louise Armstrong, and a half brother, Roger Brown
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos, the Rev. David Howell officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date in Kentucky.

Joy Berlyn Wright Stemen
Died: Friday, August 29, 2003
Age: 89
CONVOY — Joy Berlyn Wright Stemen, 89 years, of Convoy, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, after a period of declining health. For the past year, she had resided at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, Ohio.
Joy was born April 30, 1914, in Grover Hill, Ohio, to O.W. (Tim) and Laura Agnes (Sutton) Wright. She married H. Kenneth Stemen on Sept. 18, 1934 and they celebrated 50 years together before his death on March 7, 1985.
Joy loved her family, her church and music. She began playing piano for silent movies at the age of 13. She was a member of the Convoy United Methodist Church where she served as pipe organist for over 50 years. She was a member of United Methodist Women and the Convoy American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by three children, K. Rodney Stemen of Westlake, Ohio, Frances (Abe) Mast of Millersburg and Gary L. (Sue) Stemen of West Bloomfield, Mich.; a brother, Harold B. (Shirley) Wright of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, M. Athene Bracken, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Stemen.
Calling hours will be Saturday, Aug. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 31 at 4 p.m. at Convoy United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill, Ohio. Rev. Greg Leigh will officiate.
